IUC Exclusive: First Lady Michelle Obama Would Have gone for Geraldo If She Didn’t Marry Barry-O

Posted on May 29th, 2009 by HisHighness in IUC:Entertainment, IUC:Exclusive

Our first lady Michelle Obama might have been Michelle Rivera had she not fallen in love with Barack.  A longtime friend of the first lady told IUC that Michelle’s dream man since she was 16 was none other than Fox News host Geraldo Rivera.  That means that Michelle would have become a Jew if she married Rivera, who had a bar mitvah and was raised Jewish by his mother Lillian Friedman.  “Before she met Barack, Michelle thought Geraldo was the sexiest man alive,” the friend told IUC.  “She wrote him love poems and never missed his popular tv show.”

****IMPORTANT**** Our Michelle O series starts Monday – Part I – Cinderella or Catwoman?

Here’s a shot of me last year guesting on Geraldo At Large.

Are the rumors true that Obama is secretly pro gay marriage but doesn’t want to lose the Southern vote and the support of the conservative Hollywood fat cats?

    How interesting!

Does anyone remember that show where Geraldo sailed around the world on his sailboat? It was a terrific adventure, a two year circumnavigation of the globe with his family. I’m a sucker for sailing. I remember thinking at the time that it almost redeemed him in my mind for the horribly theatrical talk show and the ridiculous uneveiling of the contents of Al Capone’s vault…which was EMPTY.

BTW Ian, congrats on the J Crew advertising here! That’s pretty big! It’s my go-to for good quality All-American basics. :)

Candice Bergen on John Edwards’ mistress:
    http://www.celebitchy.com/53181/candice_bergen_slams_john_edwards_mistress_rielle_hunter/

“I have to say I agree with Joan on Elizabeth Edwards. The woman has terminal cancer for Christ’s sake and three kids and has been married to someone she describes as a good man for many years. The sleaze in this is, of course, John, but Rielle Hunter — who came up with that ridiculous name herself by the bye; her name used to be something entirely other and she gives women a black eye. We all know the type, they make your hair go all weird and your teeth chatter. They are utterly amoral, without a shred of conscience and tough as tacks. But I seem to have veered off message here. I also, like Joan, question her writing a book but till I read some of it, I’ll hold off on blathering on about it. She is a remarkable woman and I am very sorry she has had so much to endure. Including a husband who is dumb enough to be sucked in by an ambitious cooze.”

“Our” First Lady? I thought you are Canadian Ian. Anyway, forget Michelle – look into President Obama and how he refuses to present a birth certificate proving he is eligible to be president . . . or how about showing where all the stimulus money went – banks are not making more loans, GM & Chrysler went bankrupt anyway and have now been nationalized. Look into how the USA is becoming a communist nation and nobody seems to care – banks are nationalized, car manufacturers are nationalized the media & airline industries soon will be. There are many more issues regarding the Obamas that should be looked into rather than who Michelle had a crush on.

Finally, everyone seems to be mesmerized while ignoring the issues. I can’t wait to see what this country is like in another year. How about the taxes we are about to incur? They are throwing around 25% on everything just to cover health care. I do not identify with either party because frankly, most of them are all scumbags. Special interests rule this country. Look at California. Your state could be next. The government depends on our money, not a product they sell.

Bizarre. Europe looks on with fascinated bewilderment when the US elects a new President. Rallies, flag-waving and adulatory cheering for a politician? Are you serious?! It can only end in disappointment surely. Eepsecially when everyone realises he is essentially no more amazing or different to any other man, just with a slightly better oratory style (cadged from HW portrayals of Presidents there, I strongly suspect). Oh and ideally, slightly better principles than the last guy. Well, let’s face it, it can’t be too difficult can it?!

The money went towards the banks helping to balance their books, as it has done in the UK, it was totally pointless. Don’t knock nationalisation, at least the govt have control over the banks and can force them to lend more. In the UK we threw billions of pounds at them but are only in control of one of them. The others have just taken taxpayers’ billions and said thanks very much for that, that’ll do nicely, we’ll think about lending some to people when things pick up a bit. Great hey? Utterly pointless, they should have nationalised them.

