Of these 3 couples, definitely Depp & Paradis — their kids will probably be goodhearted and cool. Fishstick’s spawn will be anal, judgmental snobs. Angie’s kids, sadly disturbed. Luxury and privilege are nice, but children of the famous are exposed to too much and grow up too fast.

ReplyUnless you are in someone’s home with them you don’t know what kind of parents they are. I still hear substance abuse rumors about Depp and his gf so none of us really know anything about the home lives of any of these parents and children.

To Jeannie: unless you are in someone’s home…IMO….Johnny was a bad boy and did ’some’ drugs and everyone knows that, however when he met Vanessa and she had his children he’s changed for the better. Believe me if he was still using it would have shown in many ways such as: neglected physical appereance, (Jolie and Brad=checked), not spending time with your family, (Jolie’ s weightloss, Brad’s haggard appereance, unshaven, ‘don’t care look’, his clothes and his shoes speak for him, the ‘bum look’; Jolie’s boots are the same in the photo shoots or at least appear to be, obviously the only time she looks good is at the ‘award ceremonies’, any other times they both looked like homeless people wearing black to cover imperfections, they both look like they need a shower. She lost so much weight her face imperfections are beginning to show, facelifts and all. People are talking, they still talking …. On the other hand we don’t hear negativity comments so much about Depps and Paradis. Vanessa and Johnny both look healthy, their children look healthy; they don’t tend to ‘eat at McDonalds for an opportunity photo (PR ) release to the press since they don’t have anything to cover. In another words they don’t need to prove the world anything such as their love with ‘kissing appeareances at superbowls, etc., no PDA’s, or they don’t need to adopt every kid in the world to prove that they care for others, etc. ….now is this enough for you? Johnny and Vanessa are role models to their children. Now, the press can prove me wrong….but I doubt it!

I would agree with that. I will add that on the cover of L&S with Brad and Angie and the twins it is a nice cover, except for him, he definitely brings nothing to the family photo opps right now, his value has expired on the “most beautiful family” title, lol. He just looks depressed. You take him out, and then I can see people who know nothing about them thinking what a pretty family Angelina and her twins are, but Brad , looks like she asked the bum on the corner to help her carry one of the kids. The story is how they have not fixed the problems and Angie is happy again, lol, same as last year . Every time they go out of the country we hear how good it is for them and how happy they are, and when they are in NYC and LA, the great divide is revealed. hilarious.
As for parenting, I think people hate them so much they let it color opinion of their parenting, and while I detest how they pimp the kids out I don’t know that all of it is pimping. Right now they are making a statement, that is evident, but I do believe both Brad and Angelina love their kids. They both seem to have so many of their own problems though that they are failing at parenting 101. Basic common sense, if you are miserable, you will put yourself first..and we see that. I am guessing they are holding on the best they can with the help of nannies. Drug addicts don’t do well parenting, any more than drunks or people overwhelmed exhausted, you do the best you can. However I do believe they have good hired help, what the children are lacking is problem jsut the bonding, although how much, who knows. When I was growing up it was common for Dads to work all the time and never be home. Time will tell on these kids, hopefully no one gives them anymore.
There is no way to judge how well someone is parenting until you see the final product unless that child is clearly being abused, although there is definitely something odd going on with Shiloh’s wardrobe. At the same time we do not, or most of here, pay that much attention to what the other two couples do with their kids. I would suspect both other moms are both more hands on, but it is rumored that Gwen and Chris are not even together and have not been for ages, or have been seeing other people, she went on a long travel cooking venture, so who knows who was mothering the kids. As for Vanessa, they put it out there to the fans they live low key and stay put in France, but they back and forth to LA you just don’t hear about it because they do protect the kids from the media. Since they each only have two, I think a better comparison would be to a couple who has at least four kids each. Big difference in parenting two kids and six kids. When they just had Mad and Zee they seemed to do fairly well.
But what are we talking about in regards to parenting? Who offers love, support, discipline, structure, or just has a close knit family without that? If all the rumors are true then Brad and Angie should have had a few visits from Child & Family Services, but that is problem, no one wants to tell the truth about any of it. They just give an opinion, a rumor and that is criminal. From what we have heard , a Nannie reported them, and yet nothing happened, so does that mean that was not true?
so my question is, not which of these three couples is the best in parenting, but-
IAN, what is the truth about the Brange parents. What happened to the custody NOTW split papers (which can’t really decide custody) what happened to the lawsuit, which apparently is off..What is really going on with these
parents?
How do they NOT get investigated by CFS? Why does Brad allow Shiloh to be pimped out like little boy day after day? There must be a reason. Doesn’t any of your sources know the answer to this? Why doesn’t he just take at least her and leave….

