Some might find the idea of marrying without divorcing previous spouse unbelievable; however, i personally know a female who has done this, …. several times. As she tells it, “HE” probbly got a divorce/annulment/whatever, so i don’t need to bother. And off to the wedding chapel she goes…again and again. One in Florida, one in Oklahoma, one in Texas, one in Alabama. What amazes me most is none of them seem to have bothered to contact her, any of her known friends, to discover what was occuring? Same with Jolie. We know Toni could not have been privy to personal information from Jolie in 1994 – so, someone has talked specifically to Toni about this. Now, who would have this information ? Jolie, possibly her brother, her late mother?. It’s beyond belief how so many dastardly facts surround Angelina Jolie, yet none of them “come out”, while suppostition and gossip deroggatory to Jennifer Aniston is printed immediately as FACT…..

I’m not sure why everyone keeps assuming that getting married abroad isn’t binding in the US. Surely the South Americans and the Europeans who move to the States don’t have to get remarried in the US for their marriages to be considered legal.

Just a reminder, Ian is writing a book, he is not going to put it all out here otherwise no on will buy the book. I do agree Toni is looking less credible every single day. I personally don’t care if she got married when she was that young, she could have thought he filed and she just nver checked, I know a few that got hung up like that when they were going to get married again and they asked for when and where they were married and divorced before. The point though is, she is not a bigamist. She did not intentionally “Not” get divorced it was just irresponible, and it is rarely enforced unless there is incest or financial fraud involved. If she is married to Brad Pitt, and that is legal in the USA well then her marriage to Brad is not valid. End of story. That would mean not divorce, and no problem when she adopted Pax. On second thought maybe that is why she did it. 200 million dollar prenup, so not like she was going to milk him for life, the kids will do that.
So no real significance here other than how it affects her marraige to Brad Pitt. I could see this being Catherine Keener, she hangs all over Brad and always has. She and Jolie became good friends when she produced “Lost Boys of Sudan” there is that Sudanese again. She has remained friends with Jen so not a stretch that she could lead Ian to Jen, although Ian knows Jen’s friends so I am guessing that means with enough influence to get a story. Who else could do that? Why would she do it though, she has been his long term friend, if she felt thrown aside, yeah I could see that for sure. She I would believe. I just do not believe anything Jolie has told her, but BRAD told her this…or so she says, sounds to me like he made excuses to his good friend who also cares about Jen as to why he cheated. jmo
I still think Kristin Hahn is writing the book Ted spoke of yesterday, she was let go about a year after he and Jolie hooked up, and she is now Jens partner. She has written other books as well. Established author.
Not a far fetch that Jen would learn of this and say , well fuck it, two can play this game, and it may well be with Brad’s permission if he is angry about this person speaking out. That book was to talk mostly about Holie, and how she is. Did not say it would reveal anything about Jen and Brad.
If Brad and Jen are friends again, if they are in cahoots for whatever reaosn, business, the kids, property, it makes sense to me.
I do agree though, before Ian’s books ever get out there, Toni will have destroyed all credibility. She is all over the page, and what was done to Jen yesterday is just really grossly unfair.
Because I know Ian is a decent person, I am waiting to see how this plays out.He must have a reason for it, and for not hanging Brad out to dry.

Reply@CC:It has to do with the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the Constitution – and it’s why gay marriage is going to be problematical – if the marriage is recognized as valid in another jurisdiction, the U.S. must recognize it (again gay marriage runs into the Defense of Marriage Act). Both Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes and John Travolta/Kelly Preston’s foreign marriages are not valid in the U.S. because they didn’t follow the laws of Italy and France (which I believe require a civil marriage and then a religious marriage at your option). Mick Jagger claimed his marriage to Jerry Hall in Bali wasn’t legal. They settled before the issue was ruled on.
Just my opinion but I’m starting to wonder if Ian isn’t trying to get sued. Suit=depositions. Lies under oath, not smart.

