Good Heaven NO~! Haven’t these studios learned yet? With Angie as the star of the film regardless of who co-stars with her, this is another guaranteed “ho hum” film. Marilyn deserves better! Angie has proven during SALT that her action (Lara Croft) days are well behind her now, and with her scrawny shapeless figure she’s laughable as a sex siren/lead. Second banana or charactor figure is all she’s got left in her these days. Even Clooney can’t save this one.

ReplyShe’s just trying to plug the gap image-wise until she can get another film signed. Until then it will be fantasy film roles a-go-go to make her seem in demand. I honestly think she is box office poison nowadays and can’t carry a film either in a serious role or in a dumb action flick. Supporting roles are out as she simply cannot play second fiddle to anyone else and has to wrestle attention away from the film and on to herself. Plus nobody in HW likes her any more and she has run out of new people to f*ck on the casting couch. It’s all looking a bit tumble weed blowing through a castle in the air when it comes to acting jobs for Angelina from where I’m standing I’m afraid…. lol

“Angelina Jolie has gotten the gig most actresses in Hollywood would die to get. Jolie will play Marilyn Monroe in the movie version of The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog,” begins another WHOLLY INACCURATE report from the hacks at Hollyscoop.
The site continues to embarrass itself by noting, “Angie will star alongside George Clooney who will play Frank Sinatra. That should be a fun movie set considering the fact that Clooney is BFF’s with Brad Pitt.”
Uh, Mr. Roarke says it’s time to leave “Fantasy Island.”
Not surprisingly, Hollyscoop’s journalistic equal, Perez Hilton, also picked up this tall tale for a post titled, “Angelina Jolie To Play Marilyn Monroe.”
Perez similarly claimed, “The role of Sinatra will be played by another Hollywood heavyweight, George Clooney.”

Suffice to say, the blogs’ stories are 100 PERCENT WRONG.
A rep for Jolie tell Gossip Cop that reports of the Oscar winner playing Monroe are “not true.” And Clooney’s rep called the stories “totally fabricated.”

May I add to that that I think it was VERY telling that none of her co-stars showed up at the London premiere, she was all on her little ownsome wasn’t she? And did you see the calibre of the Brit celebs that showed up? Other than Leona Lewis the biggest name on the night was none other than our very own Kerry Katona, yes – Kerry Katona! Surely this is embarrassing for her now? I mean, she was on bloody T4 the other day for God’s sake, it’s not quite in the realm of the superior, immortal icon leagues she’s been trying to enter since she hitched her skirts to the mast of Brad is it? By the way I also thought it was hilarious when someone asked her why Brad had shaved his beard off: “He’s working” she barked, almost biting their head off! Angelina Jolie probably doesn’t mind being mentioned in the same sentence as Marilyn, even if she is not going to star. Keeps her name in the news.
Reply” The Goddess” or “The most beautiful woman in the world” clearly – is not beautiful enough to play Ms Monroe. Why on earth would she be picked to play Marilyn? No matter how much the media have rammed Jolie down our throats – I for one, have never ever fell for the brain-washing.
The public have obeyed to an extent – and well, they have mistaken odd looking for beautiful. Compared to Marilyn Monroe or to a young Britney Spears or even a young pamela Anderson, Jolie is a million miles away from pretty or gorgeous.
On seeing Jolie do the world tour for “salt” I can’t believe how much her face has melted, she looks fifty.
Watch mr & mrs smith if you don’t believe it- what looks she did have, are now gone.
I’m glad Johnny Depp never got tangled up in her man-eating web and proved to her she’s “not all that”, she obviously thinks she is God’s gift to the earth and all men are weak – like Brad Pitt.
