Mozart – travelled widely and had periods of near-fatal illness. His financial position never matched his success, and he was at times forced to pawn valuables to pay off debts. He died of what is now thought to have been rheumatic fever. I would say that’s how he is relevant.

Mozart always learned voraciously from others, and developed a brilliance and maturity of style that encompassed the light and graceful along with the dark and passionate—the whole informed by a vision of humanity “redeemed through art, forgiven, and reconciled with nature and the absolute”.

juggling water glasses…gun harassing…proud parents?–Possible references to the latest pics of Brangie with the kids. AJ was criticized by some for buying one of her kids a toy gun.

Hunter S. Thompson was a strange man. He often confused his fictitious persona with his real identity. Maybe that’s what this reference is for.

I agree that the vampire reference is about the new couple in town. The Brangie “brand” is no longer selling.

Now, new evidence points to an altogether different conclusion: Mozart may have died from kidney damage caused by a strep infection, possibly strep throat. Point is that he died of unknown causes, a sudden and painful death……

There is no such thing as a “lease to buy” in France, not in any legal sense of the term. You can buy outright, or you can buy on a “viager”, which means that you pay a “bouquet” (up front amount) and then a monthly amount to the person until they die, (although I think there is the possibility of setting a limit on how long the monthly payment term can last). This is often used by elderly people with property worth a fair amount of money, but no cash. They sell their house/apartment occupied by themselves and/or their spouse “en viager occupe”, or empty “en viager” in order to receive a monthly “rent” to live on.

In the case of the Chateau, it’s been rented under a commercial lease through a company in NL, if I remember correctly. The interest in having the ownership in NL is that there are tax rulings that can allow an NL based company to have (under certain conditions) all of their income that is generated outside of NL tax-free. So, if the NL company is renting the Chateau from the owner, and then sublets it to Brangelina (or anyone else, there is a recording studio in it too), anything paid in rent is tax-free, if I’m not mistaken.

My understanding is that Trevor Nielson helped Brangie set up a tax shelter-type legal entity in the Netherlands to purchsae Miraval. If Brangie then pays rent to the tax shelter, they can claim the rent as a business expense if they use the place for business. So, it’s basically a big fraud so that they don’t have to pay taxes and they can still get a tax deduction.

I have no doubt that it’s a tax shelter. That said, the owner of Miraval did state that he rented it, not sold it. Either way, they can only use it as a business expense when they are living there for work. From a cashflow point of view, it makes more sense that they rented it via the NL company. No big initial outlay, they can rent it to themselves for more than their NL corporation pays (seasonal rentals are considerably more expensive than yearly rentals) and all of that money becomes tax-free.

Yes, you are right, the owner rented it. After their first stay and upon their initial return to L.A. , the owner’s lawyers and the Brand’s lawyer had a meeting, as the owner claimed that the renter had left the premises in such a state that it needed renovation. He wanted his costs covered and also a higher future deposit and rent .

@Canuck:The French home was bought with a company based in Holland, owned by the Jolie-Pitts which they then rented back to themselves as an effective tax dodge around France’s complex property purchase taxation laws. This worked not only for them but for the Chateau’s previous owner American Tom Bove whose twenty something daughter now owns a million Euro apartment in Spain which she bought shortly after the Jolie-Pitts moved into her old family home. Now we all know that Braneg make anyone who works for them even if it’s just in a hotel they stay in sign a twenty page confidentiality contract but Tom was on the phone chit chatting to any journalist who called him saying that he had merely rented the property to the Jolie-Pitts for three years. Bearing in mind he had signed a confidentiality contract obviously they wanted this info out there, rather than that they had paid that much money for a new house. Now why would they not want anyone looking into the purchase or where they got the money to buy a home that is worth roughly half of Brad’s estimated net worth? Theoretically, if the 30$USD million money they got from sales of the kids pictures isn’t in the charity donations fund they set up – the Jolie-Pitt foundation, and the Chateau Miraval cost in the region of 35million euros, would it be a great leap of imagination to presume they in fact used the money they got from pimping their kids to buy a sprawling Chateau in France rather than donate it to charity as they once promised?

    >>an effective tax dodge around France’s complex property purchase taxation laws<<

See, that bit has been going around and around from article to article. And it's total BS, straight from some publicists pen. The taxation laws when you purchase property in France aren't complex, been there, done that more than once. The only "tax" that you pay when you buy property is "les frais de notaire", which is a fixed percentage of the price and for which part goes to the notary who does the legalities related to the transaction. And it doesn't matter how you buy it or from where, you pay that.

