IUC Exclusive: Laliberte Profiled in The Independent; RIP Patrick Swayze
One of my all time favorite newspapers is in the U.K. – The Independent. Special thanks to Richard Askwith for asking me to contribute this article on Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte. Guy will become the world’s seventh space tourist next week when he blasts off on a a Russian Soyuz spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. (The Independent)
- RIP Patrick Swayze. I really enjoyed this article by journalist Leigh Sales. As the old song goes, “only the good die young”. (ABC NEWS)

Thanks for finally mentioning Patrick, Ian. He was a decent man in life, and an extraordinary man prior to death. Thanks for all you did for those who follow you, Patrick! Rest in peace and see ya when I get there.
ReplyJust finished reading your very well written article about Laliberte …. what an interesting man… you are right, his trip into orbit will make him even more famous …. and so will your book
… hopefully he will see this in a different light one day ….
Patrick RIP ….
ReplyRIP Patrick, you gave me such wonderful memories of happy times. Dirty Dancing was so very exciting, with your dancing extrodinaire….Ghost made me cry, but rejoyce in the depth of love you and your onscreen wife shared. Funny how life is repeating a role now….

Patrick Swazie singing She’s Like The Wind…….
ReplyNews flash~! Guy Laliberte recreates Lost In Space…lol We Hope Not! How exciting to actually go into space and see our planet from above. Unfortunately, not all of us can afford a ticket….wink!!
ReplyOkay you all, now me and my flu are going to down a nice hot toddy and hit it…later gators!!
ReplyRIP Sweet Patrick! You will be sorely missed. I watched Dirty Dancing with my daughter when she was 12 years old (my third or fourth her first! ha) and it is one of our greatest bonding memories, we still sing the songs to each other and she downloaded the soundtrack on her I-Pod.
ReplyI have similiar memories of Dirty Dancing…”Nobody puts baby in a corner!”…Ahhh Patrick. It’s true then, only the good die young. He never reached the star status of some performers, but he showed character worthy of admiration. I feel so sorry for his much loved wife, to have known such a loving husband only to find him gone too soon. I went to Blockbuster online to order the DVD…i intend to watch it again and again…and smile.@Tamara:
ReplyCurrently watching on CNN Showbiz Tonight with A J Hammer:
“Shocking and disturbing new information on Jennifer Aniston that could end her career”
and
“Jennifer won’t like this”
watching on CNN at 11:35 am EST….eyes glued to the screen.
ReplyAngie Jo? Is this some of your handiwork? Brad’s a druggie (cough, cough, never YOU Angie Jo) and Jennifer has a secret?….Oy Vey….
SEquil to Sherlock HOlmes movie; Brad Pitt may star…..well, here’s another bomb
ReplyOkay, it has to be an attempt to harm Jennifer….Angie Jo you still working on this???
ReplyAJ’s big career ending news is Love Happens came in #4 over the weekend making 8 million bucks. I have never seen the paps put out such rhetoric about a film’s coming in #4 before for any other major star. Seems clear that this “news” about her career ending is just to bash the woman again, especially as A.J.Hammer pointed out in his “news” that “Angelina Jolie stretched her acting abilities to roles with more depth” and followed that with ,”Maybe Jen needs to do the same”…..OBVIOUS AJ…too OBVIOUS!
Big career ending news was that Showbiz Tonight’s daily poll, “Were you surprised that Jennifer’s movie Love Happens Flopped?” (Number FOUR at the box office over the weekend with $8 million)….A.J. Hammer said the results were 83% said they were not shocked. Okay A.J. H. that was 83% of those who were home to see the daily poll and decided to take the time to respond…not a very accurate poll imo, however, i do agree that Jennifer does need to take some risks in her movies, rather than playing the same sort of role over and over. I’m really excited about her new project, the 1940’s all female country band formed in women’s prison…..Jen sings in that one….Now A.J. how’s THAT for a stretch? Hammer pizzed me off with his comment that Jen needs to do as Angie did and grab a gun or play in a mystery (hello!!! Derailed!!)….arghhhhh. Poor Jennifer, she got chyt on and everyone is blaming her ….where is the logic in that??
Replyhttp://www.popsugar.com/5200376
Angie Jo with Z, Pax and some boy she called Shiloh on a shopping tour of Toys-R-Us in France. Poor Shi, she’s looking as if she’s heading the way of Chaz Bono…..
ReplyOK magazine is claiming Jennifer Aniston is pregnant, i hope that this time it is true. I know how it feels as a woman who has suffered a miscarriage, to finally become pregnant again, past the first trimester….crossing my fingers for Jen
ReplyFunny parody of Jennifer Aniston’s history with the magazines…lmboooooo

Reply@Pattyanne:
Replyand what way would that be patty anne ? Can you explain that remark
Which remark are you referring to d?@d:
Reply@Pattyanne:
ReplyLooks like Shiloh is going through some kind of swashbuckler phase …haha loooove the sword in her vest – and her hair pulled up under her hat – too cute!!
