Wow, I forgot how hard these puzzles are. The first thing that
stands out are the lines, ‘hot with goosebumps, “can a cat get a cold”,
“can a tiger swim” etc. These are situations that we think are uncommon
    but are quite common.

Years ago a teacher, one would expect, would not have tattoos but
would not be uncommon now. Also a preacher remarrying would not be
un heard of in this day and age.

This is just a start from me. I need more time to reflect. Not just look
at the puzzle….but BE the puzzle…immerse myself in the puzzle

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

Pointed out the full moon last night to a neighbor, citing the rarity of such an occasion. She just had an “Oh, really?” reaction.

At another neighbor’s urging, I’ve been doing much research into prophecies. He said to google, BABA VENGA, and to take it all “with a grain of salt”. So I did; and was rather taken aback, by her prophecy (she died in the early ’90s) that an African American man would be the 44th president. She added that he would be the last U.S. president. We discussed that. And since she had also prophesied that Europe will be history, (my words) by the end of 2016, we had to try to link the 2 prophecies. The only one we came up with, is (in his opinion) that our current president is actually Muslim, and her prophecy that Moslems would rule what we now know as Europe. And the Caliph’s caliphate would be in Rome.
We wound up with a “Que Sera, Sera” conclusion. We have always have felt that the ultimate solution lies with The Almighty God!

Another tenant, who happens to be a film extra, has give us her The Hollywood Reporter issues. She votes for the SAG awards. She doesn’t dish, so to speak; so we don’t ask. But I see from The Los Angeles Times, that “Joy” got negative reviews. Reviews were divided over “The Hateful Eight”; excellent for “The Revenant”; So-so for “The Big Short”, and negative, to hearty approval, for the “Star Wars” movie. Don’t have the time or money to see all.

To seek some serenity during the holidays, I’m now reading “90 Minutes in Heaven” by Don Piper. Real stories about encounters with angels. We’ve all had them; or have we?

    Hi WR,

What a great time of year to be checking out websites that
focus on future predictions. I will definately check out the
    site you suggest.

I’m just drunk enough to put out my thoughts on Ian’s latest
    riddle.

Well, if I wanted to enlist in some euro spy agency, I would expect to
see this riddle in a “finals exam” .

Ian never wrights in riddles unless he is referrring to Brad and Angelina.
This would be for legal reasons. One sentence in all his riddles makes sense
and guides you in the interpretation of the riddle. In this case it is the
sentence “could have had it all”

Another thing I think he is saying is that anyone can have an online
    presence.

Every statement in this rddle can be researched online…as such
anyone can MOULD their public personality with online articles.

Everyone can project the image they want, and in fact no-one really
(at least not youngish people) question the facts presented.

Yes, I totally agree with you both. The average citizen can now manipulate the media. We do wonder who’s “pulling the strings” to put which items out there. Pick and choose whatever suits their agenda. And the public just takes it as gospel. This comes from a lifetime of being fed entertainment characters. These become real people to them. How many times we see some reporter refer to an actor as the most famous character they portrayed.
Even reality shows are scripted. What made me do the math were the phony dramatic incidents. For example, a few years ago, a very lame news report of a frontrunner in “Dancing with the Stars”, having an accident. He was the eventual winner.
And recently, it was obvious who was going to win. They would feature drama about this person, and favor them with easier assignments.
It was a couple of contestants who “spilled the beans” about who would eventually win “American Idol” some time back.
And now many viewers are convinced the drama at Miss Universe, Sunday night, was all orchestrated.
So we are all manipulated. Where will it lead? So many scenarios!

Re: Brangelina: Ordinary people such as my barber have either no interest,; or comment about what a strange couple they are.

The National Enquirer did quote some professional who said that Brad “is into men”. Also, he’s had some surgical procedures for when he will show up promoting “The Big Short”. The silly part is when not a few reporters call him a “hunk”. Now, that is reaching! They don’t see the dyed hair; the plugs; the surgical scars, and evidence of being 52 years of age.

In an earlier picture, some critics mentioned his shampooed hair, (unreal for the ancient time period); and the body double used for close-ups of his thighs. The Las Vegas Journal reviewer was seemingly insulted by this presentation. Maybe that movie, “Thor” was the reason for the “hunk” label; or it could be PEOPLE magazine, who labeled him The Sexiest Man Alive. I’ve seen many men in my wanderings who outclass Pitt, but don’t need celluloid to manipulate people. But fame has the power to add to the mix.

