Maybe that freaky thing both BBT and Jolie share is what makes their sexual relationship so intense. I do believe that if he had gone along with her baby buying when it began, they would remain one of the most talked about couples in HW. At least in that relationship Angie could be true to herself, and not attempt to portray a great politico, humanitarian, Mother Earth, good girl (pun intended). The “She told me that I’m the only guy who makes her orgasm multiple times” means that she isn’t returning his phone calls (maybe you should stop calling collect, you cheap bastard), and “Every time she makes love to Brad she really is looking at my face” is just Billy’s practice of wearing a Brad Pitt mask while he points at himself in the bathroom mirror and cries while pleasuring himself. Yano, if you stand back , and take a long look at Angie and how she’s chosen to live her life, she is actually a rather pathetic figure desperately striving for love and approval. She is definately not comfortable in her own skin, and is constantly looking outward to make changes she perceives as “better”. Sad, really sad imo. I stil feel she was much better off in her life when she was contented to be the wild-child, screwed up and knows it, Angie. It was only when she began her facade and her father came out to beg her to seek help for her mental illness that people realized there was more to MzJolie’s actions than growth as a person. The Dark Side always makes a return, no matter how long she fakes her life. BBT knew this, in fact he made the comment about her hooking up with Brad in the first place as Angie’s attempt to be the Cheerleader with the Quarterback in H.S. and that Angie would soon tire of this bland lifestyle and return to being herself, her true self….amen BBT….you do know a lot about The Evil Mz Jolie

The only problem with that is that Pitt was never the quarterback as he never played American football at school. He preferred the very “uncool” sports tennis and swimming. And to be exact dating a 16-year old at age 24 or smoking more weed then was good for him doesn`t qualify him as the prince charming either. So that picture is totally wrong. I always thought that Pitt had a darker more interesting side that director David Fincher referred to when they were shooting “Seven” – a side that probably connected to Jolie and one that rises him above the bland pretty faces of his “pretty boy actor generation” of whom most have vanished into obscurity.

ReplyHow is JA so “relatable” to “every woman.” Because she’s average-looking (and she’s had two nosejobs) ? Other than that, she is a multi-millionaire who’s 40 with no kids who owns a house in Malibu. I don’t know anyone like that and I never have. She got her big break, and yet remains good friends with co-stars, is very well liked around HW, Is a self made millionairess , began two production companies, one with ex hubby Brad (Plan B) and another with a g/f after the divorce, (Echo Productions)…she is a hard working woman who earns what she wants. Wow, what has happened to him, his looks have gone. Compare that pic to the one where he and Jolie stood doing the press for MAMS and pretending to not be remotely involved with each other and it is like a totally different person. He looked like a hot action man type piece in the first pic, how has it gone so wrong. Although I do always think people with baby faces do not age well, Patsy Kensit in the UK I think is another example. She was unbelievably pretty in her youth but now her face seems to be barely holding together. I always think personal hygiene issues are a byproduct of mental health issues. People stop taking care of themselves and pride in their appearance as their mental health deteriorates. That pic of Brad drinking with his flies undone says it all to me about his recent state of mind. For such a major star who has always been so conscious of his appearance and image that was a major change. I hope he is better mentally now. Unfortunately the face doesn’t always get better as the mind does though!

ReplyBP is more affected by the woman he is with than she is by him. She does have to deal with the fact that if she’s his woman publicly, that a lot of press is going to come her way. But it’s true – he almost always morphs into ‘matcing’ his partner of the time. He’s a serial monogamist so he’s definitely not the worse in Hollywood nor looked down upon. I have not seen him in person since he and Jolie started playing house, but I have to say, he did have something going for him before. A real twinkle in his eye. It looks like that’s all been drained out now, although I am just getting that from pictures.

What i think makes Jen relatable is that she seems like she would be a good friend. In hollyweird people are so superficial. Yes, both are repped by Geyer. Geyer is the CEO/Chairman of Media Talent Group – they manage about 45 performers. Geyer co-reps BBT and AJ with Oren Segal (Segal is way junior to Geyer though). They also rep playwright turned director Michael Christofer who did of course direct AJ in ‘Gia’ and also in ‘Original Sin’. They also rep Brittany Murphy who was in ‘Girl, Interrupted’ with AJ.
Anyway, Media Talent Group is also a production company – they have 4 titles optioned that they are developing. Two of them, AJ is already attached to ‘Atlas Shrugged’ and ‘Untitled Kathi Lynn Austin Project’ (which is based on Austin’s real life). And then they have ‘Floyd Collins’ which they already have BBT attached to. Then there’s “Darksiders’ but they haven’t attached anyone to that one yet. Even though each of these projects are in their beginning inceptions, each of them already have a distribution company – Lionsgate has agreed to one, New Line is attached to distribute another. Geyer is down as the producer for all 4 titles.
So there’s really no way that BBT and AJ could be on bad terms and both share the same manager and have the same production company lining up films for both of them – it just wouldn’t work.

That’s interesting, on a much less significant scale a production company I used to work for had a small talent management section and a lot of the presenters used to get first dibs at the shows that were being made there. It keeps it all in the family and keeps everyone making money I guess. Sounds much the same as your description of AJ’s management. ReplyThats the word – Class! He has it. I know that I dont know much about the people in Hollywood (am learning alot on this site!), but to me he exudes a quiet confidence and an inner strength. He is not the most beautiful man, but I think he is very attractive – he seems happy with what he is. I hope I am right in this assessment as there seem to be so few Hollywood-types that I like – but he is one of them!

