Tom Grant is currently working on a self-funded documentary “Project Unplugged-Kurt Finally Speaks Out” (being launched on Youtube), but he is having some funding difficulties. Tom is grateful for all of his support, whether it be just moral support, or financial support. You only have to donate $20 dollars to be listed as a contributor in the ending credits. If you can’t afford to donate (which I strongly urge you to do so, even if it’s $3-5 dollars) , then sign up to youtube and subscribe to his channel for updates.

It won’t be a work of art, but possibly some new information will be released… It’s gonna be a low-budget masterpiece! Stay tuned.

Again, if you support Tom’s plight to bring justice, please donate.

@IanUnderCover- Would you be a financial contributor? If you don’t want to financially contribute, can you maybe put a Project Unplugged banner on your webpages?

I am a 21 year old NIRVANA fan that thinks that Kurt’s murder going unresolved for 15 years is 15 years too long…
Justice for Kurt.

I interviewed Ian Halperin in 2004 when his second book about Kurt Cobain came out: "Love & Death..The Murder of Kurt Cobain". I remember it was a nice talk of about 40 minutes. Among all the things we talked about...he said: "The Seattle Police Department investigated this case for ten minutes. We did it for TEN YEARS!". Ian halperin and his writing partner Max Wallace really did a great job. There is NO doubt for me that Kurt Cobain was murdered. It's been scientifically proven that "A dead man can't pull the trigger". Kurt was already dead when he got the shotgun. As for the so called "suicide note"...it wasn't a suicide note but a good bye note addressed to the music business and his fans. I really hope some day this case can be reopened. R.I.P Kurt Cobain

Re: Courtney. It occurred to me today that her descent in to drugged up fuckery since Cobain died may not have been caused by grief after all, especially if she was planning to divorce him. It occurred to me that it may be a much stronger emotion indeed that's causing her to self-destruct, because she clealry is, God knows how she's still here. And it occurred to me that the emotion which is capable of fucking someone up much more than grief, could be guilt. Just a thought.

<a href="#comment-9344" rel="nofollow">@knowone:</a>
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make light of the survivors of suicide. She was a skanky hot mess before he died and I think his Nirvana band mates have made that clear with comments over the years. It seemed like she was acting guilty, whether for sins of comission or omission, after his death. I guess both would be understandable, although she did seem to really enjoy basking in the publicity sunshine afterward. Cobain was a genuine musical genius and she was in his shadow. That's gotta be tough for an attention-ho. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that it wasn't suicide.

It's a tragedy for the children either way.

<a href="#comment-9325" rel="nofollow">@stinky-inky:</a>In my work, I help suicide survivors. It is a bad, bad, bad recovery, and in all honesty (and I would not say this to a survivor) I'm not sure a person ever really "recovers" from the loss of a loved one to suicide. The drug use is to deal with the guilt, survivor's guilt, just like a holocaust survivor. So, when someone is able to function perfectly and continue on with a "normal" life following the suicide of a loved one, it usually means they're in denial and the breakdown can happen years later. Or, the breakdown occurs in the years following the death. YEARS. It takes years to process this type of death. Not at all like a "normal" death, b/c it is sudden, it is violent, and it leaves so much guilt and remorse and shame and regret in its wake. So, that Courtney was already an addict, of course in stress a person's coping behavior is worsened. Bad coping habits escalate. It makes sense to me that she could not handle her finances. And that lots of people were already blaming her for Kurt's death means she herself cannot cope and drug use escalates, inability to concentrate and function, finances often get spent, among normal people, b/c they're too complicated. I hope Frances Bean has received a lot of good care, even though it appears that Courtney is still very much struggling to survive. So very sad.

I never believed he committed suicide until we started seeing more of Courtney Love. Then it all made sense.

<a href="#comment-8698" rel="nofollow">@Keane:</a>It all depends on how the trust or trusts were set up and who is the trustee. From what I gather there was a will, so if the will was written in better times and named Courtney as the trustee, and was set up for Frances' benefit (without restriction) Courtney can claim that the money was spent providing a home for Frances and there's not a damn thing anyone can do. The upside of trusts are they aren't made public and they aren't under the supervision of the courts. The downside, trustees can loot them.

If I recall correctly at one point, one of the Grandmothers had custody of Frances for at least a year or more. The other relatives may not have been sophisticated enough or had the money to take a case to court to have Courtney removed as the trustee from Frances trust.

Side note: Washington is a community property state, so I/2 of whatever Kurt made during the marriage was automatically Courtney's.

You have some good points there....yeah, maybe he didn't want to try to OD and fail. And yeah, it was violent...I've read that men are more likely to use a gun to commit suicide - whereas women would prefer to OD....so that fits. It sure seems like is was convenient for Courtney, though.