Speaking of power, The Los Angeles Times has it. It is right in the center of where most of the Oscar voters are. The writers know when the Oscar ballots go out; when the voting is in season; they may even interview some voters, confidentially/ Conversely, they could hurt the momentum of certain candidates. This has been done since the beginning. When there is a bona-fide threat to their favorite, enough voters may just not vote for the threat, even if well-deserving. I could cite examples, and may, later.

Back to the activity of the holidays!

Nice to see some of the regulars back again. That’s an interesting prophecy, WR. It’s been prophesied that we have our last pope and now our last president. The National Enquirer (not that we believe most of what they write) had as one of their headlines that terrorists have already infiltrated the white house. Who know if it’s trues, nothing really surprises me anymore. Not sure who watches Homeland here (excellent series about the CIA) but maybe the writers can make that their storyline next season.

There are some fans/admirers of “Downton Abbey” here. I started to watch because a friend was pressing me to watch. Reluctantly I did, because it seemed to be a potential source of good discussion; and am I glad to be a regular viewer!

By now, I’m aware of much of what goes into a production, but our local station showed I had much more to learn, than what I could assume. And I did miss the first three seasons; and it took a while to get into the then, current season.

No wonder there are times when one couldn’t really get in touch with some tenants. They had turned off their phones during the showing, much like others turn off theirs during our football games.

This is almost like a “post-holidays blues” period. A lull. But we’ll soon be into the swing of 2016. This is prophesied to be a big year for Islam all over the world. But, who likes to hear bad news? No one!

A good acquaintance, and I, do talk a lot about stuff the average person doesn’t want to even discuss. But we, too, don’t want to hear about imminent tragedies of great proportions. We always temper the enormity of such happenings in store, with the claim that nobody really knows the future, except God. This puts us in a more serene state of being.

Saw “The Danish Girl”. It was the closest to my area, of all the good movies one hears about at this time. It lagged at times for me; but overall it was quite satisfactory. A few parts could have been improved, but one must remember the time period it takes place, and put oneself in that period.

Alicia Vykander is glorious as the sturdy partner of the Eddie Redmayne character. Mr. Redmayne is once again handed a very difficult role to excel in. His is one of the very best performances I’ve seen for a while. Physically, he seemed not quite right for the part. He does have the facial looks, but seemed a bit too manly in the physical being of the character.
Among the many Oscar pundits, he’s one of the top three vote-getters! Leonardo Di Caprio and the actor who plays Steve Jobs, are the other two. I think he’s Michael Fassbender.

Okay then, Brangelina. He’s been hunting for sure-fire scripts, so he can be up for Oscars as producer. He’s been doing it ever since his search for roles didn’t quite pan out, and his age caught up with him. Now, there is a huge amount of very talented older actors. So, the hunt for Oscar-bait scripts. He’s searching for a space story, now that others have had huge success with Avatar, Gravity and The Martian, among others.

She’s directing in a foreign country. Many a blogger wonder how she gets these assignments, considering her considerable lack of skills. But we always remember that she owns the media.
And she did get raves from her father, Jon Voight, for her helming of “Unbroken”.

The National Enquirer is now focused on their alleged, very expensive upcoming divorce.
It doesn’t go into details. Who cares? That ship has sailed, so to speak.

In my area of the US, we’ve been hit hard by El Nino. But the weather people say it’s over for the duration.

We had had some very unusual news. One example: Over the holidays, a young man vacationed here from Indiana. Now, we have some dangerous areas, where even locals have been lost due to unstable cliffs and strong tides. One popular cliff area in particular. The 33 y/o vacationer got out of his car, and his new girlfriend proceeded to find a parking area. Here’s the stunner: The man started walking while checking out his cell phone (?). So engrossed was he, that he lost his footing, and it was a 40 ft. drop. Witnesses said he yelled out a plea for God’s help.

Flash flood warnings were frequent. Last year, during the strong rain, I went to a nearby street with about 6 eateries just on that street, and was amazed to see a flash flood rushing over the concrete.

