Angie just does a much better job at taking the attention off of herself, while it’s written all over Brad Pitt’s face and his grungy beard that something is wearing at his core.

After already pledging $1 million to help Haiti, the very busy actress/humanitarian found time to go where she’s desperately needed, flying down to the distraught country to cheer up some of the kids there (insert “meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston drinks for a cause” joke here).

So how exactly was everything with Brad when she left?

“Very up and down,” dishes our source close to the Jolie-Pitts.

While our insider claims they are still together (for now), we’re told Brad and Angie’s abode hasn’t exactly been the most tension-free house on the Los Feliz block.

“She has been very moody,” fesses Deep Brange. Uh, not exactly surprising.

While Brad’s just been smelly as of late, we’re also told something else is slightly amiss, vibe-wise, with Brad and Ange. Pals who hang with the power couple admit that “you never know” what the feel and social ambience is going to be like when you’re with them.

“Are you walking into happy household or tension-filled household?” one Brange insider continued. “You just never know.”

As we’ve been hearing and telling forever, Brangelina is hardly Hollywood’s perfect pair. But clearly the pros (grotto sex, for starters) outweigh the cons, if they’re still making it work.

We’re gonna keep typing this until we get arthritis in our fingers, though:

We know he’s all dark and damaged right now, but we’ll start to believe Brangelina’s together and happy a lot faster if they look good together while doing it.

And Keane, I was amazed to read the statement about Jolie being there after the cameras stop rolling. That’s a joke. The cameras are ALWAYS rolling when she makes drops down from the clouds to sit at a distance from a refugee. And she leaves with the cameras.

I do think that what you said is right. If they would just admit they are human. If she would go on Oprah and say “You know, it’s tough. I have a hard time doing it all. I wish I could be a better mom. I have some regrets. I’m only human just like everyone else.”—that would help. But her touch-down in Haiti was more of the same, and the same is profiting off desperate tragedies. Why does she never stay more than a day in any of these places?

Also, I don’t know how anyone could take up for her decision to take her young son to Iraq for a photo shoot.
Maybe she really doesn’t see other people as real people but as extensions of herself and her image? I don’t know. If so, that would be a classic narcissistic mom, and the kids of those moms have problems later.

You just found a definition that nailed Pitt and Jolie to the wall like nothing before! “The ultimate prom king and queen who are the ultimate idea of morality and ethics and all human kindness”. I couldn’t have agreed more! If they just admitted they’d had an on-set affair like other Hollywood actors in history, they would be instantly perceived as humans and soon forgiven by everybody. In short, they would have ended up more respected than they are now – but no, they had to adopt a holier-than-thou attitude and throw Jennifer Aniston under the bus to look better in the public eye. They had to portray her as selfish, career-minded, self-absorbed woman who ignored her husband’s feelings and put her own wants above his wants.

Five years later, the damage is done and nothing can change the fact that there are people who will always believe that she was left because “she was not all that”. I’ve come across horrible insults against her, including one that talked about “her dusty and barren womb”. Those insults are the product of Angelina Jolie’s orchestrated campaign. When you read something like that, you simply have no choice but to get involved and so I did! I wouldn’t be a woman if I simply looked on as another woman was treated like that while her husband’s bitch of a year posed for the cameras as the perfect mother and humanitarian with all the babies her money could buy.

You see, the bitch doesn’t mind building stability for herself with another woman’s husband on a quagmire of scandal and personal tragedies but she insists on being remembered as a saint even if that means the truth will be buried for ever under a mountain of lies produced by her brother, her manager and her entire team on her command! Strange, isn’t it, how sensitive she is to her own feelings provided she doesn’t care about the feelings of anybody else! She seems to be the most sensitive bulldozer that ever “graced” the public eye: “I may have smashed, injured and robbed other people of their happiness on my way but I insist on being known as someone who cares about the world’s suffering.”

