I knew it! I was thinking the exact same thing, there is no way this wedding is going through. She is one biotch – last night she was so rude on the red carpet and I thought Uh Oh! No way is this lasting, Run Russell Run!! That on top of her American Idol appearance and she has sealed her fate as far as Im concerned. And you know, I saw her live on Idol last year and she SUCKED big time, she cannot sing IMO and I thought it rich that she’s there putting down Kara (who is so famous and talented in her own right) and the Idol hopefuls that could actually sing her under the table, This biotch has had her 15 mins of fame, time to say bye bye
ReplyI would not be surprised. While their initial body language was very much in sync, within the last couple of weeks I’ve noticed a change & distance in the photos. Time will tell.
ReplyThis was always a fauxmance surely? Designed to make Brand appeal more to the American market, which at the moment seem lukewarm. He was quoted as saying “I’m only with her to make America love me”. Plus all those snaps of them at obscure locations in India where – correct me if I’m wrong – paps don’t really tend to hang out and the very sudden and public “engagement announcement” was a bit of a giveaway. I always thought he was in it for the press and she was in it to cover up her actual sexual leanings. And without meaning to be cruel, Brand has pretty much had his pick of women in the UK, and he has never found one he wanted to stay faithful to for more than about 5 minutes, and they were all much more attractive than her. That being said I actually think she is quite hot (like I said, terrible taste in women), although her music constitutes possibly the greatest offence against music that has ever been committed in my view. Oh and don’t even get me started on that “I kissed a girl and it got me some great publicity, but I ran back to my heterosexual relationship before things got serious” song. A gay icon she most definitely is not!

ReplyI like her voice in what she’s sung so far . . . I don’t know much about him. But, like most Hollywood/Entertainment industry marriages, I suspect the only people who consistently do well in them are the lawyers who do the pre-nup and divorce paperwork, and the publicists who get an easy ride for a while due to the attention and celebrity marriage generates.

ReplyRun, Katy, Run! You’re better off. I never knew what she saw in him. As far as I’m concerned, I have never thought much of Russell Brand as a comedian; in fact, I don’t think he’s that funny. I saw him as one of the interview subjects on the excellent documentary series “Monty Python: (Almost) the Truth”, and he babbled on so incoherently, I thought he must have been stoned throughout the entire interview. And the stupid prank he pulled on Andrew Sachs (Manuel on “Fawlty Towers”) on his BBC radio show was very inexcusable.
Anyways, that’s all I have to say.