Hi Guest2. It is a scary thought and I have no idea why he would be assasinated now unless there is a plan is in place to take over our country. I kept reading posts that Obama is our last president due to his not handing over the office and I wanted to know where the story was coming from and instead I found several articles that say Nostradamus has predicted the assasination of Obama. We live in scary times and they say history repeats itself just with different people and while I don’t know who I want to be our new president; I do know who I’m not voting for. :(

I like Bernie Sanders as I think he is probably the closest thing to an honest politician in this whole group but I don’t think he can pull of a win. Hillary is the anointed one in the party. I probably shouldn’t get into a political discussion but I honestly don’t understand this Trump phenomenon. He’s rude, vulgar and offensive and to me he is scary as hell. Maybe someone who supports him can explain the appeal. To me he is part of the problem and not the solution. The man is in the gaming business for crying out loud. From what I’ve read/heard, this year is proclaimed “The Year of Mercy” in the Catholic Church. Pope Francis declared it last December. The pope did also say about 3 years ago, that he’d most probably be the head of the church for just 2-3 years. Perhaps age, (he’s about 80) or illness will seem to be the reason.
Here’s the thing: In Catholic belief, God’s Mercy Precedes His Justice! But he has to be a just God, as he wouldn’t be God if he wasn’t.
It’s in the bible, that He did a vast cleansing of the earth, at least twice.

If one were to google “3 Days of Darkness”, there is a lot of prophecy material on the menu. Many holy people totally dedicating their lives to God and who didn’t know of each other, have made predictions about the above subject. Always the proviso: Mankind has to voluntarily repent, in order to satisfy God’s justice. If we don’t, God, in His inestimable Mercy will send us catastrophes. This is “Involuntary Penance”. (We are given every chance to voluntarily repent; but God is perfect, and part of his perfection is Justice; therefore, the plagues; the famine; wars; earthquakes, etc!)

I’m only reporting what I read. A lot of it makes sense; but the seers did emphasize that God has the last word

As for Trump, his appeal is because he tells it right up front; i.e. what he feels about our society. Now, the others want to use every wily tactic to get us on their side. They will use oily conversation to make us believe in them. Nothing new, there. But, there are sites that report the Bush politicians have had dealings with the Nazis before, and during WWII.
There are liberals here who will vote for Trump, because they are sick of what they perceive Obama to be. They feel he is going to open our country to the Muslims. Their reason: they strongly feel Obama is actually a Muslim. They say he was born in Kenya, not Hawaii. They feel he had his birth certificate doctored. All kinds of stuff. One man here did a lot of research; he spends much of some days on the computer for research purposes.

It would take pages to report what I’ve heard. One die-hard liberal here, nevertheless detests Obama. Myself, I want to hear all the voices out there.

There was a very fresh-faced and famous actor who showed up to the Golden Globe Awards without his significant other. Not a big deal… except that he couldn’t seem to keep his excuses straight as to why she wasn’t there! Somebody asked him where [she] was, and he said, “Oh, she’s in the middle of filming and couldn’t get away.” Then I heard him tell somebody else, “She’s got a cold and decided to stay put.” Then he changed the subject real fast. I thought it was really odd that the excuse changed. Trouble in paradise? Perhaps she is in the middle of filming AND has a cold? Brad Pitt (Angelina Jolie)

As if this top actor didn’t have enough troubles, those closest to him are now questioning the legitimacy of his marriage to an actress. “They had a civil ceremony in the States, followed by a couple of private wedding parties. What’s strange is that none of us (his friends/family) were invited to the civil ceremony and there are no photos from it. [His wife] also said that she was going to change her last name to his after they married, but she never did. It just doesn’t add up. [A relative] asked him if they were “really” married, and he avoided giving a direct answer, saying, “Well, you were at the wedding, weren’t you?” It’s all a bit mysterious.” We know that no one can find any courthouse records about the marriage (although, depending on the state, some records can be kept private), so it is not altogether surprising that even those closest to to the actor are questioning if he is legally married. That’s interesting but not really surprising. There is no chemistry at all between those two and most of the time she looks bored to tears around him. Maybe it’s a contractual arrangement? I saw a photo of him somewhere flirting with Kate Winslet and he looked more animated than I’ve seen him look in any pix with his wife. Who knows.

Random fact – I went to the same college as Amal Clooney. We must have been there at the same time for two years. There were only about 600 people in the college and we all lived on site but I do not remember her at all nor do any of my friends to my knowledge. Weird!

