IUC Exclusive: Obama Getting Ready for Change if Things Don’t Improve Quickly

Posted on March 12th, 2009 by HisHighness in IUC:Entertainment, IUC:Exclusive

IUC has learned President Barack Obama will not sit still and watch the state of the economy and U.S. affairs sink faster than the Titanic.  A source close to his administration today admitted to IUC that the President is starting to panic.  “Wouldn’t you,” the source said.  “This guy inherited a complete mess.  When he wakes up to start work he doesn’t know where to turn his energy to the economy, the war or healthcare.  I promise you if things don’t change soon you’ll see a major overhall among his staff.  He’s not going to let them stay unless he sees quick and efficient results.”

Please give IUC your thoughts on where you predict the Obama administration is headed.

There is this american intellectual George Friedman who is currently touring Germany with his new book and he predicts that in 50 years from now ,the US will be on top of the world ,still/again. Europe has lost out because of oil depency from Russia, EU bureaucracy ect.. bla bla. I think it is a crappy analysis but if it helps to feel better … go ahead

Bush fucked this country up, Obama is gonna pull us out of this economic hole…

  3. anonymous said on March 12th, 2009 at 5:09 pm

The bailout only serves some billionaires, and the US will be bankrupt by 2010. According to analysts, Obama is likely to declare Martial Law in 2009.

  4. Keane said on March 12th, 2009 at 5:29 pm

Hand over to Hillary? If he’s waking up in cold sweats, maybe he’s not ready to do this. His oratory skills won him the presidency in my view, but inspiring speeches aren’t gonna dig the world out of major economic meltdown.

  5. Pilar said on March 12th, 2009 at 7:12 pm

Obama can start by getting the hell away from celebrities & rappers. I almost expect his next photo op to be with michael f*ckin’ vick.

  6. Kate said on March 12th, 2009 at 7:28 pm

I sure as hell hope his next move is not bringing his cheating cousin onboard somewhere, help us all.

    Angelina Jolie urges politics move

BRAD PITT: The Hollywood actor is considering going into politics.

Brad Pitt is considering moving into politics. The ‘Benjamin Button’ star, who was in Washington last week discussing the work of his New Orleans charity with Barack Obama, is said to be interested in running for office. According to Variety, his wife Angelina Jolie would welcome the move. A source said: “Angelina feels Brad would make a great politician. He would also compliment Angelina’s own efforts on behalf on UNICEF.” Pitt is also said to have the backing of several well-placed Hollywood execs including actor and producer William Carter, who served as a member of Senator John Warner’s staff.

    http://www.bild.de/BILD/news/bild-engli … ffice.html

Please tell us Ian, that Brad Pitt did not deflect his story, with this story? His secret little meeting with the Prez and now all of a sudden he is going to Washington D.C and it will not be Saint Angelina but the next frigging First Lady somewhere down the road with a White House pet, surely they are all jesting? Who else did this ass meet with besides Obama and Pelosi, there was someone else..this would just be too much.

    This is a joke, RIGHT

  7. Kate said on March 12th, 2009 at 7:50 pm

Well that was awfully quick, lol, hmmm, we must have been give all the money in China, suddenly we are not in such bad shape after all says Obama? say what? This moring he was having the sweats and now he is saying, aw shucks, lets just have a glass of wine and chill, buy yourself something while you are at it, things are not so bad after all. LOL yes indeed.

  9. Kate said on March 12th, 2009 at 8:54 pm

Why, a Presidency does not go down, one has to be impeached. It sounds like Ian is implying that Obama is going to replace his cabinet with some that we may not like.

The democratic party seems to always snatch defeat from the jaws of victory! What are Brad Pitt’s qualifications? How much education has he had?

His past will be scrutinized even before he starts to manipulate the press. They will remember how ill-received Sarah Palin was last year.

He will be ripped apart by the Republicans. There will be no mercy! Even a few Democrats wouldn’t want him, just like they didn’t want Caroline Kennedy.

I am an independent voter. I, for one, would warn the democratic party about this farce. If they want to self-destruct, that’s their right, I agree. But I’d hate for the Republicans to have another go at destroying our beloved country, anytime soon!

