ReplyI’d love to read about some quaint little B&B’s in the New England states as we are planning a road trip up north shortly and as I am an avid antique shopper, i’d love to know about some hot spots for that as well. We travel to the mountains in Kentucky often, and the crafts i have found there are outstanding in beauty and in quality. I have one quilt that i have had mounted in a frame and use as a headboard (hung on the wall of course) Gorgeous effect for a country bedroom! ReplyI saw that ~! The evening news read that this was a census taker, and he/she (?) was found hanging, with FED cut deeply into his/her chest. Fortunately both hubby and i have licenses to carry concealed weapons. It’s getting to be dangerous just to leave one’s home anymore .

ReplyOne “road trip” i’d love to take, is the Hwy 127 Corridor yard sale, touted as the “world’s longest yard sale”. 654 miles of nothing but yard sales ladies and gents! From West Unity, Ohio to Gadsden, Alabama~! I told hubby about it and he said to get the information and set it up….of course we’d drive the HD 2500 4 x 4 truck to carry my “treasures” home. I love yard sales!!!

She’s identified, so i imagine her children would have issues with this in the news after so many years. How horrible to have to deal with this … now…and publicly . I’d love to meet the people in these states, see their hand made goods, or what ever it is they sell, listen to their stories. Amen to that g/f. The time to nab his sorry azz was 25 or more years ago, and they should have put him in with Bubby The Looooove Prisoner for an equal amount of time to serve. Rape is a hate crime, not a sex crime. The rate of crimes (sexual) against females of all ages in this country is on the rise. In Florida alone, 284 children are listed as missing, many of which are female. It breaks the heart of a mother to read these stats. If these people learn that severe punnishment will be delt them, maybe, just maybe they will think a bit longer before acting on their urges.

ReplyI read the court papers a while back… seemed to me then that the girl’s mother literally through the girl on to him…. she admitted to having sex and drugs before she ever met Polanski ….mother wanted her to get into his movies…… again, not all mothers are indeed such…..
Vittoria, just this past week, my 21 y/o daughter-in-law had to pull my son’s 9 mm , put a load in the chamber, to defend her home from a person who showed up at her door, high on drugs, argumentative, and threatening. This “idiot” offender phoned the Florida HW patrol to complain about her defensive action, and was highly indignant when the law officers informed him that had she shot him, it would be he who they would take to jail. The law in Florida states anyone can shoot a person who they feel is threatening themselves, or their family. I’m proud of the girl. She didn’t vacillate, she took action which , imo, saved the life of a family member. Druggies are not to be dealt with timidly. Also, they have two small children, and live in a condo outside the city limits in a country setting, making it easier for a person with criminal intent to consider her an easy target….surprise~!! Lol Ladies~! I have no choice, hubby grew up in the back woods mountains of Kentucky. His mother never went anywhere without her pearl handled .38 in her pocket, in fact, all the women in his family carried “heat”. I was proud to be included in this great , independant, self-sufficient family….lol. Hubby is a collector of guns; he has over 100 now, and has given me a Dirty Harry .44 mag., and a .38 special….we do practice safety though…wink!!!@Vittoria:

What do you think of the news of Iran’s “secret” nuclear plant? And the testing of two missiles today? We are living through some scarey times i feel. Gone are the days of leaving your front door unlocked while you went shopping in town. And the hard economic times don’t encourage honesty. Some people are desperate, they have been out of work for such a long time, and the Federal Government can’t keep extending Unemployment Benefits forever. WE need jobs…that should be the priority of our president right now.

I was doing some more research on PittY today, mainly going through different sources of bios, and found so many conflicting bits of information. How would one ever know the actual truth to some of these things. Although quite a few mentioned Brad’s sexuality in a strange way to my thinking, such as “dating a 16 y/o Juliette Lewis when he was 10 years older”….Why did they not print , “She was 16 and he was a man of 26 when he began dating her”. Did her introduce her to the marijuana they both became identified with? Another mentioned his “close relationship with males in the beginning of his career”….HUH? ReplyThere seems to be a bit of an Angelina fest on Brit TV at the moment as the hilarious Alexander was on last night and tonight we have the charming Mr and Mrs Smith! (Hey there’s a credit crunch on and all, no TV programmes are getting made, got to fill that air time up somehow, and I hear she’s cheap!). Great opportunity to watch the masters at work I have to say as I normally don’t pay much attention to their “dramatic” talents. From the brief bits of Ange I have seen so far just had to comment on how incredibly manly her body and movement is, she is quite butch! The size of her head is also bizarre – way out of proportion with the rest of her body! As for him I am surprised to say he looks hot in Mr and Mrs Smith. Very rugged and action man-like, and still quite boyish – where did it all go wrong I wonder? She on the other hand looks pretty rough to me despite the significant botox. Looks to me like her body/face had already gone through quite a bit by that time, even way back then. She looks older than him to me in fact. Inneresting!!!

OF COURSE the “Sudanese model” has “given birth”!!! The woman has been pregnant for almost a year. Somebody had to finally say she has “given birth” didn’t they? Wonder why it was you Ms. Agatha and not Ian who reported this?
Isn’t it strange how a woman in Florida can give birth to a baby fathered by Jude Law, a barely B-List actor who hasn’t been in a hit movie in years, and the entire world knows it but a Black woman, a “Sudanese model” gives birth to a baby supposedly fathered by Brad Fucking Pitt, the biggest film star in the world, who currently has a hit movie in theatres, and NOBODY knows about it except Ms. Agatha at ianundercover!!! That is so freaking amazing!! I’m just shocked at this.
ReplyBy the way, to stay on topic . . . if you all want to go the inexpensive route when booking a hotel in the States, might I suggest The Hampton Inn!!! They have the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on in ages. I stayed last week in Myrtle Beach and the Hampton Inn at Broadway on the Beach is AMAZING!! They have an indoor and outdoor pool; steam room, whirlpool and workout room, along with a wonderful breakfast. Great place for a long weekend and the rates are 50% off because it’s off season, but the weather is still warm enough to enjoy being there AND it’s uncrowded now that the kiddies are back in school.

ReplyI have been a guest at Green Mountain Suites and fully agree with your evaluation. It was a fantastic three night stay for us. Not only were the suites beautiful, but the public areas are spacious and give the feeling of a Vermont mountain lodge. This was a great mini vacation and we will certainly stay again when we return to Burlington, VT. High scores for the graciousness of the staff, happy to see you and more than willing to answer questions and visit. Five stars in my book. The wine and beer plus snacks didn’t hurt either.
