IUC Exclusive: Meet Our New Contributor, Ms. NineCent – The World’s First Nine Word Blogger and hottest Muslim Chick On Earth(Please give her a rousing IUC Welcome)
Welcome Ms. Nine Cent, looking forward to your contributions. Do tell us more on why Brad’s less dismal. Does it have anything to do with some high end relief?
@Hope:
I think the weirdness is most cases are exposed or suspected. In this case there’s been a great deal of slight-of-hand. Though I thought there were huge potholes in the arrangement from the first myself. So maybe it appeals to people like me for that reason.
Otherwise.
Lohan, Brit. eh..you know what to expect.
Closeted Gay/Bis? Maybe. But unless it’s REALLY surprising (rare for this business), it doesn’t register much at this point.
I think it’s the grand deception of it. Also for whatever reason, Pitt (and whomever he’s with) has always garnered a lot of intrigue.
@ Hope – and the fact that they are the biggest famewhores currently out there and they have purposely set out to make themselves the most famous people in the world, and have achieved that. And they’ve managed to foster an entirely duplicitous image unlike most celebs who get called out pretty early on in the game. Everyone says Ange is a PR genius and tigthly controls the media coverage of herself. The degree of stories abotu Brange is proportionate to the level of attention they have sought to focus on themselves. And as I have said before, when you purposely set out to get attention, you cannot be surprised if all of it is not quite as positive as you may have hoped.
@ Ms Nine Cent – so is he more cheerful cos he’s worked out a deal for custody or because all is going well with Miss Washington connections?
this site is ridiculous…someone sent me here because it had breaking scoops that no one else had….but all i see are “unnamed sources” . Hey i’ve got some gossip too…lets see what i can make up :
a source close to jen aniston says she smokes like a chimney…oooh shocking…..here’s another : brad and angelina fight like every other couple in the world says a source close to the brangelina camp…
really people……really ? at least perez hilton gets it right once in a while……this Ian guy is a joke
@ Canuck – aw I’m jealous, I definitely want to travel around there, and ideally the Sudan and Libya at the same time. Got to see all the Egyptian and Roman monuments, and I hear they’re particularly good in the Sudan. Egypt worries me though because there’s quite a high risk of terrorism around a lot of the main tourist sites isn’t there? I know there has been in Moroccan hotels too but it bothers me more when its the main tourist sites for some reason, it would kind of take the edge off the enjoyment for me really. Of course they tried to bomb the northern line which is my main route into town and family of those bombers lived just down the road from my old flat, but for some reason it bothers me more in holiday destinations. I guess I don’t want my holiday enjoyment to be marred by the threat of imminent death, if I’m going to work, it doesn’t matter so much! As an aside, I was actually in Morocco at the time of 9/11, which was, er, interesting to say the least…
@Keane:
I was living in Turkey when 9/11 happened, you would have thought it had happened in Istanbul from the reaction of the average Turkish person. Disbelief, sadness and anger. It only took a year or so for that sympathy to be wasted but I’m not going to get into political bashing in that sense here. I read and appreciated the speech Obama made there today (?) though.
Libya is on my list of places to see, I have family who spent time working there and apparently it’s a treasure trove of archeological sites and very nice people. My personal opinion is that it will be one of the “big” destinations in a few years, I’d like to see it before then. Sudan a lot less so. But you are right from a monument point of view, that too is a country with vast archeological treasures. We had friends in Egypt who had spent several years working in Khartoum, and for all that the country was corrupt and dangerous, they absolutely loved their time there and spoke of it with a great deal of affection. A lot had to do with their social life too, because as usual, the more dangerous the country, the more people stick together as a community.
We never once had any problems with any of the attacks that occured while we were there. I suppose that regardless of where you are, you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you look at the fatalities, 95% of those killed, even in the tourist zones were Egyptians. The whole point of course, is to disrupt the economy, which is does for a few months. That said, you are probably much much less likely to die or be injured in a violent attack in Egypt (all violence including those classed as terrorist) than you would be in New York or Los Angeles.
But yes, no one wants to go on holidays so that you can worry about your safety.
@p:
Have to agree there….it’s the lies and the face they put on, as opposed to reality that gets my dander (and curiosity) up. Most things that happen in HW aren’t that surprising.
@ All
Do any of you post on Ted C? I don’t know if I’m imagining it, but those “verification” words that you have to type in to post amuse the heck out of me because I suspect they are chosen as a subtle jab at the subject(s) of the posts. The last, on the “Madonna adoption- Is Brangie hampering her” post was for me, “Salt”.
@Keane:
“I was actually in Morocco at the time of 9/11, which was, er, interesting to say the least…”
I’d love to hear more about that, Keane.
@Canuck:
“It only took a year or so for that sympathy to be wasted”
That was all so despicable….what that administration did….the whole world lost sympathy. Sad. And it angered me, but yeah, I won’t go on….
Maybe,if the nine words contain a bombshell and continue to build a story, if not, No. Not to me. How do you wrap your mind around, “he is in a good mood” ..so….where is the story in that? Not trying to be nasty but at least the snipets Ian is putting out tell us something. Brad wants custody, She is trying kill him, he is gaga over someone, there is a Spitzer connection, see,those are at least concrete even if they have not been updated. I will reserve judgement though to see where it goes. Just sayin, Brad is in a good mood means nothing for me. Not sure I understand the purpose of a nine word blogger..unless that is the most their IPOD can handle. LOL
No offense Miss Nine Cent…I am the outspoken and radical one. lol I will lighten up as we go along.
