IUC Exclusive: Why the silence? Where’s Geyer?
It’s a rule of thumb that when tabloids cite unnamed sources for a showbusiness “exclusive,” most people assume the story isn’t true. Fair enough. The fact is that many of the more disreputable tabloids simply make up their stories and add credibility by adding a quote from a fictional source. I get accused of that all the time. Other times, reporters have no choice but to quote unnamed sources because they are often fed the juiciest stories off the record. It is a frustrating fact of life for entertainment journalists that people won’t be quoted for controversial stories for fear of reprisals, blacklisting or being cut out of the loop. But I received a very interesting email from a long-time Brangelina associate this morning at 5:37 AM eastern time with a simple two-word subject heading: “Where’s Geyer?” He included links to seven different media stories from credible outlets denying the recent Pitt/Jolie breakup reports. Each story had one thing in common: Unnamed sources. Each cited “sources close to actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie” or “multiple sources close to the couple” or a “rep for Brangelina.” But tellingly, not a single story so far has actually quoted a named source or spokesperson denying the split. The associate noted that on previous occasions, when media rumours emerged of an impending breakup, the couple immediately issued a statement to Entertainment Tonight denying their relationship was in trouble. In numerous other instances, they dispatched their spokesman and manager Geyer Kosinski to officially deny various untrue media reports. “Why hasn’t Geyer come out and issued a denial as he has in the past?” the associate asked. “Obviously he doesn’t want egg on his face when the rumors prove true. Geyer, by the way, is sticking with Team Angie after the split while Trevor [Neilson, the pair's philanthropic advisor who helped transform Jolie's image into Mother Theresa] is sticking with Brad. In fact, Trevor severed ties with Angie a long time ago and now officially calls himself Brad’s adviser, which should tell you something. Give him a call, he’ll confirm that.” DEVELOPING.

ReplyThat is the one question I have been asking since reports of the pair’s denial came out. Why no Geyer statement of denial? That is mainly why I believe this break up is true. Thank you Ian, for making that point so very clear to all who doubt this Toxic Duo is finished. The “fat lady” has sung her final song.

Yes well, Geyer knows what he’s doing! Bad press is better then no press and it sells magazines. They will work this up to a fever pitch and then AJ will definitely use it to her advantage, a cover story for 5 million in People?? A candid shot of her and the family in France sans Brad – 3 million maybe? They will make money off this as they always do somehow some way. Smart Geyer – he knows all the angles.

Angelina Jolie’s rep tells ET there’s no truth to the Internet rumors of a pending break up between the actress and Brad Pitt.
Jolie and Pitt got together after co-starring in the 2005 film ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’. The couple have six children together and reside in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Jolie and Pitt have not been seen on the red carpet this award season, noticeably absent from the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards. Pitt was present at the “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon on Friday night, co-organized by his friend George Clooney. The couple also donated $1 million to the emergency first responders Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontiéres.

Are there any other credible sites similar to this that I should be checking out?
And, what is the deal with “Ted Casablanca”? I’ve been reading his blind vice’s and b****-backs for a few weeks and don’t really find him genuine. Are his vices the real thing? It seems to me that he puts out these random stories and makes it look like a super famous celeb but in actuality its’ probably someone people care little about IMO. It seems like he can never give a real answer – is that bc he knows his readers are clueless to the truth??

This story about Brad buying a man-cave bachelor pad is picking up steam, although $1.1 million is not a lot of money for an A-Lister house in LA. Maybe it’s a handyman’s special. Boy these people own a lot of property. The idea that his mom is trying to keep the couple together seems a bit far-fetched though.

Replyit’s a nice commentary Ian. with all the stories coming out the past year, i don’t see the point to delaying the obvious. the sooner they make the announcement, the better. less lies. maybe we’ll start hearing more details on the Ho too.
Replyi really wish more journalists would be forthcoming with news of celebs, truthful information. i am quite certain the images they project are far from the real thing. i think these two are a good example of that. but i’m sure there are for more celebs with just as much to hide.

Uh, Tidbit, that’s kind of Ian’s point. He fully admits that people like him have to use unnamed sources and that people like you may choose to doubt him as a result. That comes with the territory.
But there is absolutely no reason at all for Brangelina’s spokespeople to talk off the record to deny the split unless they are afraid they will be exposed as liars.

