I like a bit of celebrity gossip as much as the next gal, don’t get me wrong.
But a person’s decision to get help for personal problems is to be commended and respected, therefore not something to be passed around as entertainment.
LOL Ian, great satire’. I love the book, it is opening the door for everyone to realize how psychopathic Angie is, and lead the way for family members to do something to protect the six children from this nut case. Keep up the great work Ian! You may save a life or seven.
Ok…Ian…I had decided to take a break from your site, but, come on.
Your book has been a complete failure!!!, so you need to do something to save your lost time with Brangelina.
Ok my comment about this post (If it is true!!!), despite of whatever people thinks about me….I don’t care If Brad is going to rehab…He deserves the life that he is living now, it was his decision…Who cares….God’s Justice!!!!.
People be aware: I think Astro is Angie herself or maybe Brad. How else does she knew if Angie was preggers??.. which she mentioned back about 1 month ago and we just read about it now on the tabloids. Is all over the news….Humm, strange….
Also although you may disagree thinking the book is about the tabloids let me tell you that the book has opened a lot of doors to posibilities and also the truth. There is ‘things’ in the book I didn’t know like for instance :
1) That Angie was labeled a psycopath by a school guidance councelor when she attended high school.
2) That she tried to commit suicide many times.
3) The lies spread by her manager about Jen Aniston not wanting to be a mother ever.
4) The Jennifer has a couple of miscarriages
Again ‘Astro or Angie’: I don’t hate you I just dislike you. Maybe someday I will accept that you felt in love with a man that wasn’t yours to begin with, but not today I can’t. I forgive you but I can’t forget. I am happy that Brad finally decided to take ‘therapy’ that proves that he is a man, not the half man people are commenting on. Maybe you should join him and take the kids with you, believe they are going to need it. Make yourself a better person, make ammends to the people you hurt. Call your dad, hell even call Aniston and ask her to forgive you, we only live this life and life is short, see what’s happening around you; people are dying. Your creator might call you someday and you are going to wish you did these things. Make your children proud, please have no more. Spend time with each one, and every day increase the amount of time you spend with them. They will appreciate this and then you’ll be idolize which is what you want, isn’t it? I know you are not afraid of dying you have said so many times but you didn’t said it right, it was twisted, meant to intimidate people, not showing compassion at all and it was perceived as ‘evil’. Change is good, you can do it. Maybe that day I will feel better about you and start to like you because love forgives, love is God and I am sure Jen probably will forgive you too if she hasn’t by now. Bless us all in this season.
By the way I’m getting the book for this holiday season as a gift by a love one. Can we all just get along? ..( at least till the season is over, ha, ha, HA!)

bb14. This article appeared in our Christmas Day edition, some might find it interesting, straight from the mouth of Ange.
Angelina Jolie hints that she and Brad Pitt have an open relationship – but with who?
.Angelina Jolie has hinted she and Brad Pitt have an open relationship.
The Hollywood actress raises six children with Brad. She insists there is no need to be monogamous when you are romancing someone, claiming it isn’t “essential” to a strong relationship.
She told Germany’s Das Neue magazine: “I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards. Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.”
The couple have been dogged by rumours their relationship is on the rocks in recent months. It has been claimed they have been fighting bitterly, with insiders claiming Jolie flares up like a “cobra”.
The 34-year-old star admits she and Pitt argue, but believes it is healthy to row with your partner.
“The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he’s wrong and reacts in a defiant way. Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt,” she said.
It has previously been claimed Angelina’s tempestuous relationship with her father John Voight was a result of his treatment of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand. He is said to have had an affair while with her, which Angelina could not forgive.
The actress and 46-year-old Pitt officially started dating following his split from wife Jennifer Aniston 2005. There had been claims they began a romance while shooting film Mr. and Mrs. Smith, while Pitt was still with Aniston, and he has since admitted he “fell in love” on the set of the movie.
My goodness….come on…you got it….I am in shock!!!!…..Somebody is right…English is my 5th language… I am not AJ…I am a very bad english speaker, that’s I am!!!..Come on!!!…I am not a fetish person!!!.