She “rents” it out to famous men, imo, in order to increase her finances. ITA, with you on your take with JA, it’s very disconcerting what AJ’s PR has been trying to do to that poor woman, it is nothing less than psychological abuse on AJ’s part. She has shown that she is vindictive, insecure, jealous, immature, and VAIN. IMO.
The fact that she was turned into some embittered , sad pathetic woman, I think is now back-firing on AJ.
She{JA} has shown class, restraint, patience and compassion. What I think drives AJ’s obsession with JA, is the fact that JA is well-liked, is well respected in the industry, and she does carry weight.
AJ knows at her core, that she has totally screwed up, and she will never be JA, or have the respect and love that she {JA} has. People{women} especially can relate to JA, she has made herself real and vulnerable, and showed a quiet dignity, that AJ has been desperately trying to obtain, and has failed miserably, with her “I am above the world” mentality. She is a true “Ice Queen”, her heart is as black as pitch.
JA does not need to say anymore, AJ will be her own undoing, and for that she will not be able to blame anyone, but herself and her ego. JMO, I’ll be back in a bit, got to go pick up my ol’ man from work.

Very true…and i love your description of Jennifer Anistons “quiet dignity”….very true about Jennifer. Probably why everyone has cancer and god knows what else. When I got congestive heart failure I had never been sick a day in my life. (I don’t count back surgeries as an illness). They said it was a virus of unknown origin that attacked and mostly destroyed my heart. WTF? How does this happen? Why are so many non smokers getting lung cancer? Why is there an epidemic of heart failure in young people? Dunno. Scary stuff bc not a thing we can do about it. Don’t know the answers. That is probably why it is easier to focus on Hollywood. At least we can track things down for the most part and a good distraction.

My granddaughter has MS, and a small brain tumor , benign, which her neurologist is monitoring. She suffered a seizure at work day before yesterday, and my daughter and she were concerned it was MS related, however after C-scans, etc, her neurologist told her it was due to reduced pressure on her brain as the tumor is responding and shrinking, AND, asparatame! Ah I did not know that. In the UK all “hosts” are called “presenters”. The only time we ever use the word host is in the context of a gameshow – they can be either the host or the presenter. So yeah that is what I meant by all celebs having a brand down to the lowest level presenters. But of course all celebs, regardless of job have one too. Reaility show “stars”, people who are famous for being famous etc. Not many people admit to it though, I’ve only ever really heard Paris HIlton say in response to a reporter asking what she does for living: “I have a brand, I do my brand”. And on that note, can I just ask “Brand Speidi”, WTF? They are born-again-Christians now? Do these people know no shame?! I have just caught them on a bit of the US I’m a Celeb and I can’t believe the crap they are spewing about God and their faith. No idea who the others are apart from Sanjaya (good God!). Its a shame actually because I’m a Celeb is one of the biggest entertainment shows in the UK, it is total genius. The female “host” (just learnt this word!) of the US version was a participant in the UK one and now has a multi-million pound career as a result. Anyway, one of our dates, (believe me it was just for sex both ways, CG is not that dumb!) he flew me from San Diego where I was on business to LA for dinner and hot sex. So we get to his apt on Doheny, very impressive, impressive view, nostalgic location. He calls the limo to take us to dinner and where did we go ? Across the fucking street. I was surprised to see that article saying they are shooting now in NYC. Originally it had read that when they began shooting , it would be in California, but that was in way early days, so it is most likely nothing to do with Brad/Jen/Angie. I too think Angie will use exhaustion as her excuse to take the kids and go to France. She is reported to have a female lover ( was stated by IAN on IUCTV 6/9) and if she’s that into women as reported ( closet lesbian) she will want to be with her rather than put up with her former partner, “Old Man” Pitt. I fail to understand all the lies and deceit. Of course it’s the money. On the recorded IUCTV from 6/9 IAN said he believes that Brad is milking Angie for all she’s got, which i took to mean using her fan base and fame, such as it is, to further himself. Even though he’s leaving/left her, he is still very selfish ( in my opinion) and wants to exit with none of the blame, similiar to the style he used to exit Jennifer when he went public with Angie. IAN also stated firmly that George Clooney is gay. I feel George Clooney is a very nice gentleman, but i question Brad’s close association with George Clooney for a great number of years. With the history of Brad, i keep thinking he is definately Gay, not Bi. He and Angie were bearding for one another imo. It’s the way of things in HW….but i’ll have to wait until i can ask IAN more questions about it, or until IAN or SR comes out with more clues….eventually

ReplyOh I agree that there were talented comediennes who were overlooked for Oscars. I am just saying JA is not one of them. There are a ton of politics to the Oscars. It is not the good old, “truly inspired performance” thing that it used to be. It is all about the money. Probably it always was but they dont’ try to hide it anymore. Anyway, we can agree to disagree, lol, if that is the worst thing that happens we are lucky, as I like to say. I would need to see JA operate at a higher level of performance to be sold on Oscar for her. There were news reports in the last week about people who eat meat having a shorter life span. But when one thinks about it, people have eaten meat for a long, long time, and still lived long lives. So it makes sense that the meat we now consume is not the same kind of meat eaten in the past. Something must have been done to make it more dangerous. Hormones, for one. I shudder to think there may be cloning going on without our knowledge/consent. I read they’ve even resorted to cloning vegetables.
I went to the local supermarket and bought some cucumbers. When I slit it open, I was startled to see a hollow inside. So I go to a more organic market for my veggies.
On Sunday, there is a Farmers Market not too far away. All organic veggies and fruits. But they also have food to eat which includes meat with less chemicals. Lots of good juices and all kinds of coffee.
Closer there is a Whole Foods supermarket. The prices are high, but the store never wants for customers.
Even our fish is contaminated! So it’s better to choose fish from a more reliable market. Canned tuna from inland states and foreign countries is recommended.
Bliueberries are one of the highest rated anti-oxidant foods. And it is now in season.
Broccoli is highly recommended as a cancer fighting food.
Animals frequently are among the first to warn us humans about any dangers to us. One sees many species with abnormal growths. Fishes that were poisoned by mercury, etc!
Bugs that were uknown to Canada are attacking the spruce trees. Birds that are foreign to Northern Alaska are startling the natives that live in those areas. Polar bears losing their habitat.
Only a matter of time before snakes show up, it seems.
The list goes on and on.

