It would serve her right if he spilled the details. She’s not going to just sit there & take it, either…she’ll try to make him look as bad as possible in this. Heck, that started immediately after the wedding with all of the Kardashian planted articles bashing him before the ink had even signed on their marriage license. I just hope those who actually thought Kim was sincere in all of this finally realize they’ve been played. They are brilliant at marketing themselves, but the wedding went way too far.

It was reported the “Dash” family earned $65 million last year. Press manipulation, ALL the high profile, tab driven celebs do it (golden award holders or not) and people buy into it and believe this shite. Or else they enjoy watching the designer clothed train-wrecks. Sadly it’s the world we live in. We’re being played all the time.

I can not stand the Kardashian family. I am hugely disappointed in Bruce Jenner the once great Olympian who has allowed himself to be dragged into the cesspool of Kardashia. Kris Jenner is the ultimate Dina Lohan with her daughters learning at her knee and following in her footsteps. Because one does not attack the mentally ill, I will not direct any comments to karmabitchloon. If anyone cheated it is courtney cox who was having an affair with her co-star, brian van holt, while still married to david arquette. He was recently photographed with courtney and her daughter at LAX after vacationing together. If anything has come between courtney and jen it is this, in my opinion.
And I would hardly classify either courtney or david as A-list, far from it. Courtney hasn’t been anywhere near as successful as jen in her career. I liked courtney when she was on friends but I haven’t liked anything she’s done since. The last time I tried watching cougar town (lame, boring show, imo) only her lips moved, the rest of her face was frozen. Jen has been working non-stop making movies since her divorce. Some were failures and some were successes, like most actors in HW. Somebody must have wanted her or she wouldn’t have worked so much. Damn, jen’s brother wouldn’t even come and have a makeout session with her at any of her events. I don’t see people knocking down angie’s door begging her to star in their movies. She lucked out when she trapped brad with a bunch of kids so she could use him and his HW contacts to give her respectability and to finance her terrible movie. That is slowly falling apart now that they look like jed and granny clampett.
One final word on courtney. I’m not judging her as I don’t know what went on in her marriage but at least she has not done anything to publicly humiliate her husband (unlike others I won’t name). I do think jen was a good friend to her helping her by making appearances on her new shows. I wonder if she’s been as good a friend to jen.

Actually you might be mistaken regarding your views of Freemasonry. The Skull and Bones tomb built in 1832 at Yale was an offshoot of two different debating societies. If we instantly judge some stranger, it’s because we see something in that person we don’t like about ourselves. We fear a complete stranger, so we have to downgrade that human being to our own level. Makes sense?
Example: A young man is walking down a street, say. Here comes a group of other young men. As they pass, one utters to his friends, a derogatory term concerning the lone person. His peers snigger. What is happening is the person uttering the negative statement has recognized something in that lone person that he feel uncomfortable about because he knows or suspects that he, himself, is similar to the stranger. So he makes a reveal.
The challenge is to not take the bait. And if we do, it’s because it takes a lot of training, and prayer, to be aware of the other’s personal situation. And to feel compassion for them. I don’t know of anyone who is that finished with their self-improvement. I believe those who are, are called saints.

When a person reads about population growth what you will find is that most of the western democracies are either at zero population growth, or are at a negative population growth, or are very close to that. As I have previously stated, The University of Washington, has been able to develop some new very advanced information regarding the AIDS virus. They utilized a computer simulated gaming scenario to accomplish this. Computer simulations were able to achieve what many micro biology labs were unable to achieve utilizing standard laboratory technique and scientific method. Hooray for computer simulations. No need to force people to surrender their rights not to be used for the human testing of vaccines. I am so happy. Although I am a straight man, I personally think this is so great it isn’t even funny. I have some very major personal reasons for this. It also knocks the living crap out of some research programs that have routinely violated certain peoples civil rights by using human testing. Computer simulations just took the wind out of the sails of some specific people. All of the Ho Lie Wood peckers should be happy about this, especially because of their respective faggotry. He’s a doctor and had no business administering that type of drug outside of a hospital setting and then leaving the patient for even a minute while he was giving it to him. Say whatever you will about Michael but the doctor had a responsibility to help his patient, not kill him. All he cared about was the money. He should never be allowed to practice medicine again. He’s a disgrace to the medical profession and the many fine people who make it their life’s work to help and cure people.