@marty:
Marty, though I agree with most of your points, I don’t quite agree that falling in love with someone who isn’t yours to begin with is a crime. There isn’t always a malicious intent there because love is often out of our control. It can happen to anyone – even the best of people are not immune to it. However, what makes a difference between a moral person and one who is not is the refusal to act on those feelings. Angie Jo made her emotions a priority over anything else (as if the entire world was supposed to turn around her emotions) and didn’t care how much she would destroy on her way.
The thing is I don’t even believe she was truly in love with Pitt. It looks like some crazy lust for power on her part. She knew that nothing – not even her acting pedigree – would raise her status to the level of a living Hollywood legend like becoming Brad Pitt’s partner, so she set her sights on destroying his marriage and the reputation of his wife. Not only did she want the man and everything that goes with him but she also wanted to come out smelling like a rose – not a home wrecker but “the woman who saved him” from suffering that hadn’t even happened in the first place.
I really like one comment that someone posted on the New York Times website after the newspaper published the article “Angelina Jolie’s Carefully Orchestrated Image”: “Just because you can have any man doesn’t mean you are entitled to all of them.” This is so short and so eloquent that it can teach a number of people about style when speaking or writing.
@Astro:
One can go furher: What would Brad Pitt do without Jennifer? What would he do if “Thelma and Louise” didn’t come along to save him from a decision he was about to make because he was so frustrated about his career going nowhere? And what if a gay pal didn’t talk him out of doing that awful thing?
Jennifer was already in “Friends”. Her career was rollin’ along smoothly. She was in on a ten year run. And she wouldn’t have to work anymore if she chose that.
That’s how JENNIFER ANISTON would have fared if she hadn’t met Brad Pitt!
@Alif:
I’m happy for Brad that he’s going into therapy. It can only help. He’s done some cruel things to people who got close to him. And the therapist will probe into the reasons why he chose to do and say the things he did.
There’s no shame in that. And it will help to make a man out of him!
JMO!
RC” I couln ‘t have say it better, thank you. I meant to say that ‘love’ has not boundaries and is blind and don’t need any reasons to exist, it just love however like you stated here we don’t act out on this feelings. I remember me growing up and my mother always told me” be careful since being attractive you will attract probably all kinds of undesirable and desirable men to you, you will be like a magnet’. I knew then and now what she meant. Can you imagine if I would have gone to bed with every single man I encountered in my life?.. I would have being ‘the greatest whore in town. Ha, ha, ha. But seriously back to you Astro: when you say you ’speak very bad English language’, do you mean while you were in the ‘Chaneling’ movie? Ha, ha, you know who you are and you started your comment admitting to it but then changed your mind and say you are not a fetish person. Humm??? I didn’t know Angie was one either? ..where did you get this info?
I am sorry. Maybe You didn’t understand the question or better I was not clear with the question. If Jen hadn’t met B. Pitt, I think that her life would be better, because in my opinion Brad was a bad company for her. She didn’t need him to be famous, she has been famous, lovely and talented actress without him & now he is a heavy load for her because a good part of the world has the focus in her past relationship with him instead of her career. That’s my point!

Thanks Ian! Our kate is fine thank God. Still in a lot of pain so she has had some of her family type some brief messages for her. We all know what a strong person she is though and that it won’t be long until she is back to her old self again. Hopefully she’ll stop in here to say hi some time soon. Merry Christmas to you and yours BTW Ian and to all the great IUC contributors of 2009. May 2010 be even better than this one!
Happy Holidays everyone, I’m so happy because finally I get to read the book everyone is talking about. I got it! I’ll let you know as I go my opinion.
Astro: I meant the ‘weird’ accent Angie had in the movie ‘The Chaneling’. The same accent she used in the other terrorist movie about the journalist that got kidnapped, I can’t think of the name of the movie, that’s how great it was. Strange movie, strange accent.
Oh, I remember now: ” A mighty heart’. She reminds me of Jennifer Lopez using the accent too in the movie ‘Hector Lavoe’ about the hispanic music legend. She didn’t need to use an accent because she already has a little hispanic accent from NY. The movie was great don’t take me wrong but a lot of people told me the accent was out of line. So same story with the Angie’s movies. Don’t use an accent if you don’t know how to do it. Not everyone is Brad Pitt.
True Astro, and it was said that Brad introduced Jennifer to smoking pot heavily while with him. Brad Pitt is a bad seed no matter what woman he’s with at the time. I believe he and Angie suit one another very well, and keep a decent person from being tarnished with their bull hockey.@Astro:
Marty, get a highlighter pen to mark the passages that you find shocking, or informative. I made an index in the back of my book with page numbers and a brief description of what struck me beside that. Easy reference.@marty:
I agree with you RC; Angie as we have newly discovered, is a sociopath and everything in her life is about her. To her breaking up Brad and Jen in order to seduce a known heavy toker into her world of sex, drugs, and nah, won’t say it….was for one purpose – To Advance Her Career And Standing In HW! To her Brad is an end to a means, nothing more. Remember the reports of how Angie and Mickey would make fun of Brad, call him a stupid rock behind his back? And that was in the early days of their, cough, cough, ..romance. She’s still bumping uglies with Jenny Shimizu as Jenny herself told a reporter, and heaven know how many others : animal, vegetable, and/or mineral? LOL. Angie is a mental case, a very good actor at portraying a normal, very confidant woman of the world in order to disguise her true identity which is that of a diagnosed psychopath bent on self gratification by any means. Brad was just plain stupid to hook up with that mess. It’s not as if all the warning signs and knowledge about AJ wasn’t out and about in HW circles…come on Brad…just how dumb are you? Don’t answer that, I think we have found out for ourselves.@RealityCheck:
@Astro:
Actually I became a fan of Anistons thanks to the loons. They made her so sound pathetic and clingy so I thought, if she is that hard up how is she doing her job? So I went to a few of her movies and was impressed. I figured if she was so upset and unhappy about Pitt she sure hides it well. Funny when you look at it now, Jolie is the pathetic clinging one. I hope she gets help too.
Dead On joanne. I too felt insulted for Jennifer over the campaign of rumors Angie began against her immediately after destroying her marriage to Brad Pitt for image purposes only. Jennifer AND Brad had just lost their second unborn child when this Ho began her campaign. Also, in that same vein, (no pun intended)… it does not make Brad to be much of a man does it?@joanne:
And to continue along that line, after reading Brangelina: The Untold Story, and discovering how very much Jennifer wanted yet lost two unborn babes, and how quickly after that time period Angie Jo-the-Ho showed off her very pregnant belly. Remember those airport photos of Brad, Angie, Mad, and all wearing black with Angie’s belly sticking out for all to see? You could see her huge cross tat that is on her pubic bone area. Now that was a direct jab to the heart of Jennifer…deliberately!!
pattyanne: peewee has never been much of a man from the start it is just that jen boosted him and made him look healthy clean and intellegent, where as holy jolie makes him out to be stuuupitt, dirty and balless as well as a complete moron. is’nt it funny that she will be known in history as the home wrecker as well as the manupilating biiiiiiiiiiitch and a actress that had to steal a manless peewee and pop out and adopt kids to become famous and peewee was always known by the strong women he was with and morphed into and now he will be known as a balless cheating lair and the man that aged 10 years in 6 and the care taker of 6 to 9 kids. they now fall in the same catagory as octomom , kate and jon as well as paris and those kind of celebs where jen has come out as the classy, independent and intellegent one who is cute and well like. that is what i call KARMA PAYBACK BIG TIME.jmo
Patty Anne, I’m sure that Brad told Angelina quite a lot about Jen when they got together (no matter how unnecessary that is, men tend to do it when changing partners), so Angelina must have known about Jennifer’s situation. If she was sensitive and humane enough, she could have delayed getting pregnant for a couple of years to spare Jennifer the pain of seeing another woman pregnant so soon with his baby in her place. But no, why would she? Ha! I guess that doesn’t happen in Hollyweird where ratings are more important than sensitivity. Getting pregnant as soon as possible to trap him into a long-term relationship was the first priority on her mind.
Honestly, five years ago, I used to think AJ was a total bitch for just boasting about the happy life she had found with Pitt, his great attitude to her adopted kids, how evolved he was because he found her pregnant body beautiful and so on. That, I thought, was too tactless for the situation as she talked and talked and talked about everything another woman had just lost in the public eye because of her. But now, with the new information about Jennifer and what happened in 2003 – 2004, I am even more stunned to realize how great AJ’s insensitivity was! There’s something nearly inhuman, mean and spiteful about the way she did it, though she knew damned well where it would hit.
I do suspect that Brad and Angie are true soulmates – they are equally insensitive and opportunistic. For once, the Brangelunatics are right – they have found each other across the centuries. He is a particular disappointment for me because I used to like him both as a person and an actor – he might be an insensitive prick but his acting talent is beyond any doubt. Jennifer has no place in this – she’s better off as far away from it as possible. I’m sure she will find a much better man someday – she’s one strong, classy girl and no-one can deny her charm, talent and intelligence. That seemingly humane viper AJ can’t hold a candle to her in hell.
@RealityCheck:
RC … can I just copy and paste your post and pretend it is mine??????? This is EXACTLY how I feel about this. I think you snuck into my head and pulled the thought right out of it. LOL. Well said.