@Pattyanne:
Poor Shi, she’s looking as if she’s heading the way of Chaz Bono…..
This one
Reply@Tamara:
ReplyShe really is quite the little actress isn’t she LOL Guess they were telling the truth about that!!
She sure does! They say she asks to be called, “John”…so she’s exploring her masculine side. It’s not unusual for little girls to bond with their father’s over their mothers, and become tomboys. I hope she doesn’t end up a psychological mess as Chaz Bono has, and i am NOT referring to his gender change here. It must have been extremly difficult for Chaz to have a mother who is such an icon as Cher….
Reply@Pattyanne:
I had no idea Cher’s daughter became a man – you learn something new every day! As for Patrick well all I can say is he was one of the few men who could turn me! He was every teenage girl’s dream in Dirty Dancing. He had a beautiful soul IMO. RIP Patrick, so sad for him and his family.
ReplyHow true Keane, good to see you btw, I think every young woman’s heart beat slightly faster while watching him in Dirty Dancing.
ReplyYes, Chaz is midway thru gender change surgery. It must be horrific to be born into the wronng body. Watching Discovery Channel on tv, the miracle of birth is truly that when you see the fetus developing in the womb….@Keane Cyber Queen Supreme:
Another young person in celebrity who i think has had a rough time living up to mom’s beauty and fame is Christie Brinkley ’s daughter, Alexis Joel. She looks exactly like her father, and not a thing wrong with that, but when your mother is counted as one of the most beautiful women in the world, it has to give way to comparrisons. Looks are so important to a pre-teen….just developing their egos. An unwise comment can scar their fragile egos. JMO of course….
Reply@Keane Cyber Queen Supreme:
Hey Keanie Beanie! How are you doing today? Better, I hope. You too, Patty Ann, and KATE … if you’re around anywhere! Bunch of sickies! Glad I’m on the other side of the PLANET, I tell you!
Chastity/Chaz hasn’t become a man YET … though s/he has begun the process, I believe. Drastic measures. I hope she’ll find peace in the decision.
As far as little Shilo is concerned, absolutely nothing odd there. Remember, she’s still too young to be choosing her own clothing! Her parents (nanny) are the ones dressing her. Little ones need to role play. When I was Shilo’s age, I was Lloyd Bridges in Sea Hunt because my dad was a diver and I was a daddy’s girl, and I was going to marry my dad when I grew up. I also was in love with John Brodie from the San Francisco 49ers and I thought black football players were the most beautiful men in the world. I wanted to be a scuba diver and a horse trainer when I grew up … and as I grew up, I was a tomboy to end all tomboys. And here I sit today, the wife of a white man, mother of a young daughter, working in a frigging law office in Alaska! Hmmmm. Where did I go wrong! LOL. And when my stepdaughter’s brother was 5 years old, he wore shorts, rain boots, a baseball cap, a holster and toy guns and CHAPS! It was the cutest thing EVER! Now, he’s a STRAPPING teenager who plays football and works hard on a dairy ranch. He wouldn’t be caught DEAD wearing that outfit, but his mom and I NEVER let him forget it. He’s so big now, there has to be some way to keep him in line! LOL.
ReplyTogi! Morning btw, if it still is. I’m taking Dayquil today, but i’m still slightly groggy…arghhhhh….lol
ReplyI agree with Chaz…life hasn’t been easy for the child of Cher. Saw her “last” final live show, what an amazing body that woman has for her age!!!
Lol @ the description of great childhood in your family. I was a cowboy. I had guns, cowboy hat, and cowboy boots, rode horses from the time i was two y/o….played touch football, baseball, and volly ball. I was much closer to all my male cousins because they played “fun” games…. then i turned into a) Federal Gov. Worker, then b) nurse …. mother of two, Girl Scout Leader, President of the local PTA for four years….in other words, i settled down and learned to enjoy my feminine side…lol. Not that i don’t still take a wild hair once in awhile now though. I did buy a Harley a few years back…shhhhhhhh. I had a cousin who loved kitchen sounds! He would endlessly beat on the pots with the big spoons, and sing along…he has a semi-pro rock bank in Philly now….bless his heart. Growing up is exploring life, learning who and what we are, and learning, hopefully, tolerance toward others….so be it
@Togi:
@Togi:
Ha ha Togi Wogi I’m fine thank you very much. Still a bit sickie-wickie and off worky-orky but that is no bad thing really – it’s given me a chance to do a few things I never get round to doing. Still too pukey-wukey to go to work tomorrow though I reckon! That’s so funny that you wanted to be a scuba diver and marry your dad when you were a child. My first career choice as a kid was “astronaut” if I remember rightly which is pertinent to this thread and old Laliberte features! (You can see I had pretty sky high ambitions even as a very young child!). I remember being obsessed with the planets and the solar system when I was about 6 or 7 and knew all about current space missions and used to tell my teachers all about it! I was also a big fan of climbing trees and often got stuck up them and my brother would have to call my dad to come and get me down! Then I turned into ballet girl and my tree-climbing days were over! (As an aside was just looking up a girl I remember from my childhood on google whose life was so devoted to ballet that her mum opened up a ballet school so she could study at home. She then started training in Paris and began commuting back and forth every week from about the age of 12. Was just wondernig what became of her so looked her up and saw she was in the Royal Ballet but not a principal dancer from what I can see. Just shows how tough it is that one as devoted and talented as her never progressed much further than the corps de ballet. Anyway, I digress!). And yeah I have the same experience with a little boy in my wider family who was obsessed with Barbie as a very young kid. Now he is a real boy’s boy and would never be seen dead with a doll! Just goes to show that small children do not have a very defined sense of gender identity!