Coincidentally I am working in child’s services right now and know a bit about the way it works. If a child is on the child protection register it is a completely confidential thing between social services, any other services which are involved with the child and the parents. I am working with one little girl at the moment who is on the CP register even though she has really sweet – if young – parents. She has a syndrome which makes her extremely small but she still hasn’t been gaining as much weight as the docs would have expected so they believe it is because she isn’t being fed enough. This is classified as neglect so she is on the register for it even though she probably has a much nicer family environment that a lot of kids. Anyway, my point is, if the Jolie-Pitt kids had been investigated by the CPS in any way we would not know about it unless there was a conviction, a leak from someone or because there was an incident such as an “accident” that couldn’t be explained away in the press adequately. Althuogh I genuinely think most celebs, especially these two, could think of a way to explain away almost anything that might happen to their kids and get away with it. Until the kids grow up to talk themselves I just don’t think we’ll hear about it.
ReplyI think holey has lots of film with lots of people doing nasty things. If any other parent went on tv bragging about a chunk of hash what would happen? If you were an admitted heroin addict (but clean) would you be allowed to adopt? If you little girl went to school looking and dressed like a boy, what would happen? Shiloh has been dressed like a boy since birth so I don’t think it was her decision. Why are they still getting postive press? Our sons, daughters and grandkids deserve a better role models than this.

Out of these 3, Johnny and Vanessa! I am sure Gwynie and Chris are good parents too, but with all his cheating. that has to affect the atmosphere at home.

You’re probably right. To me, the Brand appears to be reviving the old HW tradition of “photo op family” — trot the kids out for happy family photos and let the help raise them the rest of the time. But who knows.
The main thing that bugs me about the Jolie-Pitts is them selling photos of the kids which in turn just made them even bigger targets for the paps. Since it is very hard to avoid pics of the Jolie-Pitt kids and I couldn’t identify a picture of either Gwyn & Chris’ kids or Johnny & Vanessa’ kids without a parent present, I think both couples qualify as better role models.

They could have a normal life, as Johhny and Van’s kids seem to, if they would stay put in one place and put the damn kids in school. They could develop normal friendships that way. ReplyAs for best parents of the three choices, I can state whom I believe based upon what I’ve read over time , are the worst are in order of worst being first: 1) Angelina Jolie (Brad seems to be trying)
2) would be none of the above as I personally feel that Chris Martin and Gweynneth, as well as Johnny Depp and Vanessa are doing a great job of raising their children out of public photo ops, spending time with them rather than traveling the world dragging them behind or leaving them at home, raising twins in a separate home due to one adipted child’s physical assults on the male twin in the past….and on and on. IT seems to be on target most of the time, and they have, but I really doubt they told her to turn it into Saturday Night Live. Seriously, it is comical. In the kiss, the have their lips sealed tight, she is pulling him in , her classic pose, (of course he is holding the girls hands with his right hand) but if you look carefully in the reflection of the glass you will see that her right hand is clasped in his left hand, it is not just hanging there. Ladies, anyone’s anyones hubby kiss them goodbye from lunch in the middle of other people like that..he face is so sucked in looks like she toking. Totally posed. Nothing intimate about that. I have to admit though in one picture she does put on the “loving and adoring face ” while talking to him, he has his back to us, but body language suggest he is telling her what he is about to take the kids home for nap time, not that he loves . lol
IF, Brad really wanted people to believe he was happy with Angelina he would look like a man does who has been married for 7 years and is cheating, not like the bored husband. Suddenly he would be well groomed, buff, a little color to that pasty skin, his hair would be neatly trimmed , that bird’s nest would be gone, and he would not wear clothes that look like he takes off, throws on the floor, gets up, and puts them back on the next morning. ReplyTed has always maintained she is a good mother, and that those kids are what save her. He is totally in her corner on that, and I dare say, he does not hold JV in high regard, considering JV is a staunch Republican and goes against the grain of everything Ted wants. He is just flip flopping like he always does, never answering a question directly because he doesn’t know. I think part of it is ego too, he wants to tell a different story from IAN and what others have said. When the NOTW story hit, and they did not respond for so long, well we saw has fast he jumped on the split wagon didn’t we. Now he is making those silly comments about them having good sex again. He is just trying to guess which horse is going to cross the finish line, that is all.