As I have said before, I think it is great that we have a black first family in this country. Long overdue. But I actually studied BO’s positions during the campaign and I do not like his politics. For me it was easy to understand his popularity after 8 years of thieving and war crimes by President Cheney but that is because the American voter is generally lazy and poorly informed (bc he gets all his news from TV). BO is currently presiding over the final act of theft in this nation, the looting of the treasury by the bankers (which GWB started), the complete devaluation of the currency, the losses of retirements, homes , jobs and then the fact that the US exported this shit all over the world. We are indeed about to wake up as slaves on the land that the forefathers conquered. (Not a fan of the forefathers either as I am a Native American). Luckily, most Americans are safely tucked away and being drugged and dumbed down by their TV’s and by the excuse they call our “free press” so they will never get off the couch to notice that this banking game has played out time and again all over the world with the same players, Citibank, Goldman, etc. And it always ends up the same. Think I am wrong, just take a look at Argentina 2001. Same playbook. Same players-the fucking bankers. The Argentinians had a neo con leader who they ousted in favor of a left wing populist and he sold them down the river. No, I do not have high hopes for Barack for after all, he would not have been elected if he weren’t first vetted by the real players in the world and believe me, they are not “the people”. Far from recovery (which is what our press is telling us is coming) this country is about to sink even further into economic despair. I mean, seriously, people are living in fucking tents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are nationalizing the banks, the car makers, the insurance companies, I mean WTF is it that people cannot see? Sorry for the rant, it wasn’t really directed at you in particular but it is nice to have someone else recognize this very dangerous personality cult surrounding the Obamas. As a REAL Native American, I was taught that we can NEVER trust the USG to act on our behalf. It is still true.

Oh no believe me you only have to look to the rest of the world to see a lot of healthy cynicism/skepticism about Obama. Some people are impressed by him in Europe but the majority of us think America goes mad at the time of election of a new leader. It is like electing a new action hero, or the new messiah. Nobody seems to grasp that this man is just a person, he is not capable of doing any more or any less than any other person could do. Nobody seemed to even know what his policies were, or care. And that oratory style, so obviously cadged from Denzel Washington playing a President in that disater flick to me, I forget its name. Its like if he says things in a bombastic enough tone, that is all he needs to do, doesn’t actually have to SAY anything. I felt bad for Hillary, she had the greater experience and to me judgment, but lacked the panache of Obama. In the UK people did note that her policies were actually far more radical than Obama’s, on health care for one. In the UK it is so different because people look down on politicians as boring old farts, it couldn’t be more different. People aren’t that informed on poiicy either but we tend to at least give us a cursory glance over what that might be. And the big difference is of course we elect a party and not a politician, so its much more about policy, less about personality, although the personality of the PM does count. We elected a mayor in London last year and because we were voting for an individual, the guy who had the highest media profile won by a landslide. He was an MP but was considered completely eccentric and a bit of a joke and his fame came from hosting political satire TV shows. People thought he was funny though and voted for him in droves, and I suspect quite a lot of that support came from young people. Whether anyone thought he could run London or not was neither here nor there. So yes, the UK is also not immune from the cult of personality. I think it would help the American system if you voted for a party not the leader, then there has to be some focus on policy as well as personality.

    @MaeIAsk:

Yep, basically the global meltdown was essentially started by sub-prime mortgages in the US. A lot of the big investment banks in the UK are American anyway or were sold sub-prime debt in bundles by American banks. The dumb old Brit bankers were too dumb to realise it though. They were enjoying their mega, short-term profits and resultant bonuses and didn’t stop to think about a small little detail such as whether the people being sold these loans could pay them back at all. And the British govt did nothing to stop it, opting for light touch regulation rather than heavier intervention. No-one wanted to seem like they were arguing against success you see? So the UK went through its boom period based on the wealth created by the city, house prices soared, especially in London, but it was all based on false premises. So once the banks realised what was going on they stopped lending to each other because they didn’t know which banks had the bad debts and which didn’t, and they stopped lending to businesses/people too. The economy ground to a halt, property prices have plummeted by 20% in the last two years, no-one can get a mortgage to buy a house so no-one can sell one either (everyone has to rent it out or face repossession), industry is collapsing, people are being made redundant all over the place, we’re up shit creek without a paddle. One bank got nationalised, more were bailed out to the tune of billions but are still not lending, interest rates have been slashed to 0.5% I think they are now. Banks still don’t know who has bad debt and who hasn’t so won’t lend to each other still, govt may have to create a bank to absorb all the bad debt I think (i.e. the taxpayer wll), we have also had quantitative easing (printing more money). The pound has lost about a third of its value and we also have deflation for the first time in many years I believe. That is just a brief run down of it, I may have got a few details wrong, I’m sure other Brits can correct me if so. And no we don’ have 60% tax. Everyone pays 22% on the first £30,000 (used to be $60,000, now about $45,000), and up until recently it was 10% I think on the first £10,000, this is now ended. £30,000 plus is 40% I believe, but the first £30,000 is still at 22% if you see what I mean. They have now introduced a 50% tax bracket for people earning over £150,000 to try to repay our massive govt debt caused by the bailouts. BUT we do get free health care, college tuition fees paid (apart from a means-tested contribution which was £1000 a year when I was at college, may have gone up to £3000 now, but I didn’t have to pay it anyway), and benefits (for food and rent) for as long as people are out of work i.e. there’s no time limit on it. So yeah, I don’t know what tax you pay in the states (I assume you’re there) but I think we get a lot more for it.

@Constant Gardner:This is shocking news to me, CG. I thought she was oblivious, right up to and even following the National Enquirer stories. I thought she thought JE was being set up by the NE and chose to continue to believe her husband.

“That means that Michelle would have become a Jew if she married Rivera”

Really?!?!? Is that how one becomes a Jew? By marrying one? I had no idea. You marry a Jew and you automatically become one? Wow, go know.

Actually, before I go to the store for some kool-aid, I have a suggestion for you. Go to a mirror, and say,
With all due honesty, who is drinking the kool.-aid?
The operative word here, is HONESTY!

I personally think Americans would have voted for a dog just to get Bush/Cheney gone.

Thanks to liking to keep things short due to TOS, my above statement sounds trashy. I usually don’t vote because the presidency can be bought (proved twice by Bush). I voted this time and voted for Obama because of his family. Their daughters look happy and loved and I think they both want whats best for them and I feel while he is trying for a better world for his daughters, my daughter may somehow get lucky and benefit. I would have voted this time anyway for anythong but the Bush administration but liked the way Michelle Obama handled herself. His presidency so far surpassed what I expect from him, if gave me faith that the American people are finally tired of the hate the Bush Administration accomplished. I do wonder why McCain is going over to North Korea to talk again with his friends.

Ugh, I cannot stand this woman or her husband. I predicted it would be bad with them, but not this bad. It is amazing how shady this guy is. Here he is telling people to make sacrifices, and uses tax funded planes, helicopter’s and escorts to take his wife on a date to NY. People that had to move aside in traffic stupidly cheered him. Two weeks in front of the White House when I was in DC, I flicked it a big fat bird. I would have dropped my pants and mooned it if I didn’t risk getting arrested. I’m very disgusted over nightmare. Our press sucks and the only objective reporting you can get on this guy seems to be in the UK. I mean, seriously, without the TOTUS (Teleprompter of the US), this guy is a bumbling fool.

Try working in finance and it being one of your hobbies as well and you would really be freaking out. Better yet, read Atlas Shrugged, and get goosebumps on fiction becoming reality. Sorry, I am a capitalist pig with a Capital C, all the way. I am Christian but am in no way a far right freak. Anyone too far on the other side of the spectrum belongs in a nuthouse, IMHO. My favorite lib is Camille Paglia….love her, love her! It took Carter to bring us Reagan who led us into the delish era of the 80s, so hopefully, he won’t go as far as Carter and wake someone up to fix the mess he started.

BTW, this mess started with Carter. He planted the seed. I did a HUGE paper on it. It was furthered along by Clinton in 1999. It bore its evil fruit starting around 2007, and rotted last year. We were further screwed when Bush signed the first “stimulus” packet written by our idiotic House of Reps, openly abandoning the “free market”. I specifically remember when that happened, I threw my remote at my TV and broke it… I was that pissed off.

That’s all I have to say about that. I can’t afford to break my employer’s monitor.
