IUC Exclusive: It’s Raining Jolie Books
Just wanna be clear. I have utmost respect and admiration for Andrew Morton, the famous British author who is penning an Angie bio for winter 2010. Morton is one of the best ever in the book biz. I urge all my readers and friends to give both books a read. In fact, my Morton sources tell me our angles are completely different. I always say the more the merrier. Two perspectives is always better than one. Here’s to a bestseller for both books. Originally, my project was a documentary but my publisher insisted on a book because of the explosive information I uncovered. At the time, I had no idea that Morton was writing a book on Jolie and when I found out, I tried to back out but my publisher held me to the contract. Below is a pic of Morton, glosslip editor/good friend Dawn Olsen and myself at my film premiere back in March 2008. Stay tuned!

Just seeing your posting tells me the fact that there will be THREE BOOKS within a year , all outing Brangelina for what they are is very disturbing to you. Hey IAN! Nice picture, glad you cleared up the release dates as well. Looking forward to reading Exposed, I still chuckle over some of your comments in of your other books. Right PA two different styles! rockin on!
Knowing that the three of you up there are chummy, I have to wonder if this was not part of the plan. Didn’t Dawn introduce you two years ago? Just teasing of course, but it does put some of those rumors to rest for Morton that Angie is really working on his book with him a threw him the nasty crumb about her mommy’s boyfriend to make it seem she is not part of it, to get her side of things in the story. He has said that is not true, months ago though. You know him though..getting back to part of the plan, spacing the release of the books out, keeping the hits coming does make it much harder for Angelina to rise above any of it and try to shrug it off. I wonder if she has found herself a public relations flack . Trevor , can he handle this? He has not done so well so far.(at least no these last two years) He keeps breaking all the rules, or she does. Way too many revelations for her to just stand with dignity and address them and ask for forgiveness, and hope the fans will forgive and forget, not with a laundry list. She has gone from someone who got all her secrets out there so they did not imprison her to someone who has created a Alcatraz for herself and Brad , and those adorable rag tag kids. What a shame. What a tangled web we weave..
On the bright side however, she, and Brad can do what Rob Lowe did, hide out, and understand that in time and all the books have revealed all the secrets and lies (they were very foolish to think they would not come out) they can then go on with their lives, but like at least one of their mamas told them, “the truth will set you free!” Amen to that.
This could be good thing. All of this is just my opinion of course..:)

Do I need to remind what “truth” in your eyes is? “truth” to you is everything that Ian /SR say and that supports your harted for Jolie. The more disgusting and sordid – the easier you believe it not needing a single proof nor a single story that turned out like it was predicted. Mia – you are aware that this is not exactly Ian’s first book or the first time he has had to face the threat of legal action right? I think he knows a wee bit more about it than you my dear – well who doesn’t really. But thanks for bringing the issue of possible legal action up because we will then of course be able to see for sure whether Ian is right or not. If he is not Angelina will sue in a court of law and win won’t she? So we will all then know exactly where we stand and you can come and gloat to us about how “Ian makes up a pile of crap and you suckers lap up everything he writes etc etc”. It will resolve everything. Until then, I’m not really sure what the point of your relentless, tireless insulting of Ian and every other poster here really is? How many more ways can you think of to say “Ian is a liar, I hate you all, I am going to tell the teacher etc” hun? Not many I would have thought. Em the only problem with this is that I don`t read the Sun, the Star, or the NE. And I spit on the sort of “research” that Ian supposedly does! If he did then why did his Micheal Jackson book consist – at least to those amazon readers who reviewed it – to a large portion out of trial protocolls who were replayed almost WORD FOR WORD on tv at the time of the trial? Tell me what was Ian doing for 5 years when he based so much of his book on already released well-known material and filled the rest with unproven claims?
I don`t care who Jolie slept with at 16 – I blame Marcheline ex-boyfriend who was a grwon man at the time probably at least twice her age, nor i I care if she has relationship troubles – that would be HER troubles that SHE needs to resolve, nor if Brangelina are going to split – no way are you not going to hear about that anyway. Nor do I make it my business and life goal to “expose” a stranger that I have never met and that hasn`t done anything to me.
I happen to like some of her movies, think she has done a good job as an UNHCR representitive for the last 7 years or so – at least she isn`t spending her entire freetime in restaurants and spas. But each to his/her own.