Maybe you should have someone who understands these things explain it to you. Same for you, Guest 1. The foundation spent over $7 million in construction costs according to the last return. It also spent $4.5 million on other costs for the housing project. That doesn’t sound like everything is donated to me. They may have had $40 million at end of year but they also had $25 million in liabilities. Did you even read those tax returns?
The houses for the most part actually cost more than $150,000 to build but the homeowners aren’t being charged for the actual cost. Houses like they are building are expensive. They are not cheap replacements. They were never meant to be cheap replacements. That was never the goal of the project. That’s for some other organization to do. Some of the former residents had cheap replacements already like the toxic trailers from FEMA.
In any event the project is more than just buildng homes. It involves housing development, technological innovation and homeowner education as well as community building. Many, many people with the requisite knowledge of housing, finance, technology, environment and tax law have looked carefully at the MIR project and no one has found it to be as some of you try to depict it. Not to mention the IRS.
Nobody is required to like Brad Pitt but distorting something like this without a basis is uncalled for. If you have a problem with it then report it to the IRS.
As for Dr. Murray, I’d be surprised if he goes to jail. Not sure I think he should go or not but I’d hate to see a judge yield to public pressure in such a case. I don’t think he has any criminal record until now but this involved a daeth. Probation is certainly a possible sentence. Perhaps when he gets his license back – and he most likely will some day – he can do something to make up for his neglect. Maybe administer flu shots.

ReplyNot a lot of time to check out the tax return but I did see about $12 mil of construction, architectural and other costs associated with the construction. Also, inventory at the beginning of the year was $750+MM and at year end it was $5+MM. Assume they built some homes in the 2009 year but not sure how many since it doesn’t show on the return. I’m not an accountant and they are complicated returns so I’ll leave this to better minds to figure out. There must be an annual report that you can access, maybe on their website. bbl.

Hurricane Katrina happened in August of 2005. According to the MIR site, a whole whopping 14 families are now living in those awful looking FEMA trailers on stilts. The homes are as ugly as the furniture that Pitt likes to purchase. Perhaps they wouldn’t look so bad in a modern area, but they do not look like they belong in New Orleans. The homes should have been designed as to reflect and blend in with the New Orleans culture, not some modern prefab trailer design.

Ahhh. The Rum Diary. Thanks for your comment on it. I like Depp but I have a very uncomfortable feeling about his relationship with Thompson. Thompson got a mention in The Franklin Coverup when they were describing the snuff stuff regarding minor boys. Gross, huh? The guy who wrote that book is a Vietnam Vet and an attorney who opened that vile stuff up in the book and he rep’d some of the victims I think. I find him credible and he’s but his rep and his life on the line for helping with this case.

Replyright on with all that criticism of ‘the rum diary’. i was looking forward to it as i loved thompson’s writing, but depp failed with this. i agree, giovanni ribisi was good. something is really up with depp. he is not up to snuff and has made a fool of himself out of control drunk on video twice now that i know of, worse the second time. this second time he didn’t have Jerry with him and things fell apart all over the sidewalk. there is a weird pic of him at celebitchy, he looks foppish and is wearing chipped blue nail polish. the pics recently of him and vanessa on the yacht where she is all over him looked staged by someone. maybe vanessa, to beat back the rumors of his flings. from the pix, he doesn’t seem so into her as she is into him. he is saying all kinds of things that are ticking people off, something is amiss for him to not stop flapping his mouth.

I have heard stories of women who were being driven crazy by their recently retired husbands who had decided to rearrange their kitchen cupboards and other parts of the house that the wives had controlled for the entire marriage. Jen has been on her own for awhile and is probably set in her ways.

The grooms parents are pretty shaken up………So there sits the Marquis Ballroom, all decorated beautifully for the Cinderella Themed wedding……….and NO one is there………….My hubby and I just figured why waste the evening and went to a nice dinner…and just got home…..