  11. Pilar said on March 13th, 2009 at 5:35 am

The democratic party & the republican parties are built on farces. You should know that already as an independent voter. This country needs a real change, starting with a break down of partisanship. I was horrified, this past election year more than ever, at the “fantatics” of both parties. From my mother thinking Palin was actually smart to my friends who believe Obama is the 2nd coming. Can you imagine the possibilites if Americans started thinking for themselves & stopped swallowing the bullsh*t dished out from both parties?

  12. section9 said on March 13th, 2009 at 7:28 am

Hmmm. I have predicted for some time on this board that Angelina would make a political move. Imagine if she and Brad had an overarching agreement to bury the hatchet and run for something as a political couple. I expected Jolie to run herself, but if she could front Brad as her store mannequin, then all the better, exercising power from behind the scenes. Brad’s easily manipulated, and he could be used to her ends by this ambitious shrew. However, I’d like to see his CV before he runs for Congress (again, it would be for an upcoast California congressional district, as a Dem).

As to Obama? To do a total housecleaning before six months is out would smack of panic. Right now, the sharks are beginning to circle. Including, I should add, his allies of convenience, the Clintons. Hillary is keeping her nose to the grindstone, but if he conducted a total White House purge while she was dutifully plugging away at State, doing her job, the contrast (as well as the Buyer’s Remorse) among Democrats would begin to make itself felt in many ways.

Within six to nine months this banking crisis becomes Obama’s Baby. Right now, Obama is in reasonably good shape because the public still holds Bush responsible for it. However, there is the thought that Obama is trying to lard up too much stuff (such as National Health Care) at one time to front load his agenda.

This will, inevitably, overload and short circuit the political system during the upcoming budget fight. Had Obama focused tightly on the banking crisis and held off on health care, he could have used his victory on banking as momentum for health care. Now, he’s overreached, and nobody who is serious believes his budget projections. Judd Gregg ruthlessly dispatched Tim Geithner and left him bleeding on the side of the road at hearings yesterday. Wasn’t pretty.

Bad staffwork all around, and it’s beginning to show. Great Campaigns do not necessarily make Great Administrations. Ask Jimmy Carter.

  13. section9 said on March 13th, 2009 at 7:38 am

One of the reasons that a lot of professional Democrats were uneasy about the Al Franken campaign was this: they didn’t want Big Hollywood actually thinking that it was smart enough to actually participate in the political process. In a normal political cycle where both parties were fairly evenly matched, a candidate like Franken would have been toxic in most environments. However, in 2006-2008, the environment was extremely bad for Republicans, and someone like Franken could compete against Norm Coleman in a good government state like Minnesota. The fact that Franken may be seated opens the door for all sorts of people in Hollywood to live out their political fantasies. Professional Democrats don’t like this. They do like Hollywood’s money, they just want the Hollywood people to stay in Hollywood.

Brad Pitt could end up being embarrassing, especially if he’s an insult to fine, upstanding Empty Suits. I mean, have you actually tried to probe the depth of Matt Damon’s Collected Works?

This is the kind of thing that panics professional pols.” The Marching Morons.” It’s not just Science Fiction Anymore!

  14. Keane said on March 13th, 2009 at 11:56 am

It would be an utter travesty if Brad Pitt got elected to govt. He’s already built a multi-million dollar “acting” career purely on the basis of his looks, now he wants office for being so pretty too? This man is a joke, he seems nice enough but he’s about as deep as a baby’s bathwater. He’s not intelligent and he’s not eductaed. Having your heart in the right place and having pots of cash at your disposal to throw at charity projects does not equal the ability to govern a country. I would say the electorate would laugh him out of running but when you factor into the equation the re-election of Bush (less eloquent and quite possibly intelligent than Pitt) and the ridiculous Hollywood-esque way in which America seems to choose its leaders and you have a recipe for Brangie (with pitt bull and strippers) in the White House if you ask me. And yes I could totally see her doing a “Hillary”. That woman wants world domination, she wants nothing less than to be “Queen of the World”, “Queen of HW” just does not cut it. And this is why people hate her. She is alll about what she is and not at all about just being a nice, good person. She’s all about status, which makes her utterly shallow and egocentric. God, the more I think about her the more I can’t bear her, no wonder she has very few friends!