Astro, they have known about the book, all of them for a very long time. TMZ changed the way publicist did biz for stars. No longer could they white wash things for them, and thanks to Pellicano no longer can they play dirty. So now it is a matter of “how do you want to do this?” see..that is what Harvey did..he gave them a choice, we can just go with it, or I can be fair and you can give me your side, and we will try to balance the story. But people like Brange do not think this applies to them because they try to control the stories, they seem to think that things still work the way it did 20 years ago. It doesn’t, and Miss Ang is going to quickly find that out. As fast as the media will build you up, they will also tear you down. She started pissing them off with that incident with the press and the PC that she blocked certain news agencies, and then blamed it on her lawyers. She went on some shows for damage control. Didn’t work,they did not forget that, and it has been downhill ever since then.
Brad did something similar. He hates paps so much he has them arrested, when they are not in the wrong. That does not bode well for his production company, not when they win, and not when they turn around and sue him, and win. This has been going on for some time now. The public does not see all this, but Brad knows this woman is pulling him down to the ground. She knows somewhere in that arrogant head of hers that she is messing up. She brillantly pulled herself up, only to believe her own hype, enough so to totally leave her entire family in shambles. Brad made the same mistake. Concealed things lied, bought into what she was selling, and while he has gotten a free pass much of the time, he will not on much of this. Why? because of WHO he is with. She may be the sexiet and the hottest, but she is not America’s Sweetheart, and the public is not going to let him forget it. He could have the same secrets unveiled about his past, and if he was still with Jen, he could humbly ask for forgiveness, and all would be well. Not in this case. He has arrogant spit in the face of God. He never did that when he was with Jen. He has the right to not believe, but it is “how” one presents themself..something he has forgotten it so seems. He looks a mess. If he is dressing down, he needs to stop. His attitude is no longer what it was five years ago, but he brought much of this on himself. He looked into the camera, and he lied..stupid, stupid, stupid. What was he thinking? He wasn’t. He got rid of Cindy. Again stupid. Things have unraveled since he did that. He thinks he
knows how to handle the press, but you can not out think the media, can not be faster than the internet.
He thinks because he is Brad Pitt it does not apply to him, Brangelina, before he understood that he could be taken down as fast as he was brought up, he understood that the person you were with helped take you up, that his success was multiplied by theirs, and he understood that very well. He did not apparently understand , how quickly their foolish mistakes could bring him crashing down,and that is how it works. What one can get away with, another can not. I could give you a hundred examples, but just compare the faux pas across political lines and there you have it.
Sometimes you can not buy people off, and sometimes you just have to hold your head up high and admit that you screwed up, and then go on with your life.

Oh sure, we get the occassional troll (hi mia) but basically we have peace. What it boiled down to was their theories of why we created GD. All they had to do was ask LadyB, she was one of the people all for it, or so she told us. We needed a place safe from troll attack (like what FF is enduring now) where we could chat about our lives, loves, likes, whatever in peace and privacy. No big conspiracy theory, no huge FF discussions. FF is not a closed, private blog, anyone can go there, anyone can post there if they choose. So you are going to encounter people from ALL OVER THE WORLD posting on FF, it’s not a small neighborhood. Different cultures have differing points of view, and some carry bigotry with them as a flag held high. When you post on FF you have to be aware you will most likely draw fire from people who oppose your views. It’s part of such a huge blog with so few administrators/moderators. So please, accept responsibility for your own actions, and quit trying to lay blame on Tamara, Keane, Kate , or me, or any of us here. Seriously, we have moved on long ago!! Deb, they’re still doubting it – I just read it with my very own eyes! SURE this is the first and last time she ever posted or words to that effect. It’s always the same, people can’t seem to see what is in front of their very own eyes. We are just a hundred or so random people commenting on a couple of irrelevant gossip blogs! (Sorry Ian, but IUC is not that relevant yet, maybe one day it will be!). Here is my opinion. I read here every once in a while, but very rarely comment. I don’t believe Sugar Ray is real. Or Ms. 9-Cent. They went when Ian checked out, and are now back when he needs the attention for his book. Also, there was a post by Ian some weeks ago written in the Sugar Ray style. That nailed it for me. I am a little dumbfounded that people still try to make sense of the rantings of alter egos Sugar Ray and 9 Cent. And, there’s the pesky little fact that he got a LOT wrong in the Michael Jackson book. Based on all the false gossip here, and the individual histories of Andrew Morton and Ian Halperin, credibility goes to Morton for writing a biography that will be at all near the truth.
You might wonder why I continue to read here. Well, that would be due to my interest in the personalities and dramas of the posters. You guys have kind of grown on me.

ReplyHey BTDT, isn’t it amazing how much the press is putting out there now about Brangelina? I think that is due to the book coming out, and they want to deflect some of the heat, and figure out how to handle the bad press and questioning.
I agree that IAN’s been played once or twice by sources that were less than honest, perhaps deliberately sent to deflect the issue and put him on the wrong trail, but remember who we are dealing with her, she ain’t no Mother Theresa in my book!

You know I don’t really care what kind of sexual revelations there are in any books, if she slept with her moms bf or James, those things will be bad enough for her, but she will overcome those if there are explanations from her childhood, such as child abuse, or molestation , something, she will become the victim. People will feel sorry for her, the way she is. They will think she has overcome all that and done amazing things with her life in spite of all that. They will feel those are the things that drove her to the darkness , to being a cutter, to the heroin, to all the sex, the cheating, all of it.
But-if the big shocking exclusive in IAN’s book has nothing to do with sex, if it is something that contradicts who she has become, the Humanitarian, that cares so much, if she has done something so illegal that she can not advance in Washington, that she would not be welcomed back in Cambodia, if she has broken the law, that is something that she will not overcome.
It is one thing to end up a screwed up mess from a terrible up bringing from HW parents and to try to overcome it and do the best you can, and succeed, and still fall a little along the way. Sex and drugs have been a part of the silver screen since it began. No one will even blink. They will not care if she is still shagging JS. They will not care if she cheated on Brad or that they have a open relationship, or that they have a unstable relationship, who doesn’t in that business.
What they will care about are illegal adoptions, if she faked her pregnancy, if the reason she did so was not acceptable , if she has imported or exported something she should not have, if she has illegal off shore accounts she can not explain, etc. Those are the kinds of things that will take them down. Both of them.
JMO so when I think of a shocking revelation that is what I am expecting..