ReplyTogi, i can’t help but wonder how growing up the daughter of Angelina Jolie will effect Shiloh though. We’re aware of Jolies mental problems, her drug problems, family issues….how will all this effect the kids in general, but Shiloh who will have such high expectations from the loons if noone else. I’m happy to see that she is asserting her individuality now…hopefully it is her idea, and not a pap’s topic for more photo ops (contrived). I just feel so badly for all those kids. We had such fantastic times as kids growing up, letting our imaginations run as we played, but i wonder what life is like for these kids when the doors to the Chateau close behind them. If Brad truly has moved out lock , stock and barrell….who knows what Jolie will do then. Poor little kids.
Reply@Pattyanne:
Patty Anne that’s so funny, love the idea of you on a Harley! And I would definitely say that as an adult wth all that motorbike-riding and Girl-scout leadering (not a word I know, but I am making it up for you) you are still very much in touch with your masculine side!
Reply@Pattyanne:
I think the biggest problem will be her lack of a relationship with her more than anything else. I don’t think Shiloh has enough contact with her mother for it to affect her too much!
BTW congrats on the article Ian – you are one busy little beaver right now hey?
ReplyBeats her more than ample chest and gives a Tarzan yodel@Keane Cyber Queen Supreme:
ReplyBTW, i had to give up touch football at age 13 due to being tackled rather than touching the cloth flying out of my back jeans pocket….boyzzzzzzz! Not THERE! lol. As to the Lowboy, my kids made me give it up….dang nabbit! Said they wanted grandma to be around for awhile so their kids would have a built in babysitter….humph!
ReplyWhat is up with the delayed posting on this site?
Reply@KramerVs.Kramer:
ReplyHi KvK: It seems that censorship/screening for approval is in effect. Just my opinion.
Don’t know for sure KvK. Possibly it’s closed to all but registerd posters. If you know anyone who can post who hasn’t registered, then most likely it’s a glitch. I know if i don’t sign in, i can’t post…@KramerVs.Kramer:
Reply@ladybert62:
ReplyI don’t know, that’s not such a bad thing is it? I mean, Ian has a book to promote, tours, interviews, and he also advertises this blog. Does he really want the likes of the Cat spewing nonsense? I’m all for free speech Ms L – I enjoy the back and forth of ideas even when they differ, even if they get mildly offensive, but if someone is going to be abusive either with language or threat there has to be a line drawn somewhere. Now, I agree, one person’s idea of vulgar is another persons funny, so it’s a very fine line. But in the end, I think Ian has every right to ban anyone he finds offensive and to request that you register, after all he is the owner of this blog, we are just guests. I registered, it didn’t matter to me, what’s the big deal? As always, JMO of course! hahahaha! I don’t use that on Gull Dang at all so it seems funny saying it now – JMO
@Tamara:
ReplyHi Tamara. I have to say I agree there has to be SOME WAY to control offensive spewage. I am all for free thinking and the right to our own opinions, and voicing those differences … but voicing differences and opinions ultimately must be done in a respectful manner or nobody listens! I don’t swear. Period. I’m not supposed to swear, and I don’t. I find spiteful vulgarity extremely offensive … especially when it is aimed at ANYONE in particular. A few posters really got out of hand. They were NOT stating differences of opinion at all. They were merely spewing garbage. So is everyone to suffer because these cowards anonymously come on a blog site and are just plain mean? That impinges on MY right, and YOUR right, and everyone else’s rights. JMO, of course. But it’s a strong opinion and one not easily swayed by the “right to speak freely” argument. You can speak freely … but the platform, the audience, and the social norm of the audience needs to be considered if you expect to be heard. Again, JMO. I’m full of ‘em today! LOL
@Tamara:
Also, just to add a couple more cents worth …
This is certainly not the first site I’ve come across that requires registration in order to post. When I do medical research and I want to read the comment threads, I have to register in order to even READ them, let alone post a question or comment. Actually, I’ve found more sites than not require registration. Of course, the sites I am talking about are not GOSSIP sites and some are on the more professional level, so it makes sense that posters need to give up some information in order to be there. Still. It’s a good way of keeping people ACCOUNTABLE for the things they write and say. If you don’t want to be held accountable for your words, don’t use them. Simple.