Has anybody been on Amazon of late?
There are 12 readers’ reviews of Ian’s book on Brangelina there and I was stunned to see that the most negative, shallow, useless and vague of them were pushed by the website to the top as “Most Helpful Customer Reviews”. At the same time, the longest and best of all (written by a reader with the alias of “Emily Bronte”) is now completely hidden from view!
I wonder who the people behind Amazon work for if they made sure to hide that particular review! The woman who wrote it delivered such a brilliant speech on Ian’s book that if anyone managed to persuade me to buy it, that was her! It’s so long, intelligent and noble that I even copied and pasted it to a file on my computer.
Also, it seems that Amazon allows its visitors to bash those who posted a review that isn’t to their liking because some of the responses to “Emily Bronte” reminded me of “Just Jared” right away! It was sad and disgusting and scary to see the viciousness and freedom with which they attacked Bronte’s review.
However, she replied with dignity and the conviction of someone who truly believes in what she says because she has read the book and stands behind every word in her statement. It’s good to see that Barnes & Noble are far more serious than Amazon and don’t have this policy – you won’t see anyone attack anybody there.
Since that review may disappear from Amazon someday (as I said, God knows whose side the editors in Amazon are on and who puts an influence on them), I may paste it here as soon as somebody shows an interest in it.
@RealityCheck:
RC: I would like to read it if possible, please post it. I did go there myself when I was waiting for my Brangelina book and didn’t like those comments. You could tell some of these people haven’t read the book ; they are only relying info they got from other sources and that is not fair to the reader. But I’m not easily persuade and as truth seeker decided long ago that i wanted to read Ian’s book. I am taking my time with my copy, I am not in a hurry. Also I want to enjoy the ‘gossip’ that I see as positive gossip so far and informative. I haven’t read anything to the contrary of a journalist mission. I didn’t know that Jon Voight ‘cheated’ so much on AJ mother’s and that Marcheline somehow allow this since it says that that wasn’t the reason they divorced. See HW was into swinging those days and Jon and Marcheline weren’t strangers to it. How disgusting for a child to see your parents acting on this things. No wonder she is bi sexual today. She probably witnessed some of this behavior but I don’t know I wasn’t there. Bu as Ian’s referred to Angie and that to understand her one needs to know her story. I don’t think I ever would understand that ‘woman’ but I still reading so will see……..
Hi RC, that was my review(thanks for your kind words) they pushed it to the bottom because the others claimed that I was paid to write it. nonsense, but I made a complaint, twice to Amazon, many there do not even read the book, just comment. Someone on there realized it was me and they wanted blood. I stand by what I wrote and by each argument. I was in no way ever asked to write the review, influenced in anyway at all, and in fact as I stated I consider IAN decent enough to accept whatever I wrote, whether he liked it or not. He would have never asked me to write something favorably or otherwise imo because I am a loyal fan, and that was long before this book, I have read many of his books. I like to read and do so often, all different kinds of books, right down to Young Teddy Roosevelt. Book clubs are popular among my friends, we sit around and pretend we are Kate Winslet and company. wink wink
The book did exactly was it was suppose to do, and as we are seeing now, more than I even expected. hallelujah! Thank you again for you words of praise, I myself am a sloppy writer, unless I really put my mind to it. I had read the review the critic from USA Today had written and that was my inspiration, or it was infuriating, ha ha. Inspiring nevertheless. I hoped to give those who had not made their mind up or not about buying it a fair idea of what the book was truly about. I hope I did that. Typos and all. Should have had my lovely little child type that as well. That too shall all improve now in time,
Kate, you knocked me off the chair with your confession! I wouldn’t know that you were “Emily Bronte” even in one thousand years, but thank you, THANK YOU SO MUCH for admitting it! You are really, really talented! You are a real natural in expressing your thoughts. Reading your review was like reading a crime novel – I couldn’t wait for more to see what happens next! In fact, you are the person who convinced me to buy the book!
I will paste it below for those to whom I promised I would do it. Hope you don’t mind! I hope they will enjoy it as much as I did!