ReplyI personally love Ted, yet am disappointed in him….lol…I cannot fathom how both of these people are “good” parents in any sort of way! Just look at them both! They are such messes, and hopefully will not mess up their children’s lives. Did you all notice that in the “kissing” pics, Angie looked like she was going to throw up, jmo! It was way lame. Even pap pap Voight look uncomfortable in the Venice pics…could he still be seeing the same ‘ole same ‘ole in the way Angie lives her life? It is so obvious that someone, whether it be agents, or highers ups, are controlling the way the Jolie-Pitt’s are represented, knowing they are really coming down many pegs on the ladder of normalcy. Brad is a mess, through and through, Angelina has way too many demons nipping on her heels that she can’t get it together (as shown on her most recent interviews, and photo ops) I am still DYING to see what comes next…they’ve done shopping, adjusting to their “Venice” love nest, bringing pap pap on board, romantic dinners in Paris, et al…it is enough to make me puke! Also, what are the repurcussions of having babies while on drugs such as heroin? Could that be why the twins are a little “off”? Just curious to see what others think on that line…

E had a story on yesterday that Jamie is going through the ’seminary’ and i kid you not, and now that he is “born again” he was pushing for Angelina and Daddy to reconcile in a big way…I found that quite interesting! Also, I find it VERY curious that at this time the father/daughter rift is thawing, and if you go back some years, right at the end of Brad/Jen, he was also healing that particular mother/daughter rift….so is Brad someone who mends important relationships and then disappears??

Wow this is a veritable PR bombardment we are getting from Angelina right now, it is like a freaking avalanche. I guess the studio really was not happy with the press she’s being getting lately huh? Silly fools, they need to start paying a bit more attention to the message boards. This woman is damaged goods and she is becoming a bigger and bigger risk in terms of generating box office. Time the execs wised up.
BTW the video of her interacting with Maddox at the SB is just the same. It is like they are two distant relatives or family friends interacting with him. No physical closeness, odd, awkward-looking behaviour from the pair of them like he was some stranger’s kid. Maddox just looked bemused by it. It is uncomfortable to watch to me. There are some photos on Female First of Angelina holding some of the chlldren and you can tell how awkward she is and how the children do not have a close bond with her. There is one where Shilok is turning away from her as she is trying to hold her and is crying which is really upsetting. One of her arms is pushing Angelina away and physically trying to block Angelina’s body from getting close to hers. She must be under 2 in this photo. It is a very upsetting shot.

It is hard to believe that All the time they are faking. If they had or have couple’s problems I buy the idea that they are working to resolve those problems. StarMagazine are right with the title “BACK IN LOVE”. So nobody is perfect so they are human beings with the same problems that everybody has.

What many people fail to understand is that The Brand is just that, a business with the brand name “Brangelina”. When Bennifer failed, the PR wise guys saw just what a huge publicity money maker it had been and set out to “find” the new Bennifer coupling. Well, along came Angie Ho and Brad PittY…aka…Brangelina (The Brand). They sold the public a pack of goods to create a money generating business. They sold their “love” from day #1; the photos taken of Brad and Angie in “W” portraying a happy married family with four/five sons sitting around the dinner table . Unfortunately for Brad and Angie, Brad was not single at the time, so it backfired in the moral community. Then when Angie saw that she was about to be repeating her recent history with bad press ( BBT and LD), she came up with the story to spread against Brad’s wife Jennifer Aniston not wanting babies so he had a right to leave her for fertile Angie. BIOTCH~! She got away with that for a long time, before someone close to her told how devious, vicious, and jealous she truly is. Discovering her diagnosis of Psycopath helps to understand how she can function with total lack of emotion reguarding the effects of her evil deeds upon others. Total lack of empathy, compassion, guilt, remorse….nada. So to her, using BP to climb up the HW ladder of success, birthing a few bios to keep him tied to her side as long as SHE wishes it (while still having sexual relations with anyone else whom she wished), is simply put, her right. Sociopath’s feel anything they want is theirs for the taking, and anyone in their way be damned. That’s your goddess. She is incapable of loveing anyone other than herself. If you look closer at her portrayals in films, you will see she had nothing to base her emotions on in all films other than Girl Interrupted and Gia, both of which she was simply playing….herself.