  16. section9 said on March 13th, 2009 at 1:35 pm

    Bear something in mind.

A couple of things in Bush’s defense, which is an unpopular thing to say here on this board, but the Bush is Stupid mythos must be dealt with from the getgo.

Bush was trained and became a proficient fighter pilot on the F-102 Delta Dart platform. This was back in the days before onboard computers, when pilots had to “fly by wire” and “navigate” by charts and roads. He is not stupid. He made hideously bad mistakes, but history is filled with smart people who do stupid things: look at the Kennedys and the assassination of Ngo Dinh Diem and Madame Nhu in 1963-galactic stupidy on a grand scale. Brad Pitt, however, has pretensions to higher office and unless he has skill sets that we don’t know about, some smart California Democrat should sit him down and talk him out of it before someone like Tom McClintock has to embarrass him in a televised debate. There are plenty of talented California Democrats moving up the food chain without Pitt and Jolie getting in the way and making a mess.

Don’t undersell Hillary. She has plenty of friends. She basically tied Barack in the primaries last year-people forget that. She’ll do her duty right now as Secretary of State while biding her time. She has deep, hardwired connections with Gay Hollywood, which hasn’t forgotten that Hillary is much more sympathetic to the gay community than is Barack. This will make itself felt in future should Barack stumble.

  17. Liz E. said on March 13th, 2009 at 2:20 pm

Duh? You needed a “source close to his administration” to come up with this? Come on. It’s not very believable anyway. I was and am a Hillary gal but the Obama administration is just underway. There have certainly been missteps but this is way too soon to be in a panic. In any event, that’s not how either Obama or his people behave. While arrogance and confidence are only a hair apart and Obama and his people are full of both, both traits tend to shield you from reality and, hence, panic.

  18. Keane said on March 13th, 2009 at 2:23 pm

    @ Section 9

I think there are different types of intelligence. My brother for example is incredibly and naturally (he taught himself from a very early age) intelligent with anything technical: electronics, mechanics, computers, whatever, he understands it all. He now has a very good job with Toshiba, but basically could do anything which involves technology, at one point he was setting up a radio station and doing all the techinical side himself, another time he considered training to be a pilot. Anything technical is a cinch for him. However when it comes to academic work and things lke understanding world politics, he’s pretty hopeless. He struggled at school and with the academic aspect of his degree and if you ask him about politics he honestly hasn’t got a clue. So while I’m not knocking the fact that Bush can do what you say he can, I don’t think it necessarily equates to making him a good world leader.

One of his main issues was that he saw and talked about the world in terms of binary opposites: good guys v bad guys; East v West; us v terrorists etc. The reality of course is that the world is far more complex than that and America’s total failure to acknowledge the reasons why it is hated by many countries around the world means that attacks on the west will continue for a good while yet. Declaring a “war on terror” was probably one of the most stupid ideas in the history of ideas as well. The whole point of terror is that it can’t be fought (or it is very difficult to) because it is conducted using subterfuge. The enemy ain’t coming out and saying “hi, we hate you, fancy a spot of fisticuffs?”, but Bush unfortunately seemed to think they were, and that he could just openly declare war on them. And, considering he had plenty of examples from history to refer to (how about Northern Ireland for instance) as well as examples of how matters were improved/resolved, his “war on terror” was not the most clever of strategies. (And don’t get me started about what he thought he was doing in Iraq: conquer and then what Dubya? Er, well nothing actually planned, but we’ll see how it goes. And 100,000 dead later, here we still are!)

Bush’s other failings were allowing other people to make a lot of major decisions for him (the evil Dick Cheney for example, sorry if you’re a fan!), presumably because he lacked courage in his convictions or maybe just convictions! And if we’re getting down to it, he just didn’t put the hours in! Too much time spent on the green, not enough hours in the White in my view! If there’s one thing he should’ve known before he took that job was that world leaders do not get much sleep (ask Gordon Brown or Maggie Thatcher – ok, admittedly, not the best example!). He should have been doing 4 hours in bed, 20 on the job, and none on the green by God!