ReplyIf she’s still married to this person, could it not have a huge ripple effect on Brad and Angie’s custody/dissolution agreements? If they (Brangie) were married in any ceremony that would be legally binding in the U.S., absent a binding pre-nup, they would have to split their assets in a divorce. If she’s operating under the assumption that she’s entitled to half his assets because of the alleged marriage, this could throw a huge wrench in her plans. I’m not sure I believe any of this, but the possibility of it all is interesting. Of course, if Brad and Angie were never married then this won’t affect the outcome much. It would make the adoptions as a single person a bit of a problem!

This is a bit confusing. The time lines do not really add up because of course she is putting info out there. I read last night that she filed for divorce 11 days after entering the US with Mad, she adopted him while working on Beyond Borders. While BBT had to sign off on the adoption, she adopted him in behalf of them both at that time. Then she got his legal papers and brought him back to the US, I don’t remember if he went with her. Back then he talked alot about how happy they were to adopt this little boy and what it meant to them as a couple. You can still find those interviews.
When she filed for divorce she asked for sole custody, and received it, and a sealed visitation schedule was drawn up. He spent time with him. They had a falling out in July 03 , and then made up and he again he entered the picture. He kind of came and went, and back again, but not all his fault. He was still upset about the divorce. Then he was spending time with him after they made up and through 2004 and some of 2005, according to her comments and his at that time. Bella was born in the fall of 2004 and Brad of course was there so he backed off or they have a deal. She made a comment in 2004 when asked what kind of dad did she want for Mad, and she said, “I would rather take him to Cambodia and raise him with strong men around him as mentors than have one that comes and goes. Then she went on to describe Brad the Dad, never using his name of course but that being the kind she wanted. The reporter noted how her voice softened at that time. Yep, she had found her baby daddy, fool that he was. This is mid 2004.
Now two weeks or so ago BBT we hear wants to file for full custody of his son. Up to this point Mad is listed as his son on most all sites, and updated. We heard about him and Tea, she works things out and goes back to hubby. Jolie is fighting custody, then we get, Billy diluted, not sure if that is him or Bill Clinton, but at any rate follows a interview just a few days ago where he states he did not adopt Mad, just went along with it to make her happy. He made his relationship with Mad sound like any kid on the street. However, in all past interviews he will talk about how he and Ang talk, and not about gossip around them but Mad. I think he lied here to cover up the intent to file for custody because that draws attention to the fact they have split. Favor to Angie.
So now we have him denying the adoption, which only means that he did not readopt once she got him back to California. It does not absolve him of any legal responsibility, and people get confused about that. Unless he said at that time, “I give up all parental rights’ then he still has them. So was the source here wrong and BBT did not threaten to take Mad and file for sole custody, or did he say that to cover up that report like the dog story that was put out on Salt to cover up the ball licking story? Cover up of course as I said. JMO
BBT made a public declaration that Mad was his son, he wove his name with his other sons and Angelina’s on a tattoo on his back I believe, he stated, “he will always be my son” ..so did he have a deal with Angelina, I will let you change his name without a fuss, and Brad can be legal guardian as long as you do not marry him..that is what was recently put out. Is that why the marriage is kept quiet? Either way we know Brad did not adopt Mad, and if these two have had an affair for 18 months then when Angelina talked about starting the adoption process in 2003 he was part of it. First Russia, blond hair blue eyed little Brad, but he gets dumped because she says it was taking too long, for who? She denies this of course. Angelina talks about her and Brad doing the 2nd home study together for Zahara, and she jumbles it up trying to explain that he was there only as a friend.
Sounds like they adopted Zahara together and the process started in 2003, long before he left Jen. The person who should go to jail imo , is him!