I’m very much looking forward to receiving my copy of Ian’s book, Brangelina:Exposed , on December 1st. Based on what we’ve learned here, and was hinted at, i am wholly expecting a real expose’. Most likely i will also purchase Morton’s book late in 2010 when it comes out , to add to my library. It will be interesting to read both .
If La Jolie did have sex with her mother’s boyfriend that would explain something that has been bugging me. In my experience, the women who sleep with other people husbands identify with men rather than other women and are often acting out their jealously at Mum being a rival for Dad’s attention. . See, I can take him from you etc. But whilst Ange does fit the profile in that she appears to have no female friends, and use her sexuality to get whatever she wants, her professed love for her mother and her dislike of her father seemed to contradict that norm. But, if she did go behind her mother’s back with her partner the picture becomes clear. I have no idea why you are so angry about something people you likely don’t have a personal relationship with, but it seems you are truely hurt by what has happened. Might I suggest you speak to a friend, a pastor, Iman or Rabbi about you fixation and get to the source of your pain. I came on the site seaking information regarding Ian’s upcoming book as I plan to buy one for my wife as a Christmas gift. She enjoys celebrety gossip, and yes I have seen her angered at some of the stars for what they have done. But you Kate, treasured soul, please you protest so much!
Angelina is beautiful. And Brad is well a guy. ( I don’t have the gene that allows me to judge him other than not ugly). I distrust any public demonstration of stars obtaining children from poor countries around the world. Andrew Morton says his book doesn’t accuse Angie of sleeping with Mom’s lover
It is being widely reported that controversial celebrity biographer Andrew Morton is writing a book about Angelina Jolie that claims the actress slept with her mom Marcheline Bertrand’s live-in lover when she was just 16, destroying the relationship in the process.
There’s just one problem with the story: It’s just not true, Morton tells Life & Style.
Morton is writing a bio of Angie, and while he’s not revealing specifics, if it’s like his previous books about Tom Cruise, Princess Diana and other celebs, it’s sure to include some shocking details.
Morton tells Life & Style that his latest project will definitely not accuse Angelina of her of sleeping with her mom’s lover.
The report is false, says Morton. “It’s about as true as I’m sitting on this horse.”

I can’t believe the lengths they will go to to try to stop the truth coming out. Do they seriously think they can control this, that they will be able to get out of it all with this crazy la jolie PR? These people are STUPID, I’ve always said it. Brad and Angelina held an intimate, romantic marriage ceremony at their French chateau, with all six of their kids by their side.
“They threw themselves a wedding for the sake of the kids,” an insider tells Star. “Maddox has been pressing his parents to get married for a long time. It wasn’t legally binding, but it was important for them to have a special ceremony to let the kids know they’re just like married people.”
The ceremony was conducted by 8-year-old Maddox, who put Shiloh, 3, in charge of the rings. “He was adorable when he mispronounced the word ‘bearer’ and told Shiloh, ‘You’re the ring bear.’ She was thrilled,” the insider says.
Zahara was the flower girl, Pax got to be best man and 15-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne giggled as they watch the ritual unfold in the Grand Hall of the magnificent Chateau Miraval.
“Mad was so honored to marry Mommy and Daddy… He learned all about traditional wedding vows and memorized a lot of it. But he ended up reading off a piece of paper.” Brad and Angie also read their favorite poems and stories aloud.

She dished about her not so fabulous relationship with her wife lately, Oprah Winfrey and Oprah’s BFF Gail. And oh yeah… that she thought her and Angelina Jolie almost hooked up once.

Ohhhhhh! That’s where she got the idea that they were going to hook up. Who could blame her? WHAT?

I think it’s moronic that Rosie thought that a few phone calls and a dinner date than never happened was some sort of prelude to jumping in the sack with Jolie or anyone for that matter.
So a word of caution people……
If you are not into Rosie that way…. I wouldn’t talk to her on the phone. And whatever you do, don’t make any dinner plans with her. Because it will obviously be perceived as steamy foreplay and undoubtedly an invitation for sexy time.
Unless of course, you want to hit that…..

