No Words Today

This is a very sad day.  I’m off to the funeral of an amazing boy who tragically died at age six a few days ago.  My thoughts and prayers are with the parents who are incredible, first class people.  I’m at a loss for words.  RIP A.P.R.  – you will be missed forever.

My condolences. Little kids shouldn’t die, it just shouldn’t be possible, and they shouldn’t suffer or feel fear or pain or hunger. Its one of the things about about our existence that I just don’t understand why it has to be this way.

Can you all spare some prayers for those that Ian continuously hunts down for nothing other than sheer pleasure and malice while you’re at it? People like Prince Charles and even (shock!) Angelina Jolie, who actually doesn’t hurt or molest or get in any of your faces personally either.

Maybe you can spare a prayer for me, who’ll just be labeled a Jolie-loving freak, when I’ve never even watched one film of hers, I just loathe and detest how spiteful this site has become and what really motivates its writer.

Scary, lots of people survive heart attacks though, the percetage is not as low as you might think. He’s still young to have one, unless he has a lot of other complications though (which it sounds like he has), in which case then he may be in trouble.

His life has been a circus from pretty much day one. There is an inevitability about it unfortunately.

LA Times now reporting Jackson dead. I wonder if it was a suicide. Jackson was reported to be in cardiac arrest and not breathing when the police arrived at his home.

TMZ is despicable. I’m sure he wasn’t dead when they first reported it but they just figured the chances weren’t good for him so what the hell let’s be the first in case he does die. That way they look like they broke the story. If he had survived then no big deal. If was 50/50 anyway. Not much of a risk to go for broke and get in there first.

That’s what I have always thought. If he wanted to prove his innocence he should have gone to court the first time, if he was innocent then he would never escape that association without doing so. That’s why I always found it very suspicious. That and what his ex-manager said about him in a UK doc, it was pretty damning.

I never believed he molested that boy who charged him, in fact i remember at the time it was said by many that the mother instructed the boy to make that accusation, following a failed attempt for money from MJ to keep quiet. My belief that he did not molest the boy is based on Michael’s childlike quality, his basic “innocence”. He may have a homosexual sexual preference, but i don’t believe that children ever entered into it as Michael appeared to treasure children and childhood in general. Not having had one himself, i believe he lived his childhood through them…hence his afinity to having them entertained at Neverland Ranch, and in his company. Only God and Michael know the truth to this, and people will forever speculate about it once a person is accused, whether they are absolved or not, it sticks forever. JMO

Ryan O’Neal seems to be having a hard time with Farrah’s death. I think those two were soul mates, they always reconnected through their life paths, and seemed to share a deep , emotional bond. Farrah went through so much pain during her treatments in attempts to stop the cancer, it was difficult to watch her film documenting her treatments. I wonder if her son Redmond will ever get it together? It is such a shame that he didn’t while it would mean so much to his mother…Redmond and Ryan will be so lost without Farrah guiding them along imo

@ karenab – yeah she didn’t fit the image she has acquired by tha point at all, she was a very sweet, shy, quiet lady really. Admittedly she was a little odd, she’s obviously led a very peculiar life in a very rarified world, she had no real concept of what it was to do housework at all for instance, had had staff all her life. But she wasn’t a freak, and Jermaine was adorable. But the way they were so very quiet and seemed afraid to even raise their voice made me think their upbringing must have been not that great. To be so quiet and reticent isn’t really a normal way to be.

Lots of people said Latoya was stuck up in BB, but like you, I just thought she wasnt used to things like housework, but I’m sure she tried to muck in. She reminded me of a little fawn, like Bambi. You felt like she needed protection, but certainly there is also a strength there too.

I would not really defend him, but I do have respect for the fact his family is grieving deeply right now. I am sure even Timothy McVeigh and Jeffry Dahlmer’s families did as well when their son’s did. It does not matter what ones loved one does in life, it the grief is the same when they pass on. In fact, I would suspect it is greater as those loved ones carry the grief of the victims as well, and wonder if they did anything at all or did not do something that would have or could changed the outcome for all.

No, i checked into that and Michael has sole custody rights to his three children. I’m in agreement that the eldest sister Rebbie would be the likely choice to raise them now, she’s never been in the spotlight, and has led a rather normal, for the Jackson’s, life to date. No matter what anyone’s personal opinion of Michael Jackson is, he has made music history. His album Thriller is still the highest in sales for a new album, and the songs he wrote either alone or with someone such as Sir Paul McCartney will go on forever. He was a major talent in the industry imo.

