IUC News: Will Wyclef Make A Good Prez for Haiti?????
How does pop culture qualify someone to run a country? Like Ronald Reagan, musician Wyclef Jean thinks he knows how. Will the former brainchild of The Fugees be able to revive Haiti? (Vanity Fair)

ReplyHe is already corrupt so he had that going for him in terms of becoming a politician but he will not be allowed to win the race. hide and watch.
ReplyFrom someone who has been to Haiti long before the EarthQuake, it is unbelievable how crooked the Haitian government is and how little they do for the people of Haiti. I cannot believe Wyclef Jean would be worse. Did anyone see the Presidential Palace? Have any of you been there to see the absolute poverty these people live in? I’m talking years ago? Has anyone seen pictures of the mountains with every tree cut down and used to sell the wood for just normal living expenses? Unreal….a mountain with NO trees!!! After seeing this, ANYONE is better than the government they have in place. We taught the wonderful people to build ponds and to stock them with fish and to plant trees. This is so simple but oh my, I encourage EVERYONE to visit…to see what exactly they were dealing with BEFORE judging Wyclef Jean. I am not talking about Angelina’s self promoting visit, I am talking about years before….when Haiti really needed help.
ReplyMost of the charity money went to him. The JPs were involved with his charity since it lunch in 2005. A lot of money went into Haiti, why are they still suffering? Just like Make it Right, how many houses did they build? Just read up on him.
ReplyHey all I’m saying is that Haiti was a MESS, long before the EarthQuake irregardless of where monies went. I can tell you with 100% certainty that all monies went to the Haitian President long before Wyclef Jean came along. The circumstances these people had to live in, and this is first hand, were deplorable. While Presidential Palaces were being trimmed in Gold, and the rest of the Country suffered. They are still suffering because the President and Government are crooked, to say the least. No food, no housing, no trees left on mountains! The very essentials we take for granted. Ask the Haitian Government, if you dare. THEY are the ones getting the monies, not the people, not the housing. The majority of all things being built are being built from humanitarian missions, from real people, not the AJ’s of the World and their photo ops….I am talking Christian based missionaries, churches, THOSE are the people building the fishing ponds, building the schools, creating the hot lunches, the bank accounts for the locals who have never had these things before, I could go on and on and on. Yes, it helps to see it with your own eyes, it really does….
ReplySo they need a leader who will not make a profit on them. I wish them luck in there election and hope they get changes for the better.
ReplyThat should be their.
ReplyIt’s a sad, sad Country. I’m not sure any of the leaders will give back to the people, I am just hoping Wyclef Jean is sincere and will make things better and will give back to the people. But we see in our own Country starving children, poverty and worse. While our “leader” goes on about “change’….not sure I believe in any of them…..BUT I will keep Haiti in my wishes as it has been suffering way too long and needs help most of all….