I thought Liam Neeson was very brave to portray “Kinsey”. I also thought he was unjustly overlooked for this great performance.

I am completely with you on going for all organic food if possible, it adds to your groceries budget a bit but in the long run I think it is more worthwhile than spending the money on say an expensive chemically-laden moisturiser for example (I am very anti the great beauty industry con, those products do more harm than good IMO). However I think that stat about eating meat may have been misinterpreted by the scientists who did that study. I don’t think it is not eating meat that means vegetarians lead longer lives so much as having to eat so many more vegetables as substitutes. Its not that eating meat is inherently bad for you – although ham, bacon and sausages increase your risk of bowel cancer by 10% (but that’s caused by the salt and preservatives in them not the meat) and you shouldn’t eat too much red meat – but that eating more vegetables is good for you. While the UK govt recommends eating at least 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, and in a range of different colours, some govts recommend 7 portions and some as much as 9. The problem is that our soil has been so intensively/over-farmed that most of the nutrients have been removed from it. We need to eat more veg to compensate for that. Also some people say the most fresh produce is the best for you as the older vegetables get the less nutrients they have in them. Some would say its better to have very fresh non-organic veg than not so fresh organic. Also lycopene in tomatoes is very good for you, you get it especially in very ripe ones and more is released when they are cooked so tomato puree and even ketchup is considered very good for you. I love talking about this subject I’m not whether you can tell(!). I am a food/nutrients geek!

ReplyOk Food Geek-I will state that I do not believe the consumption of meat vs veg or vegan is really the problem. Humans are omnivores. It is the chemical cocktails they feed the animals, the horrid way they are butchered (I do eat meat but prefer Halal or Kosher, not agri farm meat). The way these animals are treated, mistreated and put down and then we are eating all of that anguish? Can’t be good in a physical or spiritual way. Likewise, beauty products and I am a whore for cosmetics. But when Cleopatra patted ground strawberries onto her cheeks or whatever it was-hardly harmful. The beauty and food industrial complex is what these things have become. All about the money. Our grandparents ate bacon and gravy biscuits on the farm and didn’t die of coronary artery disease, diabetes or any of the things that are killing us now. But that was their own pig they butchered and it wasn’t pumped up on chems. And these were people who were extremely active. If eating organic is “too expensive” that is funny to me. That means that eating unadulterated food commands a premium price. Pretty fucking sad. It also pisses me off that governments think they know what is best about my nutrition. Time and again, govts have been proven to be wrong, to be owned by the corporate agri interests. I was at the Dr yesterday and he actually said to me in a conversation about cholesterol, “the govt food pyramid recommends….” I was like, you’re kidding me, right?

We’ve been composting for a year now, every veg and fruit scrap as well as coffee grinds go into it to make this gorgeous black dirt, like velvet! ha So this year we used it to plant our garden, and our cucumbers and tomatoes have turned into the little shop of horrors plants, they are huge! FEED ME!!! LOL So now we are growing all our own organic veg and herbs and we love it!

Yes, i hope so. Since i’ve been here, i’ve really settled in, like it here very much. Especially as we can agree to disagree without body slamming, name calling, cussing, etc. Just because two people have opposing opinions on a topic, doesn’t mean one is wrong and one is right, just means that two people think differently. I hate those sites where everyone gets their underwear in a bunch calling another out, and ranting for hours about a two second occurance. Those people i thing ( my opinion) are only on a blog site for the “excitement” the “fight to be right” so to speak. I’ve learned so much about so many different things here, with such a diverse sampling of peoples … very interesting, and helpful to understand how others feel , think, believe. I had to go on a phone consult with a gentleman in India for my computer…we got to discussing the similarities and differences between our two cultures…ended up becoming friends, and having a two hour talk.. Basically we are all just human beings…doing our best to be ….human. My philosophy through out live has been, “Do no harm to another by intent”….it’s held for me a number of years…..

No, but we have a daughter who lives in Baton Rouge…seems The Big EZ is up and running again. Other than the lower 9th Ward still looking like Katrina happened last week….it’s sad, but, i don’t think my opinion is a popular one, i feel if you build on land that is below sea level you are assuming the risk it carrys. Here in Florida, in some areas we must buy “Flood Insurance” to cover such things as hurricane floods, storm tides, etc. If you don’t buy the insurance , about $150/YEAR, then you pay out of pocket for your losses. Otherwise, New Orleans is like a world unto itself. I love strolling the French Quarter, the streetcars clanging along…enjoy your visit!!! If you are able, make a stop in Orlando , Florida to visit Disney World, MGM Theater, Sea World, or any of the many wonderful attractions….they are all terrific! Witness Madge’s PR denying her and Guy were splitting until the day before the divorce was finalised was it. Always remember a PR’s raison d’etre is to protect its client, at all costs, nothing else.

ReplyEven tho I do my shopping at a “reliable” outlet, I do not trust them to be totally safe! Example: I bought lettuce at Henry’s, one of the more popular and trusted centers. I learned to always wash my veggies and fruits once I got home. So I pour some salt (Tbs) and some lemon juice (Tbs) into a container filled with water. Fifteen mins later, I can rinse and wipe them off and put it in the fridge.
ReplyWow! my lettuce had many boll weevils that floated to the top. They removed the produce after I called them. They offered to replace my lettuce but why bother, I said.
I do the same with oranges. Ever since childhood, I have eaten the rinds of oranges. Only in adulthood, did I learn about roughage.
Read that chickens are not so safe, anymore. Even veggies.
Hope I didn’t throw out the paper with the trash. Will look for it and get back with the update.