God Bless Ian Halperin for releasing Brangelina Exposed, a book that will let us know the truth about America’s most overexposed couple. Best of all, the book gives us insight into Angelina’s life long before she manipulated the public into believing that she’s a saint.
According to the book, Angelina Jolie seduced her mother’s boyfriend when she was only sixteen years old. What kind of saint does something like that? The book also reveals that Angelina Jolie became very friendly with her high school math teacher, with a lot of “extra credit” involved.
One can bet that as soon as the book is released, Angelina Jolie will be running to some Foreign country and pose with orphans in order to gain sympathy

What Mia and other people who are rattled by this book don’t get is that IAN has to have his sources cooperate 100 percent for him to use them in the book, for him to put the information in the book,or he can’t use it. He has to be able to call that person up if so challenged and say, you are up, now tell your story, and know they can and will stand behind it. That is why PR people like Bragman say these books are on target because they can not be put out there with bold face lies, or the Brange machine would shut IAN down faster than he could blink. IAN knows and they know that what goes into that book can be backed up. If Brad or Angelina or Jen or anyone else wants to step up and say, “That is not true” then they have to be prepared to sit there and listen to the source testify that it is. That source, who may be a nanny, a gardner, a hairdresser, a limo driver, a brother, a sister of someone connected , a old lover, a director or camera man they once worked with and on goes the list. This is why these people are upset. Unless they are stupid and they honestly believe he is going to just print lies and make stuff up and the book will be negated, and they think if they scream loud enough it will go away, Well NO it does not work like that. Sorry. I see have seen comments from past digrunted posters say, “oh well I am not going to buy that book it is just going to flop or get discredited” lol how does one think that is going to happen unless Brad or Angelina steps forward and says, “I did not do that” and then IAN says, well my source says you did.
Lets go toe to toe on this and find out the truth. Now how does that happen..in court. So all these people that are pissed off at IAN for personal reasons are just being childish, and the funny thing is, in the next breath they go on and on about how they want MB to write a book and tell all and take her down. Everyone wants the truth about the Brangelina machine to come out, and why people are behaving so petty is astonishing to me.
You can get away with putting more on a website than you can in a book, we may not see the same things in the book that we saw here, if we don’t then those stories could not be secured and possibly those were stories that he just heard about. Just as Morton said he “heard” that Jolie would climb into bed with James at night as a teenager and that he was told she slept with her mothers boyfriend. but he says that is not going in his book, why not. Maybe the person who told him will not back it up.

Yep, basically Ian has to get them to sign-off on it and get independent corroboration otherwise his ass will be sued to within an inch of his life whether it is true or not. What people don’t seem to understand is that the veracity of the story is not the issue at stake when it comes to journalism, it is whether you can prove it or not. The world and his wife could know a story was true but unless someone has got the evidence to show it you cannot publish it. End of story. A case in point: I’m working on a story which if published will be huge with one of the leading broadsheets in the UK right now (hope that grates on your last nerve ladies of FF, I dropped it just for you). I know this stuff is true, because I was there, I witnessed all the conversations and I wrote them all down in official documents. However, if I can’t get copies of all these documents to give to the journo, it cannot be published. In fact, even if I did get all this documentation, the journo will still have to run it by the paper’s lawyers to see whether they are happy to go to press with it. Even documentation doesn’t always prove everything because often people can think of a way to explain things away. Anyone who has a vague grasp of the media knows that journos spend 90% of their time not finding the story, but trying to stand it up. And all newspapers, non-fiction authors and broadcasters work with the constant threat of being sued for anything and everything that they say. Anyone who thinks Ian could publish this book without some seriously strong, corroborated sources which will stand-up in court is an utter fool. His lawyer would NEVER let it happen. It would be unbelievably foolish and completely counterproductive (i.e. he would lose more money through litigation than he would make in book sales). There would be absolutely no way any journalist would take such an unnecessary risk. Brangelina, just like Laliberte, will sue over any detail their legal people can think of to try to destroy the credibility of the book, that is what lawyers are for (I’ll just drop another “my lawyer friends” in there I think – ha ha!). Ian is not going to make life easy for these people by using totally uncorroborated sources. So, all in all I think we would all be wise to wait for the date of publication of Ian’s book and see what legal action ensues. You can guarantee if Brange can sue over anything, they will. SO, I eagerly await their move. As the lady at The Examiner said, no amount of stop-overs in Iraq will counteract this little blockbuster! Lol

ReplyI don’t agree a lot with mia/guest probably almost never but i think she has a point here. Tabloids do make stuff up to sell their magazine, not to long ago there was a interview with some people who worked at the tabz (they wanted to be ano) they said a story can come from a tip, a photo or out of our ass !!! (when i have more time i will look it up) Sure sometimes the stars leak stories to the tabz for publicity or for whatever reason but i think the most of the time it is bull.
And a lot ot times the stars don’t sue is because the story is written in such a way it is hard to sue and if they sue it just will focusess (sp) publicity on the story.
I also don’t think the same way as you about the sources for the book ian is writing about angelina and brad (and jen).
The source can claim it is the truth but that doesn’t say it is the truth and when one of the people involved is going to sue Ian it will only increase publicity for the book and people will wonder if it is the truth because they are sueing.
I also think that Ian made a mistake to involve jen in the book. First of all because when he is writing a book on angelina and brad why involve jen in it. I think i know the reason : money because more people will buy the book because they want to know the reason for the divorce.
Second : For example when ian says that a source said that jen didn’t wanted to have children and that is the reason for the divorce and jen ’s rep says not true or jen doesn’t react at all then the whole book can be trown (sp) away.