ReplyTogi and Tamara, well said. While it is true we have the First Amendment granting us free speech, we also have laws to protect others from what we may “freely” say. Slander laws, liable laws, etc. A society living without laws to govern in no longer civilized. Registering in order to post is not a punnishment, it’s a rule enacted by the blog owner and a stipulation for those who want to post on his site. If a person chooses freely not to register, then they also must be in agreement not to want to post on that particular blog. I fail to understand the logic of complaining about registering. I too register on most every other site in which i do business, or seek information, legal, medical, or of special interest. It doesn’t deter me one bit, i have nothing to hide. I stand by my words, written or spoken and take full legal responsibility for what i say. Only cowards hide their true identity, or liars. But then that is JMO
Reply@ladybert62:
Reply…well…. I think your opinion is wrong …… I HAVE to register … just like everybody else….. and I LIKE everybody to register…… because I like to know whom I am talking too….. I believe you do not have to register ? ….obviously your have an outstanding approval rate …. you must be way ahead of me…
Hello Aggie~! Good evening, so nice to see you. Hope you had a good day at work. For having a desk job, i’d find my feet aching when i got home..never figured that one out…lol
I’m about to call it a night though, i have an early morning doctor’s appointment, this danged flu is keeping me sleepy all the day….I’ll look forward to seeing you tomorrow…
Reply@Pattyanne:
ReplyPatty !!! I had NO idea how sick you are….. pleazzzzeee get healthy soon…. !!!!… you got me worried… that flu of yours takes far too long to go away….
@Pattyanne:
Reply… what about some hot Bailey ????
‘ spachell ‘ posters who don’t have to register feel free to complain about censorship/screening for approval ..hahahaha……… I register …and do not need a spokesperson …. already have publicist ….:)
Reply@ladybert62:
Hey there LadyB, hope all is well for you x x x x
ReplyWell I don’t have to register so that is clearly favouritism and special treatment by the blog owner at work while he cruelly makes other poor and humble posters register. To me this is an outrage against humanity, free speech and things of that nature. It is virtually a Dickensian situation of extreme and ungodly injustice towards the worthy many to serve the needs of the unworthy and privileged few. For this reason I hereby declare that all posters who have previously not had to register must register forthwith to put themselves on the same level as all the ‘umble posters who have to register. They should then wear sackcloth and beat themselves with a stick for the next month as penance. Those who have had to register must eat sweet buns and have their feet massaged by said sackcloth wearers every day for a month to compensate. This is the word of the lord of the IUC blog and you will know my word is the law etc etc. To register or not to register, that is the hot topic today folks. Who even cares about that hot mess Brangelina any more?!
ReplyWhat do you think? To register or not to register? Join the debate! Is it an infringement of our basic human rights as posters on an internet gossip blog or is it just some new-fangled high tech schema designed to protect the privileged registering few against the mysterious evil troll like people wot come from other gossip blogs. I could talk about this all day, and yano what I think I will! Discuss.
ReplyBTW I hear I am a great actress as I don’t sound anything like the people wot somebody knows wot “spent time at oxford”. I’m not exactly sure what spending time at oxford means, whether it means going there for a day trip or visitng your great aunt mildred or something but wot I do know is it doesn’t sound much like “gaining an academic degree/masters/phd”. Wot do I know tho after all as I am probably just pretending to have gone there being such a “great actress” and all. Tho this was somewhat confusing to me as surely if I am a great actress then I wld sound like people someone knows “who have spent time” at Oxford no? If I don’t I wld ergo be a crap actress no, not the other way around? Anyway,I digress, there is no logic to this so I will just let it go! BTW oxbridge grads do in fact read and use internet sites (shock!) just like other mortal beings do. Contrary to popular opinion, like celebs we do not float above the firmament in golden chauffeur-driven aircraft, we do regular things like regular folks do. NB also I do not “jack off” or whatever the charming expression was to discussions about myself on the net. I generally think when I bother to look: hilarious whackjobs! Hope that clears a few things up! I will await the next batch of crackpot theories about myself with great anticipation of future amusement!
ReplyHonestly, I can’t remember if I did register but am not opposed to it!
Reply@keane cyber queen supreme:
ReplySAMCC – I do believe you’ve still got a fever Keane! haha Look, I didn’t have to register either. Now, before the conspiracy theories send ripples through the internet, I think it might have something to do with my email address. If you are using a bogus email and the blog isn’t able to successfully send you an email then you do have to register, I’m pretty sure it has nothing to do with being a Gull Dang so don’t even go there. However, I did register out of respect for Ian. I do not think my first amendment rights have been violated at all, in fact I’m pretty sure that I can say whatever I want on this blog, I can voice my opinions, I can argue or agree with anyone, nope, don’t feel violated at all. For those who are opposed to registering – I ask you, why?? You can still hide behind “Guest”, you don’t have to give your real name…so what’s the problem?
