I like the cover, lol, they used an old photo and a recent one of her. Looks like the title changed to: Brangelina:The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Is that what is says, so no more Brangelina Exposed. Did the publisher not like that one? I thought that was a great title.

You’re right….When the book comes out, It will be noise for two or three weeks after that nothing will happen. Brangie will remain together.

You are forgetting that book tours keep it going, and so do the tabloids, and so does the internet. Then there are the various countries , where they are not popular. You believe because you adore them that they are loved worldwide, that is not so. Some people love Brad and hate her, and that will come into play. Ian’s interviews will also contribute. He was still doing MJ interviews 5 months after the book was released. I have to respectfully disagree Astro, this is not going away in 2-3 weeks, it will linger on, and then it will be Andrew Morton’s turn. When big stars lie, they fall. That is why their publicist tell them to get it out there in the beginning, don’t let someone else out you first. Brad was stupid to not admit his affair, that alone is going to make him look like just what he is ..a liar. He sat right there on Larry King live when he questioned him and said, “no Larry, that came after, that came after”..then Angelina for whatever reason (maybe she was pissed at him) came along and disputed that, and made it clear they were doing the boogie long before. Even then, when he was questioned as late as Dec 2008, he lied again. Do you honestly believe that people are just going to give him a free pass on that. Even if Jen knew, that is not the point. He lied to his public. He forced his wife to deal with it. For that many will not understand. I suspect IAN will have more compassion in the end for Angelina that him, and all of you that are getting in a tizzy, are doing so for nothing. He is not the big bad wolf trying to much down on little Red Riding Hood. He normally tries to save the poor little thing. If you had read his past books you would know that. If he deflects from that this time, I will be surprised. He is always fair to his main character, and that is the Dumbed Down White Trash Ho of this story. sorry, just what I think. She may have built herself up, but she did it using others.

ReplyAnd please can I just give a huge shout out to Life & Style magazine who have been the first mag to finally call a spade a spade! What I think is happening now is they all know this story is about to come out and they are all trying to scoop Ian. They all know what she’s really like they’ve just been afraid to kill the golden goose. Now someone’s taken the plunge and is going for the jugular (many congratulations for that Ian), they are all afraid of being left behind. Watch them all fight over being the first to break this story, see who can get it out first. As I’ve always said, journos are loyal to the story, never to any particular individual. It’s about what sells. So good luck Angelina and Brad over the coming months is what I say, you will need it. And in the spirit of all good essays, I would like to end on a quote:

Lol Re: Brad’s beard, it has occurred to me that he is trying to disguise himself as another person so the whole world will forget he is actually the entity formerly known as Brad Pitt, and as one half of the epic fail that is Brangelina. It’s like: “hey I have a beard now and am dressing in black so you can’t see me now right, right? I’m not here really, that Brad Pitt guy, he was someone else, don’t even know him. ReplyAggie, the pic does Brad a favor, but I wonder if the reason he is working so hard right now to nail down a new director for Moneyball is because of the book. The beard seems to mimic Col Percy Fawcett , yet he is going fast and furious with meetings with these two new directors Marc Webb and Bennett Miller ,who both want in on this film, and it is ready to go. He could be filming about the time the book hits. Otherwise he has to find another way to deflect. More trips to the grocery store, Toys R US, Date outs, those are not good, all the paps will be screaming questions at him. At least on location or filming he is locked away and protected. lol

Jolie spread rumors that Jen favoured her career over kids? That`s nonsense! It was actually Jen`s ACTONS had CREATED the rumors both on the internet and in tabloids! Fact is Jen said she wanted to start a family – but instead she signed up for several movies in the spring of 2004! Rumor Has It and Derailed were both filmed in 2004, while The Break Up was filmed in the spring of 2005 and let to a romence between Jen and Vince BEFORE they were officially divorced in August 2005.

Referring to the new Life & Style Weekly article her is my opinion!
Ah too bad that the Life & Style story is incorrect! Fact is that Jolie has ADMITTED to having nannies! She just said that noone stays over night.When the twins were born she said that they may have to change that! By the way show me a hollywood couple that has no nanny! I doubt you will find one – especially when BOTH parents work – as do millions of other parents around the world!
Jolie said that she will do less movies – maybe one movie a year! She never said that she will quit immediately – I mean for Christ`s sake she is 34 years! Who stops working at 34? If I was her I would make movies as long as the salary is high enough to support her lifestyle! Anyone would!
Fact is also that other families like Matt Damon and his wife and kids move aroud too whenever he does a new movie. And so does Kate and Suri who follow Tom Cruise and vice versa! Sme actors are just less in the tabloids but that does NOT change the fact that they employ nannies and move around!!!
Fact is that 50% of all marriages end in divorce – and in most cases because one or both spouses cheat! I never understood why everyone screams murder when it comes to Brangelina but couldn`t care less when another actor couple cheats and splits or even when this happens to their own neighbours!
By the way show me a couple were BOTH parents work that has more freetime than Brangelina who work maybe 6 months in a year! Anyone else can just dream about having that much freetime and time for your kids!