OUTSTANDING! SO GLAD I READ THIS FOR MYSELF!, December 5, 2009 – AMAZON.COM
by Emily Bronte
There is a principle called the Pinata Syndrome. Renowned publicist Howard Bragman likes to tell the story that the media says “What is the point of building someone up if we can not bring them down?” His first advice to A-list stars is: “Live a simple and clean life”. Well, little too late there for Brangie. Second piece: “Get your secrets out before anyone else does”. Ah, well, too late for that, too. This book is full of little sneaky surprises! I loved it! It is a fascinating read in the lives of two people who thought they had beat the game and were above the rules. They did follow some of the “Ten PR Commandments”. After all Brad is considered the Zen Master and Angelina is the best as remaking herself over and over again.
They know that PR-1 – all press is not good press – which is why right now the Brangie machine is trying to convince the masses this book is full of mistakes and no real news. I read so many accounts of what was in this before I read it, and when I did read the book I so surprised at how different it was and wondered, what book are these other reporters reading, or do they really read the book at all?
PR-2 – Perception is reality, as I will explain, one of the most shocking things in the book is how this commandment was used against Jennifer, it does not matter if it is true, Angelina knows if it is repeated enough people will believe it, and even today they still believe that Jen does not want children and that Mickey Brett is wanted for murder in another country. Both are lies.
PR-3 – The Vision Thing, Create a Brand, well they certainly did that, although as the book reveals who the mastermind really is behind this and who he has done it for in the past with great success.
PR-4 – The truth seeks it own level … eventually. If you are attacked with a untruth take comfort it will be revealed at some point, but if you plant a lie, and forget about it, you are planting your own landmine. As Howard says, when a president leaves office there is a rush to write tell-alls, when a star reaches A-list people write tell alls, and the books are fairly accurate, the truth, the ugly or not, inevitably surfaces … eventually. This book, ladies and gentlemen, is Brad and Angelina’s LANDMINE.
PR-5 – The Media will not wait for you. Example: Tiger Woods. Nuff said.
PR-6 – There is no wall between the public and the private, welcome to the fishbowl, you are always being watched.
PR-7 – The medium is still the message. A story is only as credible as the newspaper magazine TV show or blog (he states he leaks to the NE, and then denies it) LOL.
PR-8 – Energize your own base – Identify your core supporters and never forget them. A forgotten base can go like a jilted lover. Oh Brad, need we say more.
PR-9 – They’re only building you up to knock you down more. Don’t put yourself on a pedestal. Too late, should have listened.
PR-10 – Everyone has a second act. This Angelina knows only too well, and this is what the book is really about.
Public Relation Commandments by Howard Bragman.
I have followed this couple for awhile and I could not imagine there would be much in this book that would surprise me, but I could not have been more wrong. If I could be surprised, with as much as I knew, (I had been a devoted fan of one of them for a long time in the past) how can these reporters find nothing of interest?
I have read many of Mr. Halperin’s books and enjoy them because of his style of writing. He takes the reader on a journey, down a yellow brick road in a sense. In the beginning in almost all of his books he sets out on a mission to prove something, and in almost all of his books what he proves in the end is usually not what he set out, too. This is because he has a strong sense of fairness and compassion, funny at times, and others conflicted, and while I don’t always agree with his assessment it is that style and wit that draws me to his books. It personalizes the story also because he is in it as a central character. As the investigative journalist he also writes about what he is feeling and experiencing so you get to know the author somewhat, so anyone that has followed his work knows that he likes to rescue his subject. It was because of that I fully expected him to lead her down a trail like a lamb to the slaughter, and then ride in on a white horse and swoop her up and rescue her from the sword. Well, I was wrong, again, for the most part. He was compassionate and tried to understand ofter and look at it from each side, but swoop he did not.
Fair and balanced, yes he was, all the way through, and yet at times I could sense he felt a little conflicted , frustrated, respect for them, and a little disgust at other times. Those are some strong emotions for a book to reveal almost nothing, as one reviewer claimed. That is not true of course, I could write pages on things that are revealed. Let’s start with what one reviewer was bothered by, and see where it leads us.
Her first complaint was that there was little discussion about the Jolie- Pitt home life.Well, she is right about that, the book is not about their sex life or about what they eat for breakfast, or how they take a bath, or how big their bed is, or what their bedroom is like, or how the kids behave. He does not need to tell us any of that because Angelina has not shut up about it for four long years. Why I ask would we need an author to tell us the same thing we can google? He does tell us however how Angelina grew up as a child. He chronicles this quite nicely. He states on page 17 in the chapter titled “Daddy’s Girl” that to understand your subject, the logical place to start is at the beginning, and that is what he does.He takes us through her life, he used her words, he shows us how close she really was to her father, how much she loved him, how close the entire family was always, and yet she tells a completely different story today. In 2001 Angelina said, “I never remember a time when I needed my father and he wasn’t there.” Her kindergarten teacher, Rhona Mercer echos that, “he was always around”; yet in 2003, Jolie said “he was not there”. p. 23. That of course came after their estrangement. The only damaging comments come from Angelina herself, and that is because she can not keep her lies straight. Halperin does not call them “lies”, he is more of a gentleman than that, he refers to them as “misdirections”. However, let’s call it what it is. The New York Times called her manipulative, Brad preferred to call her savvy, but as you read this book you do not get savvy out of manipulative, misdirection, lying, calculating, dishonest, all you get is a picture of the extent someone will go to at the expense of another’s pain to push herself to the top and take what she wants. No dignity and no integrity at all.
