Posted on September 30th, 2009 by HisHighness in IUC:Entertainment, IUC:Exclusive

suicideIUC has learned an A-list celebrity tried to commit suicide on August 27. The star had been going through a very rough patch and became extremely despondent when he lost a close member of his family. We hope this star gets back on the right track.

    Maybe John Travolta?

    @Vittoria:
    That’s what i was thinking too Vittoria. All reports said he was terribly despondent over his son’s death, and felt guilty that he’d followed COS doctrine rather than seeking medical help for Jett’s autism. It would be worse than Hell for a parent who had lost a child to feel that way.

    Oh good one. I kept racking my brain trying to figure out who it could be. John Travolta??? Makes perfect sense.

    Vittoria, I would also say John Travolta but how did this story get pass the “blind item” people? There have been stories about him leaving that “religion” he is in but nothing about a suicide attempt. I would imagine he feels a little guilty that he did not get help for his son when the boy was little. If that is the case, I hope he works things out because you can’t change the past. He has to move on for his sake and for the sake of his little girl. He has to remember that she is grieving too.

    I hope he gets away from that group and is able to move forward with some semblance of peace.

    That he is Vittoria. He’s very soft spoken, polite, respectful and not anything like you’d expect a celebrity to be. I think because of his gentle nature, people around here leave him alone pretty much. He does have sleepless nights, or else has his days and nights reversed…lol. He goes for coffee in the middle of the night at a local coffee shop, that’s where i first met him.

    Apologies are in order; mine to be specific. I inadvertantly posted on the other thread re: John Travolta’s alleged suicide attempt.

    found this BI on Buzzfoto:
    “This celebrity is struggling with some serious depression/anxiety. Because of religious beliefs, we’re told the issue isn’t being treated seriously by family members [Cruise]. To make matters worse, the ‘treatments’ that the star has been offered to improve the situation, have only worsened the problem. If these stories are true, we only hope the celeb can get the help they need, including support from their loved ones. Not Jen Garner.”

    Katie Holmes’s family needs to stage an intervention!

    I hope it’s not John T. His son died in January, which means he’s been fighting these suicidal thoughts for 7 months!! I can see why he is questioning his faith in COS if they haven’t been abe to provide any comfort for him!! It is soooooo sad! I think…but not sure…feel free to correct me…but doesn’t COS tell you to get on with it, grief is a sign of weakness and should not be allowed….anyone know for sure??

    I also hope it isn’t JT – his family has been through enough this year. If it is JT, I hope he will seek help, his daughter needs him. If it is true as has been speculated that he may be questioning his involvement with COS and whether that may have contributed to his son’s death, what a heavy load he is carrying. Hopefully the end of the trial on the extortion attempt will help – I can see dreading that, too.

    One of my husband’s coworkers was in a country club locker room after a golf game (can’t remember where) and JT was there. JT came up to him and introduced himself “Hi, my name is John” and they ended up talking for 30 minutes in the sauna.

    @mooki:
    Mooki … do you think there’s any chance this is Jennifer Lopez (a lot of connections to Jennifer Gardner) and not Katie? I think J.Lo is in the CoS as well, isn’t she. I just assumed the blind was referring to J.Lo.

    On Topic … Gosh. I really do believe this blind refers to JT. I feel really bad for him. He has always been one of my all-time favorite actors and to this day, it is my very strong opinion that NO ONE can smoke a cigarette like John! My hubby and I watch all of his movies and enjoy the heck out of them. And I don’t think he has EVER, in all of his career, had an occasion where the press ripped on him for bad behavior. Can anyone think of anything I’m missing? John is a well-loved person, by the public and by family and friends. I pray he gets the help he needs and finds peace. I would say “for his daughter’s sake,” but JT is a good enough man where I feel compelled to say “for his own sake.” He has a lot to offer not only his family, but the rest of the world. It would be far too tragic for us all to lose him because this cult he belongs to calls his condition a fricking WEAKNESS!

    Sadly my vote also is for Sweet John – I think he feels lonely and guilty about the death. Hope he can find himself again. :D

    I think most likely is JT but Joquin Phoenix should deserve a mention as well. They were involved with a cult too many years ago.

    Hm… if it is Travolta, then Scientology’s officially taken a life through it’s brain washing money making scheme… Ought to be enough to make the damn sect illegal.

    I cant imagine how many billions of dollars idiotic ceebrities are giving these assholes, that could be given to causes that are just so much more worthwhile, like the hungy, homeless, the environment, disease research, etc, etc, etc…. but no, they give their fortunes to scientology, so they can get little aliens removed from their bodies and ‘feel better’… christ.
