A friend of the actress told IUC yesterday that Jen Aniston and Gerard Butler are no longer an item. “They were never really a couple,” the source said. “It was all a game to promote their film Bounty Hunter. The film was terrible and the romance barely got off the ground. The producers thought they could spin something like Mr. and Mrs. Smith, garnering massive attention from an affair involving the film’s co-stars. Problem is that Jen and Gerard didn’t have 1 percent of the sexual chemistry that Angelina and Brad had on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Gerard has been linked to someone else for months. If you look at the numbers for Bounty Hunter it could hardly be called terrible and barely off the ground, if that is true, over half of Angelina’s films and a couple of Brad’s should be about six feet under .

ReplyI agree Kate! Both Jennifer and Gerard have said from Day 1 they were good friends.In all their ineterviews for TBH they kept repeating it. As for TBH not doing well-BS!! It’s made over 112 million worldwide so far and still going. That is almost three times it’s budget. As for comparing it to MAMS-Ian I think your source is a Joliepitt source.. Ian-I don’t believe any of Jen’s friends would talk to you about Jen’s life. She’s been in Hawaii shooting a film with Adam.

ReplyActually Jen and Gerard never claimed to be in a romance, but at every opportunity made it known that they enjoyed one aonther’s friendship and company. Period. No need to deny a romance that never way is there? To date it’s earned worldwide $99,313.528. The cost to make it was $40 mil. I’d call that a success. In addition, I seriously doubt any producers would wish the curse of MAMS on any film. The “sexual chemistry” as you called it between Jolie and Pitt was simply filmed adulterous affair between a well know HW sexual preditor and her willing victim Pitt. We all saw how that affected MAMS. Went to HBO in no time, and is stuck with the tag of “The film where mommy and daddy fell in love”. Not a very good advertisement for wholesome American entertainment for the family. Illegal, illicit, and degrading are what turns Jolie on. And lastly, when Brad and Jen became a romantic couple, they hid it well from all prying eyes for ages! Jen is a private woman, and independent woman who doesn’t need a man to feel complete and she is a woman of high morals and integrity; she would never do to any woman what Angelina Jolie did to Marcia Lynne Bertrand (her mother), or to Laura Dern, or to Jen herself. The satisfaction out of all this is that Angie and Brad have sunk so low in public opinion and in HW itself, that it’s very likely no one else would ever want either of them. They made their unholy bed, now let them stew in it.

Good questions CT! Ian usually gets his reports from a source that knows all three of them. Or that is what the other articles he has written about Jennifer has said. I don’t think a friend of Jen’s would talk like there ever was a romance with Gerard.They all knew he and Jen were just friends who enjoyed working together.They all went to Cabo as friends for her birthday.

This sounds just exactly like the kind of pretend-to-like-Jen-but-really-bash-her story that Jolie likes to “leak” to the press, in this case IUC. My first clue was the whole Jen thought she and Gerry would be like Mr and Mrs Smith but they just didn’t have that awesome break up a marriage chemistry that the Ho and the Goat had! And yes Brad wanted to f*ck ho-bag on MAMS (and did – allegedly!) but I doubt he’d go within 100 yards of her broomstick-ass nowadays. And as for poor Jen, well she is still bringing in those millions of $$$$ at the box office after the age of 40 – something of a feat for a HW actress – and, let’s face it is probably boning Brad by now. You need to stop listening to James Haven’s little keyboard monkeys (NOTE TO JAMES: GET A REAL JOB, STOP SCABBING OFF YOUR SISTER!) and start doing what you did in your MJ book and set out to uncover the truth, not regurgitating the PR BS. I am not blind to Ian, been along with him now for about a year and a half, he knows exactly how I feel, as others do. I am just not going to be a bitch about it. Ian has said he always says when he was wrong, that is the Ian I have always known, right now, not sure..I don’t feel confident in his sources at this point, and don’t think many do , and will not unless there is some type of closure to the accusations against Sandy. Either prove that he was right and show the tape, or prove the source was wrong and apologize to Sandy. Those are the only two options that I can see . This was just too big a story to sweep under a new story, and I don’t think anyone is going to forget it.
FTR if Ian said on record that he had seen a tape of Angelina in intercourse with a pitt bull or being raped, the same would apply, we are not talking about a rumor here, or about something 3 people have claimed, something that has been around for years on the street, we are talking about something that is alledged to be on a sex tape.
Either you have seen it or you have not seen it. He saw the Tiger Woods tape and spoke on that rather graphically , but that was on a show that attracts that type of viewers. His site attracts women, and Ian may be trying to change that, to a more Howard Stern type blog,we are not quite sure, it would be nice to have a heads up. An courtesy email, a FYI in the header , something. Ian has a young daughter, and I have wonder how he would feel if one day someone would report these kind of things about her. As a mother of a daughter I can only guess he would be ready to rip their throat out because I know how much he loves that little girl, she is his world. That is why I , and the other ladies find it a little conflicting on why he repeats these graphic images to a female audience. It can and should be toned down a bit. or put under a ..spoiler, with an alert to graphic , and let the reader decide if they want to read what the source said if he is going to quote explicit details. jmho of course.
So, no while I have defended Ian often and with friendship, this I and many of the ladies do not understand..I have not commented because we wanted to give it some time and see if he was going to issue a statement about this source. I have not seen one. If he did , then my apologies.
Hope this clears up where I stand. I realize sources can not be outed, but liars can and should be. They in fact should be prosecuted.
Replyhi ladies long time no hear. as for the bounty hunter it is deff not a flop and my son watched it and said that he enjoyed it and watched it till the end which i could not believe as he is a action and series comedy watcher, which proves in my opinion it was a ok as he did not watch wanted or mams at all after watching the trailer as he though how stupid can a married couple be not to know what the other is doing after being married that long. and as for jen i do not thik her friends would talk about her love life and she stated that there was nothing between them and i believe that she is just a warm and friendly and loving type of woman as well as a touchy feely type of person i am as well with my friends sometimes. jmo