Her second complaint was that there were only six chapters on Pitt and not much to say about him of interest, while we heard quite a lot about Angelina, and boy do we ever, things she does not want to tell you. There also was something about Pitt that was quite astounding besides him being a good old boy from the Midwest who loves and respects his parents, smokes a little pot, and is a good father. What is that? Well it seems he was furious when he found out that Angelina was the one who started the campaign to slander Jennifer in order to make herself look better. She knew that when the news leaked that they split and people suspected she was the cause, that she would be seen as a home wrecker again, and she was. What did she do, she began leaking stories with the help of Trevor and her manager to convince the public that Jennifer did not want to have children, she wanted a career,. This is in the “Brad and Angelina” chapter, page 223. The source is named, and worked for 20th Century FOX. Halperin discusses the nursery that cost $300 000.00 in the Pitt home that Jennifer was overseeing, the two miscarriages, and the fact that MSNBC was going to announce her pregnancy June 2004 before the second miscarriage. Then he reveals that Jolie released a story saying Jen was doing movies and did not want to have children and Brad did, that was his reason for leaving. “Pitt does not in fact seem to have been complicit in what was proving to be a mean spirited but effective campaign to shift public opinion against Aniston, Jolie, however, was. It was Angelina who came up with the whole story about Jennifer not wanting kids” a source connected to the publicity department of 20th century FOX , which produced Mr and Mrs Smith., She was convinced that is the story that would resonate with all these women who saw her as a man stealing bitch.” She was right, it worked, her Q factor began to rise. Trevor Nielson and her brother James Haven also helped her destroy Jen’s image, p.234. Today women still believe this, and today Brad still silently sits by and says nothing other than the two times he mumbled it was bull back in 2005. He has said nothing through out the four years of scripted BS that Angelina has shoved down the public’s throat, the pregnancy sex, the beautiful babies, the baby daddy and the barren ex wife. Nothing to tell in this book, if this was all that was in the book it would be worth buying, but this is just one small example of what is NOT in this book.
On to her next druthers, and that would be the sources. Now I know she did not read this book because had she this would not even be in her review as it was fully explained by a journalist that worked for the Hollywood Reporter. That is all I will say on that, it is on page 234, the first paragraph, and some of the names of the sources are listed on the page called Acknowledgment. I am a little bit surprised to see people saying that there are no sources names, I am wondering if they are going off hearsay. If one has the book, you can see the list of names, and it is fairly easy to match them with the source referenced – I could, and it did not take me long to do it, either. Also, if it is a help each of these “sources” signed a contract –they are “real” people, so the author has he has their name on a piece of paper with a statement. That is so he can use it as a back up if need be, and again, Mr. Hollywood Reporter explains this, I would think though since she is a journalist, she would understand how this works.
Undercover Missions: I had to check that one twice, serious? The author makes an acknowledgment to his business partner in the front of his book, and the name of the business is [...], so I would assume that this reporter for USA Today would know that this Mr. Halperin works this way as part of his persona. I had to chuckle a bit with that one. That is what he does? You know who Borat is right? Works something like that. Did anyone ever watch Columbo, I loved that show. He use to play stupid to get the goods on his subject. Sort of the same idea. You want to know colorful? I have a friend who once dressed as a hobo and slept with the homeless when writing a book about a murder, real case. Very effective, and dangerous, it is called investigative journalism. Police women pretending to be a hooker to catch a john. At least, he did not sleep with Angelina. Now, that would be a tell all. Something tells me that would really make her mad, but let’s get back to the investigation.
Alleged deceptions, no I don’t think there is anything alleged about her being in the psychiatric hospital. Now what is intriguing about that was she did not (obviously) disclose this on her applications for adoption, because if you go to the State Department web sites of those countries, (not Cambodia) you cannot adopt if you have mental problems, and she had as diagnosis of Psychopath (p. 38) still sitting in her file at file at Beverly Hills High school, where she was required to see a psychotherapist 3 times a week. How many people knew that, show of hands, I didn’t, did everyone reading this? I bet if I were to stand on 6th avenue in Manhattan and take a poll, no one would know. I bet I could get the same results in Hollywood, and in Paris, in Chicago, in Miami, just pick any city. Everyone knows she checked into a mental ward for 72 hours, that she hired a hit man to kill her, that she cut herself so bad and while having sex with her live-in boyfriend at 14, she had to be taken by ambulance to emergency, but a psychopath? NO, should we have guessed? Well, of course we should have. Would Mr. Halperin have gotten that if he did not go undercover, of course not. Would he know that someone in the audience at the awards said “Do you think she is f**king him?” when James pulled her to him and kissed her before she went to get her award for Girl Interrupted , no. p. 130.
He wrote a fair and balanced account of this couple. He gives them respect for being hard-working humanitarians, for loving their children, for being talented in their craft. No where does he state that the book is a TELL ALL by the way. In fact, there is a hint in one part of the book where he is researching the adoptions of Maddox and Zahara, and if one is well versed on this area and paying attention you will note that he asks some questions that are indicative that he left out the the “tell all” part. This is in the chapter called The New Image. I happen to agree with Roger Friedman, she is the Mighty Hypocrite, instead of a Humanitarian, this is where Mr Halperin and I part ways. He believes she is genuine in those endeavors. I do believe she was at one time, I do not now.