ReplyHi Lizzy – its nice to have you here. About Ted, hmmmm. Well, my theory is that he is very entertaining but definitely under the “E’ gag order when told to keep it under wraps. As far as I can tell, this is what I think happened. Ted used to be quite vocally anti-Brange in particular Angie and used to post some wicked things about her. i.e. Fake Ala Ferocity. Then…….AJ and Brad snubbed Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, it was blatant, and that was the snub heard round the world!! Then all of a sudden Ted stopped posting about them, and when he did it was all so nicey nice, so a lot of us think they made a deal with E to shut up Ted and they would play nice on the red carpet again. Ted did not say one single word about the NOOW article on Monday (he only posts Mon-Fri), I thought it was ominously quiet in his corner considering every other news outlet was discussing it, even CNN Fox News and USA Today! But no E – very wierd. Then last night on E News with Ryan they said the story was BS and I said Ah of course, they are sticking in their corner. Thats my take on it. What do you think?

We’re starting to think there’s a bit of truth to author Ian Halperin’s book Brangelina Exposed. The rumors have been flying for a whole week, with multiple sources claiming Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have either split already, or that they are headed in that direction. On the flip side, sources close to the couple are denying the rumors.
But just this morning, Howard Stern announced on live radio that the stories were in fact true. He called into Rosie O’Donnell’s show “Rosie Radio” to talk about the state of Brangelina.
Though the transcript from the broadcast is not yet available, ONTD reports that Stern told Rosie Howard that they are no longer together.
Rosie asked Howard if he actually knew that or was just going off of the tabloids and Howard said that he did in fact know somehow. When Rosie asked how Howard could know these thing, he used the “I know people” line.
Howard said that even though Angelina Jolie is the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen that Brad should have known better since Billy Bob Thornton, a man who has a fear of antiques and only eats orange food, said that she had too many problems for him.

ReplySo …. the fighting is not confined simply to Brad and Angie, but to their immediate families as well. Then who is releasing all the information, and is it with the approval of Brad and/or Angie? Or is this a way to hold an intervention before one of them kills the other? Seems to me there is no valid reason for either Brad or Angie now to keep up the pretense as it serves no purpose for either, in fact it would serve them much better to publicly announce they failed in their efforts to become a unified family and are therefore moving on. Add the usual Please Respect Our Privacy addendum. In referrence to your Hatfield and McCoy’s thread Ian, a lot of people died in that war, lets hope Brad and Angie have the courage to end it now.

ReplyI saw some footage of them on the runway after they touched down. Kelly had her head mashed against his and then they were out of the plane handing out supplies.
It was really sad. They must really want some attention in the worst way.
Apparently AJ is so dumb she’s going to bad mouth Jen in an upcoming interview with VF. Man she really is stupid. This makes me even more certain they are over. She feels she has nothing to lose because letting anything negative about Jen come out of her mouth after all of the pain she caused her is one of her dumbest moves yet. This bitch has the nerve to say that Jen has been “hurtful” to her? Oh man this bitch is toast. I can’t wait for the backlash she will get when this comes out.

Trevor needs to come up with a good reason Brad Pitt is dissing his castmates besides he is baby sitting the brood. After all, they fly all over the place, can’t Pitt fly in for his castmates? That’s right. It isn’t ethical for any professional to provide any type of services like that (counselling, surgery, medicine, etc) to family members, as they are too intimately involved and cannot be objective and may make a mistake (medicine) or be biased (counselling).
Ah you just gotta love all of these “stories” that are coming out!! At least Casablanca has finally wrote something akin to the truth in his latest blurb about AJ and BP…. in response to a “Big Question”… wonder what his update tomorrow is going to be???
And I am so enjoying reading these posts in these stories – so obvious for months now that BP and AJ are over – almost all their photos show them bodies away from each other, looking uncomfortable and/or fakely smiling or looking unhappy.

Rumors have been hotter than ever that the oh-so-adored entity known as Brangelina is no more. However, myriad sources from Camp Brangie say everything’s peachy, too fab! But, we have not-exactly-great news on the gorgeous twosome ourselves, sorry.
“Something’s up…definitely,” ‘fesses our insider. Want to hear more? Well, cover your nostrils and proceed…
“Brad is looking horrible. Just horrible. He smells more than ever,” swears a worried friend.
Mon dieu! Why’s that?
“I’m not sure, exactly, but they are spending more and more time apart,” Deep Brange tells us about why friends of the power couple are starting to get quite concerned.
Brad, for instance, was recently without Angelina up in San Francisco, where our Brangie pal insists Mr. P looked, acted and smelled like “a wandering homeless person.”
Plus, it doesn’t look like the issue of separate locales is going to be reconciled anytime soon, with Angie heading over to Italy to shoot The Tourist with Johnny Depp.