@ Kate – yeah I’m sure there’s a lot going on behind the scenes that we don’t know about and Ian can’t tell us at this stage. I’m sure Jen’s lawyers are just as fearsome as Ange’s. My main problem with it though is its a story that is damaging to Jen coming from a friend of Ange. If its a friend of Ange talking about Ange or a friend of Jen talking about Jen then that’s fine, but a friend of Ange’s revealing this about Jen? I’m not saying its not true, just that, considering what has been going on on this site from word go, it doesn’t seem straighforward or innocent on the source’s part. And correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t this source say she was no longer friends with Ange but she met up with her for dinner a few weeks ago? Well, if that’s true then it says it all doesn’t it. I’m not necessarily questioning the info, it may well be true, just thinking about the timing and who has a vested interest. Well that is true, does not sound like Keener there does it, but the comment about John Mayer sounds so out of context. John dated Jessica Simpson in a very high profile romance and she was hurt when he dumped her, so what in the world would make this woman say this? If she had said, “but then I wondered because she has only been aligned with bi guys, like VV, PS, JM, , but then hell, Brad is bisexual. This just does not freaking wash out.
Here Brad is banging guys on the side and has for years (according to the sources) and yet he is the one wondering. You know what, this story combats that story that went all over the internet about 2 months ago- “Jen knew brad was bisexual, she thought she could handle it, she tried a few girls, and a guys, but she did not like the girls, she is heterosexual, but her heart was hurt by Mark Wahlberg. Brad had been seeing his land scape architect, and he agreed to break it off, but he was depressed and would not leave the house. So he hooked back up with him behind his back and Jen found out. She could not take it anymore. She did not want that kind of marriage, but then he met Angelina, and she was more his match, the same kind of sexual animal (sound familiar) and so he left her for Angelina. At that point Jen decided she wanted him back , that she could make it work, but it was too late.”
Now I ask you, which one sounds more believable? That one has been online for years. It did not flourish until Ian started this story and we questioned it back in January. In fact it was one of my very first disagreements with Ian. It was then he said “Jen wants Brad back and will do what ever it takes to get him back’ and I stand by my sources. That came from a friend of Jen’s.
So which story is true? This story Toni is telling sure does squash the gay rumors for Brad doesn’t it. Convenient it came out after the story of him with boyfriends and him forcing Jen into threesomes.
This is why I do not believe it. If Brad is bisexual, he is not going to walk away from someone he loves if she is also bisexual, and go to someone else who is. Brad and Jen had the perfect set up to live out their life with each other and their other little side kicks, and no one the wiser. Now look, everyone knows he is bisexual on the internet, and it is only a matter of time.
So did Angelina put this out or Brad? If Brad did, then he and Jen have not reconciled and won’t even be friends for long. JMO of course.

Again, just my opinion, but getting one of the three to sue for libel is a clever way of taking at least two of them down. Not only would there be depositions but the defendant has the right to demand the case be tried in open court. Standard Operating Procedure is to ask questions that you know will be stricken, but the jury already has heard so places doubt in their minds.

Let me explain, with this, as an analogy, then I will get to what I mean about what you posted. There is a law in the US called “the Good Samaritan Law”. What this is , is that say you see a person on the road , unconscious, bleeding, whatever. You{GS} stop and help this person, CPR, clean their wounds , call EMS.
Say this person dies, i.e. while you are giving CPR, or you accidently injure them by moving them , etc. ,what this law does is protect the Good Samaritan from any prosecution, if something went wrong with them helping out a victim. This law was designed so peopel would not be afraid to stop and help someone injured. Here is a link.

Now in regards to what you posted it is almost similar, in it if a person is bound by a confidentialty agreement, this only holds effect the person, or i.e. persons under such agreement. What this does not cover is any abuse to kids, dogs, cats, whatever. A person, just like a teacher or a doctor, layman like you and me, are bound at least here in the US to report it to the authories. If it is found out that a person witnessed an act of brutality and did not report it, and the said person dies, than that person who did not report it can be prosecuted. It ties into the GS law, as to why I brought it up, their are laws that will protect a person even if there is abuse, what it does not protect them from is violating the CA, by speaking out against said person, like gossip , or a tell-all. As well these people who witness any acts of abuse, DO NOT have to give their name. It can be done anoymously.
ReplyCPS{child protective services} has a national hotline to report abuse, and I have posted this before, CPS has to investigate any and every report. If I called on my neighbor and said something like, my neighrbor is leaving her baby home alone, by law that report has to be investigated, even if it isn’t true, that’s the law.