Infidelity, this is where he definitely left out the tell all in my opinion, but it is very easy to read between the lines. However, he certainly covers it well in regards to Brad and Jennifer. He details when the affair started, the cooling off period, that Pitt considered dumping Angelina and staying with Jen (that appears to be because she got pregnant but then miscarried) and the people that saw them making out, all of this of course long before he separated. Now I can tell you readers one person that this will be news too, or maybe many people it will be, and that is every person that was watching Larry King Live when Brad Pitt was on in December 2008 and he was asked what is was like to fall in love on the set, and Brad looked in the camera and at Mr King and lied like the cheater that he is, and said that it never happened until after he and Jennifer were done, and that what people did not understand is that they filmed for a year. He was referring of course to the series of filming that went on and the last series was two weeks in 2005. They began pre-production in late 2003, which is when they began the dirty hoochie, then stopped so he could go do Oceans 12 in April 04. They resumed filming in August – Sept 04, for about 2 months and then not again until February or March 05 for re-shoots for 2 weeks. Now mind you, a former employee of Pitt’s said, page 234, “Of course he was sleeping with Angelina most of that time, but he didn’t hide it because he was a prick,” the man said. “He hid it because he was too nice a guy. He didn’t want to hurt Jen. He still loved her, and he didn’t know how to break it to her. In fact, for a while there he genuinely thought of ending the thing with Angelina and going back to Jen. I’m not sure what finally happened or why he decided to end it, but would you rather he did what Billy Bob did to the Dern chick? Was he a coward for not telling Jen sooner? Probably. But what would you do in that situation? It wasn’t easy for him. I doubt if he forgives himself to this day.”
Ahh, another revelation, did anyone know he was thinking of dumping Angelina for his wife? I wonder how many people knew that little piece of information. I am sure we all knew he is a liar and a cheat. It is nice to finally see people come forward with it and verify it. This is not the only verification in the book either, there are others. I particularly liked the ones all chronicled nicely that showed how important it was to Jennifer to have a baby, how emotional she was about it. Who can forget her response to being accused of not wanting children? Still to this day you can not convince many otherwise, The well laid-out plans that Angelina orchestrated cannot be erased and Brad Pitt still has done nothing to try and repair that. The book reveals this quite nicely.
Revealing Theories, is one of my favorites because it is where so much could have been revealed to you by the reporter in USA Today, yet was not. Instead more more complaints that he did not talk to Brad of Angelina. When Harvey Levine created Celebrity Justice (he is acknowledged in the front of Mr Halperin’s book and he writes the Afterword in the back of Mr. Bragman’s book) his premise was to eliminate the fear and operate out of fairness.”Who cares if a big actor will not do a interview with us?” If we had a story that was fair and accurate, whether it was flattering or not, or MO was to call the publicist for comment, not permission.” Mr. Halperin did just that, they chose not to make a comment. They had three choices available to them, they could Press Agentry, Suppress Agentry, or Oppress Agentry. If they had nothing to hide they could have spoken to Mr Halperin and chosen option number one, but since that is not the case, moving on. Apparently a combination of Option 2 & 3 worked well in the case of Mickey Brett and that book never saw the printing press, but Mr Singer was not quire that successful with Mr. Halperin and many are now reaing this book, so I presume from what I am seeing in the the media the plan is to use Option 3 and try to Oppress Mr Halprerin in any possible way that Bangelina possibly can. I wonder if they have even read the book. He did do the knight on the white horse at the end of the book, and for both of them. I am guessing some of these people reviewing this book did not make it page 269.
In the Conclusion he asks WHO IS BRANGELINA? Of Brad he says this, ” Brad Pitt, the wholesome Midwesterner who charmed Hollywood and quite a few women is by all accounts a very nice guy. Angelina is more complicated to be sure, but she appears to have risen above her flamboyant and often troubled past and created stability for herself. Both are acclaimed actors and both are humanitarians. He goes on to say they are hard working and they have done extremely well in their profession, and they give back and use their wealth to influence others and do a lot of good. He admits they have used the smoke and mirrors of the Hollywood dream-making machine. to their advangage, and the clock is ticking . He hints that the truth of the matter has yet to be told, and yet there is still much in these pages that many do not know, have never heard. The chapter on “Billy Bob” is one that is so carefully laid out that if it was a closing argument the verdict would be a definite “guilty”, and the outcry from the galley would be one of shock, because I dare say, “to borrow that phrase” no one sitting in that court room would have heart that testimony. Maybe the media knew, but no one else. The chapter on Brotherly Love, and Brothers and Sisters, likewise most certainly would draw a collective breath of disbelief, except it is just so well explained and so believable, and while we knew the premise, there is so much that is there that is made crystal clear. Daddy’s tears suddenly and for no reason after all those years, what did he discover? So much for us as readers to discover that I hope Mr. Halperin writes a follow up book, “Brangelina: What I Didn’t Tell You and Why”. Perhaps that could be after this Fairytale in reverse is over.
@RealityCheck:
That is very sweet of you RC, I told you because many on here knew already and there are so many mistakes in it, and I wanted you to know I did go to bat with Amazon because I felt they were being very biased. Their rules state you can not write a review if you do not read the book, but it is clear many there do not read the book. I tried to make it clear I did read it, which is why I used page numbers and quotes and comparisons to the other review. Glad to know it encouraged you to buy the book. We all hoped the publisher would have allowed IAN to just tell all, but in retrospect it is truly an accomplishment just to get this out there. Pandora’s Box is open. Can’t put Genie back in the bottle, Brad should send IAN a box of chocolates at the very least. jmho.
I read recently, that the major book publishers will soon use the internet to sell their books. This should be good news for authors like Ian.
I, for one, have stopped shopping at Amazon.com. There are other places to spend my hard-earned dollars.
Well, at least until I learn they will stop co-operating with writing saboteurs.
?? Have anyone notice this? In this video of Jon Voight (AJ’s father) we can’t hardly see his lips on his face. Now adays Jon sports bigger lips specially the top lip. I always AJ inherited Jon’s lips since they are round and plump but if you look closer in this video he didn’t have lips like that. Botox anyone?