Why do you wash your lettuce in water with lemon and salt in it? I have never heard of that before. Is it bad to find bugs in your lettuce? You see my theory is that lettuce should have bugs in it (as organic ones usually do) but that we’ve just got used to not having them because they are eradicated by the pesticides that are sprayed on them. I would much rather be consuming the occasional bug than all those carcinogenic chemicals that have been sprayed on it. BTW if you are not buying organic fruit and veg you should ideally not eat the skin. A non-organic lettuce for example has usually been sprayed with pesticides as much as something like 14 times before it is picked. So those outer leaves are absolutely chemical-ridden. If you don’t buy organic it is best to discard the outer leaves. Also, what do you meanw with regard to “roughage”? I didn’t understand that bit.

TAINTED POULTRY NAMED MOST COMMON CAUSE OF FOOD POISONING.

Poultry was the most commonly identified source of food poisoning in the U.S. in 2006, followed by leafy vegetables and fruits and nuts, according to a report released yesterday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Goes on to say some effort was put forth to address this, but there still are problems. The CDC reported that most of the poultry-related illnesses were associated with Clostridium perfringens, a bacterium that commonly causes abdominal cramping and diarrhea, usually within 10 to 12 hours after ingestion. The spores from this bacterium often survives cooking, so keeping poultry meat at temps low enough to prevent contamination during processing and storage is critical.
They also found that many food-related illnesses were caused by viruses, which are often added to food by restaurant workers who fail to wash their hands. Such viruses often cause what many people refer to as “stomach flu” – one to two days of nausea and vomiting unrelated to the flu virus.
Salmonella, the bacteria found in nationwide outbreaks of contaminated peanut butter, spinach and tomatoes, was the second-leading cause of sole-source food illnesses, according to the CDC.
MOST of the nation’s estimated 76 MILLION cases of food-related illnesses a year go unreported.
Several yrs ago, I heard a waiter who worked in a highly-regarded restaurant say that in his profession, spitting in the food of customers they don’t like, before they serve them, is not an uncommon occurrence. Can you imagine that their spit is not necessarily free of disease-carrying bacterium?
Those who can drink alcohol have an advantage there. Alcohol can kill some of those toxic germs.

I think he is anything he needs to be to further himself, a sex chameleon…. When he got to HW first, he lived with a well known journalist/writer . He started off as his pool guy, dog sitter etc. and NEVER wanted his PIC taken together with him. He was then an actor-in-training- and knew that this could come back to hunt him. Besides cooking chicken thoroughly I always brine it for at least a couple of hours or overnight in just salt water. Keane, what’s the name of the dirty house cleaing show? The presenters are Aggie and someone else – anyway Aggie is the science one and she said never ever rinse a chicken, you can spread salmonella around your sink and counter.

Roughage is a term used to describe food that is beneficial to the alimentary tract, esp. the large colon. Other foods that are recommended for that purpose are brown rice, veggies from the cabbage family, and other items that may be easily googled.
Here in the U.S. they are strict about finding bugs in food. Bug droppings? Pre-caution about the cleanliness? Perhaps it’s good to have bugs in one’s vegetables, but we’re taught this isn’t good.

In other words, responsible city managers should never have zoned the area for houses. I heard that politicians knew the Lower Ninth could foreseeably have the problems it experienced because of Katrina. I wonder if any insurance company would insure new homes in the Lower Ninth?
I have not really read all this to see what is up but just guessing from the story titles , Ian must still be working with lawyers with the threats from Guy while doing promotions at the same time. Taking a break for this past week was a good thing for me, timing worked out well as my son had and emergency. Things always seem to work out as they should. I read through the news tonight, I saw that Jen was being honored for an award, how exciting for her. Hope all is well,off to read a bit and catch up on here. I did listen to the chat as I held my babys hand.

ReplyThe state of Louisianna must come up with a State financed homeowner’s insurance plan for the 9th Ward now if anyone who builds there is to have insurance. In Florida, after Katrina, and Andrew which struck here, many big home insurers have either left the state or have announced to leave. I don’t think it would be fair to the other persons buying insurance from a company to carry the liability of insuring property known to be in such an area. However, it’s now up to the people of that state to protect their own as Florida has done with so many national insurance companies pulling out of insuring homes here. State Farm is the latest one to leave Florida…should be completed withint a year.@BigApplette:

Anway, can’t comment on everything because I don’t know the answers, but… I can comment on things that I feel comfortable in confirming. While I have no idea if GC has ever been into men, I can 100 percent confirm that when he’s into a woman, he’s about as into her as it can get. Maybe it’s starting to fade a bit now, I don’t know, but as of 5 years ago, he had a pretty mind blowing body once the clothes came off. The kind of body that makes a girl really have to use all of her discipline and say, “No, let’s stop here.” That is one thing I can confirm for you without any relying on hearsay or conjecture.

ReplyI had to keep telling myself (and in retrospect it was certainly true), THE BRACE IS YOUR FRIEND, the brace will complete the procedure and the brace will ultimately restore your ability to move around and take away your leg pain if you have it which I assume that you do. It is some awful pain and pain killers don’t quite get it done. You will look back and laugh at your awkwardness and frustration with the brace but you will also likely keep it in your closet to help you with the occasional bad back day. Thus, my final sermon on the brace, LOL!