Anyway, I digress, but as for Hillary, I am certainly not one to undersell her. If there was any justice in the world she would be President right now in my view. She was by far the most experienced, skilled and intelligent candidate. But all those fancy speeches and superstar rallies won it for Barack. I wonder if the U.S. might live to regret that decision one day?

  20. Kate said on March 13th, 2009 at 3:32 pm

LOL okay we can all calm down, Brad Pitt is not running for a office, nor has he ever wanted too, he has said that himself, but JOLIE now, she puts this shit out to show solidarity between them so no one will believe she had sex with a pitt bull, and a pole dancing hooker pissed and did the doo all over each other. It is just about deflection, like the pegnancy story. That is all. Worked pretty well though didn’t it. I bet everyone that saw pics of him in Washington D.C. thought he might. He was there to get a pat on the back for his mIR project and ask for support and Jolie the same for her project in Africa, just like Matt Damon and George Clooney the weeks before. Can’t be outdone by the Rat Pack boys, how would that look. I have to agree with Ted on this, I think Brad wishes he could just run as fast as he could back into the arms of his buds and get on with his life, party on, do his charities, and get rid of the baggage on his back, except of course what he would like to leave at mamas.

Kate – re: what you were saying about Brad Pitt, I have 2 words for the man: birth control. Would it ever have occurred to him to use it??? Especially considering the wax he was dipping his wick into, so to speak! I honestly feel like I’m watching an episode of Jeremy Kyle when I hear about those 2. (Only the Brits here will get that reference though!). Also re: your theories of deflection, yeah I defo agree, but tell me one thing. While I have no doubt Brange are aware of what’s being said on this site, do you really think many other people are? Its not like the story has been picked up anywhere else…

  23. Kate said on March 13th, 2009 at 4:53 pm

I would be my life that every single gossip blogger and journalist has read here, including FOX and CNN lol
They are not going to report anything incase it turns out to not be true. As far as the nasty stuff, they would not report that anyway. They make money off of Brange and want to keep making money. Think about it, when they split that will be a huge huge story, and everyone will clamor to get the interviews. Will anyone get it if they have been banging away at them prior to the split. NO. Jolie will use Ann Curry.
Pitt will probably use Diane Sawyer like he always does. People will stay in her camp, and he will keep Rolling Stones. He hates the paps, she loves them and only pretends to hate them. Brad is more private regardless of what anyone says. He has been snookered into this mess. jmo Now he has to play the game. He may like his image out there, but not like this, and I don’t really believe he wants to live caged in this way. He may have hit a dead end before, but life was calmer and easier, not he has hit a avalanche.

Well it is a matter of perspective, isn’t it? At this point it would not surprise if they discussed Mr p
Pitts future down the line behind those closed doors considering Brad and his “energy” focus. You think he wasted the tax layers time JUST to pat him on the back , talk about MIR? People are walking around D.C. scratching their heads on this one. GC well I understand but not Brad Pitt. So while agree he is not going to run for office that does not he is not networking for something else, LOL maybe Obama asked him who he thought he should fire first. There. But to answer your question pretty much No, it you look at the threads that draw the most attention it has one of the Trio in it somewhere. Why do people go all over the internet and ask that very question, answer is obvious after all these years. Even he gets it lmao.

You sit on your high horse and look down your nose at everyone posting here and deride what ever anyone says or thinks, meanwhile contributing nothing to any discusion. That’s your schtick. If you want to get invovled with the discussion please do so, but if all you’re got to say is my how fucking sad and deluded and obsessed you poor folks all are, well we heard you the first time, so either think of a new insult to project at us or kindly bugger off. What people discuss and where they do it is up to them and not you, if you don’t like it why don’t you fuck off and find a gossip blog that you do like? That’s all I’m saying.