Forbes, who I would assume is a reasonably reliable source, states that they rented it.
    http://www.forbestraveler.com/celebrity/celebrity-owned-vineyards-story.html

Anyways, time will tell. A commercial lease runs 3/6/9 years, so if they "sell" their chateau in a year and a half, it'll probably be a good sign that they didn't actually buy the place.

I read a thing about the book that says that the subject is also Jen and her readiness (sp) to have children, her marriage to Brad etc.

What the f@ck has Jen got to do with a Brangelina book. Leave her out of it !!!!! What has jen’s readiness to have a child got to do with Brangelina.

Can the media just leave Jen out of the mess of Brangelina.

Interesting. What I have read is that the owner just transferred stocks in the Netherland’s corporate entity from himself to the Brand. Perhaps that is a way of avoiding capital gains if there is such a thing in France? That might also obviate the need to record the deed in France as one does after a transfer of title. Please correct me if I am mistaken because I only know how it works in the U.S.

    Incandescent ban…battle hardened…examination of public records…no grace period…rail alignment…rigged sandbag…juggling water glasses…gun harassing…proud parents?…flying circus…happenstance…wardrobe full of latex and black gloves…whip it…Spanish Inquisition…back end of the car…diminutive record…vestiges of Mozart…literacy beacons of Hunter S. Thompson…gaudy gloves…got your back…and your back end…bitter and frail…vampires in bloom…deadpan six…elicit undertones…expressive eyebrows…Van Gogh and Chaupin…apocalyptic vision…eternal sunshine…eternal darkness…eternal pain.

Few more thoughts on this. I wonder if some of this is about Ian. The “incandescent ban” – was Ian banned in some way from following/tracking Brangelina? “Incandescent” means that something burns so brightly that it illuminates everything. Did this ban enable Ian to gain some perspective on the story and allow him to see the light? “Battle hardened” – well, that’s Ian: Laliberte, MJ’s people, scientos and all the others, Ian has been there, done that and bought the T-shirt. He is not about to be put off by Brange. Ian couldn’t do research on the ground (seems like he is catching up with this now) so did his research using the public records. This may well have thrown some significant info up to get the book back on track. We however did not give him a grace period and demanded answers yesterday. However, the investigation that was derailed (was it a restraining order or some such thing Ian?) is now back on track (”rail alignment”). The “rigged sandbag” to me still seems to be about someone trying to rig the game – fix the grid as said in previous posts – to stem the flood of information to Ian. Not sure what the juggling water glasses is about. If you juggle water glasses and drop them they will smash into shards of glass and be lethal – reference to what Ian is doing, the risks he feels he is under, that he is playing with knives maybe? Gun harrassing – reference to Angie’s threats to kill Ian. The “proud parents?” refers to the dubious nature of the pic of the twins in the ice cream shop in Syria (what an odd sentence that is!). “Flying circus” – the circus of dragging their children around the world for photo opps. “Happenstance” – did Ian stumble on some crucial/damning evidence by accident? Next bit is self-explanatory, not sure about “whip it” – does it mean try to keep someone quiet, make someone hurry up or something? “Spanish inqusition” – did Ian interview a crucial source who is Spanish? Wasn’t her alleged first husband supposed to be Spanish or Latino? The “back end of the car” is known as the trunk in the US is it not? Some interesting info was found locked away in a trunk by Ian or someone else, the police maybe? Mozart – travelled a lot, had a lot of serious illness and financial issues (is this Ange or Ian perhaps?!). The Hunter S. Thompson ref could be to Ian placing himself within the story or a reference to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegaas – did that give him an idea for some reason? Do the “gaudy gloves” refer to MJ by any chance? Can’t think of anyone else who wore loud gloves. Not sure about the “got your back…and you back end” – second bit sounds like a sexual reference. “Bitter and frail” – is Ange the first and MJ the second? “Vampires in bloom” – they are both the living dead? Is Ian then telling us with a straight face that there are 6 children and he was wrong about that? Not sure about the next. Does the “Expressive eyebrows” bit refer to the Marx brothers? Can’t think of anyone else who has them! Van Gogh – mentally ill and Chopin – physically ill – again AJ and MJ?

Anyhoo have a think about it!