I didn’t register……at least i dont’ remember ?? but i can post ?
ReplyWell Keane, i registered to vote, registered with my political party of choice, registered with my state for a driver’s license….i have no problem with disclosing my identity.
Reply@Tamara:
ReplyIts his site, Ian can do whatever he wants.
@d:
ReplyLOL – yes you can post! I see you!
Peek-a-boo, i see you….in full SAIL@d:
Reply@d:
Democracy in action folks, the power of the people is a wonder to behold! And no-one’s first amendment rights are being contravened whatsoever, no sirree. Let’s all say a praise the Lord and Hallelujah for the freedom of bored women at work across the world to comment indiscriminately on random gossip blogs. This is what our forebears burned their bras for, yes sir.
Reply@peterpan:
Replyno worries Peter – that’s just the resident Queen of Mean flexing its muscles….you’ll do well to just ignore her posts if you don’t want to feel the wrath. She doens’t like people who disagree with her Oxford education !! AND welcome aboard – nice to see some new blood on here
@d:
Now, now d do try to get a sense of humour! There was no wrath in my posts, merely a tongue firmly in cheek. You need to lighten up my friend, all that anger will give you indigestion! And as for my education (thanks for yet another shout out from you about that BTW, Oxford should be paying you for marketing the number of times you mention them!), I thought general consensus was that I didn’t go there? Y’all need to make up your minds on that one! Keep trying to stir the pot though d, looks lke you have nowt better to do right now. If you keep on plugging away at it one day one of your attempts may work and you will gain the love and admiration of your cyber friends. Wherever you got your education from (sorry forgot where you said that was, perhaps you’d like to repeat for those of us who didn’t pay attention?), they clearly didn’t teach you much about how to be an effectibe nuisance on the interwebs. So far you get a big D from me! Ha ha.
Reply@Keane Cyber Queen Supreme:
Replyoh dear Keane while i’m sure there have been instances in life where you’ve had someones tongue firmly in your cheek, anyone with half a brain can tell when you’re being sarcastic and not just “funny” cause frankly you don’t do funny very well. Must be that uptight British sense of humour wah ? As for my education, i don’t go spewing on about it so i’m pretty sure i’ve never mentioned it, but it was a good enough education to know how to spell….unless effectibe is a new word i’m not familiar with so i guess you get a big fat F (as in U) in spelling. Now run along dear i’m sure Ian has an ass that need kissing
@d:
That was beautiful d, thank you so much! And thank you for your kind summation of my education, humour and even a detected typo, ’twas a wondrous thing! If you want to play that game though I would just like to point out that sentences generally start with a capital letter (as far back through my education as I can remember in any case); when you are indicating possession this is generally marked by an apostrophe (as in someone’s not someones); “cause” generally has the letters b and e before it; sentences generally end with full stops and “wah” most certainly is not a word in any sense whatsoever! So yes while which ever esteemed institution taught you such admirable if not faultless spelling, they unfortunately stopped short somewhat on grammar, punctuation and general semantics! Seriously, can you tell me where it was though BEcause I think I need to refresh my written skills and there surely couldn’t be a more desirable establishment than the one you graduated from. Go on, be a dear, I only want to be as learned and edumacated as your dear self. Oh and as for your assessment of my humour I would just say that from one who has never managed to raise so much as a titter amongst the worldwide internet community, you really aren’t one to judge now are you d sweetheart? Keep trying with the provocation tactics and all though, it might one day win you some friends!
Reply@Keane Cyber Queen Supreme:
Replyaww how kind of you to take the time to respond to me so quickly. I do so enjoy our banter. It amuses me greatly how you are just UNABLE to NOT respond to someone. You must truly be a joy to be around in the real world. Now hugs and kisses darling, i must dash off – TTFN
@d:
Oh d believe me when I say dear, I know just how much you enjoy stirring the pot and trying to engage someone in a pointless fight! You have been hanging around this site for days now desperately trying to bait somebody, anybody into fighting with you then running back to FF to crow about your relative success or failure to your assembled cyber chums. Don’t you think it is a bit late in day to play the “so above it all card” considering? If you can’t tell me which great college you are a graduate of and why you can neither spell, punctuate or mean then I would say it probably is a good idea to run off with your tail between your legs as you are doing. The “so where did you get your education from then seeing as you find mine so hilarious?” or the “so what amazing career do you have since you are so disparaging of mine?” question always sends them running for the hills so it is no surprise. You’re all just so afraid to put your money where your mouths are aren’t ya? And as for your attempts to be a good little troll all I can say is “d” always has and always will stand for “dull” in my view! Even as a troll you are an epic failure. All I can say is I hope you have something to feel good about in your life somewhere. Maybe your FFriends can think of something. BBHYDCBS!