My heart breaks for you. The families will never ever be the same. Normal people never get over these type of betrayals. For the groom, what would be next? Stealing his job, his bank account, his car, clothes, his reputation, talking behind his back, making up fictional crap to always publically embarass him? I mean literally, what should he expect next? Being shot at, some fake rape or stalking allegation that never occurs? Normal people never get beyond these type of betrayals. The truth be told, If I was him, I would start packing a piece, weapons all the way, just in case. I feel really bad for him. If his parents are righteous, they should tell the other son and his cunt to never show their faces around even once.
If the kid that was the groom has enough mental toughness in him, I would move far far away, re establish himself. Make sure there are hundreds and hundreds of miles between himself, and them. That way when the cunt starts her shit up again, and she most certainly will, he won’t be in the area. I would also tell him to keep a journal, always work where their are cameras, go to the bank once a day. If this bitch did this to him, no telling what she will do next. If you are concerned for this kid at all, you should go talk to him and tell him so, that way he can prepare himself, and make sure his butt is legally covered. Split, and don’t look back ever. Maybe once in a great while drop a card in the mail to let his parents know he is still alive. You see Whatever, I will always be glad I grew up in the Marine Corps. An appeal ! It´s fun to hear that you like “Downtown Abbey”. My husband thinks I´m the only one. In Sweden we have only seen season one. Season two started last saturday so episode two will be shown at TV this evening.
If you will discuss this very nice TV serie will you please do it in “the grotto” ? I have tried to just move my eyes to next comment to avoid reading about the coming story but it´s hard to not catch some words.
Besides that it doesn´t seem to happen anything. But I would love Ian to tell us what is going on with Brad. He seems to feel worse for everytime we see a photo of him. It seems like he has lost control completly. It can´t be Brad who takes Zoloft. But maybe to many painkillers, the Tramadol ones. I also want to know if Pax has got his own gym. He seems to have muscles ! .Maybe he gets growe hormones to grow faster if he is to small for his age. That could explain his bad temper.I feel sad about him. And I don´t think he is old enough to go to Vietnam and visit the orphanage he stayed at his three firs years. I´m sure he has some happy memories from then. Maybe he wants to stay. He cried when he had to leave last time.
ReplyTetta, I also love Downton Abbey. I watched season 1 on TV last winter. Season 2 doesn’t come to US TV until January. I don’t want to watch it online so I’ll wait until January. I am ordering season 1 on dvd so I can watch it again before season 2 starts. I also try to skip over siska’s and SRW’s posts when it looks like they are talking about season 2 but I’m happy to see others love the series as much as I do so I can understand why they love to talk about it.
I’ll second your request to Ian to tell us something about brad. It was very disturbing to watch that video of him. It didn’t look or even sound like the brad we’ve seen all these years. Something is very strange. He looks either ill or on some kind of bad drug. I noticed the muscles on Pax too. The boy always looks angry when he is around brad. It’s really strange.

I don’t have a political persuasion. I haven’t believed that there really are 2 parties in this country for some time. I so thoroughly believe this that I am not going to waste my gas to go the polls. I tried to tell my bestest friend this and she said: “oh I am going to exercise my right to vote”. Sigh. Me thinks she missed my point – that is – New World Order.
What has me all jacked up about all of these people is the recent revelation about Penn State. We’ll see, I pray, how deep the rabbit hole is in these types of sick shiz. Betcha Jon Benet Ramsey case, Franklin Coverup case and Penn State are all tied together and I know how far the Franklin case goes. It’s in the DeCamp’s book – get it and read it if you can (to those who have not read it). I pray that God blows the lid off of these evil beings. I believe He’s doing it.

A friend in Canada was turning 18. She’s really a sweet kid. I asked her what she wanted for her birthday. She said if she could have anything in the world she would ask for a box of fruity pebbles. LOL I thought wow if that’s the thing you want most in the world you should have it.
So I bought her a box of cereal and boxed it up to mail to her. Got to the post office and OMG had to fill out forms for an international package, lol had no idea.
Then they asked me if the package was perishable, thought about it a min and said no. Cereal is not perishable right?
then she asked me what was in the box, lol the whole time shes shaking my suspicious package and its sounding like a box of cereal. I told her it was a puzzle, there was one on the back of the box.
so package got held up at the border for 2 months, but my friend finally got her cereal.
I have always imagined the dogs being taken by to sniff that package and trying to figure out how to get the handler to open the box. YUMYUMYUM not drugs, not bomb, what is the code for good to eat human?
My sole foray into smuggling and I was very bad at it.