Most people have their minds made up about how they feel and I doubt many will be changing their minds anytime soon. I agree with pickwick that it has to be quite frustrating arguing with folks with polar opinions. For example, I live in Alaska and I like Sarah Palin. I suppose you can probably imagine how “FUN” arguing my position has been! LOL. I just don’t bother talking about it anymore because no one is going to listen or change their mind … me included! No one I chat with seems to like Sarah … but that’s okay. I’m comfortable with my position and others are comfortable with theirs. We can disagree Guest1. exactly right, Togi. It is just exasperating arguing with people who already have their minds made up. It took me years—I like Brad Pitt’s film work—to finally come to the conclusion that they appear to be reaping incredible tax benefits that aren’t available to the rest of us plebs. Lots of actors are like that, yes, but not all of them are running around at the very same time pretending to be humanitarians. I only say “pretending to be” because I really believe their tax benefits must outweigh their charity donations at this point. If there are any tax geniuses out there to tell me different, I’ll listen.
I really liked Pitt in “Burn Before Reading”. Thought he was very funny.
Jolie’s movies are unwatchable. And no, no fan of Aniston’s movies, either. Both are pretty boring and they have both put themselves into a box with their roles, but at least Aniston’s movies aren’t always so violent.
Agree with you, too, about Sarah Palin. People have VERY strong opinions there—wow! Sometimes it amazes me how strong the reactions to her are—and it’s no use arguing. Just frustrating.
Keane: GENIUS puzzle work. I think you’re on to something there. It’s more personal than some of the other puzzles. I bet you’re right.

I think it means she is turning her back to what is going to happen in the future (i.e. Ian’s expose coming out) maybe by refusing to work with him. Perhaps he extended an olive branch to her along the lines of give me your side of the story and she declined. So it is now game on again for Ian and game over for Brange. That’s my guess anyway.

They have done all they can possibly do to stop/counter the book (lawyers, threats, frantic PR work etc) and they can’t do much else. They will try to destroy Ian’s cred of course but the MJ book will stand him in good stead against that. I remember the Brange rep “walk away” urging Ian to show restraint and not claim victory for correctly predicting MJ’s death immediately afterwards. I think a few vases/mirrors/flunkies were more than likely smashed that day in the Brangie household. I shed a little tear for them. Not.

Keane that is how it seems to me, and this would not be the first time he did that if you remember, this is a sloppy interpretation, but based on what many of you have come up with too, and not too sure about the first line but this is how it seems to me.

Banned from France, battle has hardened, with Brad, or others, Ian has examined public records, so have others, there is no grace period begin given either by Ian or the the courts, get your self together, your are being urged to cooperate, someone rigged your sandbag, (sting) Angie is trying to juggle too many things at one time, Ian is being harassed by a PI, are they really proud parents? why the flying circus, just a coincidence, change of events, wardrobe fill of S&M sexual parties, they are being investigated, someone was questioned, on record now, has the urge to move around, Ian is writing a book about them, he is a central part of the book just as he was in the MJ back, followed you around, but his eyes were opened, felt MJ was innocent. he has your back in this, and your financial back end..he knows you are bitter and frail, the vampires are in full bloom , sucking the blood out of you, the children look unhappy, questions are being asked, no one believes the answers that are being offered up, too many physical ailments, too many drugs, what is your future going to hold, eternal sunshine, eternal darkness, or eternal pain?

You came up with that tip about the the author that puts himself in the center of the story the way IAN does, and the gaudy glove follows that reference can only really point to IAN and that he also was kind in his book to him and tried to help him (I know many will debate that, but if you have not read the book, don’t) got your back , (I think he is extending the olive branch here) and your back end (he is telling her he will not destroy her market value, box office, her image) bitter and frail , vampire in bloom, he is describing how he sees her, and that people are trying from every direction to get to her and take her down.

Each time a new one comes up though he seems to feel different, so who knows. I think she and Brad will band together to fight the book myself. That is his MO.

I thought I read once that a friend of her mother’s was involved with the play and gave her that role. but can’t find the article. she was 15 and in her mom’s care, so i guess it’s safe to assume her mom endorsed that role.

looking for the article, also found some other interesting quotes, info. jolie’s mom enrolled her in acting classes when she was 11: “Encouraging her children’s creativity, she enrolled a young Jolie at the Strasberg Institute and frequently took both kids to the theater.”

Interesting how so many actors/actresses seem to encourage creativity by enrolling their kids in acting, eh? Lots of other ways to encourage creativity, but always with the acting…

anyhow, the play was called “Room Service” and AJ is quoted in an interview as saying she played a dominatrix and she was 15. further searching around, it appears the part was a male role for the character called wagner. i found the play “room service” and no where is there any mention of a dominatrix or dominatrix-like role. in fact, the only time you see the words “room service” “wagner” and “dominatrix” appear together is in stories about Angelina Jolie. an interview that JV did w/AJ refers to Frau Wagner, which is female. very confusing. thinking that the myth-building was going on even back then.

Also, while searching i ran across a quote about how Marcheline taught her kids to be socially aware and celebrate their Iroquois heritage by volunteering in Indian arts group.

mmm. because the Iroquois heritage was reported to have been entirely made up by marcheline and john v. early in their marriage to make marcheline seem more interesting (she was a young actress).

so i guess Aj was introduced to exploiting different cultures early on. JMO IMO