Lol And with regards to your erm, “arguments”, for one I don’t think the issue is whether Angelina has nannies or not, it’s how many she has, the fact that they provide 24hr care for the children and that they rarely see their parents apart from at scheduled photo opps that’s the problem. This is quite well known in the media now, the poor kids are going to grow up thinking the paid staff are their family, not Brangelina. The other issue you mentioned about the fact that she keeps saying she’ll take a year off or leave HW for good, well the problem is not how many months of the year she is or isn’t working, it is simply that she is lying. Angelina’s people have advised her to keep saying it to explain why she keeps on working when she has just had/bought more children. Unfortunately though her people are quite stupid as when Angelina keeps saying one thing but doing another, the world does notice! It’s the lying and the hypocrisy that’s the problem, not that she employs nannies or works less than the average parent. When you say one thing to get good press and do the exact opposite it makes you look something of a fraud doesn’t it?

ReplyI think there is some kind of passive-aggressive thing going on with Katie Holmes. He’s a control freak–I read he has his sister supervise her and her shopping—and the way she gets back at him is by not trying to hide how miserable he makes her life. What’s he going to do? Hold her down and put makeup on her? When she isn’t in town with him and shows up somewhere, she tends to look great. When he’s around, she’s looks pale and drawn.

I don’t really care much about what is going on in their relationship (except when they tell big obvious lies or do things like that insensitive “W” photoshoot) but I do take issue with the way they seem to circumvent the laws of other countries by flashing some money around. And I really suspect they come out way ahead with the public perception of their charity work vs. what they would be spending on travel and housing if they didn’t have that tax write off.

ReplyThis is my first time posting here… I have long been blowing up the truth about AJ/BP over at Ted’s Awful Truth and have delightedly exploded some heads back in the days when people were still heavily under the drug-like sway from these two thoroughly duplicitous individuals. I live and work in Hollywood, and also have worked at UN. I always knew AJ was a giant symbol of something much bigger than herself and in all the most horrid of ways: She truly symbolizes how our entire culture is entranced and transfixed with the picture of a life, the image, instead of *the truth*. (ahem, Mia. It is rather evident you are Missing In Action from your own life, indeed. Feel free to spaz out at this–but I am an author who has freely helped thousands of people just like you. I know the signs well.) Hence the bottom line is that this entrenched denial and numbness combined with questing for all the most vapid things, is very much why an entire generation of kids are self-destructing = and this is the reason I have given my life and sacrificed everything to help them + our overall glaringly obvious societal implosion, be helped off the cliff at this most critical time. AJ/BP’s (or Nadya Suleman or Gosselin’s etc) children are deeply indicative of an entire generation: children are not pawns, accessories, or possessions. When people have children to satiate their own agenda, it is always diastrous. And that is why children are currently drowning in themselves in record numbers. As well as mass shootings every other day… people are very far gone because the blind have been leading the blind in a myriad of ways in our culture.
However, my primary reason for posting here is to say KEANE I HEART YOU. Your wit is scathingly, lovingly, joyously fantastic. Way to nail it every dang time. Brava. I honor and celebrate that you exist. Thank you for bringing me such sunshine as I work for the world.

ReplyTo my eyes, they are basically telling everyone it’s over. Looks almost like they’ve given up trying. The whole Cannes thing felt very forced. I thought AJ was really trying, though. Looked like she was trying to hold up her end of the bargain. He looked bored and aloof. Guess she decided that if he wasn’t going to bother acting like he liked her, she wasn’t going to play the game anymore either.
This just seems like an announcement: “Ian’s book is coming out. Then Morton’s. The game is over and we can barely stand next to each other.”
Anyone who can’t see that body language and understand it just have some weird reasons to want to keep believing in the relationship of two Hollywood celebrities in 2009.
I think that’s why I even end up paying attention to these two. It’s just so strange that people fixate on them as though they are religious figures. They’re just people. Bad people, good people, troubled people, sad people, whatever. This is one of the few places I can come to see people who understand that these are just two very wealthy, overindulged human beings. Brad is a decent actor who has done some good films and appears to have a sincere interest in architecture as a hobby. Angelina—bad actress, (sorry) in bad, violent films. I really wonder if her interest in the UN stuff is …sincere?