Actually it was more or less a “slip” from a major news station reporter last evening when mentioning some detail regarding Columbia Productions pulling out of Moneyball. The anouncer said in a matter of fact way that it worked out so that Brad didn’t have to stay in California but was able to fly to their home in France to spend his summer with his family, Angie and the kids. Sounded sort of like a deliberate slip if you get my meaning…lol

    Nancy Grace: the pedophile angle.

Larry King Live: Distant cousins or others who knew him

    Geraldo: Was it murder?

    MTV: In Memoriam

The media frenzies really don’t sit well with me. Like or dislike (fill in name of deceased celeb) we do not need to hear about it 24/7. Please!

Maybe trite wasn’t the right word. But most of the information I know about the family is from that film. Its actually pretty good. Angela Basset plays his mom, Vanessa Williams is in it. I can’t remember who played Joe Jackson, but I would recommend it. Kinda cheesy, but one of those movies that I will always click onto if its playing. I guess I thought it sounded trite because movies and books can blow things out of proportion to be more entertaining. So, I’m not sure the word I should’ve used.

I think that one of the reasons why the girls seem to talk so quietly and may seem weird is because of the paradox that they grew up in. The family was supposed to strict Jehovah’s Witnesses – which means no music, no dancing, no this, no that. And they’d get beatings from their father if they didn’t keep in line with that strict religious code. Then, at the very same time, they’re being told to rehearse dance steps, go over musical numbers for hours everyday and go out and perform for the world. That would be absolutely mind-boggling on a little kid. One minute – “SINNER – on your way to hell”, next minute “You’re a performer, now get out there and get it right, Goddamnit, or I’ll beat the shit out of you.” Crazy home environment…

Kate – this is definitely going to be another circus, probably worse than ANS because at least she was in the Bahamas and Florida. This one’s going to be in our own backyard. I assume, although I don’t know about heart attacks, that they must’ve taken some blood to analyze,, either before or after. I wonder if the family is going to have to deal with an autopsy… I’m sure that would be rough on them and would drive the media speculation through the roof.

I do wonder if this “cardiac” condition might have been from chemicals he ingested. I say that coming from a completely personal place – I know a little of how your heart just starts to stop.

Two of the more notable rumors going around involve the death of actors Jeff Goldblum and Harrison Ford. These are completely untrue, but are being spread rapidly, largely due to how quickly they can be shared on social media sites like Twitter.”

We’re going to have to agree to disagree on this one. Ever since I read a really disturbing piece in Vanity Fair several years back, I have loathed MJ. He is a twisted pice of caca and I for one am glad no more little boys can be harmed ever again. I’m not that bright, but my intuition is generally pretty strong. I had feelings of sadness for how depraved he had become, but however he got there……he was there with his Jesus juice.

Here is the link to the piece int the VF archive. Read it for yourself.

I know. It broke my heart when I first read it back in 2004. I really wanted to believe that he was a victim of extortion, which does happen to celebrities or others with money. I was a huge fan like so many. He was innovative and cool and could dance in a way that a white girl like me could only dream about. After that, there was just no way that I could continue to believe that point of view any longer.
Maybe I’m extra sensitive in a way that only a parent can be. If you haven’t had kids you cannot imagine the lioness that comes out in you and hurting kids is the absolute worst. Previously a total pacifist, I do believe I could kill someobdy who hurt my girl. There is no sicker crime than hurting defenseless children and animals. That said, my heart does break for MJ in that I think his dad was a twisted dirtbag who whored out his kids….hmmmm reminds me of somebody else. However he got that way, he was that way and there is no excuse for perpetuating child abuse. Full stop. No excuse at all.

I havent got kids, but I dont think you have to be a parent to feel the same way you do – hurting children, old people and animals are the worst crime in the world – absolutely sickening.
I have never been able to understand how people can excuse MJ’s behaviour just because he was a celebrity, and say oh he’s never grown up, he just loves children, he loves having them around. HELLO !!! Think of all the scout masters, swim teachers etc who put themselves around children deliberately. Apply MJ’s behaviour to your next door neighbour, that nice accountant with the cool kids games, who has a houseful of young boys calling round, who has been accused once already of child abuse but who hasnt changed his behaviour – would you let your children within 100 miles? Wouldnt you say theres something funny going on? Let ALONE the fact that a 40 year old man has admitted publicly that he thinks that sleeping in the same bed as 10 year old boys is acceptable, normal behaviour – truly terrifying, isnt it!
I am sad that his life ended up the way it did – a hugely talented young man who gave so much pleasure to so many. But I cant forget or forgive what he did. JMO.