ReplyWell the reason we haven’t heard from SRRC and Ms. Nine is that they are not individuals but an alias of Ian. i truly believe that. Why is it that every time Ian is busy SRRC and Ms. 9 are “missing in action” as well.
It’s pretty easy to figure out. Maybe Ian got enough “buzz” from this site to help him promote his books so he doesn’t really give a sh*t anymore. That is until his next big blockbuster comes out. Forgive me for being critical but there are allot of dedicated bloggers on this site who really stand by Ian and I really hope he is not taking that for granted.

I know that some feel that IAN has more pressing things to deal with currently, such as the legal threats to his book in Canada, perhaps lawyers are working out methods to post some data like the promised Jennifer Aniston side, etc., but i think IAN has just forgotten us. IMO he is so busy with what he loves doing with the book, the press in his home country, the lawyers involvement that he is assuming this blog is running along as it had when he nurtured it and encouraged people to come here to discuss “Pop Culture And News, etc.”. I replayed his last IUCTV program, and it appeared to me at least, that he is not aware of who is or isn’t here lately. It was as if he had no idea that we are floundering without our ships captain. I hate to say this, but Im getting fed up with Ian right now, so I got curious and read all the reviews on Amazon for Ian’s various books, and he got totally slameed in every single one. Truthfully made me think twice about buying the books. The one that got the best reviews and even they weren’t great was the Kurt Cobain.

I posted a list, twice, on different threads with a relatively comprehensive list of African Models that are actual successful working fashion models. I addressed it each time to Ian and asked him if it could possibly be somebody on the list or if, in fact, I wasn’t even close. I NEVER put him in the position of asking if it was one specific name.
End result? He never answered. And then there was also no follow up story… Frustrating.

I prefer not to say what my name is on FF, as i think there are still people over there that are certain that Patty anne on IUC is Keane/IAN/Kate, etc and would love nothing more than to grill me about it. It’s really funny that during the year i’ve posted on FF, i never had a single problem with anyone. I had disagreement with theories, but no one , other than the CAPS LOON, would become rude and hostile toward me. I popped on and off this site now and then and would read comments and finally got to the point where I felt comfortable with maybe posting. I thought that Ian was going to finally say what too many people are afraid to put out there about the truth of the whole AJ/BP/JA thing. I actually have nothing against BP – my 2 experiences around him have been pleasant although they were before AJ – I am a little ambivalent though because he did really do JA wrong (and hell, I’m not even a fan of hers). Mainly, I thought that perhaps he would expose Jolie and substantiate that somehow. I have bumped into Jolie twice in my life and honestly, I don’t hate her because of looks, nor career, nor children – but I do dislike a lot of what she’s done to others, her borderline maliciousness to certain people, the damage she has left in her wake and the mockery St. Angelina is making of people out here in the industry (and many other places) who do a lot behind the scenes to try and contribute to a better world. There are other people who work with the UN and do not use it for publicity – they contribute their time, their energy and their money to try and do their part. As the chief prosecutor in the Hague said at the 2008 symposium on justice “I am only one of 4 italians that are apart of this. But everybody can play a part – it does not matter how big or how small that part may be”. Forgive me, I am paraphrasing, but the ‘how big or how small’ was precisely how he put it. I have watched people that genuinely wish to help with absolutely no ulterior motives. My cousin, for one, is stationed in London at one of the world’s largest NGO’s. Even though technically I should not have been allowed into the country, I have stood in Sudan, in Darfur, behind him while I watched him engage a significant number of jinjaweed while trying to communicate the proper rules of engagement. One man alone, unarmed with only hope to back him up. I besieged him when his organisation asked him to take a post in Iraq NOT to go. I spent 2 hours on the phone, LA to London, cryiing, pleading, bargaining, threatening, screaming until finally he relented. I thank God every day that I wore him down because the Iraq operation was closed after their most experienced field worker in that area of the world was kidnapped and then executed while being taped. My life would have been shattered if that had been him – my surrogate brother so I allowed my selfishness to prevail. I watch him in Darfur, I see him go into the Gaza strip and countless places across Africa that the world has forgotten, places that make you question whether the term “hell on earth” is in actuality the reality. On the other side of the spectrum, I have had people that are close to me use their very good fortune in life to try and help in another way. The day after the Oklahoma City bombing, somebody very near and dear in my life got on the phone with the major of O.C and said “what can I do?” He sent a check that day for 1 million dollars from New York to Oklahoma with only one specification – that his name would not be disclosed to the press or anyone else and that he would remain anonymous. I have seen him give much more than that to programs around the world, but he still does not forget to help the country in which he lives in. I come from a family where we have been raised to take some of whatever good we have managed to receive in life and pass it along through through the chain of humanity. And we have been taught to do so quietly for charity is not for one’s own glory. I am NO angel by any means, nor are the people around me but I will choose to believe for as long as I can that at the root of our core, the majority of us wish to the right thing, have the ability and the instinct to be empathetic. That is what I choose to believe about mankind. And that is why Angelina Jolie concerns me. If her motives are pure, then I am obviously wrong about her and would have no qualms apologising. But instead of using publicity only to shine light on those in trouble and dire need, I see someone who turns and uses that as positive publicity for her own good whenever something comes up in her show business or much publicized family life. And that bothers me and worries me – survivors of genocide, the dislocated, the starving, the homeless and the oppressed are NOT supposed to be publicity pawns. They are not supposed to be used as another creative angle to elevate oneself within the public conscience, to garner more fame. And what will happen to other people who come after? Other people who may be publlc faces, have public names? There is so much more one could say but I’ve already gone on way more than I should have.
To return to the beginning that I somehow steered so far away from – I believed that perhaps, maybe, this particular ‘writer’ was going to have the balls to put out some of the things that are true that the mainstream media is too scared to touch. I have no interest in speculation about pitt bulls, or 3 ways. But there’s a lot of other stuff that is going on in that camp that isn’t right, whether it be Hollywood or Main Street, and a lot of it isn’t a big secret. Yet nothing came to real fruition and I am left wondering about the writer’s motives for this sight. I’d have to say that I’m more than a little disappointed in his ‘non-stories’ and I think he owes a big apology to the faithful that not only helped with hits to his site, but also took the time to comment, and ultimately, gave him their faith. He owes a big fat sorry to each of those people.