Let’s get real. These two are finished. Whether they front for the cameras or not, they are though. Brad finally got what he deserves. He left his wife for a women who wanted to have a family with him at the drop of a hat. Jen wanted to put the family thing on hold to do her movies. She said she wanted to give her career a change after Friends in an interview with Diane Sawyer. Pitt cried on Oprah about it and then got with Angie. Only to find out she wanted to collect kids and used them as pawns. She doesn’t see them as people. She is not going to give up her career for a family. She just adds kids between going to a movie set or a UN meeting.
Notice you mostly see her adopted kids more than her biological kids. So we are reminded what a good person she is by caring for the forgotten colored children of the world. Recently you see her with Shiloh but there aren’t many baby pics of her. She likes to walk around hold their hands and go to The Gap , Toys R Us, or some other store for the regular folks. Or she is in People Magazine fighting for refugees (like if you really cared about refugees you would be in People and not a political mag?) WTF?

She probably uses the children as a way to keep him since she couldn’t keep a man herself until she had/bought kids. Of course Brad could use her drug use against her (high at Cannes 09 and at this art museum gala) but he is known (and been photograph) drunk and admitted to smoking illegal substances himself.
I hope they continue to tear each other down and be the laughing stock of HW. Soon it will spread to the world. Maybe the kids can be cared for by Brad’s parents cause these too need help and are unfit.

ReplyOf everything that’s been said and done, the one thing they can’t seem to fake is the body language. I can’t help comparing theirs to his with Jen and the difference is unmistakable. Even when Jen and Brad were breaking up the love and respect they had for each other was clear in their body language, they had fun together, they really “liked” each others company. With AJ and BP though, it looks like they cannot stand each other, they can’t even be in the same room. There is no way these two are still together, at least not physically and mentally it looks like they hate each other. Brad just looks pissed off most of the time, he is really angry with her.

ReplyWell, there are many many long term marriages in HW that have lasted under this pretense, and I don’t mean the ones that are set up for a movie premiere, I mean what people would consider real marriages with children, based on a quiet understanding between both parties. It’s been said for years that John T and Kelly P are one of them. It works for them so its up to us to respect that. I think Jake and Reese fall under this category. ReplyI’m pretty sure Jen was and possibly still is genuinely distraught about the breakdown of her marriage. She strikes me as a genuine person with genuine feelings for people and whether the relationship was working or not or whether she was more into women than men, I’m sure she still loved Brad and was torn to bits by him leaving her. Not everyone in HW exploits their personal life for publicity, there are plenty of actors who don’t. And if she did or didn’t go for counselling I highly doubt we would know about it! Counselling generally isn’t a 24/7 thing, people usually fit it in around working, which is what Jen has done. How else was she supposed to have any sense of normalcy – by sitting at home by herself? Great! And as for the bit about not immediately having chidren and wanting to have some fun and get the most out of your life before devoting yourself to children, well all women do that nowadays, which is why women are increasingly having children in their late 30’s and 40’s. I don’t want to have children until later in life – doesn’t mean I don’t want to have them, just want to make the most of not having any responsibilities for as long as possible. The whole idea that Jen not having children when the world wanted her to showed she cared more about her career is utter nonsense. Like most women the world over she was simply choosing to enjoy her youth for as long as possible before settling down. Can’t believe people still peddle this nonsense about her!

Paul Newman was teased about he and Redford being an item back in the Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, days. He always responded with good humor, which deflected the rumors. Same as what John Travolta does, nowadays.
But the main thing I remember about Paul Newman, is that he seemed an all-around good guy. He ususally made sure the minorities in his flicks came out as decent human beings; esp. after he had more clout in the industry.
I also remember the terrible blow he had to deal with when his beloved son died.
Then there’s the incredible charity works he did, without the media show. And all the proceeds from his endeavors going to charitable causes. Quite the man, and a great credit to his industry, imo!

How thoughtful of Brad Pitt~! He just flew over to France for two days before returning to LA, to sign papers purchasing the place next door to Miraval that George Clooney had checked out. ReplyPaul Newman was one of my favorites. I loved the movie “Cool Hand Luke.” One of the best movies I’ve ever seen. And yes, PN was quite a man. All that charity work … and he didn’t even wear a saint’s hat. Never walked around with that neon sign flashing “Look at me! Look at me! Aren’t I such a wonderful person?” I think there still are some celebrities out there like that … the ones we don’t hear about, and wont’ hear about, until they’re gone.