Then, a couple of months ago, I was horrified to read those pages in Ian’s book, where he tells about Jennifer’s miscarriages because that was the first time I realized how deep her trauma was and where Jolie’s campaign actually hit. Jolie knew about the miscarriages from Pitt and yet she resorted to the smear tactic. Jennifer has taken so much abuse from these hypocrites and their psycho fans and still takes it and yet she’s found a way to live and let go. She’s damned if she speaks and damned if she doesn’t! Given how much abuse she’s taken for nothing, she carries with unbelievable grace! Yet I’m sure the loons will jump immediately to yell that this is nothing next to the abuse that “poor Angie has endured for just loving” as if someone that manipulative and mean can love anybody but herself.

Pickwick I just wrote a post about the Haiti photocall on the other thread to the same effect. How is Angelina justifying this trip? What does she say she was there to do? They normally use the old chestnut that she is there to “draw attention to the cause” but we all know about this cause as we have had blanket coverage on the news. She can’t say it is to make sure the world doesn’t forget as it is so recent it is still in the forefront of our minds. So what was she there for? She has no authority or power in the UN, she is just an “ambassador”, like 50 or so other celebrities, one of them – correct me if I’m wrong – being Miley Cyrus. She has not been doing anything in the media with regard to fundraising like pretty much everyone else in HW. No, she considered herself too big to participate in that telethon, and didn’t want to come across as just the same as any other HW star. She had to separate herself out and act like the Queen of HW she thinks she is. So she waited a beat for the telethon to be over and the attention on people like George Clooney and Wyclef Jean to abate, and then she made her move. Last of all, so everyone would notice her. Previously she issued a statement through the CEO of one of her pet charities to the effect that “SOS Villages are there before and after the cameras stop rolling. So is Angelina Jolie”. That is actually what it said and to me it was breathtaking in it’s utter vulgarity. Why on earth would anyone seek to promote themselves when hundreds of thousands of people have just died? Who cares where Angelina Jolie is, before or after the cameras stop rolling (well apart from her obviously, she doesn’t do anything when the cameras stop rolling)? Why did she show up in the Dominican Republic today? Was it to get down on her hands and knees and start a 14 hour shift providing food and health care to the orphans? Was it to assess the situation and then return to the organisation she represents and spend weeks working on plans to help those in need and rebuild the city? Was it to decide how much more of her $100 million fortune she wanted to give to them and on what? I’ve heard this story reported in a number of news sources but no rationale as to why she was there. Perhaps one of her loon supporters or PR flack employees could enlighten me?

I’ve wondered why these two–angie and brad—annoy me so much. I mean—I don’t like Tom Cruise or Mel Gibson but I don’t read about them, either. So what is it with this couple? It’s not the jennifer aniston thing because I’m not crazy about jennifer aniston. She’s fine but I don’t think about her.

I think it’s the image they’ve carved for themselves as the ultimate prom king and queen who are the ultimate idea of morality and ethics and all human kindness. This morning is a good example. I watch the Today Show and they made a lot of Angelina going to Haiti for a humanitarian mission. She stayed the night. And then left. What was she doing? Drawing attention to the plight of the Haitians? I think there is plenty of attention and that isn’t a problem. Did she DO something? I don’t think so. They didn’t mention anything on the news that she did besides land her plane. It just smacks of what John Edwards did: flying to Haiti and making sure the news media knew about it and then getting out of there. That kind of thing just annoys me. Also, selling photos of your newborns when you don’t need the money. Promising it to charity and not giving it to charity. Adopting a child sounds so loving, but she adopts a kid who is already at least seven and changes his name at the same time she pulls him away from everyone and everything he knows. Why change his name? Why bring People magazine to photograph this very vulnerable child in his most vulnerable moment—his first night away?

Does any of that bother you at all?

I do understand where you’re coming from when you wonder why bash people we don’t know. If these two would just admit they are normal people who happen to act in films I think I could accept them much easier. They don’t want to admit they are even human like the rest of us.