I like a bit of celebrity gossip as much as the next gal, don’t get me wrong.
But a person’s decision to get help for personal problems is to be commended and respected, therefore not something to be passed around as entertainment.
ReplyLOL Ian, great satire’. I love the book, it is opening the door for everyone to realize how psychopathic Angie is, and lead the way for family members to do something to protect the six children from this nut case. Keep up the great work Ian! You may save a life or seven.
ReplyOk…Ian…I had decided to take a break from your site, but, come on.

ReplyPeople be aware: I think Astro is Angie herself or maybe Brad.
Replybb14.

Reply@marty:

ReplyAt the Chritmas time, I would like to know, How would the life of JENNIFER ANISTON if she’d never met Brad Pitt?
Reply@Astro:
One can go furher: What would Brad Pitt do without Jennifer? What would he do if “Thelma and Louise” didn’t come along to save him from a decision he was about to make because he was so frustrated about his career going nowhere? And what if a gay pal didn’t talk him out of doing that awful thing?
Jennifer was already in “Friends”. Her career was rollin’ along smoothly. She was in on a ten year run. And she wouldn’t have to work anymore if she chose that.
That’s how JENNIFER ANISTON would have fared if she hadn’t met Brad Pitt!
ReplyTres amusant Ian. Wonder who is more in need of therapy these days – her or him?
Reply@Alif:
ReplyI’m happy for Brad that he’s going into therapy. It can only help. He’s done some cruel things to people who got close to him. And the therapist will probe into the reasons why he chose to do and say the things he did.
There’s no shame in that. And it will help to make a man out of him!
JMO!
@Astro:
ReplyAstro … I ADORE YOU!!!! (And I’m sure you are NOT AJ! LOL). Don’t leave IUC … I’d miss you! Merry Christmas.