ReplyPaul Newman was real. He cared, truly cared, and thus did something to make a difference to ALL, not one. He was a real humanitarian in every sense, and didn’t need to take a truck load of photogs with him to ensure it would get into the papers to boost his ego like some (AJ) we know of. He will be missed, but i think Joanne will carry on his mission.

In case you didn’t know this, Newman’s Own TRULY donates all profits to charity – at the end of each fiscal year all profits would be donated to charity and Paul lent the company the funds to start the next year. I’m guessing that he made some provision for his estate/heirs to continue doing this.

ReplyWhen looking at the photo of Brad used on the book cover, it’s a major reminder of how much he’s changed for the worse in the four years he has been half of the Toxic Duo. Seems he’s paid his dues for his lack of character and moral values. Now it’s the kids i am concerned for, they will grow up emulating the custodial parent, considering how Angie tosses them to the army of nannies to raise, perhaps that will turn out to be a good thing.

Just yesterday, Australian Senator, Nicholas (Nick) Xenophon has called for a Senate inquiry into Scientology.

I was watching a U2 video today and it was for a song that apparently had gone with some AJ movie. I think the video woman tomb raider. It got me to thinking that Bono and Edge are both married with children and you don’t see the trips to ‘Toys R Us’ and the grocery stores and pet stores with the calls to the paps ahead of time. I’ve never seen Bono’s children. And he loves to give money to charity and he does stuff for the UN. But he doesn’t sell his kids for the cash.

It was Jennifer Aniston who first introduced Brad Pitt to Bono, and went to Ethiopia with Brad to help in some way. There was no huge PR release, it was a relatively quiet humanitarian effort. While there, Jen fell in love with an AIDs orphan, but Brad wasn’t up to adopting at that time. Strange how time changes things where Brad is concerned.

ReplyI thought the next project was Moneyball, which is now in development hell as there were problems between producer and director. I think BP was inked to play Billy Beane, but I don’t think a billy goatee would be part of that role. Maybe it was another role?
I believe the film is titled “The Lost City of Z” and he’s set to play Col. Percy Harrison Fawcett, who wore a goatee such as the one Brad has grown.

There’s been a lot of discussion about Brad Pitt’s bushy beard lately. Some people think it looks great, some people aren’t keen on it but still think he looks just fine, and a lot of people flat-out hate it. I fall into the middle category; I’m not crazy about his beard but I don’t think it changes the fact that he’s a seriously good-looking man

Moneyball looks like it is about ready to go. Sorkin is adapting still and they have not announced what came out of the meetings these last two weeks Webb and Miller, but one of them will most likely be the new director.
Brad is producing LCZ so if James Gray is not ready with the adaption (and apparently he is still working on it) then he has some flexibility there to take other projects while waiting, Does not look as though anyone else has been cast. However on Nov 15 it was still listed as in the development stage, and on Nov 17 it was updated to pre-production, so maybe this one will go before Moneyball. Considering he still has the beaded beard that would be my guess.
Interesting timing on “Fight Club” being released on Blue Ray. He certainly is not slowing down in the production area picking up new films pretty frequently.
So, if Bradley is jetting off to Brazil, and Ang has to start The Tourist , (filming), February, that does not leave a whole lot of time for staggering the films, does it? She may be required in January to prep as she did for Salt. Sounds like a solid plan to dodge the bullet of “The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie”

ReplyI have being praying for those children since she first got them and still pray that they come out OK. I don’t forsee suck luck for AJ. or Brad because ‘what goes around comes around’ and ‘you cannot build happiness over someone’s misery’. It won’t work. I knew there were together since before the movie MMS and they both didn’t take in consideration Brad’s serious vows to another woman. Sometimes things happen but you don’t go adding children to your miserable life to mask some real issues lying under this relationship. Those poor children being dragged to airports in the middle of the night or early mornings doesn’t cut it. For what? A few minutes of satisfying sex? ..and the other thing, I think they are also into drugs. How else would you explain leaving a beautiful woman for another beautiful woman unless that woman got somehow the ability to adquire drugs, leave the country and go to another where they are more leviant about this issue. No the US, here you will be arrested here or you will pay the consequences. I believe those flying days were use to ’smoke’ and who knows what else. I hope I ‘m wrong for the sake of those children.