Are you suggesting she didn’t attend that college?? It seems that would be a fairly easy thing to verify. I suppose with 600 people there are bound to be quite a few that you wouldn’t know. Maybe she was a quiet studious type who didn’t socialize to a great degree.

No – I’m sure she did as I’ve seen her matriculation photo. Colleges are so small though that it is odd that I wasn’t aware of her for two whole years of my course. We all lived, studied and socialised within the (very small) college so it is very claustrophobic and everyone knows everyone. Out of those 600 people about 150 would be post-grads and they lived in their own section of the college so we didn’t really mingle with them. So there’s only about 150 people in each year and about 5-10 per subject. We didn’t study the same thing so we wouldn’t have mingled at faculty events or whatever but the lawyers in my year would have done. It’s just weird that no-one knew her in some way and had some link to her….

I posted that version because it’s a bit more obvious,
but ultimately in all the versions of this ad the women
is a bit mean towards the man or should I say oblivious
to his efforts to make her happy

With Angelina’s recent emaciated appearance at the premier
of Kung Fu Panda all I could think was she looked bad on purpose.
She wants our pity, “Brad doesn’t love me anymore” …”therefore
my makeup and hair couldn’t look any better”. “I couldn’t muster
the energy to be styled properly”

Being so self involved she can’t see how transparent
    her manipulative behaviour is.

She might be mentally ill but she has plenty of energy to
    guilt trip Brad

Have to say that I was shocked when I saw the photos of AJ at the KFP 3 premier. I’ve seen her “photoshopped” skinny before, but holy cow! I couldn’t believe how awful she looks. In pics of her with her kids, her toothpick legs are thinner than any of the children’s. Honestly. How in the world does anyone NOT see a health issue with this woman? I’ve seen way too many eating disorders and friends and relatives with cancer to NOT notice it! She looks like hell not even warmed over. I have no idea what she is doing or what is going on in her life, but her body cannot hold up forever in its current state.@LG:

    @becca becks:
Remember, about 3 years, or so, ago, people were raving about Tom Cruise’s youthful looks as he approached 50. Not a few speculated that his surgeon did an outstanding job. One major clue, according to the experts, is when the shape of the nose is now different. And many already knew about the hair plugs. I believe it was approximately 15 years ago, that Hollywood hairdressers revealed that Cruise was wearing hair plugs. Then, some time later, a photo revealed this, when he had to get wet for a scene. That photo quickly disappeared. (Scientology has long tentacles!)

All this is leading to Pitt’s co-starring with TC, in “Interview with a Vampire”. I suspected back then, that Cruise was trying hard to recruit Pitt into Scientology. Pitt was at his loveliest, then. Soon after, he started his “dirty” period. We remember that it was revealed AJ was monitoring this site, and others, to know what to do about his image. Master manipulators. The tabs took over; and the media, as well. The New York Times did a story about how AJ “owned” the media. Subsequent events solidified that theory. The awards for humanitarianism; the special tribute from the Queen; the continuing awe from the media. But no awards other than the Jean Hersholt Award.
So Pitt turned to producing. He searched for award-baiting material, and continues to do so.

Do they still need each other? My take is, if she thought she was in the driver’s seat, re: their relationship. She was in denial; either that, or she chose to not notice his treatment of men and women he lived with. Sometimes, the manipulator takes on another manipulator; only this time, she took on more than she could handle.

Anyway, I feel that he consulted with TC about the great job from TC’s surgeon.
Too bad Ben Affleck didn’t do the same. At his age, he’s now the owner of a surprised look. At his age, mind you!

TC certainly has had top notch “jobs” done. He still looks like TC. It’s also pretty obvious that BP has gone the same route. Looks so much “younger” than he did a year ago. Still looks like BP, though, so I’d say both men have seen the BEST there is. I truly pity Hollywood people. I couldn’t imagine hating my face and body for aging. We can upkeep our bodies … that is something we have a bit of control over. But our face? Oh dear. I am reveling in the freedom those laugh lines have given me. :) Not that it matters, but of the 3 men, I find Ben the most attractive. He’s a schmuck (but aren’t all 3???) but I find his look more genuinely masculine.

As far as AJ and BP’s relationship or whatever the heck it is they have, I still haven’t recovered from those photos of her at the KFP 3 premier! YUCK. LOL. @WR:

There’s a recent photo of Ben, and he doesn’t look so masculine, anymore. But, time may take care of that as the skin loosens.