ReplyLOL feeling lousy makes for a good sense of humor I see, Keane sweets, you are registered. Most people that post here are, we both did at the same time.
16 pages of registered posters, some may not know they are. Used another name with their email , some did that, people tend to forget when they do that.
I didn’t even know there was a story up with a tribute to PS, such a decent man. Such a horrible cancer, bless his family, Patrick is in a better place. I remember when this disease took Michael Landon, so quickly. Still no closer to a cure.
Hello all, hope all are better, Keane, Patty Anne. I think it will be awhile for me yet.
Reply@Keane Cyber Queen Supreme:
since you’re so eager to know ALL about me (are you courting me Keane??) i unfortunately didn’t go to college, but did manage to find work as a IT person for a government department. Suits me – pay is great and the people are great !! As for being a troll, calling people on their BS is not trolling IMO. And thanks for asking – i have a great life : husband who adores me , a brilliant and handsome child and 2 of the best dogs in the whole wide world !! Oh and a cat that is like a mountain lion – he’s awesome. So there you have it…my life in a neat little package.
And for my amusement – i frequent celebrity gossip sites but i refuse to watch reality TV – how many dancing /singing shows does the world really need ???? The Brange are of special interest thus why i came to this site – someone at another site told me about the marvelous insights here. I lurked for a long while and watched people get brow beat by yours truly, so yah i don’t like you much….and you don’t like me. So lets just agree to not comment to each other and the rest of the world on here won’t have to read our petty little jabs at each other.
To the readers of ianundercover, i , D, promise to hear forth not respond to Keane and will only comment on my opinion on other bloggers. There all happy now ???
ReplyGood to see you are still kicking Kate. I saw my doctor this morning and mine is simply an acute case of sinus infection. I’m on antibiotics, and will be fine in a matter of days…Hallelujah~!! I’m so tired of feeling sleepy and tired…lol
Good girl Keane~! You registered, AND you used your real nick! Very bold and brave. Some might have something to hide and therefore register a phony nick yano, cowards usually do. It’s much harder to be insulting to another individual when it’s face to face, or so i’m told…lol. @Kate:
Replyi think i’ll go parasailing….i hear it’s quite exhilarating, altho the air tends to thin at high altitudes…gasp!
Reply@Kate:
Replyhow can you see how many are registered Kate ??
Laughing at d’s question…any registered user can see how many are registered, when they registered, etc. We are not a “secret society” on IUC….geesh d. Ease up hun. No boogie men in the closet here.
We’re actually sharing in the same interest as you; the Brand and the evil they do….lol.
ReplyWelcome to IUC d . Glad to have a new member who registered on IUC on Sept 24th, 2009 at 13:31:51. Enjoy the topics and the pleasant chat about them. You’ll find in time that we’re not such a bad bunch, and have become rather good friends with many who post here. Hopefully your reason to become registered is to join in , in which case i say again….welcome new member~!!
Reply@d:
ReplyHi d, when you are signed in, and I am referring to the discussion forum that rarely gets used, there is a tab that says-Members List-if you click on that you can see each posters name and the date they registered. For instance it will show that I did not register tip June , even though I have posted since around Jan. When you are signed in then (depending on your computer) you do not have to keep putting your user name in or a email so it is more convenient. Most of the people registered it will say they have not posted becaused that is related to the discussion forum, not the blog.
@d:
So if life is so great for you d, tell me why is it that my education and career is so threatening to you? I just find it interesting from a sociological perspective to be honest. You just can’t let it go and it just makes you sound oh so bitter, insecure and jealous. Like a lot of your friends you seem to have a massive chip on your shoulder about it. Or is it that you would love to write me off as a trailer-dwelling etcetera etcetera but you can’t because of these small details? Also for someone who professes to be so above all this internet baiting and infighting and so determined to walk away from it all unlike myself who just can’t let it go, here you still are hey? Slight contradiction huh? And as for not commenting on my posts and not engaging with me in any way whatsoever I would have to say I would welcome that warmly. However I would also appreciate it if you would hold off baiting my friends and trying to do anything in your power to stir the pot on this blog whatsoever – do you think you might be able to manage that too? As you have such a high-paying, rewarding and respectable job in the govt and such a great family and personal life I’m sure you would be more than capable of restraining yourself from indulging in such schoolyard, petty and juvenile behaviour non? And as for your views on whether you and I like each other I would certainly agree that you most definitely do not like me, but if I were totally honest I would not say my opinion of you would be accurately described as dislike. Rather, I think of you more as someone who is very small and cowardly and afraid to say anything about themselves or give much of an opinion on anything for fear of becoming the object of attack. Instead you are the small, quiet, weak child who desperately tries to gain favour with the stronger, more vocal bullies by running up to their targets, pulling on their hair and running away again before anyone can catch you. No substance, no personality, no intelligence, no nothing, just a fraidy cat looking for protection from the tougher girls by doing stuff she thinks will please them. I’m sure your child will be proud of that. So in answer to your question no I don’t dislike you d, I feel sorry for you and I have no respect for you. So now that we have cleared that up we no longer need communicate with one another huh? Good.