Hey y’all, I have no idea what is going on with Ian now, whether he is laden down with other work or what, who knows? All I know is he has 3 books coming out right now, he is promoting one, presumably writing the other and maybe putting the finishing touches to the third. That is a hell of a lot of work. Re: the Brange stuff, he definitely won’t have given up working on it because he has a book slated to come out on them in a matter of weeks/months. But it has occurred to me that maybe he has finished the “research” period now and is on to the writing stage so has no new info to give us. Or perhaps he has been instructed by his publisher not to release any more info as it may mean that less people buy the book. Who knows, but he has said in the past that once he’s done with these three books he wants to concentrate on other stuff: this blog, producing off-Broadway plays and something else which I can’t remember! He may have changed his mind but it seemed like this blog was very much part of his plan for the future, it may just be that he has to take a rain check from it right now. I don’t know but I hope you all stick around/come back later as it has been great talking to you all and I have no interest in posting anywhere else but here!

Thank you for reaffirming my faith in my fellow man. I know several people who perform charitable acts quietly, to help not for the attention they could get for their kind acts. To me, that is what charity is about, helping others with less than you have, even if you have very little yourself, share. Make someone elses life a little better, reach out to someone who needs a shoulder to cry on, a driver to take them to their daily radiation treatments, lacking enough food in the cupboard ( take half of what i have and take it to them with a comment that i am cleaning my cupboards as i bought too much this week)…not to look like Saint Patty anne, but to do it in such a way that i am considerate of their feelings of accepting my gift. I wish more people around the world, rich and poor alike, would reach that hand out to others, and ask, what can i do to help? Then we see Angelina Jolie….and how she demeans all those reputable agencies for publicity, ego enhancement, what ever it is about it that turns her own, and …..i could cry for all those people that she could truly be helping…..but isn’t …..she just helps herself. When i found this site, i was so excited! A published author who has unflinchingly exposed famous persons before! He is going to write a book about Brangelina! Expose’….the illegal , imo, adoption of Maddox, possible child abuse by neglect , imo, all of it! Hm not sure, I assume that the site is intended to help with book sales as presumably he is making little to no money out of it. It takes time and effort for him to do so he has to be getting something out of it in some way. I personally don’t mind what his reasons are for doing it, I am just pleased to have found a gossip site that gives us genuine inside goss as opposed to reurgitated PR stories as all other sites do. I’ve found out a lot of info from reading/posting here and figured out so much about how the media/PR world works that I for one am grateful to have found it. At the end of the day, Ian has to eat and pay the rent, he has to make money. I don’t mind at all if he is using the site to promote things that actually make him some money as opposed to giving us all this info for free as he does here. This is his job after all. I’m not sure what is going on with the blog right now but am hoping things will pick up again when he has more time. The thing is when you’re self-employed, as Ian is, and you suddenly get a project that you have to work on you have to devote yourself to that, put all your time into it and put everything else on the backburner. Basically when I’m working on a TV programme I literally have no time to do anything else at all and that includes socialising, shopping for anything other than groceries and having any life whatsoever, which is why its not a very good life! If I’m doing something other than TV then I have time to comment here, but if I’m doing that then you will hardly ever hear from me or see me. I just think because Ian has all these books on the go right now that will be taking up all of his time. This sort of thing is usually so much more than a 9-5, he is probably working on it 12 hours a day, 7 days a week if not more. Just bear in mind that when I’m working in TV I often do 20 hour days, 6 day weeks, 70 hours or more a week, all-nighters once a week etc etc. That’s the highly desirable career in the media industry for you, not all its cracked up to be by any means!

Ian knew that, I bet he has been hit with a law suit as well. It’s about time. Because he was really getting out of hand. The stories were distrubing and out landish. - The story talks about how Brad frequently dropped by the SALT set with their children. On the last visit the kids brought their dog. “There has been no tension,” the source says.
- On Mother’s day Brad gave Angelina inscribed jewelry.
They also commented on some of the recent rumors.
- Rumor: They’re adding another child to their family. The story says that this is false and that there are no new additions to the family planned yet.
- Rumor: That Brad visited Jennifer Aniston on the set of her movie and at a hotel. “Not true,” says Aniston’s rep and also another source close to the family.
- Rumor: Jane Pitt dislikes Angelina. The story says that this is false and that Jane spent plenty of time with Angelina when they visited Long Island a short time ago and that both of Brad’s parents are “close” to Angelina.
- Rumor: Angelina is shunning food. False, the story says. Angelina not only eats meals while on set but she’s also been spotted drinking protein shakes.
So the People Magazine looks to have some good rumor-busting info in the article. Will it stop the gossip-mongers from gossiping for good? Probably not, but it should help decrease the fire a bit!