@ Mama San – see that’s the bit that I find extremely hard to believe about things in the US, that you can get hold of these people’s addresses and numbers just like that. In the UK, everyone, even just people who do real life stories in magazines and newspapers, automatically go ex-directory. No-one is ever, ever in the phonebook, you can never just ring them up. You have to use the online electoral roll records to find out their address then I generally call a neighbour and ask them to drop them a note asking them to call me. You can never just get their number off the directory, I wish you could, would make life at lot easier. And these are just members of the general public. And you can just get this woman’s details using the public records in the U.S.? Do you not have an ex-directory system at all? I would be amazed if anyone could just call her or say Mr and Mrs Pitt senior just like that.

Our telephone books published by the individual telephone companies have the subscriber’s name, address and telephone number – a subscriber can have their name, address and telephone number not printed at all if desired (that is referred to as an unlisted number – which certain authorities such as police and fire departments still have access to (I think)), or they can have their name with no address but the telephone number is still printed. The norm is to have it printed. Many single women do not put their complete names in the telephone directories and instead have last name, first initial, no address, telephone number.

Angelina to Brad: You stink!
Calm down, Angelina did not sleep with Brad. She couldn’t bear to be naked and close to him. Don’t get me wrong, she thinks he is great and a wonderful person but she cannot get naughty with someone who smells like a dumpster behind a Chinese food restaurant.
A direct quote from Angelina: “Brad smells badly.”
Jolie’s publicist says, “She isn’t saying he smells badly to anyone but her and even then it is just an opinion and the kind of opinion that, she is saying, would keep her from using her nostrils close to him, as she would if they had sex.”
Apparently, Angie has a very delicate constitution and is very sensitive to bad odors. Which reminds me of myself- I was shopping today and a guy wearing mesh shorts and a half shirt farted, causing me to collapse and gasp for clean air. It was a big production. I came home needing a vodka and a Xanax along with a big bag of lavender potpourri to shove my face into.
Rumors a few years back indicated that Jennifer Aniston had to “clean Brad up”. Brad might be the only guy I know of to need a douche and a full body Lysol bath. Hang a pinecone air-freshener around his neck and he might look kind of cute.

Hilton) This used to be a civil place for intelligent discussion & debate – now it’s becoming like the WWF – very disappointed. Why can’t people be respectful of differing opinions? Custody wasn’t an issue in the divorce. From all reports the divorce was amicable and agreements were all worked out without any judicial intervention. You can pretty much put anything you want into a divorce agreement. For instance, that your ex-husband can have the dogs on the weekends. In BBT & AJ divorce you did not have a court ordered visitation – it was just an agreement between the parties. I realize that dogs are considered property as children are not but she had sole custody of Maddox and if BBT had ever had adopted Maddox or had adopted him and not signed off on his termination of parental rights then he would have had to sign off on Maddox’s name change. No court would consider it in the best interests of a child to change his name to that of just a “boyfriend” unless that boyfriend was in the process of adoption or had completed the adoption. As everyone should know California adoption records are sealed. That’s not quite how it works. You cannot just ask any questions you want. Further, questions that plaintiffs, defendants or witnesses do not want to answer for whatever reasons ( irrelevancy, beyond the scope, form of the quesiton ) would be objected to and a judge would either eventually (in the case of a deposition) or fairly quickly ( during a trial ) rule as to whether the question had to be answered.
Attorneys anticipate objectionable questions and even entire subject matters ahead of time and ask that they it be determined by the judge if the opposing attorney can even ask the question or get into a certain issue. These challenges and determinations are not done in the presence of a jury for the very reason you cite above – that the question itself may unfairly be given credence just because it was asked. Unless you are dealing with dumb attorneys you do not deliberately ask questions you know will be stricken or are in defiance of a judge’s order. Most attorneys are not willing to be held in contempt or risk sanctions by bar counsel for some stupid wish of their clients. In the instances where an attorney does ask such a question that is so prejudicial you would then move for a mistrial and probably get it. The idiot party responsible for causing the mistrial could end up being ordered to pay the legal costs of the other party incurred because of the mistrial and a potential retrial.
Just for the record all trials in the U.S. are assumed to be in open court except juvenile and some family matters. Perhaps what you mean is that a defendant has the right to a jury trial as opposed to a bench trial (judge only). This depends on the jurisdictional issues of the case. I assume libel in all states and certainly in federal court warrants a jury trial unless waived by the parties.

