IUC World Exclusive: Source Claims Jolie Almost Died Year Ago Due to Bout of “Severe Depression”
A longtime friend of Angelie Jolie claims the A-List actress was hospitalized last year and was about to be read last rites. “She was extremely fatigued, confused and depressed,” the Hollywood film veteran told IUC. “It was all kept hush hush. Angelina battled severe depression for months when it all came to a boil. It appeared she was going to die. She had lost complete control of herself. It’s amazing she’s still around today. I love her and wish her the best. She’s always had a big heart and likes a good laugh. I hope she finally has it all together.” The source added there have been many concerns recently about Angelina’s skeletal figure. “Some feel she’s anorexic,” the source said. “Certainly, she’s lost a lot of weight. It seems Angie has always battled with mental illness. So, it is no surprise to me that she might have gone off the deep end last year, when things with she and Brad were falling apart. Perhaps it might be wise to quit collecting children at such a furious rate…or perhaps that is why she does, to fill the void. So Ian, Brad had a mental breakdown last year and so did Angie? I guess the nannies were taking care of the kids, then? What in the world must Brad’s parents have thought. Perhaps she pulled a “Billy Bob” on Brad and checked herself into the loony bin to save her relationship.
Oh, and yes, I do think she is anorexic. It’s so obvious.

ReplyI don’t know … Somehow the legend about her big heart, which always comes from “longtime friends”, clashes with the way she didn’t shut her big mouth after the Pitt/Aniston break-up for years. I’ve always thought she was too open about various details of her “falling in love with Brad” and “open” is synonymous with “tactless”. Of course, the Brangelunatics will use prettier synonyms like “outspoken” and “sincere” but as far as I’m concerned, she was tactless to the point of cruel as if she didn’t care that she would cause even more pain. Rather than relieve it by keeping as quiet as possible, she would carry on and on and on.
I have a real problem seeing a good person behind all this. Her fans simply won’t understand that those who “hate” her are no haters at all – rather, they have a real problem seeing a good person behind her obvious lack of tact and are annoyed with the huge media campaign aiming to convince everybody that she is some sort of a saint. Everybody with a bit of common sense was disgusted that a certain group of people seemed to believe that if they repeated something one-thousand times, everybody would buy it in the end.
As far as I’m concerned, her behaviour has revealed her as nothing more than vain. JMO.

I seriously doubt if she were dying she would call for Last Rites. She’d probably be ordering a fire proof suit.
So, SALT is tanking, now we are getting all the Jolie supporters posting Pity Party B.S. for her benefit. How can anyone pity a woman who deliberately orchastrated a vendictive attack on the wife of her lover? Pity Jolie? Hell no.
ReplyPeople change their tune when they think they are dying though, or could have been James, she took Mad to the church when her mother died, so who knows, I doubt she understands much about faith.
Ian when was this suppose to be. She filmed SALT for first quarter of the year,and we saw her all the time through out the year. How bad could she have really been? Not doubting you, but it sounds like this source has been a wee bit dramatic. If a person gets to the point near death from anorexia they do not just come back this fast, it takes much much longer, and can take years. I have a very close friend going through this. People do not just die from depression. So are we really talking about doing drugs and not eating.
Naked and near death on the floor, (SR) because that is the only thing that really makes sense. It sounds like you left out part of the story. The part where she overdosed because she was depressed and almost died.
This almost makes me wonder too, is she trying to garner sympathy for herself because she is being slammed so badly because of all the things coming out in Morton’s book and the movie has not done as well as expected. The studios are disappointed. (No arguing loons here) she has to be upset about that and trying to regain her image. Brad is not doing it for her anymore apparently .
So what is a girl to do? Cry wolf again? When was this, which quarter of the year?