ReplyJust an observation. but Ian has been doing chats with his fans off and on about his projects for over ten years. He is Canadian, and to him the story of Guys life is much more inspirational and fasinating than Brange I would guess based on some of his comments in interviews. Ian was a musician before he was an author really, a performer, wrote music and lyrics. I think many here have a very narrow idea of who he is because you don’t know that much about him over the years. While you may see negative book reviews , for each one you will find articles that tell a different story. Ian is gutsy and is not afraid to take on a challenge legally, he has done that many times in the past, and so as it is now. I am a little confused as to why anyone would think he hardly makes money, a starving artist. This is just not true. Ian is very well know in a many areas of the entetainment commnunites. He knows more people than I think some of you realize and that is how he gets his stories. He is like the energizer bunny, you just can not get rid of him on a story. He is the pitt bull. Ian is also well liked by so many, has many friends, past and present. I have followed him for a long long time, his interviews, and such. If I ahd just read his books and listened to a review I probably would feel as you do, but I remember some of the reasons he has given for things he writes, and at core it is because he cares about humanity.
I realize of course I will be accused of being Ian again. Don’t really care. There was not more than a handful here when I started posting with my name, although I ahd posted as a guest prior to that and been on his chats, and will be here probably when there is only a handful left if that if the way goes.
FTR I was disheartened over the posters here that left and went there and I saw such a different take. Shocked me to see such a different personality, not about me per say, just in general, about various subjects. It was like a totally different person, and I just could not shake that disheartened feeling. I don’t know any of the posters at FF, I posted a few times to those people and was flamed for it, so never went back to follow up even though Deb was nice enough to encourage me to say. I decided I did not want to open myself up to the negativity that was going on in general, and that goes for here as well. I don’t like the constant back and forth with the ones who come here to rile. It has no place on the board, that is just how I feel. I won’t respond to anyone from here on, ever, that has one negative word to say. I will skip their post and let them speak to the wind. I ahve enough wll power to not be baited, and frankly I just don’t care enough to entertain them. I am here for this blog, not them. Of course everyone else can make their own choices, but this is the type thing that takes a blog down, and that is why they do it. They know in time people will get tired of reading it and leave.
Nice to see everyone again, my son is better, but still I have had a hard time sleeping. He had a motorcycle accident, ruptured spleen, he will be laid up for a good while now. Boys and their toys. Mothers and their bleeding hearts.

Only watched both those tv shows to see ole smoothy George. He is so much like the Movie Stars of old….entirely different species from what we have today imo. I won’t mess with my brace, just getting anxious now to get the operation over with. My surgeon informed me they can’t go in through the back with four “small” (to him they were small!!) holes due to the size of the bone graft i need, ergo, a nice big incishion on my side. I’m in enough pain from the compressed nerves due to the collapse of my spinal tunnel ( holds the nerves from brain to tailbone) that i just want it done. I wish all of you would be very careful about heavy lifting….you may at the time not realize what the long term effect upon your body will be, and it’s definately not worth that risk…i knew i should have let that horrid man fall!….lol@Kate:

As far as all the negative posters … they suck. It’s been a real disappointment. I haven’t left, but I am really tired of all the bickering. I don’t bother reading it. I don’t think there’s really that much to report on the Brange at the moment, they appear to be laying low. I’m quite pleased we’re not seeing any photos of the kids – and if it’s true Z is RAD, she’s getting big enough that forcing her out for pap shots is going to be a nightmare. A friend mentioned she’d heard the possibility that Shiloh also has some issues.

I do wonder about the custody issue. IAN did mention on the chat that In Touch was going to have a huge breaking story come out this next week, that it has something to do with the lawyers. He also stated again they got married two years ago, but he did not follow up with they had it anulled. I wondered about that. I did not agree with his comment on Jen being a lesbian because she has never had children, could not follow that line of thought. I got the impression IAN did not have much info on Jen though in regards to what is going on in her life right now.
His comment about the blog was not that it is not his, it was that he does not “run” the blog. It is obviously his blog, but IAN has said before he has a staff that does the research on the stories and I would suspect they maintain the blog as well and post stories from time to time. He does not moderate it , but we do have a forum and that does have two mods listed, so topic threads could be formed there for discussion. Book discussion, arguments on who is who, what is in the news, that is why he made it. The blog is here for the current stories to be discussed really, not a free for all. That is just my opinion of course, but he has provided a way to cut down on the trolls if anyone wants to take advantage of it. just saying..I don’t think he has time to babysit us.

That’s the highly desirable career in the media industry for you, not all its cracked up to be by any means!
I’m not into warring – don’t like it, but Keane is totally correct in the above statement. Maybe it doesn’t seem like real work to some, but when you end up spending a good 16 hours on set and do it for a month straight before you get a day off from shooting – it really is not as glamorous an existence as the end product may make it seem. 16 hours on set, if project has started to get behind schedule than you can add another 2 hours so that hair and makeup doesn’t eat into your your time on set. An hour and half for travel to and from set. Showers, some sort of interaction with your significant other, going over the script and reviewing shooting schedule for following day, intermittent rewrites plus double checking where you are in the character’s arc so you don’t drop the ball and then trying to fit sleep in somewhere. If you do the math, there’s not many hours for things that are necessary – like sleep (unless you try to nap in your trailer which is never really quality sleep). Absolutely nothing glamorous about that.
So Keane’s remark about it not being all it’s cracked up to be (desirable) – I’d have to say that’s dead on.

Yes it unfortunately is the thing that so few people realise when they think about TV production or film-making. They think shoots are “glamorous” or “exciting” and good fun all round. Well if you call standing in the middle of road in the middle of nowhere on a freezing November night at around 11pm to stop traffic from driving into shot or cleaning an utterly filthy kitchen in a pub so you will be able to shoot the last segment of the show glamorous and exciting then maybe! Plus if you call existing in a permanent state of sleep deprivation, driving across the country at 3am with people you barely know or like, being under constant time and budgetary pressure and spending 90% of your time trying to prevent the contributors from dropping out thus screwing up the show completely or preventing the Director and Cameraman from killing each other, fun then again maybe. Otherwise its a big fat no. And as for producing films, well if you want to work 18 hours a day, 7 days a week for maybe 9 months to pull that off then the best of British luck to you! So yeah, I never look at films and think what a glamorous life for the actors or crew involved, I think what bloody hard work that would be. I would hope thought that actors are slightly better paid and can afford to take part of the year off as a result? Although I know from the one guy I know who has acted in a blockbuster HW film that first time parts do not command a necessarily huge fee, although it is undoubtedly more than I’ve ever earned! Unfortunately though he has never managed to get another role since! Mainly because of the visa issue. I’m hoping life is a bit easier for you?!