When i was searching for something about Angelina Jolie, i pulled up a Wiki Biography on her father, Jonathan Vincent Voight…in it was mention three acting children. Angie and James of course, and one who’s Christian name i’ve since forgotten, but his nickname is “Wheels”….i remarked on this to several friends, and when i went back to ccp it…..Wheels was no longer mentioned….vanished! I”m assuming he is a step brother, as no where was he mentioned regarding Angie and James in their personal data, but it shows how facts can and are manipulated in the world of Celebrity~! As for IAN’s book, i suppose i am too loyal to people i trust, and i do trust Ian to publish what he led us to believe he would. A Blockbuster Expose’ On Angie. If his publisher felt the information he uncovered was so explosive that they refused to let him out of the contract, then imo we can trust that it is. I don’t personally believe that is in relation to wild sex, but something on a entirely different level.
The quest for help about a sting may have been a clue of what is to come, and that she was not able to attain the position she wanted in Washinton and who it was that turned her down flat. Just a thought.
Those kind of sources can not be over come, no matter how many book signings they attend, regardless of what kind of a united front they show, a staged falling off s bike with a concerned partner for safety, or kiddies trick or treating in mommy and daddies arms. None of that will matter if the explosive information is attached to the soapbox that was placed firmly in our nations capitol, or even if it is attached to a international connection.

Thanks for giving your opinion but unfortunately what you say is not true at all. Yes tabloids can try and make something out of a story which was not there by sensationalizing it or trying to make it sound like there is a big conflict when there in fact isn’t. An example of this is the stories that are written about shows like American Idol and X Factor for example – about conflicts between contestants, presenters etc. Sometimes they are true but at other times they are exaggerated or not true at all. However, the story is not necessarily being made up by the journo alone, it can often be created by the person being paid to publicise the show and leaked to them. Simon Cowell is a master at PR and always makes sure his shows attract a lot of press attention. He does this by making sure there is always a supposed rivalry or drama within the presenters or contestants. Happens every year, whether it is true or not. So yes, you are right that stories can be fabricated or exaggerated in this sense, but this is a very different type of story to the ones we are talking about here i.e. tell-alls on celebs.
When it comes to writing about celebs tabloids have to be extremely careful. The first issue is that both celebs and their publicists wield a lot of power when it comes to the media. If a negative article is printed in a particular paper/mag about a particular celeb then they may find that not only that celeb but all the celebs represented by that agency will no longer grant interviews/exclusives to not only that paper/mag but all the papers owned by that publisher. Papers/mags tend to sell on the basis of what exclusive interviews/stories with particular individuals they have so they have to be very careful not to bite the hand that feeds them. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for example have been the biggest sellers in the past 5 or so years (as Ian’s friend Noah said in one of his chats). While they are making the mags money they will be careful to keep them happy by not printing articles that would be likely to upset them. This is the power that Brange have over the media – their popularity and marketability with the public at large.
While there are occasionally leaked stories from a genuine source within a celeb’s camp, 90% of the stories which say “a source said” are in reality their PR. The stories given to the press by a celeb’s PR are intended to keep them in the public eye, to promote them and sometimes to deflect from other, more negative stories which are threatening to come out. Nine times out of ten these stories are completely fabricated. A case in point: an interntionally famous British chef has a secret predilection for men despite being married with children. One of these men tries to sell a story on him to the press and has the evidence to back it up. The paper tells this celeb’s publicist that they have this story and in order to prevent it from being published, agrees to create another salacious story which will sell lots of papers but be less damaging to the celeb i.e. one about him with a woman. Voila: chef still has a career, paper made loads of cash. Simple.
What people don’t realise is that when they read 90% of the stories and interviews about celebs in the tabloids and mags, they are reading their marketing, not real details about their lives. Celebs don’t talk to the press or have stories leaked about them on their behalf because they happen to just want to spill their guts to the general public, they do it to promote themselves and sell their products. People also don’t realise that daily or weekly mags/papers take a lot of time and work to fill with newsworthy stories and do not have high enough profit margins to pay journos to go out and uncover exciting celeb news. They very much rely on PRs phoning stories in to them and press releases. Also to go to press with a negative story about a celeb requires a lot of time and effort to be put in to make sure it checks out from a legal perspective. They could not possibly do that with all the stories that they need to fill the mag so 90% of it is the official line direct from their PR. Like TV shows, mags/papers do not have huge teams of people working on them to create some sort of groundbreaking, earth-shattering, revelatory piece of journalism every week. Their profit margins are small so everything is done on a pretty low budget. (Journos, by the way, do not make a lot of money at all!). At the end of the day, a mag/paper is a product like anything else (like a chocolate bar for example), and the point of it is to make money, not necessarily to change the world. Whether it is telling the truth or not is not as important as it being a viable business. Papers are going out of business all over the place at the moment and it is a fight for survival in the media world right now. Celebs have a lot of cash (they make ridiculous amounts through advertising which the public are generally not that aware of, even very low level people) in comparison to most papers/mags and are capable of bankrupting a publication. Remember when Jason Donovan sued over The Face suggesting he was gay? That nearly ruined the mag, they cannot afford to pay hundreds of thousands or millions of pounds to people in damages. So when celebs say that they don’t sue because they couldn’t possibly afford to do it over every untrue article that is written about them that is not true at all. They can afford to, but if they did it over one thing which they said wasn’t true and then didn’t do it over another then it would look pretty suspect wouldn’t it? So the get out is just to say “oh I couldn’t possibly sue over every little story that is not true about me”. That doesn’t mean that it is the truth though.
And with regard to what you say about the fact that Ian’s sources may not telling the truth, well I agree that it is not possible to guarantee that they are not. However, this in no way protects Ian from being sued! He can’t go to court and say “sorry guv, they swore on their mother’s life they were telling the truth” – that will not save his ass at all! Whatever he publishes he is ultimately responsible for. Even if he has made an honest mistake and has been completely duped by someone, he can still be sued for it. Ignorance is no defence! And also, sometimes people can sue and win even if the story is in fact true. A recent case in point: Max Moseley sued the NOTW in the UK for publishing a story about the orgies he has with hookers. While it was true and they had video evidence to prove it, his lawyer successfully argued that it was an invasion of privacy and the NOTW had to pay him considerable damages. I believe Naomi Campbell did the same thing to The Mirror over the story they ran about her going to Narcotics Annonymous. It was true and they had phototgraphic evidence to prove it but she still tried to sue over it being an invasion of privacy (don’t think she won though).
Anyhow, long old post I know but just wanted to point out that the way the press works is nothing like the public is led to believe!
ReplyConsidering most of Angie’s sexual escapades are common knowledge, it seems to me that the blockbuster information held in Ian’s book would have to concern legal issues, or possibly political. I honestly doubt anyone would be shocked at anything sexual Angie does any more. Hopefully what is contained in the book will be a real eye opener to those iwho continue to offer support to Brangelina and will result in a betterment of sorts for all involved. I do however, sincerely hope that Jennifer is not brought into the mix as Brangelina is Brad and Angelina, not Brad, Angelina and Jennifer, which would make it Brangeniffer….imo@Kate:

Yup, hate to break it to you but I never used to read FF because I thought it was the home of a load of idiots such as yourself who make it their mission in life to dissect and slam every word I utter. My good cyber friends though mentioned that you had all gone even more batshit crazy than usual and thought I was spending my days trolling your tragic IUC Hostility thread to get you back for what I’m not quite sure. When I read it I found it so funny it had me in stitches for hours I have to say – I think it was actually one of the most entertaining things I have read on the internet in my whole life in fact! Lol And when I read the even more entertaining “Are IUC Rejects Ruining this Forum?” (answer: yes) thread I realised there were at least a few sane people posting there! Kate has always said that the guests posting on FF knew there stuff and I completely agree with her. They’re more on to the wiles of the Brangelina than most of the press are. So I will continue to read and enjoy the FF threads when I choose as funnily enough it is a free world and I can do what I damn well please! Which includes laughing on a regular basis at you losers! Thanx for admitting that the tabs write bullshit 9 out of 10 times and that they don`t have the resources or the time to check the “facts”. That is exactly what i meant! The only problem with this is that 98% of all In Touch Weekly stories are negative for Brangelina – they have them fighting and splitting up. So I very much doubt that their rep would leak that kind of stories. If at all I see a rep of someone who dislikes them leaking them. Who could that be hm? One of the most powerful reps in Hollywood is Huvane who happens to represent Aniston. So if you are looking for a source of those stories – why not consider someone who profits from them the most – and that is certainly NOT Brangelina! Those kind of stories don`t put butts into movie seats – because the housewives who are the main readership of gossip mags don`t watch the kind of movies Pitt and Jolie make – they prefer romantic comedies – which happen to be Jen`s favorite genre.
Guess what. I read an interesting story on the internet about a british journalist who wanted to check the “research work” of some wellknown tabs. So he and a friend called the tab and told them a fictive story about them working for a moving company and stumbling about some compromising photos featuring Amy Whinehouse. Guess what that stroy got printed without being checked. Scary hm? While I forgot the exact details – it shows just how trustworthy those tabs are! Anyone who has a story that SOUNDS like it could be true and a source that confirms his/her infos can make it inside the pages of a gossip mag!
ReplyAnd I am not saying that nothing is true – just that it is almost impossible to distinguish between lies, slobby researched “facts”, hearsay and halftruth. So why bother with that? Time usually shows which rumors were just that and which turn out to be true!

