ReplyI believe I read somewhere that that is how Sylvester Stallone got his start – porn. It seemed to have been a flurishing business pre AIDS, now it’s doubtful if too many would consider it, even as a last resort. There’s always ways to survive without risking your life, health and/or reputation.
It always amazes me that these celebs who made it to A-List, earned a chytpot filled with cash, end up broke, and needy in the end. I would think they’d see themselves as the end product of a manufacturing business, and would then treat their jobs as a business. Good managers, bookkeepers, reports, audits, IRA …lol Guess they become too jaded and just spend, spend, spend….till it’s gone. Can’t pity them though, sheer stupidity.

ReplyYep hate to say it but there are plenty of big name stars that have been in gay porn, some of it did not get buried until a good 20 years ago..even 10 years ago some stills were still out there from them..I have no idea who this is but I will throw a few names out -

Hi Pattyanne! Spring has sprung in my area; so I’ve been outside a big part of the day. But some minor accident has me here. We had a brief earthquake this morning; unlike the one that lasted over 30 seconds on Easter. Felt many aftershocks. And more to come, they report.
I’m not sure about those who died broke. There are many in the biz who did. I believe that Judy Garland did wind up destitute. Some of those that do come to mind were minor players, such as Gordon Scott.

Currently, Nick Cage is having quite a time trying to dispense of expensive property. No one responded to his auction of a pricey home, for example. Read he had spent money like those lottery winners we read about who didn’t know how to handle their sudden wealth.
AND, I read that Faye Dunaway has been behind in her rent. She used to have a reputation of someone who was very hard to work with. But so did others who managed to save for that inevitable rainy day.
Perhaps financial matters weren’t that important at the time.
And, currently, there’s the case of L. Lohan.
There was a rumor back in the day, that the great Joan Crawford paid her rent that way when starting out.
Yes, it’s a fact of life in the biz. So much competition; sometimes the competition is too talented and much better looking than an ambitious actor can overcome; so he goes after the powerful players he knows can help. This has gone on since the beginning.`
For example, Robert Wagner was not very talented at the start of his career. But he had a killer smile and looks that got him noticed. He made friends with some big names who happened to be bi or gay. One was Clifton Webb, who was popular at the time.
There are two books out about Natalie Wood, who married Robert Wagner, twice. She reportedly caught RW in bed with another man, and divorced him. But she gave him another chance, with the proviso that he’d never do it again. Her dominant mother had RW’s number from the beginning, but NW wouldn’t listen.
There’s an author who specializes in outing superstars. HIs name is Darwin Porter. Also, there’s at least one photo of Marlon Brando, a self-confessed bi, who is performing o/s on his pal.
I think it’s Blind Gossip that printed a site which features a photo of Brad and George. Brad is glowing!
This is the second pic I’ve seen of BP’s reacting to GC in such a manner.

I read those 2 books about Natalie Wood – very interesting and esp.very interesting how easily the killer got off. No investigaton – nuttin’. I believe her sister, Lana, wants to reopen the case. I would like to see that while Robert Wagner and that other guy ( God my memory – can’t remember that actor’s name that was on the boat with them) are still on this earth.
Now, I wonder who this porn person is that the subect of this thread- would have to be reasonably good lookin’ and have a “memorable” body, right?

It would be a great tribute to Natalie Wood if the case was re-opened. It certainly would be justified, and show the world that no one is above the law. That’s probably just wishful thinking, however.
I was very impressed with how detailed the evidence was put forth in the latest book. Thank the good forces of the universe, that the yacht’s captain finally surrendered to his guilty conscience and agreed to tell the truth, at long last!

The term, “washed up” seems to indicate he was a big star at one time.
One of my all time favorite actors was Aldo Ray. He did very good work during his heyday. But as he aged, he had to settle for lesser and lesser parts. Eventually, he worked in soft porn. Not as the star of such but in a supporting role. Just one role, however.
ReplyHe was a very honest actor. He frankly admitted that he had had to submit to a gay director at the start of his career. This director was one of the best! And George Cukor did boost Aldo Ray as a first rate newcomer back then.
Sometimes the research leads to stuff that makes me disgusted. But I think it’s also educational; and therefore, easier to understand their reasons.

ReplyThe blind says that the washed-up actor is PRODUCING porn, not starring in it. So extremely gross people like Busey or Walken could be just as likely as anyone to be the one. But I doubt that it’s either of them, the blind seems to suggest that the person was once more Alist than those two ever were. JMTC