I was just mentioning Brangelina to one of my white, female acquaintances. She agreed that they are a strange couple. (I had mentioned that my female barber, who happens to be Mexican, made that comment about them.)

It was mentioned at a couple sites, that Pitt had the work done, for the purpose of campaigning for “The Big Short” to win Best Picture. Now, if the subject of “Spotlight” makes the voters uncomfortable, they might give a compromise award to the former. We’re sure that the voters are too rigid to even go see, “Mad Max: Fury Road”. This movie has won some very prestigious big city critics’ awards as Best Film of the year.

The subject of ‘beards” is very prominent on many sites, and blinds. Apparently, TC is on the hunt for a new “beard”. It’s intriguing to some of us; but it’s show biz. A bit of a bore to many, I’m afraid; but a curious part of the business to many of us.

She is fairly new to acting. He is one of the most famous actors in the world. She has that foreign look and mystique that we have seen in several women he has dated. She has a great body. She is at least twenty years younger than him. She is willing to do whatever it takes to be famous. She’s perfect. That’s why he hand-picked her as his film costar… and more! The papers have already been drawn up. Not signed yet, but they do have an agreement in principle. We’re not talking about the film contract. That’s done. We’re talking about the other contract. Mum’s the word on how far they are going to take their “relationship”, but look for the dating rumors to begin during production and for the relationship to accelerate towards the film’s release. Just know that every tease, rumor, eyewitness report, and photograph will be carefully timed and choreographed to maximize the plausibility of the relationship.

For those of you who don’t know TC’s early career history, He was said to be pretty flamboyant. He had had interviews with gay rags, and had photos taken. Reportedly, after he co-starred with Sean Penn, the latter gave him a stern lecture. Told him that if he wanted a long career in the business, he had to stop the gay activities. So TC took it to heart. He was even said to make fun of any gay-acting people on his movie sets. Apparently, after he was introduced to Scientology. The cult got rid of the gay evidence and destroyed the copies. However, those buyers who saved them now have collectors items. Subsequently, any photos disappeared from the internet. And now, it’s more common for big celebrities to have unflattering pictures erased from the web sites.

TC, was once a member of a Catholic monastery. When he decided to quit in favor of acting, his mentor warned him of the dangers of show business.
How far away did he get from his Catholic teachings? Reportedly, he started out as a gay hustler.

This will give some insight into his build up. He then became one of the all-time box office champs. And he is still a superstar, especially in Asia. He still arouses interest with his superstar qualities, even though most Americans who know show business, feels he is not into women.
And so, heeding Penn’s warning was the best career move he could make!

I have always liked TC as an actor. I have never seen him turn in a bad acting job. A lot of people will say he is always the same character, but I don’t believe that is necessarily true. Yes, he often takes similar roles. But not always. I believe he can do a lot more than he typically does. He has really good comedic timing, and I would love to see him in more comedy films. He obviously is a very shrewd man. Personally, I couldn’t care less about his personal life. I don’t know him and I never will. His choices impact my life zero percent. It also doesn’t matter what I believe, either! Just because I believe no one should care about anyone else’s sexual preferences does not make it so. Maybe SOMEDAY but that day is not today. There are still way too many people who make snap judgments. Admittedly, I am guilty of snap judgments, myself. I just don’t care about what people do in their bedrooms.@WR:

I don’t think people care all that much, anymore. But, here’s the thing: These stars are selling us something. When a customer buys something, the customer has the right to know what they’re buying. So they make up their minds after examining the goods. This will include reading about the star’s private, and public behavior, or orientation. People are just curious, and they will not like them any less for reading about them if they are admirers.

I don’t think anyone is being “holier than thou” because they don’t give a care about TC’s private life. His fans are somewhat similar to the fans of John Travolta, in that they continue to see their films. And he, with the help of his cult, has certainly got what he wants from moviegoers.

Some fans know all about The National Enquirer’s periodic “exposes” of JT’s weakness for massages from males; his visits to bathhouses; and they castigate him for it. Others don’t give a bother. Both stars want us to spend our hard-earned money for their films. But, TC has sued several men and women who exposed him. This was after TC reportedly made fun of gays, and used several actresses to sell himself as heterosexual. These actresses were apparently damaged by the experience.

When TC sued, the defendants were too poor to afford high-priced attorneys, even though they had proof, according to them; while TC and Scientology have deep pockets. JT just lets it go. And he’s still popular, but has gained more respect, for his refusal to sue.

