IUC Exclusive: Weisfeld/Macmillan lawsuit turns even uglier in ODB Book Scandal
This case is developing into the major publishing legal battle 
of 2009. We first reported on the 10 million dollar libel/defamation lawsuit that mega literary agent Jarred Weisfeld filed against Macmillan Publishing, and author Jaime Lowe. Macmillan Publishing has just filed papers asking for the dismissal of the case. Something that IanUndercover also first reported. However since we reported last a lot has happened for instance the world Shylock as what Weisfeld is depicted as in the book, Digging for Dirt: The Life and Death of ODB, has been outlawed in the State of Florida. Also, insiders tell us that top libel attorney’s in the UK have been in contact with Weisfeld about filing suit in the UK since the book is published there as well. This could happen soon as a source close to Weisfeld admitted to IUC that a multi-million dollar lawsuit in the U.K., where libel laws are more rigid, is a likely possibility. Heeb Magazine just ran an in-depth report on the case insinuating that author Lowe’s work was shoddy.

ReplyIan – you are on your own on this one. You run a site that encourages people to call certain celebrities all manner of horrible things – yet you object to Shylock – you can’t have it both ways dude – civility is civility whether it’s cause you care about or the cash cow you are milking.

ReplyThese are nothing close to the same. If you took the time to read the accompanying article, you would quickly see that. Basically, this woman Lowe is saying that Weisfield was a shylock. Claiming that, knowing ODB was in a really bad way, this fellow (according to her poorly researched work) used him to make money, etc. What she did is very wrong and yes, there was some anti-semitic undertone too. This is total apples and oranges to what we’ve been (for the most part) discussing.

@ Z – its called “divide and rule”. I am a greater threat to them so they are trying to pick me off first and get rid of me and then I would imagine go for Kate. They don’t hate her so much because she doesn’t call them out like I do, so their fraudulent posters would get a bit further if I wasn’t here. Kate hasn’t posted so much on blogs as I have I think so can’t tell so easily when they are obviously fake and when they aren’t. Cadiebelle has been around for a while, she’s obviously back for another attempt – ha ha! Lately they are going with the Keane is a cyber bully or Keane is in fact Ian angle. I actually take it as a huge compliment that they are so obsessed with me. I am obviously really bothering them. Its always satisfying to know that you are making a little difference somewhere – ha ha!

ReplyHow is anyone “for” anti-semitism? Sorry, such a rhetorical question. That’s just nuts and we all know it. As for the other topic that none of us want to touch with a 10 ft pole…………if a person can french kiss their immediate family in public, how does one come to establish a level of doubt as to the kids, some of whom are not blood relatives. It hasn’t even been discreet with the familial love. One cannot and I repeat cannot be surprised about a kid potentialy being objectified. Is it horrifying? Absolutely, but somebody knows something and can save those children if they will only step outside of their own selfish interests and do it.
Yes let’s “Save the Children” by bashing the parents – a very intelligent argument.