My adopted father was a US Naval Nuclear Submariner for nearly 30 years. I spent alot of my youth with the Navy, and when I was old enough I joined the Corps, where I basically grew up. If you remember the movie Full Metal Jacket, the beginning of the movie there is a Drill Instructor. That is retired SGT. Major Arley Burr, I served with him. Hell in the movie, I thought he was being nice to everyone. You should have seen him on a bad day and you would understand.

President Eisenhower was very close friends with my grandmother. I used to literally sit in his lap all the time. I would pull on his ears, nose, and cheeks, hug him and kiss him, and fell asleep in his arms many times. He was always very kind to me as a baby boy. I didn’t know what a president was, I was just a little tiny kid. I was the youngest first born male grandchild. Or, I am, or I was then, I am getting old now. There is way way way more than this. My grand mothers first degree was from a conversatory of music. Specifically, the Mount Saint Scholastic conservatory of music. It was part of the sisterhood of the Benedictine Order of Benedictine University in Atchison. A Catholic University. It doesn’t exist any longer as the sisterhood became fully part of the University a very long time ago.

I really don’t use the post office unless I have to. I send packages thru FedX. It costs a few pennies more but less hassle and quicker. I use ground delivery – costs less and it’s pretty quick. I work in the legal field and I see so much stuff come back to us from the post office. It’s amazing and it’s sooo annoying. I understand they use those robots or something to sort the mail – so says my friend who works there.

ReplyIn a single word, YES!!!!, My mother was a nut, yet I can’t help but wonder what really happened. Since I grew up in Silicon Valley, heart of the Chip and Computer industry, I had this one older friend. He was a really great guy, a real Dad, great father and husband. One day, after his wife had passed away, I had been dumped by the woman I was living with, we were doing the BBQ deal. My bud was an old Marine, Korean Era, Frozen Chosin, the whole deal. We were talking about how and why we each entered the Marine Corps. I will never forget that day. He told me, as a child growing up on a farm, one of his parents siblings, an uncle, would repeatedly rape him. I sat there stunned, I just didn’t know how to respond. He then proceeded to tell me he had entered the Corps to not only serve and fight for his country, but to escape his rapist, and learn how to fight well enough to never be a VICTIM again, as long as he lived.
I remember reading many years ago in the newspaper about NAMBLA lobbying Congress to legalize sex with consenting minors. At the time their headquarters was in Bellows Falls, VT and everytime I drove by that town I wanted to drop in on them and tell them how despicable they were. The article was an interview with a Nambla member and I couldn’t believe what I was reading . I thought it was strange that the writer wasn’t expressing horror at what they were being told. I’ve never really been a believer in conspiracy theories. But the more I see of this pedophilia epidemic and the events at Penn State I am becoming convinced there is a very powerful network of these perverts in all segments of our society in positions of power. What other explanation could there be for the blatant sexualization of children in the media and no one seems to be overly concerned about it. How do you stop it?

I got an e-mail tonight from a cousin warning about e-mails or whatever concerning facebook, asking to be a ‘friend’. Apparently, according to my cousins warning , if opened, it is a worm for which snopes has confirmed no ‘fix’ is available. Both families are in crisis mode. The Groom that was suppose to get married, is threatening to kill his own brother and ex fiance. He went on a drunk the whole weekend and destroyed HIS house, that he had owned and that both of them were going to live in after the honeymoon. He was arrested on drunk and disorderly charges on Sunday.
The mother of the Bride, is beside herself, she is both angry at her daughter and humiliated, but is worried about what will happen when the “newlyweds” return. This gal is going to have a lot of explaining to do, to a lot of people…especially what she done to her ex fiance.
The grooms parents are trying to support their son’s feeling of betrayal, with the concern for their other son, when he returns with his “bride” on Thursday.
It’s just a hellish time for everyone.