Btw, the fans I know who were outraged about JT’s bathhouse behavior, happen to be Sicilian males. But they give TC a pass. And Brangelina is passé with them.

I don’t go to see their films. I admire TC, and JT for their accomplishments; nevertheless. I just don’t want to spend monies for Scientology.

Ian, it’s over 2 months since this thread.

Did you see BP on an entertainment news show? He’s had a lot of work done. But, he couldn’t resist showing his skinny legs. GC was commenting on his looks. BP did look younger than he has for some time. Should we do the math, and conclude the answer is because of his time away from AJ? Not to worry; The National Enquirer has its usual Brangelina story this past week. The usual: AJ is down to under 90 lbs. That is bad! But how could she be directing a movie over in the East, and still function normally? The usual BP is sweating bullets over her health, accompanies the story.
Tomorrow, a new tabloid. No doubt at least one will have a story about Ted Cruz.
The one who came in right behind Trump in Iowa, Marco Rubio, may not be in it much longer.
And much is being made of the virtual tie between Hillary Clinton and B. Carson.

I suppose Ian is waiting for someone to have a go at the
riddle. I have been pondering it at my leisure…..

In an earlier post I stated that I thought the last handful
of phrases referred to situations that we think are uncommon
but are actually common and Togi referred to them as “not common
    knowledge”.

Then I suggested that essentially you can create an online
personality and image from the articles you post.

Then I said that at least one phrase in his riddles makes sense.
In this riddle it is the phrase “could have had it all”

I posted a link to the version of the “Spumante Bambino” video
which I feel represented the way Angelina treats Brad. In it the
woman tosses the man aside after he gives her what she wanted.
    She has high expectations.

From there I have been studying the phrases randomly.

“Got to have a fiddle in the band” could be referring to
Brad yearning for his mid western upbringing. The lyrics
refer to a lead guitar being hot but a southern person
isn’t happy unless there’s a fiddle in the band.

The phrase I find the most interesting is “Teapots and Twine”.
A delightful blog from a young British mother who has given
up a full-time career to be a full-time mum. She likes to plan
her life and obviously likes documenting it…..books she wants
to read, things she wants to do, places she’s travelled to with
her husband. In a sense she reveals her spiritual evolution creating
    a cosy family life.

But things can not always go to plan and in an endearing way this picture
perfect young British mum reveals her low moments.

“Saving Diamonds Boom Beach”, An online currency for an online game.
“Wandering The Dark Witched”. An online game. Could mean our famous
couple living in an online world, a make believe world.

For a while brangelina had it all, or so it appeared. They were the darlings of Hollywood with their looks and glamour and their brood of children. Maybe angie even had the family she never had growing up. But slowly it all starting to unravel for them in terms of popularity anyway. No one stays on top forever, people age and new, younger people come along to replace them. Whatever their relationship really is, it doesn’t appear to have made them better, quite the opposite in fact. She looks dead inside, whatever spunk she had when she was younger is no longer there. Whether it’s drugs, physical or mental illness or being in a toxic relationship is anyone’s guess, maybe a combination of all three. He has turned into an insufferable bore and whatever charm and appeal he had is also gone. I don’t really get Ian’s clues especially the gaming references and not sure why the story needs to be told in riddles anymore. But we can see what they’ve become, the tabloids are no longer kissing up to them and I think the utter and complete failure of their reunion movie threw them both for a loop. Brad’s managed to survive it but I don’t think she fared as well. It’s been an ongoing series of humiliations for her, with the leaked Sony emails and the ridicule from her latest movie. The rumor now is that she was dropped as director from the Netflix Cambodia movie. It will be interesting to see if that’s true.

As for brad, there’s a small part of me that maybe believes in the black magick spell theory but for the most part I think he’s where he wants to be. There are six children involved and I really don’t think he’d leave them alone with a crazy woman. I do think he is “whipped” both physically and mentally and maybe he likes that. I don’t like him because I think he’s a jealous, petty little biatch who engages in underhanded smear campaigns against his perceived rivals. He did it to his ex-wife, Clooney and now his (and her) minions have started on Theroux. These two deserve each other.