I vote for JD and V~ low key and protect their kids. As to possible drug use, well I (and other social scientists) define that different to drug abuse. Many of us maintain a boundary of this being adult stuff and not for children to be exposed to. Including alcohol and cigarettes.

BuzzFoto – This popular celeb couple has an image problem. It being that the female REALLY cares about how she and her partner are perceived and the male couldn’t care less. The female is so obsessed about the PR side of their relationship, about looking to be secure and in love, that it is driving the male to resent her. He is starting to want out, because the harder she pulls the further he pushes away. We hear although she is super famous and beautiful, she is incredibly insecure. This was a family holiday, the Pitt family had planned to spend it in NO with the grandchildren and all the family members celebriting the birth of the Christ Child, and of establishing a family time for those poor children who are dragged around the world on a daily basis. The point of the story is not who (male or female) would permit Pitt to stay the night, but what a lousy mother AJ is and how she is so narcissistic that she refuses to consider the needs of her children before her own. And one final note on the term Other Woman. It WAS Angelina Jolie, and it still IS Angelina Jolie….@mooki:

This blind item actually ran back in March of ‘09, and sources immediately started saying it was Brangelina and supermodel Karolina Kurkova. Apparently, the three of them met at a party in New York during the MAMS days, and they started the affair immediately after.
An insider even claimed to have overheard Karolina boasting about the affair at a party. “She was giddy, acting like a schoolgirl.”
Of course, when the s**t really started to hit the fan, everyone denied everything and the affair was quickly swept under the rug. But the Angry Greek never forgot, which is why I thought it would be fun to rehash, rehash, rehash.
What a loving couple they make. Truly beautiful. I know that if I were to marry Amber Benson, I would want to share her with as many supermodels as possible. Because that is what you do when you find the love of your life.

Ho-hum. I believe that some people can be quite happy in a relationship even when the relationship itself is not emotionally satisfying because they get other extras from it – social status, security and admiration, to name but a few: everything they wouldn’t be able to accomplish alone.
My fairly irrelevant opinion is that Miss Jolie fits the above profile quite well and has no reason whatsoever to be so miserable as to want out. I don’t think she was looking for a soulmate in Pitt at all – I think she was desperate for approval before she met him and the chance to work with him was the last glimmer of hope in her life.
Now that she has more approval and more attention than she could ever dream of on her own, she must only want to keep that as long as possible. Kids are an excellent device for controlling anyone or any future relationship he’s in. With six kids around her, she has no reason to worry that someday she’ll be history like many others.
By the way, I’m just back from the IMDB’s message boards and I find it ridiculous that someone called her “the reigning empress of Hollywood”. If the only prerequisite for being an empress in this place is sleeping with Hollywood’s leading man, then I’d say Hollywood is a very easy place to live in.
How about some real talent she hasn’t shown in years? How about a real good movie she hasn’t been in for ten years now? I hope no-one will mention “A Might Heart” and “The Changeling” because she botched them both. Pitt gave her the chance to play Marianne Pearl and she ruined the part completely. Same with “The Changeling”.
If we try to go further, being the reigning empress of Any Wood should involve some real integrity, which she lacks completely. At least, she should have feigned some brief remorse for “happening” to be the other woman in Pitt’s marriage rather than inviting Aniston to talk to her if she wanted to. What hypocrisy!
She is a limited actress, a professional “other woman” and one of the most insensitive people I’ve ever seen in the public eye. It is beyond me why and how she got anybody’s admiration for nothing. Her charity is demonstrative and intended to divert the public attention from her filthy past.

ReplyIs it just me or am I the only one painfully aware that the Brange kids are ALWAYS wearing hats to cover up their big malformed foreheads? I just cannot see Ange laying off the drugs completely when having those twins. I think her addiction progressed by the time she was having them as Shiloh didn’t have this problem. After it became apparent they had developmental disabilities (at age 6 months) there was a whole lot of blaming and the Brange broke up. You know nannies are raising those kids & Angelina is probably spleeping all day & strung out when she’s not working or “volunteering”.
As for Gwyneth, she tries but she can’t do ANYTHING right. I think she barely sees Martin and his pupils always seem “pinny” to me. That’s another relationship that is over but they don’t want to give the press the satisfaction. She seems awfully depressed while pining for Brad Pitt & other royal princes she’s tried to get with. She uses her Goop site to have revenue to fall back on as she knows her career is over except for the pity shown by RDJr in insisting she be cast in Iron Man saga. She tried to be the next Grace Kelly, failed & now we all have to pay.