Yah the problem is, as Finally has so perfectly demonstrated, they are all so stupid and vile they think walk away has run rings around me when it couldn’t be more obvious to the casual observer that she has absolutely no clue what she is talking about, contradicts everything she’s said and can’t back up a thing she says. All they are looking for is for someone to “trounce” me, and they are that stupid they think they’ve found it. Even Billi who I thought was of reasonable intelligence, guess I was wrong about that one though. All I can say is, if that is the sort of person who posts on FF they are so incredibly welcome to each other. Wow, I can’t think of anything worse than spending 5 seconds of my life with these people, how do they deal with it? All I can say is that FF has become the home for IUC rejects. ReplyBigApplette is correct saying the new homes should not have been built in the lower 9th Ward of New Orleans. That has a very high/likely risk of a repeat of Katrina. It should never have been built upon in the first place, but with so many financially deprived people living in what housing was there, and nearly all unable to afford/ or get home flood insurance on land that is below sea level and only an ancient dike holding back the entire ocean….payoff of local politicians…imo. For Brad Pitt to spearhead rebuilding homes for the economically disadvantaged population living in most all of that area, is a waste of money, time, and will end in a repeat disaster imo. The dikes , on a whole, are no better now than before Katrina. How many of the poor folk living there can afford to make house payments on an average home costing $150,000? Which is what Brad thinks of as “Low Cost Housing” These people lived in areas of high crime, drug usage, etc. Native Louisiannans were afraid to go to New Orleans in the evening or the day time due to the knifings, robberys, killings, etc. Whe Katrina hit, most of those people were shipped out to Texas, Oklahoma, other far off states, so they deluted the mass criminal faction that way, but they will find a way back! I’m sure of it! So, take your average unwed mother of four, five, six, who has no job, lives on government assistance, ….. how can she make house payments? Does Brad intend to just give her a home free? I doubt that very much….so much for humanitarian right? For what each single home cost, they could have built homes more in keeping with what these families are used to and can afford…..if built there at all, considering it’s gambling with the lives of every family who risks returning to that area….Brad simply didn’t think it through, but sought another opportunity to look like a great saviour since no one else wanted to make the mistake he is in that area….IMO @benjaminbutton14:

What I think it is is they have all come here under whatever username, posted abusive messages towards Ian or other commenters (which they strongly believe is their right as it is “their opinion”), they have been attacked back by us and describe such defending/retaliation. You see it is their human right to come here and tell Ian or any one of us that we are dickheads spewing made up crap and we don’t know shit and we’re fat, ugly whatevers – that is only their opinion after all, what on earth is wrong with that?! For us to defend Ian, attack them for being such ignorant, vile arseholes and so on is automatically obviously “bullying” and we are all evil for doing it. You see the logic of the FF troll? It is quite faultless really. They are always right and we are always wrong, end of story. It is just caused by stupidity, nothing else. see that is what I don’t understand, why put yourself through it, why try? Just ignore them, you do realize you are playing right into thier game , they love when you respond to them, they love the challenge, what they don’t like is to be ignored. They love the fact they can get you to respond to them every time, and then they are all gloating over it you can bet somewhere, at least they were when I left, and I seriously doubt that has changed at all. The only way to win Keane is to not debate them, it is like arguing with a Alzhiemers Patient, you are wasting your time. No disrepect to AZ, my beloved husbands mother has it, so I am well aware of how frustrating it is, and what you are doing is the same thing he does when he tries to convince his mother that she did not date one of the Presidents. I would not be able to deal with having to be the one that steps in between directors, producers or dps when they’re at each other’s throats. That’s just the worst. I’ve seen that a couple of times but they always hush up right before you come to set cause the 2nd dp’s already let them know he’s walking you over. Still though, you can feel it in the air and that’s just so horrid – no words, but you could cut the tension with a knife. Nope, I do NOT envy you that at all. And yeah, life is a little bit easier for me – but it sucks right now. Got humiliated my guy at an award dinner on Thursday. And now we’re bust. Living in the same house, separate wings and he has the nerve to keep me up all last night for a rehash and to tell me that he would prefer us to remain a couple on the outside, doesn’t want to tell anyone. And then he waltzes off to shoot today and I’m home, tired, 72 hours awake, 2 nights of endless conversation that I just did not want to have. Don’t even want to tell my friends – he exhausted me to the point where I just don’t wanna go there. And this is supposed to be my time off – which I thought was going to be great, and now I just wish I was back to work already. So much for the high life, ain’t it grand?
Amazing, absolutely amazing to think people can behave in such a hostile manner toward someone they would not recognize if they passed them on the street. When i posted over there off and on, as Gwenneth, everyone seemed pleasant to me, other than the one called CAPS LOON, who imo has serious mental issues. This degree of unbalanced behaviour, such intense feelings for another blog poster, is rather frightening when you think of who may be out in society, sitting next to you on a bus, or behind you in a theater….such total hate, and lack of reasoning, or control. I appreciate your explaining it to me, i am still so stunned at how very vital to their lives this public opinion blog is….not only do they want control over the site on which they post, but they want to “lurk” here so they have fuel to create even more disention over there. I hope my post was clear that I meant to say that no homes should have been built in the Lower Ninth even pre-Katrina. The corrupt politicians wanted the extra tax revenue of homes that were built on unstable turf below sea level. Also, less care was given to the levees that surrounded the Lower Ninth since it was principally a poor, African American area.