It would appear that way , but those around him claim he does not care all that much. (what he tells them and projects to his friends and family, not necessarily what he really feels) I translate that as , “he knows he can’t” so why bother trying. His “I don’t give a chyt” attitude seems to reflect bigger problems going on for him, and winning an award is probably not very high on his list at the moment. It would be hugely embarrassing to win via a sympathy vote this year against the tremendous talent he is up against. I wonder if he could look the others in the eye and wish them well if he did win, knowing he did not deserve it. Possibly, he comes off as feeling he is entitled to it, “Give me MY Oscar so I can quit acting and produce” kind of attitude, He needs a publicist. A good one. HB perhaps. lol That would be too strong of a statement though, wouldn’t it?
To give him the benefit of doubt thought, and not be unkind to someone when they are down, because he does appear to be in desperate need of a mental health professional, he may really not care at all, and what he is dealing with may triumph a silly little gold statue. If so, I hope someone does intervene and give this family the stability that is needed. He does not look like the strong General Manager that BB was to me. I wonder if he understands that. Most likely he does, and that is what accounts for him spouting off things that come back and smack him in the face. Shut up Brad.

Kate, I disagree, Brad Pitt has been trying to chase that Oscar for years now. It shows in the roles that he is picking. Will the academy award him this year? Who knows…but like you said, he is up against tremendous talent, like he has in the past, and that is exactly why he’s never won. I personally think the Academy gave him that nod, for Benjamin Button, for the simple fact they wanted the Brand there, to pump up ratings. They got Aniston and Pitt in the same auditorium…what a ratings “get”, huh? That is basically what that was all about.
I am under the belief that Brad suffers from clinical depression. He uses drugs and alcohol to self medicate himself to get through his days and his life. He is not happy. He has never been happy. He has tried to find happiness. He hasn’t changed, only his circumstances have. He’s still that bored, pot smoking, couch potato he was back in the 90’s. He thought filling his life with a bunch of children, was going to fill that void within himself. That is really just selfish pressure to put on innocent children, to make them fill a void.. No one else can make you happy or satisfied, unless it first comes within yourself.. Also, I believe the stress of the constant traveling (even when they aren’t filming a movie), constant intrusion by that entourage of 25, being around all the time, is getting to him. In these interviews he is really telling the public, I am not happy, not satisfied, and that I made a horrible mistakes in my life…not with my children, of course, but with the choices I’ve made in other aspects…..he may be happy with his choice of Angelina being the mother of his kids, and I believe he was happy with her for the first few years, but now? Not. So. Much. and he hates being part of a “brand”, called Brangelina, where they have to sell that to the masses, to promote their movies…… I think Brad wants his career to stand on it’s own two feet, but he sees he can’t do that, he NEEDS her to sell to the public, this one big happy family…image. He resents that to hell. The interviewer’s always want to ask him questions about his personal family life, instead of being more interested in whatever project he is promoting…and that has gotten to him. He isn’t being seen as a serious ACTOR that he wants to be, but he constantly being reminded of that “tabloid-y” celebrity he has been reduced to. It is shown in his little “sound bites”, he’s been giving to the media in the last few months.

I agree w/this, whatever, he sold out big time. Bradders done cut a deal with the devil and it shows. When I looked at the recent promo pictures I thought, again, that neither of them look happy next to each other, just a business promotion. The Vietnam photos are worse because, imo, they are as much business as they are a family trip. A couple out-of-sync that looks miserable together, it can’t even be faked anymore. And he continues to look awful. I wonder if that’s part of the desperate hand signals to the press. He looks sheepish again to me in the photos, like he’s swallowing a pill he doesn’t want to take. Forced to go through a recycled routine required of him because….why? image, investors, corporations, the guns…? There’s something or someone else pulling the strings here.
I’ve been trying to catch up reading some of these threads. That’s quite a wedding story you’ve shared. Some people are so selfish. I could/would never do what that bride has done. I would walk from both of them before I’d ever involve myself in that betrayal. I hope the families can hold it together.

I really don’t think he cares too much about whether he deserves it or not as long as he wins it. I think he needs that Oscar to prove something, not sure what or to whom. I also agree with Rushdog’s comments. Ever since Ian’s clue about the thing that happened in February, starting with those photos of brad traveling solo and the subsequent happy family parades, all their photo ops looked like they were staged for someone’s benefit and I don’t think it’s necessarily their fans. Maybe the someone who is pulling the strings. Something is definitely up with him, he just isn’t himself or I should say the public brad we’re accumstomed to seeing. I also agree with kate that he needs a mental health professional. This man has been through hell and it shows.