I have no information either way. What do I think? The only objective and independent information avaliable that I have seen indicates that he finalized it for Pax and was either in the process of had finalized it for the first two. I have heard a lot of arguments to the contrary but they usually are just assumptions based on misunderstandings of the process, .e.g., that you have to be in one location for a certain uninterrupted period of time to complete required homes studies. That just isn’t true. So there are a number of factors that point to adoptions. The topic sure does seem a hot button for some.

I actually feel sorry for her. I have a friend who is the manager of a department at the BBC and they actively, positively frown on their employees posting on gossip blogs such as this, claiming to work for them. Especially as many of her rants are so foul- mouthed. yet she is so deluded that she claims that she plans to be making a programme on Ian’s book when (and if) it comes out. Well if that’s true I feel her shame from here when they laugh her out of the conference room. If her attitude at work is anything like on here I can see her now swearing at them for not going for her pitch. It’s embarrassing because she obviously has no idea how she sounds with her wild everyone on here that questions anything too much for her liking is actually Angelina claims.
Anyway, I’ve promised Kate not to talk about her anymore so this is my last comment about her. And we shall see, maybe Sugar Ray will be on the BBC’s Panorama talking in riddles, or perhaps Question Time as of course completely unfounded bestiality related celebrity tittle- tattle is top of their programming schedule. Just the sort of high brow content the BBC seeks to broadcast.
Personally, I would not talk about my employer here or anywhere else on the internet especially with regards to a website they would not necessarily like to be associated with. Researchers do use sites such as this, not to flame and swear at those they find disagreable as for the most part they as part of their job description remain impartial. Usually they post one coherent, tightly- worded comment, along with a contact email address, saying discreetly they are looking for contributors for a show. So whether we will be seeing Ian and his aliases on Newsnight remains to be seen.

Believe it or not, I got the illness on Fire Island on a school field trip before it was developed, and was one of the first cases on the Island to get it.Doctors didn’t know what is was and almost killed me with penicillin, it was a intern at Stony Brook University, thank G-D, who realized what it was and took care of me, and let me tell you, that shiznit knocked my ass out for a couple of rounds.

ET stood by their story because the producer that emailed Holly had her personal email from when they had worked together at CNN some years before. The Jolie-Pitt lawyers then very misguidedly tried to claim that it was a ‘fake’ Holly, which it was not. There was a little confusion because there had been a girl (not the one ET talked to though) who had for fun been writing a blog pretending to be Holly and on that blog she wrote that AJ had given birth in a little hospital near Marseille. ET saw this and then emailed the real Holly for confirmation and she wrote back something like, “All good here, just waiting for the deliveries’ which ET then took as a confirmation AJ had gone into labour not realising it wasn’t her who had written the blog. The girl writing the blog had to delete it as she had Marty Singer & co [AJ's LA based litigators] come down on her like a tonne of bricks. But it is a fact that the real Holly did, back in the days when it was just her and AJ, at times respond off the record to media enquiries, not a fact that the Pitt legal team wanted made public.
AJ and Holly met back when she did the Tomb Raider films as Holly had a phase when she wanted to be an actress. They got on and AJ employed her as her PA and was a bridesmaid at Holly’s wedding. She also then employed Holly’s husband too. I have no idea why Holly disapeared after the birth of the twins in Nice. Thanks for the reminder though but I’ve got it all printed out and in note form right by my side. I have never said that I currently work for the BBC or that anything I have said is as a representative of the organisation. Just that I have made several programmes for them, both in-house and out, and that that’s where I learnt all about editorial policy. Sounds a bit like you’re trying to discredit her as a source there to me, call me cynical. Since then they have moved down the Coast to Brignoles to the Chateau Miraval which they bought. Two different properties.

Hayden claims that Tay – a drug-addled exotic dancer who appeared on Stern’s show as a character called “The Space Lesbian” – ended up shooting several bags of smack into her arm that night and overdosed in a friend’s apartment on Avenue B. (It is unclear whether Tay used the money from Shimizu’s ATM to buy the drugs on which she overdosed.)
“Jenny later called me and said how sorry she was for what happened,” Hayden relates. “She said she’d pay for the funeral, but she never paid a dime. She didn’t even go to the service.”