No Mia, I didn’t say they didn’t have time to check the facts, I said they didn’t have time to do investigative pieces that go against the grain and uncover the lies behind a celebrity’s PR, which is why they usually stick to the PR-fed stories. They sell the paper and they aren’t going to get sued over them so everyone is a winner aren’t they? And BTW, you completely fail to understand the complexities of the PR game if you think stories about Brangelina splitting are harmful to the separate and individual celebrities known as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, especially when they have been that way for quite some time. Their PRs have been paving the way for the split announcement for quite some time now, making up silly reasons for fights and giving ludicrous accounts of what he said and she said. Angelina’s PR has been trying to make her client look like the victim in this scenario for quite some time now with all the “poor Angie” stories and shocking allegations of Brad’s outrageous and irresponsible drinking exploits (so much more outragoues than other such things such as a serious and long-term drug addiction hey?). Brad, like the sucker he has always been, has not been fighting back that much, perhaps to protect the children or perhaps because he fears the exposure of a few of his not-so-little secrets who knows? And did you not read the part about PR’s inventing negative stories to cover up another real story that would be far more damaging or did you choose to ignore that?
And no, Mia-loon, Jennifer Aniston’s rep does not leak stories about Brad and Angelina. That would be pretty difficult considering he does not work for either of them and cannot attest to the veracity of anything he says about anyone other than Jen. Do you understand how it works now Mia? Reps leaks stories to the press about their own clients, not other people’s! They cannot make up stories about someone else and just ring up a paper and get them to print it. That would be as libellous as you or I calling them up and giving them a made-up story. Yes Angelina’s PR can call up the press and leak a sympathetic piece to them about Angie and imply that all her and Brad’s troubles are caused by her insecurity over Jennifer Aniston, but they cannot make up a story about Jennifer and ask them to print it, because Jennifer could and would sue over that. Do you understand the difference?

Oh and BTW your story would be interesting if you could remember where it was reported so we could ascertain whether it was in fact a reliable source of information and whether it was in fact true or not. Hazy, half-remembered, unverified facts are not exactly a solid ground on which to make an assessment are they? And no, you are completely wrong there, there is a way to distinguish between what is and isn’t true and that is thinking about how that story made it into the press, why it has been placed there, who it is biased against and whose interests it may serve. Once you’ve done that you may start to see the wood from the trees a little bit.
And as for your last point, well I think you’ve pretty much summed up my problem with you (apart from the obvious) there in a nutshell. You say you KNOW everything Ian has posted on his blog is not true and nothing will convince you otherwise. I say wait for the book and let’s see who sues over what and who can prove what in a court of law. But thus far you have refused to accept that option and will not let it drop. So now Mia, I suggest you start taking your own advice and wait for Ian’s book to come out and for Brangelina to respond before making your judgments. As you say: “Time usually shows which rumors were just that and which turn out to be true!”, so I think we both know exactly what you should now do – don’t we?

Now, back to the book. I too am worried by ’sympathetic’ it seem to me that the world’s press has fallen over itself to put these two idiotic selfish home wrecking baby buyers in a sympathetic light so a bracing dose of unsympathetic may be called for!
If there is an “overdose” of sympathy for Angie and Brad publications, then we , the public, will know that we do not need to bother ourselves reading dribble they print, as we can discern the truth ourselves. Reading publications for more details of what we already know somewhat is what we wish, not to be spoon fed a bunch of press release dribble to cover up horrendous acts against others and create a false image for these celebs. I’m anxiously waiting for my edition to be delievered Dec. 3. If i find that Ian has white washed and diluted the reality of what Brangelina is, i will know for certain he has sold out his integrity as an author. At that time i will no longer respect any of his information in the future. It’s as Angelina Jolie has said herself, “It is what it is”, she offers no excuse, offers no shame or regret for her abhorrent acts toward other, in particular her subversive attempts to damage Jennifer Aniston, her adoptions of “orphans” with living parents, her hard hearted non parenting of those poor children ripped from native lands and people. When I think back to all the little comments and clues that have been made on here, I would not be at all surprised if Ted C did not offer some support to IAN as far as some of her past shennigans, at least as far as some of the illegal homegrown things she may have gotten herself into.
IAN has said before that Brad has not been at peace and that Angelina was a vixen as a young girl , and probably taken advantage of. We knew that already, and so we reviewed some of that lately, so none of that will be shocking to any of us. What ever hidden secret Brad is harboring as well I don’t think will really shock anyone here.
Would it surprise anyone to find he had mixed feelings in revealing the shocking things she has done, not me. That does not mean he did not reveal it. imo he did when he adivsed just how deep he had gone and just how much he knew and said, here is your chance to quit looking back and look forward, she spit in his face. He was not offering to leave out the info, to me it sounded more like he was offering to let her tell her side and she refused. jmo of coure, idk.
He goes on to hint that they are undecided as to where to raise the kids or who will raise the kids and that Brad seems to be in control.
He ends it with telling us that Brad is in control again, albeit confused and not sure exactly what to do and what is more impotant to him and so the triangle continues.
I may be completely wrong, but my bet is that IAN will tell all , as much as he can without going to jail himself . He will also be sympathetic in the sense that anyone would be , the same way you would be to any other person who has mental problems and drug problems and suicidal tendencies. That does not mean she is off the hook, that there is no justice for those wronged, that there is no consequences for the bad behavior. Anyone that has had enough sense to manipulate the press and her image all the while continue doing drugs, and all the things she says she has given up, certainly is bright enough to know she needs to get help, counseling and stop doing those things if for no other reason, those six beautiful children. That alone, she gets no slack at all, but that does not mean she gets no compassion for what she may have endured at one point in her life.
I have read all of her interviews, her journals that she wrote while visiting the refugees, and it is almost as though she has two different personalities. I can easily see how one can feel sorry for her, get taken in and say “poor Angie” until you realize what she has done just in the last five years.
I personally do not believe IAN has been bought off as so many are speculating, I don’t believe he has slanted this book in a postive way to make Angelina look good. I think it will most likely rip her wonderful image she thinks she has to pieces, and have great sympathy for doing so. IAN has always believed in redemption, he has said that many times, not just here but in the other books he has written, of course one has to be well deserved of that. To date if even half of what he told us in the last six months is true, she has not redeemed herself, not even as a mother. IAN has a soft heart , anyone that has been a loyal poster here knows that. I am sure it is not easy to know where to draw the line in a book like this, after all, it is a little bit like playing God with other peoples lives. Sometimes one has to do that, it is much like
intervention when one will not cooperate. Hopefully this will force her to get the help she needs and to be a good mother. Hopefully no one else will allow her to adopt again , at least until she is on track.