Yes I think the combo of fever and the expressed view that having to register on a gossip blog was in direct contravention of someone’s human rights drove me to near hysteria earlier on! What a bloomin’ storm in a teacup, I really have never heard the like! Do any of these people have real problems, watch the news or have a real life? That really took the biscuit for me today! Anyhoo, sorry to hear you’re still not well, I’m very much in the thick of it still too. Think there is a nasty virus other than swine flu going round the UK right now. Lots of tales of vomiting and stomach upsets from friends and colleagues. Swine flu might be preferable to be honest!

Okay Keane … TO YOUR CORNER, YOUNG LADY!!! I have another “reply” coming for you in a moment.
d … good idea to NOT interact with a poster you do not like. The fighting does get tiresome. Thanks and welcome to the board. There hasn’t been much going on in Brangeville, obviously, so everyone is getting bored and irritable. That’s when I play my go-to game … Text Twist 2 (the 8-letter combos). Lord, I love that game!
Reply@keane cyber queen supreme:
“BTW oxbridge grads do in fact read and use internet sites (shock!) just like other mortal beings do.”
Keane, you have absolutely NO IDEA how hard I laughed when I read this!
It’s the very thing I find myself saying, except I slip the title “Christian” in where you have “oxbridge grads.” There are certain things ALL of us do, aren’t there? I would certainly think net surfing would be right up there on the list.
ReplyI am a little behind, but this nasty relevation about Mckenzie and her daddy, and Mick Jagger, whoa! Does that just fade to black? Yikes, is Mick denying this or anything? Has anyone heard anything at all? I seem to remember Angelina may have been one of his victims as well. While there are people busting the drug docs in Hollywierd, maybe someone should focus on busting this wierdos who think it is okay to bed the daughters of their friends at 10 years old. I shudder to think how many there may be.
ReplyIAN good article- if you could write it over, go back to the beginning, would you have left those parts out?
It saddens me that Laliberté has taken issue with my biography of him, because the book was intended – like this article – as a tribute to a man I admire enormously. Like him, I began my career as a street performer. I have vivid memories of living in London in the late 1980s, playing saxophone in various Tube stations. It was Laliberté who helped me, and others like me, to realise that street performers had a chance to rise further in life.

ReplyI refuse to believe Mackenzie’s revelations. IMO she is a crack whore looking for money for her next fix. I agree that he did turn her on to coke and yes I think he did put the needle in the first time, but John Phillips was so so so fucked up the last 15 years of his life I doubt he could even get it up. I think she wrote this sensational book for the money and publicity because her career is in the crapper and the person she is talking about is dead and cannot defend himself. IDK about Mick Jagger though, it seems she will get a shit storm from his attorney’s but apparently her publisher thinks its worth it. I dont believe her and I hate that she wrote this book, screams desperate for money to me!!!
Some publisher probably bailed her out of jail with the promise to write a tell all, even if its not true, so many of the players involved are long gone.
ReplyCan it possibly be true that Angie and Brad are NOT breaking up? Angie takes Z, Shiloh, and Pax to another pap’s op (Toys-R-Us) in France (twins still absent at more than one year old?)….while Brad flew to U.S. to attend Clinton’s Global Initiative..AND brought along Maddox~! I’m shocked Angie let him leave the country with Mad…appears to be an effort to quiet the splitsville rumors..hummmmmm
Reply@Pattyanne:
ReplyOr..an effort to say to the world, see how we can all get along…we might break up but Brad will always be their father…
Mmmmmmmm,…… and whom might this be referring to?

Today’s Blind Items
What upper list celebrity parents have only seen their child/children for a total of five days over the past two months. The parents feel like the child/children get in the way too much and our parents have way too much going on in their lives to be concerned with their child/children right now.

ReplyThanks for the other view Tamara. How very true, i hadn’t considered that a possibility, but with Angie Jo, anything is possible in her world of fantasy…
What do you think of that eekey beard Brad has to wear for his next movie role? I think he looks horrible with that mess, but maybe that’s the role? A horrible looking dirty old man…lol@Tamara:
ReplyPatty I think the beard is probably for a role in a movie, jmo. I doubt the blind is them EL never writes anything negative on them. I think they are just co-parenting myself and taking Mad out of the country is not a big deal. It is not as though Brad would keep him. The law certainly would not be on his side if he did something like that.
McKenzie, I suppose she could have made it up, can’t imagine someone wanting their friends and family to know something like that, she will never live this down. His sister says she told her about it 10 years ago. I don’t know the whole story , didn’t watch the interviews, but she should have revealed it while he was alive if she was going to do this. He would not be the first father to go to jail for this. I don’t really know what to think, did any of this happen when she was underage? What about with Mick Jagger, when did that take place? It would be interesting to see if others come forward and accuse him also.