@Kate:
Well nine words from Ms. Nine Cents is better than two words from Ms. Two Cents. It could have been “Brad happy”, and then where would we be? LOL
But Ms. Nine Cents, I noticed in Egypt that 5 minutes usually actually meant at least 30 minutes if not 45. So we won’t hold it against you if you decide to expand on your “Nine cents worth” in the same proportions
@Kate:
No, not a member, you can post as a non-member by entering your nickname and the “verification” word. I’ve been having a rather amusing time tormenting a few loonies with articles that disagree with the Brangie-worldview… lol
Look how many people believed the JP’s are happy great parents. They don’t even know one another. They met, threw in kids. threw in traveling, threw in movie making, threw in her third world trips and adoptions. They are not a couple. Pitt didn’t know what hit him. He got his rocks off and didn’t have time to think until now.
@Canuck:
oh you are talking about his blog articles… once it was changed over.. I quite reading over there, it gets posted all over the internet anyway. Just like lame brain lainey. I wish Ted had his own blog.
@Canuck:
lol…yeah, I noticed that about E!….and completely agree about the opportunity that was lost with the Bush administration…so frustrating to watch it slip away….and watch the world start to hate us. And be powerless…shaking head.
@deeca:
lol you know what that means, when all these other blogs have to come up with these little games for Pitt like a snapshot contest they know Ian Undercover is whupping their butt! lmao They are too frigging skeered of Pitt, probably are on his payroll to print the truth so they come up with silly stuff for hits while IAN prints the real truth. ha ha so funny. In the end they will all realize the best way to go is back to investigative journalistm, back to the Deep Throat days of Watergate, tell the truth, no favors to anyone, just get it out there and let the people decide.
Ian is out deep throat of the Entertainment Industry and I bet some of the other bloggers are jealous and the stars hate him.
So, bring it on Miss Nine Cent, and make it Deep! if you please, cheers!
@ Canuck – hm well not quite exactly. We were in Marrakesh I think, on our way back from the desert and Fez, and we didn’t have any access to mobiles or internet so we had no clue what was going on. We tried to find out about it in the internet cafes but the internet was being used so heavily we couldn’t even get any news sites to read about it. My friend ended up calling her mum who filled us in. We were out in the souks that day, not the friendliest of places at the best of times in terms of being hassled by people and people aggressively trying to make you buy things etc, and we were wary because we had absolutely no idea what was going on. A few of the men in the souks said to us: American? And we were like no, no we’re British and they said “lucky for you” and laughed. These men were happy about it, rejoicing in it. Not everyone was like that but no-one else really spoke to us about it so I couldn’t tell what the general view was. I certainly definitely did not see any grief. Morocco apparently fosters a lot of terrorists these days who go to Iraq and Afghanistan to attack US/British troops. I’m sure its still relatively safe to visit there though, there are worse places for sure. And yes that’s exactly why I want to go to Libya so much, they have amazing Roman ruins – well there not even ruins really, whole Roman cities mostly intact – much better than the ones in Rome. And Sudan is the same for Egypt, better monuments than the ones in Egypt and obviously totally untouristy. I’m not sure about how safe it is though, I think its ok outside Darfur isn’t it? Obviously its a hardline Islamic state though…
@Ms. NineCent:
Finally. I hesitate to get into politics here as it usually gets very nasty, very quickly. But this guy GETS IT. Thank god.@Kate:
Yes, it’s a shame that Ted doesn’t have more freedom, I’ll bet he would ROCK if he could say all that he really knows.
@Keane:
They were showing street scenes in Iran on Turkish TV where there were crowds of students (teen and early 20’s) out in the streets, manifesting sympathy for the US. That changed when they were branded as being part of the Axis of Evil.
I’m suprised that you ran into that sort of reaction in Morocco, I wouldn’t have expected that. Sadly, much of the ill-will towards the US in the Middle East stems from the view that some of the policies concerning certain allies is considerably less than even-handed. The view of the average Egyptian seemed to be that the Americans as people were great and they liked them a lot, but that the policies of the American government in the region were unfair and contributing to continued regional instability.
And they NEVER should have sent an arrogant prick like Wolfowitz to Turkey in the run-up to Iraq, he did far more harm than good because he had NO CLUE as to how to give the newly elected government a “way out” that would allow them to attain their own goals while helping the US. Instead that dirtbag came in and insulted them. How people like that get into a position of power, I’ll never know. Had he bothered to talk to even the local shoe-shine guy, he would have gotten a pretty clear view on the whole situation, as viewed by Turkey at the time.
Welcome, Ms. Nine Cent. Looking forward to the Nine Word contributions on all things Jolie, Pitt, and whatnot.
Islamic (and otherwise) friendship and understanding for this President and for the United States will last only until this President has to act, irrevocably and without remorse, in the American national interest. Americans do what they do because of where they are positioned in the world, globally, between two oceans on the North American continent-right in the middle of the busiest trade routes on the planet. I could go on, but suffice to say, American national interests are fundamentally permanent and have changed very little over time despite the changes in office and political parties. We have no permanent enemies, nor do we have permanent friends-only permanent national interests. The Persians, sad to say, do not understand this, while the Israelis understand this very, very well.
This has very little to do with George W. Bush or Barack H. Obama. In the long run, personality is irrelevant.
Those who tell you differently are doing you, and the rest of the Islamic world, a great disservice.
@Canuck:
I see what you mean Canuck…looking at Annenonymous’s post, I could get ugly….but then this would turn into the Yahoo threads…no thanks. So I’ll refrain.
I believe that too. I just think he was inflacturated with Jolie, and before he knew it he was caught in her web, like many before him and couldn’t get out.