Brad himself spoke about selling to the devil to get his movies made. Just who is that “devil” he was talking about?? Sounds to me like someone (or some group) is pulling the strings. What exactly has Jolie gotten him into? Is that why he can’t leave? He looks like a trapped man, more so than just kids keeping him trapped. There is a REASON why a man ages that fast in such a short time.
The thing is about the “wedding story” I wish it was just a story, however it is real, and it has affected many people…harmed/hurt many people that I care about…
ReplyBrad has turned into his own worst enemy IMO. And, I can’t help but feel sorry for him because he looks like a tortured soul. Up the Coast has said time and again that Brad would do better on his own professionally and personally, and I agree with that.
There was an article where Brad said happiness was overrated and inner peace was something he strives towards. I have noticed over the years that people who feel that way are usually dealing with an untreated mental illness and/or unresolved issues that are haunting them. That is why it is hard for me to hate on him. I know he brought a lot on himself but it is absolute torture watching him “play the game” for whatever reason.

I read at the market the cover of Star magazine (bleh) that they are going to put Kim into “REHAB”. That’s what they call it when their programming starts going haywire. If that headline was true, then they are going to amp her up some more because she’s not “minding” and doing what her slavemasters direct her to do.
That I believe is just what happened to C.Sheen. His programming really went haywire. What we saw was, me thinks, a horrendous case of programming gone wrong – really wrong. They wanted him to go to “rehab” and he was determined not to go to “rehab”. At the time of the media mind control for all of us, I actually wondered why he said he would rehab at home. I believe he knew exactly what kind of rehab was in store for him in a hospital. Charlie started remembering and his brain went crazy. I have read that males are much harder to control (mind) as they cannot stand as much pain as females.
Oh yea, and that song that Amy Winehouse (member of the “27 club”) did about rehab – no, no, no. Well… And I saw an interview of her where she said she would not be a part of the Illumati (the root of all of this programming) and 2 days later she died. Serious shiz.

I think Angelina trapped him in 3 different ways. First was obviously SEX. Second was MADDOX, and 3rd, was the LIE that she wanted to get out of Hollywood, devote her time to her humanitarian causes, and stay at home and raise kids…..yanno, that whole white picket fence type of life that Brad more or less grew up with….the one that Brad wanted Jennifer to conform to, but refused….so he thought he would get ALL that he wanted. A woman that was willing to give up her career, stay put at home, and raise kids, while he the BIG man of the house, went out and made movies, and she would concentrate on her humanitarian jaunts, when he wasn’t working. I think the bloom fell off THAT rose, when he seen her keep signing up for movies, and then adopted Pax, who I think he wasn’t on board with. Then when she dropped Pax off in HIS lap and took off for Chicago…..that is when he started really waking up. He thought she was this independent, strong woman. What he ended up with was an insecure, psycho on his hands, that is so scared that he will find someone else, she can’t let him out of her sight. I don’t believe he signed up for the constant traveling, the entourage of 25 people, the need for her to constantly follow him around the world. He thought she would stay put, while he went out and filmed movies, just like the set up he had with Jennifer. I think he has felt really trapped since around 2009. Now she has him mixed up with other “adventures”…..and yes I believe they are smuggling stuff to other countries, and he has absolutely no choice in the matter, and she got him involved in it. There is no backing out now…..his and his childrens and other family members lives depend on him being a puppet. It may seem far-fetched, but there is NO way, that they can support this type of lifestyle they have, on a few measly million dollars they are getting from making one or two movies a year…..that so far, haven’t put a great deal of bank in their pocketbooks.

If anyone is interested, check out Vincent Bugliosi’s book about how the Supreme Court gave Bush the presidency in the 2000 election. Then, if you are still interested in more, perhaps you could hunt up the ROLLING STONE article by Robert Kennedy, Jr., in which he painstakingly reports about how the state of Ohio’s biggest political representative gave the balance of power to the republican party, just as he promised he would. He promised to deliver Ohio to the republican candidate in 2004. I saved the article somewhere. It may take some fishing to find it. But, it may be online, or at a big city library, as well.
ReplyThe general public wouldn’t bother reading about the above. They’d rather be up to date on “NO TALENTS” like the Kardashians; or Regis Philbin; or all the hangers-on who sue celebrities, etc! So much space given to these people, but almost nothing about how our country invaded an innocent country. Nothing about how Bush declared just before the 2000 election, that “What his country needs is a dictator!”
One would have to go to those sites seldom quoted, to read about Bush’’s grandfather’s dealings with nazis back in the first half of the last century.
Instead, we are seeing Bush and Rice covering up their political tracks with new books that shows them in a false and flattering light.