ReplyBeing a catholic involves much more than “reading the last rites”, which sounds like she’s about to be executed. Instead, it’s about a priest “conducting” the last rites. This is a ceremonial rite usiing holy oils while praying for the dying person.
But how would that help if she’s an unbeliever? It’s a two-way communication. If one doesn’t have faith, how is one to reach the power that is supposed to help? One cannot connect!
But what do I know? The God of christianity is not a human, like us. His word is the last one!
Like much of the other publicity about AJ it all sounds so rehearsed! Even the blind item about her dad being “in the early stages” of Alzheimer’s disease. All of it points to the reparation of her image.

ReplyIan, I went back and did a time line of them for 2009, she was photographed out and about , either with the kids, with Brad , filming, or out of the country, most of the time every 2 or 3 days, at the longest about five days.
Did you mean 2009 or 2010. If you follow it, it just does not look possible , unless she just OD’d on something and was in the hospital for a few days. Other than that I can’t see it it. It is visually not possible.
Did you map this. I mean literally every 2 or 3 days this bitch is in our face. It is incredible how much she likes the media.
Here is a same of a very good source. You know how Kathleen Keener is Brads good friend and Jen’s, but she hangs with Brad often, when that NOTW story broke she told RF at FOX , oh no they are find, loving, affectionate and so sweet together, nothing could be further from the truth, and RF says , my source is reputable and solid. Well of course she is , who can be more solid than Brad’s best bud. What the heck else is she going to tell him, the truth?
Not saying this is not true or did not happen, just saying it does not make any sense in the face of tracking all of her where abouts in 2009, and with photos. Something is off. Seriously, no one believes she is drug free.

Explain to me how Salt can be tanking? It cost $110 mil to make and another say $50 mil for publicity and in ten days it has made $103 million. It will probably take in another $100 million minimum world wide. There are also promotional gimmicks out there that give the studio some $$$$. And then there will most likely be at least $25 million in DVD sales.
I don’t mind folks hating on AJ or hating her etc. But making statements like Salt is tanking seems a little premature given that it has done much better than many thought since it featured a female lead.

How do you feel like bringing someone almost to the end of their life for your personal greed for fame and popularity? I seriously hope you experience similar when you can’t control the crisis around you and you have millions knowing every detail of your personal life, and mostly only the bad. It’s karma for you.

well salt cost 110 million to make and then another 50 million marketing budget. that is 160 million total that we know of. it has made 103 million total, about 70 million domestic and a little over 30 million international. it probably will not make another 100 million overseas considering that it was expected to make most of its money overseas, and its already fallen off since it was released overseas and sales will only decrease. idk where you got that number or the 25 million number. at this rate, it will take it weeks to even make back wut it cost. compare that to inception, which it was expected to beat, which cost 160 million and has grossed 364 million total in three weeks. so for many people, a hit movie is a matter of how much of its budget it makes back in the first few weeks of its opening. inception is a definite. as far as it doing much better than expected, many people thouhgt it would top inception, and even the studios said that performed as expected, not any better.

I have always had the feeling that Kathleen Keener was never Jen’s friend. She’s always seemed so happy around Brad in every single picture they are in that I suspect she was friends with Jen merely because of Brad. I think that as soon as they divorced, she was out of Jen’s camp and back to Brad’s in no time. Has anybody seen her around Jen since then? No. Has any publication listed her as Jen’s friend since then? I don’t think so. I don’t think she’s Angelina’s friend, either, because Angelina looks a lot more reserved than Jen and probably avoids getting friendly with someone who seems to be interested in keeping the friendship with Brad at any cost. Honestly, with a friend like that, I wouldn’t have needed any enemies!

ReplySteve Carell kicked her butt with Dinner for Smucks, it dropped her from 2 to 3 and Inception blew her away. #1 three weeks in a row. Opening night must have been a disappointment, I guess the loons don’t go to the movies. I also think it was an OD or sympathy play. Her happy sexy life with Pitt and hoing out the kids don’t seem to work anymore. They could always put her in the loony bin and film it, maybe she will get another oscar.