ReplyTrue lizzie, we all grow up and learn the responsibilities for our actions rest strictly on ourselves, and thus we formulate a pattern to adopt the rules and laws of society. Otherwise we are nothing more or less than the wild beasts in the jungles, who react, and act upon natural instinct. It’s very hard to give sympathy to a person who has proven to have no emotional investment in the lives of six children she parades around the world for publicity opportunities to further her image. Sympathy? For her? No, but most certainly for those children . I also feel that any person, no matter what their lot in life, who knows of such illegal transactions concerning children, or any other act of abuse toward a child, who does nothing is in fact aiding and abetting, and just as guilty of crimes against humanity. I think those how posted a long time ago that Jolie has a Borderline Personality Disfunction is correct. Jolie presents two totally different personalities to the world, and to her family. As her father said, they recognized she was mental as a very young child. He has also gone on record during the Maddox adoption process as asking for mental health care for his daughter. Yet, she manipulates those in positions to make a difference, force a change for the better , into going along with her will. Nothing will ever excuse her exploitation of refugees from the most dangerous, hopeless and desolate regions of the world (Somalia is the one that bothers me the most) and vulnerable young orphans to market herself as a movie star. It is morally utterly outrageous and there is no excuse or justification for it, whatever happened to her in her childhood. My ethics are black and white on this matter and I can not support someone who does not share them. Everyone deserves the possibilty of redemption at some polnt in their life, but they have to take the consequences of their actions and the punishment for it first. She must not be allowed to get away scott free for what she has done just because her parents might have been dreadful. I’ve met worse parents, and their offspring did not turn out to do evil, morally reprehensible things like her. It is disgraecful to me that this woman is held up as the leading female icon of our times. She makes me embarrassed to be female and embarrassed to be part of the society that has bought into this person. So, no forgiveness from me yet. Not for a good long while.

Strange I only saw the twins on THREE occasions – at the People photoshoot, at the Tolyo airport and in a cellphone photo in an ice cream shop. Did you drink too much – seems like you see double – eh daily photo reports about the twins were there are none!
ReplyAlso, just saw the Salt trailer and while I will concede that she looks pretty in it (but nowhere near the age she claims to be of course, more like pushing 40), it is, even for her, one of the worst examples of an acting “performance” I have ever seen. She is not just acting like a wooden sex doll (as in all previous action flicks), but a lazy one at that. It’s like she can’t even be bothered to do wooden vixen so is just phoning it in. I know exactly what does and doesn’t constitute evidence to print/broadcast, and it most certainly is not “it is the truth guv’nor”! Nah biggie, that’s not how it works AT ALL! Three sources and it’s ok to print? What if all those three sources were lying? I can find a thousand people who will tell me the same lie but that doesn’t mean I can broadcast it! If you’re tellng a story about someone which is potentially defamatory you either need to get them to admit to it or have factual evidence such as a criminal conviction against them, otherwise it cannot be broadcast. Otherwise everyone with a grudge against someone or who was whacko could say anything about anyone, couldn’t they? You are unbelievably misinformed. And I’m not having difficulties with “my project” at all. It in fact isn’t a “project”, it is a story I am leaking to the press about political corruption. And for that, as with most things, you can’t just say “it’s the truth cos I say it is, ask biggie”. I have to back everything I say up with the official documents, and even that may not make it past the paper’s lawyers. Not sure which publication you leaked your story to biggie, but it sure as hell wasn’t anything like mine (and yes they know plenty about exposing political corruption, I am working with the journo who was responsible for uncovering the biggest scandal in UK politics in the last couple of decades), or any other publication in the UK for that matter. And no, we don’t need help with “fact-checking”, thanks (wouldn’t it be an easy game if that’s all it came down to!), we need leaked documents.