ReplyThen why not become an activist? They are needed more than ever! We may want all the good things, but they come at a price. The price is to work for freedoms that we cherish. There are sites like CREDO who work for this result. Now, I do not agree with them one hundred percent, but they are pretty much working for what I believe in.
The conservatives have been hard at it for some time, now. They post alll over the internet. It doesn’t even have to be political; they’ll inject anti-Obama comments into the mix. We need posters to counteract this. I have done so from the beginning; not that I am a rabid supporter of Obama. I worked for him the last election because of his anti-war stance. Many of us middle-of-the-roaders did. Now, we feel betrayed. Now the opposition is having their way because of apathy among independent voters.
Sending letters of support to columnists when they print what we feel is spot on, is another thing. Also, sending letters of disapproval/outrage, to others about something offensive is appreciated.
When I personally send such letters, I give reasons why I hold my position.
Money? I don’t have it. The little I have is spoken for. But I can always type!

He definitely needs posters who will counterpoint the hate messages.
Yes, history has repeated itself so much that we become immune to the warnings. It’s the same thing that happened to people in other eras. They just gave up. But there were always the ones whose conscience would not let them surrender. A case in point: Pete Seeger. He was challenged on all sides. He even had to leave his group, TheWeavers, (”Goodnight, Irene”, the #1 bestselling record of 1950) when his conscience was challenged by a member of the group. He was called a communist and more, by the right wing.

ReplyHe lost my vote when he had a beeron tv with the racist cop and won’t stop the feds from raiding people on Medical marjiana because he has kids. I probaly won’t vote unless something good comes out of the workwork but i’m doubting it.
Being a daughter of alcoholic I would rather of had a pot head as a parent.

ReplyBoth parties are different, yet they are the same. They both do not measure up, to some of us independents. Ralph Nader use to be an alternative for some of us. Then came the 2000 election. So critical, that I campaigned for the democrats even tho it lacked so many strong components. Nader played a big part in the loss for the democrats.

by Vincent Bugliosi. The Supreme Court got away with what some feel is treason!
It’s now in paperback. Amazon.com should have it at a bargain price. I have in mind to order some to give away next month.

ReplyI also believe we were betrayed in 2000 and then again in 2004. We need to stand together to create a flood but they just keep throwing hate out there and the masses gobble in up. They always find someone for the public to hate. All I know it you start throwing words out there saying God approves of this but not that then I know that person can’t be trusted. He is supposed to be all loving and I think thats everyone not a select few.

ReplyI also don’t think he started the housing foreclosure. People around here started losing their homes in 2006, I lost mine in 2008 before he came to office. I was cheated by Citifinancal and AIG. He may have finished the job though.

Should enough people absolutely believe that “One person can make a difference”, it would wear down the corporations. It may take some time because they are so used to being in power. It’s a “mind set” with them; there’s them, and there’s the rest of us. And we are plebeians, to them.
ReplySo I don’t worry about “the other guy”. “He” is a waste of time and energy. As long as I have that, I can spend it on worthwhile campaigns. Course I still have to have my entertainment fix; you understand, I hope! And even that fix is waning.
I don’t know about what God’s input is in all this. There is His actions in the bible. And he did destroy Sodom and Gomorrah! And some wise, religious people I’ve heard say that the world does have to repent; the sooner the better. So I sort of think that is the answer to it all.
Anyway, it’s way off topic, even tho good to discuss. Maybe we”re the only ones who are here. This thread has worn out, it seems.

ReplyI am sorry about your loss. What is now happening with the housing market seems to be an “eyebrow-raiser”. It seems to me there is some flip-flopping going on. Formerly, poor people couldn’t afford to buy a new home. Now I see that they are purchasing new dwellings, while the former middle class is left out. But that’s not my area of expertise. I do talk about it with a younger friend, (transplanted from back east), and even he is confused.
