    I;m sorry for their loss.
    On another note – I knew that woman was no good! She shows up and next thing you know Bill Clinton has a heart attack.

    @ VIttoria – just hearing about this on the news. My mum had this done two years ago. Didn’t know he had had a quadruple bypass though – Jesus. He is young to have had that. They don’t hold up forever either.

    Still in shock over Lee McQueen. One of the worst losses to culture for quite a long time I would say, way more than Michael Jackson. Utterly tragic.

    So do you think he was inconsolable about his mother’s pasing?

    @Vittoria:

    Hm, sounds like he may have had some pre-existing mental health issues to me. And the world of fashion is so soaked with drugs that I would have thought that would have made an impact on his state of mind too. Plus he seemed like a genuine guy, and actually quite shy and emotionally vulnerable. And that isn’t the best sort of person to bear the pressure of great fame and having to live up to people’s expectations of your work. It is very stressful for people in these positions. They need to be tough and have a thick skin to survive it and I don’t think he did. When I went to this party (a good 7 years ago maybe now) it was obvious that he had had a fair bit of plastic surgery. He had obviously had the cheeks/nose/chin combo thing done. I was surprised at the time because I thought as a maverick artist he wouldn’t care about anything as superficial as that, but he obbviously did. Sounds like he couldn’t take much more of life to me (he also had a relationship break down before the death of his mum) and I can see where he’s coming from to be honest. Sometimes I think life is too parinful to bear. You can deal with one thing but when it’s one, then another, then another, relentlessly on and on, it can become too much. And it only seems to get harder as you get older and the more you lose IMO. I find it very hard to live without the people I have greatly loved to be honest. I am so sorry Lee didn’t feel that he could carry on any longer. So sad.

    @Keane Cyber Queen Supreme:
    I was wondering about that. I hadn’t seen a pic of him in a long time, but he didn’t look like the same person. I chalked it up to being much thinner than I remember. Maybe a little coke diet.
    That girl Isabella Blow off’d herself too. Used poison wasn’t it? She seemed like a real wild child, but you got to give her some credit. I don’t care what anyone says against suicide, it takes balls to do it with poison. It must be horribly painful.

    @Keane Cyber Queen Supreme:
    I know what you mean about being overwhelmed with life. It’s not like you exactly want to be dead. It is just so much trouble to keep breathing when you do nothing but continue to hit walls and everywhere you look there is injustice and inequality and just plain fuckupedness.

    That surprises me to hear you say he was shy. His hallmark was dramatic over the top sort of things including his shows.

    @Vittoria:

    She was very posh and very eccentric and didn’t make enough money to fund her lifestyle. That’s all I can really tell you about Isabella Blow. Lee was a drama queen with his clothes and his shows, but in person very down-to-earth and sweet I would say. Got to go to sleep now but just wanted to finish by saying:

    Long Live McQueen!

    You will be sorely missed.

    i heard that his mom passed away recently. the death of a parent is difficult. if his mom was a domineering force in his life it could have been a big contributing factor to this choice he made.

    I had a domineering parent, a month after their death i was suicidal, i worked through it. a few years ago i worked with a man who, a month after his mother died (he was an only child) committed suicide in the parking lot of the funeral home that took care of her remains.

    @kmg:
    Well that was really quite nice of him and you must appreciate that. I mean it was terribly civilized to go to the funeral home to do it. No mess on the carpet. Truly I think that was actually a very considerate gesture. I applaud your friend’s good sense in the midst of so much much pain.

    Yea, thanks Mooki! I know she’s worn a lot of his designs, but I thought the pearls on her face made her look like she had some kind of disease, it was ugly IMO

    @mooki:

    I highly doubt she will do this. It will look very bad for her when they announce the split. I can’t believe she is still talking about their relationship like they are still together, it is ludicrous. Unless this is how she thinks she can stop Brad from ending it though. This woman is a fighter, she thinks she can talk her way out of any situation and make the world dance to her tune. I have genuinely never seen another human being more determined to get what they want in my whole life. It’s like she thinks she can sweep away any obstructions in her way by any means possible: publicity, legal threats, anything. What does she think she is acheiving here though? She is not making anyone like her any more, which is what she desperately needs. She is just making people wonder at her extreme obstinacy and willingness to do anything, commit any immoral act, to save herself and her career. Katie Price in the UK is exactly the same. She is fighting for her career tooth and nail like Angelina is but her moves are so obvious she is still hated. Angelina is only marginally more intelligent than this woman. She cannot survive this but she will go down fighting it seems!