No – I think they are quite separate things. I think Mel’s site has been specificially set up to put out Brad-friendly PR stories in the internet gossip community. Mel is ex-In Touch mag which he has always used as a mouthpiece so it figures. Ian I think is just not analysing the obvious bias of his sources and has a bit of a soft spot for Angelina so posts stuff that she leaks to him which would be beneficial to her image. I think the book was watered down because the publishers were too afraid of legal action. It’s so pointless to hear it all over and over again though – all this Angie nearly died because she was so depressed because you were mean about her and she has such a good heart really and I know because I am such a good friend etc nonsense. We have heard this story on this site about a hundred times now and the more we hear it the less we believe it. It is tiresome.

IAN, how is Andrew getting away with some of things he has in his book? He has pretty much slandered her mother , making her out to be in need of mental help of her own. He is also sympathetic to Brad, and her father.
You got your book out before they could sue you at all. I would really like to see you just put some things out there in the style you are known for, the pitt bull reporter that does not back down. Almost everything on Brange is watered down and we can not tell as Keane said if you have soft spot, great respect, have been threatened, or what. You have pulled back on so many stories on her .
As for Mel Myers being his mouth piece , I don’t know. Not sure any of that really helps Brad honestly, he still sounds like a stoned kid wimped out afraid to make a move, and it does not paint him in a good light at all. It basically supports everything that Andrew Morton wrote. I would bet they have some of the same sources. I know Andrew Morton said the same thing about Brad, that her site did, as to why he left, made Angie out to be the dirty whore that she is, sorry, and was not getting it at home. Boy was toast. Poor Brad. What is boy to do?
I think it is all a little bit more complicated that it appears. It would be really nice to see it just laid out . Drug over dose, what? When did this happen? Looking at her photos and activities from Jan 09 to Jan 10, she had maybe a week to recover. Most can not recover from the flu in that amount of time.
A year ago, wasn’t that right about the time Michael died. I hate to say this, but I would bet Angelina could not stand having all the attention taken away from her, wouldn’t put it past her to bring it about.
Just asking you to do what you have always been hailed as, investigate.

ReplyThere is a book about this called “The Rising Plague”. It’s author is Dr. Brad Spellberg.
The segment was rather short. They did suggest 3 methods of keeping the deadly bacteria at bay:
1) Wash you hands. (for at least 20 secs.) Or use alcohol to cleanse your hands.
2) Ask before you take an antibiotic. Do you really need this?
3) Get out of the hospital as soon as you can. (Hospitals are a breeding ground for deadly germs!)
For those who think Andrew Morton’s book is NOT sympathetic to Angelina, read Dawn Olsen’s part 1 interview with Morton, 5 pages long. Dawn has ripped Angelina a new one for the last two years, this book has changed her feelings about Angie, she now understands why she is Saint Angelina little girl lost.

Angelina Jolie had access to the best mental health available. Most unwanted children don’t have that. This woman truly disgusts me. They need to put that pix of her on Star on the UN site. I don’t think so Joanne, there are things in there that I doubt very much she would have liked made public, it makes her look like a pathological liar, manipulative, cheat, slut, but at the same time it excuses all because she was abandoned as a child and not raised with any boundaries. What I take issue with is that AM was not really honest about who she is today. That she has not changed really, I have yet to read it, but if he maintains that she has quit doing drugs, that she no longer is sleeping with co-stars and ex lovers, or thinking of ways to manipulate people, then that would be a sell out imo because is still the Angie many all love to hate today. Can someone prove that is not her? I don’t think so. He may have gotten it right as for her past, but I don’t believe he has gotten the past few years correct.

There is an article on NYPOST.com and it retells some of the highlights in Andrew Morton’s new book. Honestly, I never knew that Angelina’s mother was such a whack job, but that’s only the beginning!
Just read the article (I”ll give you the link below) and judge for yourself. The part about Brad Pitt not being “the grinning pussycat he seemed” is definitely my favourite. It seems that he wasn’t the pursued!