I just watched that for the 2nd time. Ian, that is hysterical!!!!! Thanks for that post. I needed that laugh!
ReplyP.S. Kate’s Great! She’s practically throwing fastballs already!
ReplyRC” I couln ‘t have say it better, thank you.
ReplyAstro: by the way, how does it feel to have the leftovers? of Jen Aniston????? ha, ha, ha
ReplyIan! I just watched the ‘clip’, mennnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, is funnyyyyyyyyy. thanks
Reply@Alif:
Reply@Togi:
Thanks a lot….Happy new year 2010!!!!
Reply@marty:
What?
ReplyThanks Ian!
ReplyI liked it. So much useful material. I read with great interest.
ReplyHappy Holidays everyone, I’m so happy because finally I get to read the book everyone is talking about. I got it! I’ll let you know as I go my opinion.
ReplyAstro: I meant the ‘weird’ accent Angie had in the movie ‘The Chaneling’. The same accent she used in the other terrorist movie about the journalist that got kidnapped, I can’t think of the name of the movie, that’s how great it was. Strange movie, strange accent.
ReplyOh, I remember now: ” A mighty heart’.
Reply@marty:
Well, I don’t like AJ movies….So!!!
ReplyTrue Astro, and it was said that Brad introduced Jennifer to smoking pot heavily while with him. Brad Pitt is a bad seed no matter what woman he’s with at the time. I believe he and Angie suit one another very well, and keep a decent person from being tarnished with their bull hockey.@Astro:
ReplyMarty, get a highlighter pen to mark the passages that you find shocking, or informative. I made an index in the back of my book with page numbers and a brief description of what struck me beside that. Easy reference.@marty:
ReplyI agree with you RC; Angie as we have newly discovered, is a sociopath and everything in her life is about her.
Reply@Astro:
ReplyActually I became a fan of Anistons thanks to the loons.
Angie also used that weird accent in Alexander. She appears to be a “one-accent” actor.
ReplyDead On joanne.
ReplyAnd to continue along that line, after reading Brangelina: The Untold Story, and discovering how very much Jennifer wanted yet lost two unborn babes, and how quickly after that time period Angie Jo-the-Ho showed off her very pregnant belly. Remember those airport photos of Brad, Angie, Mad, and all wearing black with Angie’s belly sticking out for all to see? You could see her huge cross tat that is on her pubic bone area. Now that was a direct jab to the heart of Jennifer…deliberately!!
Replypattyanne: peewee has never been much of a man from the start it is just that jen boosted him and made him look healthy clean and intellegent, where as holy jolie makes him out to be stuuupitt, dirty and balless as well as a complete moron. is’nt it funny that she will be known in history as the home wrecker as well as the manupilating biiiiiiiiiiitch and a actress that had to steal a manless peewee and pop out and adopt kids to become famous and peewee was always known by the strong women he was with and morphed into and now he will be known as a balless cheating lair and the man that aged 10 years in 6 and the care taker of 6 to 9 kids. they now fall in the same catagory as octomom , kate and jon as well as paris and those kind of celebs where jen has come out as the classy, independent and intellegent one who is cute and well like. that is what i call KARMA PAYBACK BIG TIME.jmo
Reply@marty:
ReplyIt’s a page turner. Fun to read!
Bravo~! so very well said!@jan/sa:
Reply@Pattyanne:

ReplyYou are welcome, buddy.

Bravo RC!!
ReplyHas anybody been on Amazon of late?

Reply@RealityCheck:
ReplyI’d like to see it, RC.
@Togi:
OK, Togi, I will post it here tomorrow because it’s late where I am now.
See you again.
Reply@RealityCheck:
ReplyRC: I would like to read it if possible, please post it.
@RealityCheck:
That too shall all improve now in time,
Reply@Kate:
Kate, you knocked me off the chair with your confession! I wouldn’t know that you were “Emily Bronte” even in one thousand years, but thank you, THANK YOU SO MUCH for admitting it! You are really, really talented! You are a real natural in expressing your thoughts. Reading your review was like reading a crime novel – I couldn’t wait for more to see what happens next! In fact, you are the person who convinced me to buy the book!
I will paste it below for those to whom I promised I would do it. Hope you don’t mind! I hope they will enjoy it as much as I did!

ReplyOUTSTANDING!
ReplyTogi and Marty,
VOILA! That was it. ENJOY!

ReplyThat is very sweet of you RC, I told you because many on here knew already and there are so many mistakes in it, and I wanted you to know I did go to bat with Amazon because I felt they were being very biased. Can’t put Genie back in the bottle, Brad should send IAN a box of chocolates at the very least. jmho.
Ian, check this out. There are Angeloonies on the genealogy forums…

ReplyMaybe we’re all related to Madonna & Angelina Jolie?
ReplyI read recently, that the major book publishers will soon use the internet to sell their books. This should be good news for authors like Ian.
I, for one, have stopped shopping at Amazon.com. There are other places to spend my hard-earned dollars.
ReplyWell, at least until I learn they will stop co-operating with writing saboteurs.
ReplyI am talking about the video call ‘Jon’s Many Religions’.