ReplyNicole, Naomi, and Jessica Are Women Dining For Women
Thu, 09/24/2009 – 3:30pm by
They were joined by famous faces like Wendi Murdoch and Liya Kebede for the event, which followed a day of meetings at the UN about issues affecting women of the world. The meal was hosted by Queen Rania of Jordan, who mingled with other celebs like Jessica Alba, Naomi Campbell, and Veronica Webb.
What?? And No Angie Jo? How could she choose a photo shoot with the kids at Toys-R-Us over the day of UN meetings over issues facing women of the world? Guess the Twins (cough, cough) needed some new toys so Pax, Z , and Shiloh had to take mom shopping again….
ReplyI liked Tamara’s take on it, for Brad to bring Maddox to the U.S. without Angie would give the appearance that they are working in cooperation as parents…Would take a lot of the sting out of the final separation announcement yet to come.
For MacKenzie..don’t know. I can’t for the life of me imagine any valid reason for any woman to publically announce her father had an incestuous relationship with her, which later became consentual…for 10 years~! Having worked with some young women who had been in such relationships for a much shorter period of time, and at much younger ages (minors in fact) i know they assume the blame for it occuring, and feel a great deal of protectivness toward the initiate , often making excuses and becoming extremely protective of that person. The damage it does to the psyche though, in most cases, lasts a lifetime. Coping with the memories is the best one can hope for, and is only achieved in the cases i am familiar with, with the help of much counseling. Either way, no one will positively know “the truth” of this matter, but i know of some people who are child molesters who were once considered very high in their communities, they are very good at hiding it well. I just say God Bless the entier Phillips family, and hope they are able to cope with this information…It’s not a fun subject, but worse to have lived it imo.
Remember when Elvis Presley began dating a 13 y/o Priscilla Presley in Germany? And when he brought her to Graceland to complete her high schooling and groom her to be his wife? I think even with celebrities, pediphelia, incest….happens.
Jmo. Not an easy subject either way though.
Reply@Pattyanne:
ReplyI am sticking to my belief that Mackenzie has come out with this horrible book for money and money only!!! Why else would someone write a book like this? If her story is to be believed the sex was consensual for the 10 year period, what is her point in doing this now?? M O N E Y she has a drug habit to support, she has no other means of supporting herself or her habit, she has no career, she went to jail last year, someone and they say it was her sister but now I have my doubts paid her bail!
Oops, had to sign in again. I suppose i had a “time out”…. Yep, i have to say i don’t understand how writing a book about an incestuous affair with one’s father that became consensual and lasted for a ten year period could possibly be carthartic, but I think that to do this to support herself and earn money by devulging family secrets so dark she risks never getting another job in HW, and to know how this will affect her son, and her family members….don’t know. It would be a radical move with a short term payoff imo….I’m just speculating here. @Tamara:

ReplyHi Patty… glad you are feeling better !
morning. i really think this breakup story is crap and the only way to stay in the news is to stay together as without out each other they are nothing and them and the tabs must keep poor jen in the traingle otherwise there is no interest in them any more. they and their kids and adoptions have become so boring that only the speculation and anticipation of them breaking up is now what keeps them in the news because they are now a middle aged couple with 6 kids and more to come.
Replymaybe they should have a reality show not that i would want to watch but the loons can watch and swoon and get a orgasm watching them live this trainwreck. jmo
@Kate:
Replywell i registered, but cannot sign in as no password received…..so much for that LOL
@jan/sa:
ReplyLOL jan/sa, i loved your suggestion that Angie Jo and Bradley have their own middle aged couple with six kids and counting Reality Show…. How about Ange and Brad Plus 6? You are right imo, they are has beens doing everything they can to hold on to what they have amassed over the past four years as The Brand. She can never go back to the Angelina Jolie of Tomb Raider days, although i did read that they stuffed her bras and used spanx to pull in a waistline for her during that shoot…as for Brad? He’ll never be HW’s Golden Boy ever again. Too much wear and tear on that old , worn out bod i feel. They aren’t intelligent, but street wise, and knowing this, are compiling all the “toys and goodies” they can. Angie said once in a videoed interview that her goal in life is, “To hang on to what i’ve now got”….uh huh.
@Togi:
Sorry cyber-mom! Illness plus people talking nonsense on the net and trying to stir up trouble makes me feisty (or feistier!) than usual, sorry!
Reply@Togi:
Yes and that would most definitely hodl true for celebrities, royalty, people who went to Eton, Oxbridge grads, you name it! People are all just people no matter how famous, posh, educated, religious or whatever they might be. They genuinely do the exact same things that all common or garden people do. Which is why it was no big surprise to me that Angie Jo reads and at one point was commenting on this here site. No-one is above using the internet!
Reply@Ms Agatha:
Thanks and it is my pleasure! I swear I make myself laugh commenting here this site is so ridiculous – there’s just so much material for satire and ridicule!