Ok Ian, Kate is not going to be a b*tch about it, but that’s because that’s always been my role and one I will not shirk now. Ian, a few words of advice from someone who inhabits the same industry/world that you do sometimes, should you care to hear them: this is not the way to play it. Career’s in this business take off on the basis of people liking you as a person and wanting to hang out with you after work. They do not take off on the back of screwing people over, being dishonest or trying to pull a fast one. You will lose opportunities through this and to be honest I can actually tell you for a fact that you are right now. You will not get the thing you most desire. You are not Angelina, this game will not work for you as it has for her, you’re making a big mistake by following her example. Fess up, apologise and move the hell on while you still have a chance of retaining some of the support you have gained through your books and your website. Right now, it is all looking very, very shakey indeed. Just a word of advice from someone who has read you and supported you for quite some time now but will not be doing so any longer if you carry on like this. For what that is worth.

ReplyMany, many things Ian has said have been unsubstantiated, or “developing…” Sudanese babies, pit bulls, and anything Sugar Ray Ramone or Ms. Nine Cent (who I don’t believe exist) ever said. A lot of discussion of SRR’s posts, even though it was like the people who translate Edgar Cayce or Nostrodomus’ readings and think they broke the code. Meaningless ramblings can seem to make sense when people believe they are truth disguised. It didn’t matter when the celebrities were the hated Brad & Angie, but now that he tried to exploit the soup du jour story of Sandra Bullock, everyone is questioning him and his sources. Anyway, that’s my Ms. Two Cents worth.

ReplyBTDT I understand what you are saying, but all of those topics were disgussed under a riddle or blind context, not a blatant acusation. A bit different. Many gossip sites do that. I addressed that already when I said if this were Angelina and a tape the same would be expected. I don’t really hate any celeb, may not like certain behavior that they put out their themselves, but I don’t hate them for it. What makes SB a bit different however is that she has not put her life out there to be discussed as people like Megan Fox, Britney, Angelina, Lindsey. Some of these people court the attention because they know it keeps them relevant, and quite frankly some of them do not really care how bad the attention is. That really was not was I was commenting on, but rather using a sloppy source or an out and out liar. Ian has always been a target for people to try and punk him with faulty information and I , among others find it irresponisble that he would put this tape info out in such graphic detail without actually seeing the tape, and be so adament that it was her. IF he did see it ,and he thought it was her, and now realizes it was not, then say so, apologize, lets move on. If someone set him up, figure out who, why they do, what their motive was, and let them be held accountable , and apologize. If by some slight chance he was right, then bring it out , get someone else to watch, several, and colloborate this story once and for all and everyone else can apologize to Ian. It is about sources and credibility , and having a little bit of respect when reporting what they say when recounting back here to the women that are supporting him. That is all. Ian is a writer and a reporter, he has to be expect that people , including us are going to hold his feet to the fire. I can not imagine he would want it any other way. If he does, then he is not really seeking the truth in any of his stories, and that is what he has built his career on. So, I am going on the assumption he is okay with me saying this.

Ian, WTF is going on?? You really need to clear up the Sandra Bullock issue. *IF* she chooses to pursue legal action against you and this was an innocent mistake or you believe a source who played you, I think it would help you to clear up the issue.
Also, there is a great acronym “NSFW” (not suitable for work) that MOST decent sites use to warn of explicit content. It would behoove you to start using it, that is if you give a shit about keeping your current audience.

By the way, I find it as well written as any of the spiteful, seemingly neutral articles about Aniston on “Just Jared” – it’s only rivalled by them, but even they choose words that find it hard to prove they are full of deliberate desire to mock her.
As for finding “the right man”, don’t forget that Aniston lives and works in Hollywood and that doesn’t make it easy to find someone even remotely fitting the description of “normal”, let alone “right”. I don’t think your last sentence is fair, Ian. If Pitt was the last chance for normality, then all I can say is that Hollywood is not the address where you will find it – look what he did and how narcissistically he approached his own break-up. Bet he’s not easy to live with, either, or she would never let him go.
As for the “famous” chemistry between Pitt and Jolie, anyone please tell me where it is now. I’m asking this because I have trouble seeing it. Look at him – the guy looks shrivelled and anything but the happy, sexy, radiant, well-groomed Pitt with Aniston and before Jolie. If finding your soul mate and six kids with her does that to anyone, I’d rather stay without the soul mate and without the kids – life is too short for such exhaustion and aggravation and there is a lot more that one can potentially do in life, and rewardingly at that.

Watch the video of the night they showed up at the Inglorious Basterds premiere, her wearing that awful leather dress, it is quite hilarious. She does a couple of poses separately from him, one leg in front of the other, then the next, then approaches him to go for the stock power couple pose. He kind of grabs her hand and pushes her away from him (he had obviously not given the ok for this move) and she takes a few back steps and then goes with her “I’m the most incredible woman in the world having the time of her life” stock triumphal laugh to cover it up. It’s so funny. How can anyone believe that these two are still in a relationship? What a couple of hams they are.

Whether or not it is true that was clearly an Angelina/James-fed leak. Their agenda was so freaking obvious from the tone of their language that I was amazed at the time that Ian fell for it. That and the teenage rape victim story obviously. Both stories were clearly utterly ludicrous.