In the latest tabloid feature of the death of Natalie Wood, actor, Christopher Walken is presented as an innocent bystander. He wasn’t, and there’s enough material about the event to make him anything but an innocent party.
First, the yacht captain, Dennis Davern heard very, very loud noises coming from below. He heard loud banging against the wall. How did Christopher Walken just go to sleep with all that? And when they found her body, it was marked black and blue so that it reminded her rescuers of someone who had been in a boxing ring.

There are at least 2 books reporting about the troubled marriage of Natalie and Robert. One says that Natalie caught Robert W. in bed with another man during their first marriage, which prompted Natalie to divorce him. Fast forward in time to their re-marriage. According to the book, Natalie made RW promise to never be with another man like in their first marriage. RW solemnly promised. Now, many have speculated that NW again caught RW in bed with a man. His initials are CW. The official reason given for the fight, was RW’s jealousy. But CW had had a history of gay activity.

There was an actor who played the gay cowboy birthday present, in “The Boys in the Band”. His name was Robert LaTourneaux. He started out in real life, as a gay hustler. He died
of Aids. Before his death, he revealed that CW was one of his regular customers.

What brought about this interest in the latest article, is that one of my neighbors revealed to me that she once had a minister who counseled the troubled young CW. She said the minister was gay, and she could tell CW was as well.

Most of the experts predict the winners will be:
Picture: “The Revenant”. The two which are also frontrunners, are: “Spotlight” and “The Big Short”.
    Director: Alejandro G. Inarritu (sp?)
    Actor: Leo
    Actress: Brie Larsen
    S/Actor: Sylvester Stallone.
S/Actress: Kate Winslett. (My own hunch, is Alicia Vikander)

This next message should only be read if you can stomach hard news reports:
One of my neighbors/acquaintances is a hard-core proponent of the end days. He’s done much research, and a couple of years ago, he started to warn we, liberals (at the time) about Obama. He’s also a firm believer that 9/11 was a set-up by the Bush administration.
So I started to go to YouTube and check for myself. So much made sense, about the 9/11 “truth-telling”. Had to read a lot of info.
F/F to late news videos. Strange sounds are being heard all over the world, emanating from the sky. All kinds of birds, animals, fish, and other wildlife are found on shores and on land. All dead. Millions! Earthquakes are more frequent that ever, and in places inland.
Seers who are religious people are telling of visions of heavenly beings who are telling them what’s in the near future. One that is repeated by different people, is that Obama won’t have a successor. (This brings several scenarios into focus) Obama, based on his disregard for our Constitution will decide to use martial law, and therefore no elections will be in effect. Now, this is precisely what my neighbor has been telling us about these last couple of years.
Other sources say that the current pope may be the last one.
Another esteemed European seer, who was blinded in her youth, had prophesied before her death, in 1999, that there would be no more Europe by the end of 2016.
There’s a lot more, of course. I personally would counsel against reading it too extensively. My neighbor is exhausted, and so am I. We decided to just keep our counsel, and being careful to make our peace with The Almighty!

If you decided to read all this, may I say that this is nothing new. We just hoped that it would happen in the distant future, when we have left this “vale of tears”, as he put it.

    @Guest2:
I think Lena G is a hardworking professional assistant. She can fix
things. She looks organised and loyal.

I agree with everything you say about Brad.

One cannot escape the Oscar blitzkrieg, in Southern California. The Los Angeles Times has been harping on “Oscar So White” from the onset of awards season. Others have joined it, even the trade papers, VARIETY, and THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.

My neighbor is a member of SAG. She’s disgusted by “Oscar So White”.

Also, the papers have been promoting Brad’s pic, “The Big Short”, so that one pundit predicts that it will triumph over “The Revenant”. There’s more: There have been a lot of negative comments about “The Revenant” during the voting season. One could link that to the paid posters similar to when AJ lured BP away from JA. That would be a phenomenon of recent times: The paid posting. It goes on in every Oscar campaign, btw.

Our local critic is “hard-nosed”. He gave a very low rating to “The Big Short”. But his newspaper is not widely circulated in Oscar-voting country, compared to the nay sayers for “The Revenant”.

They’re going to be a “group viewing” event. The SAG member asked if I’d be there. I said, no.

    @Guest2:

No such person as Lena G. This has to come from idiotic reporting. The person you think is “Lena” is a foreign policy expert who co founded the Womens’ Centre at the London School of Economcis with Jolie and Baroness Helic. You can find her name for yourselves.