  36. OhFuckingPLEASE said on March 15th, 2009 at 12:25 pm

I come here in the hopes of finding some other gossip besides the stupid Brangelina Triangle, yet no matter what the thread is about, you and Kate have to drag them into it. I just don’t get what they have to do with everything, and you are obsessed, sorry for pointing it out to you. I will try and refrain from making any more comments- ok? But please, try and find something else to talk about sometimes. You seem like an intelligent person Keane, and I know you from other sites (we are actually friends on another site, where I use my usual name), I like reading your posts on other sites- here, you just seem so focused on Angie and Brad, and it seems really unhealthy and strange to me.

  37. Keane said on March 15th, 2009 at 1:04 pm

OFP – the reason Pitt and Jolie were brought into a discussion about Obama was because Pitt has been fucking showboating around the White House like he’s a big political player and Jolie has been quoted as supposedly saying she wants Brad to be a politcian and thinks he would be great at it! Posters like Section 9 have commented on Jolie’s intention to go into politiics for quite some time so considering what’s been in the press lately its no great shock that people would discuss them in relation to Obama. The utter presumption and sense of entitlement of Brange gets to me no end. Not only do they think they rule HW, they think they invented the term humanitarian and now they want to get into politics? They have got to this level on the basis of one characteristic and one characteristic alone: their looks. Neither of them are great actors, anyone can donate to charity when they can afford to spend 60 million dollars on one of several houses around the world, and neither of them have the education or years of experience it requires to be an effective politician. Through their expert media manipulation and famewhoring they have overshadowed every other more talented actor and more dedicated, hard-working humanitarian around the world, and now they think they can just stroll into the White House and start dictating terms too? You see why this makes me angry? I for one do not want a pretty boy and an insane, selfish, manipulative bitch occupying prime positions of power in the world do you? They do enough damage in tbeir own family. And while you or anyone else can think I’m obsessed with them if you like, the truth is no other couple have behaved so badly and yet lorded themselves over the rest of the world like a pair of fucking gods. Most other celebs in comparison have a modicum of humility or at least stick to doing what they’re famous for, like acting for example. I see no reason why a woman as self-interested and ruthless as Jolie should be so lauded in the media, and I do not want her to start having a say in world politics. By the same token I don’t want somoene as dumb and spoilt as Brad Pitt being involved either. That’s all I’m saying. And if you read the thread you’ll see that I’m actually talking abotu George Bush for most of it, not Brange! If you don’t want to read about Brange then just ignore them and at least contribute to a discussion about something else rather than just looking down at your nose at everyone.

  38. Kate said on March 15th, 2009 at 5:25 pm

My first inclination was to thank you for explaining that, but in truth it really irritates the hell of me that you have you. Anyone that has been following these conversations would have known how Brangelina connected into this Obama convesation. Now if Brange/Bunge .showed up with ANS I could understand the whining, but this is just that, whining. OFP,like every other person that pretends they do not care to talk about them, , whines. Funny thing is , when there is new information or a new story posted by SR or Ian on them, here they all come and stay for a good 600 posts. There is a reason they are discussed endlessly, and it is for all te the reasons you stated, and in 2009 it has zero to do with Jennifer Aniston. Hey Keane, hope you are having a nice weekend.

  39. Keane said on March 15th, 2009 at 5:55 pm

Hey Kate, I am thank you, hope you are too. Don’t worry I get accused about being obsessed with Brange all the time which I always find ridiculous because how could anyone, on the strength of some posts on the internet, know how many other things I am doing or thinking about at the same time? Its just an assumption people make, its getting to be like water off a duck’s back now! But really, with regard to HW celebs, they are the only people that elicit much interest from me nowadays, just because its obvious they aren’t who they say they are and they seem to have ambitions to rule the wolrld! No other celeb really comes close to them in terms of levels of duplicity and pretension! It has to stop, who do these people think they are? Self-appointed King and Queen of America it seems! And Brad looks absolutely ridiculous lately, a middle-aged man who dresses like a member of a boy band who thinks he has a right to be heard in the White House! Pretentious, entitled, self-aggrandising idiot! Grrrr, I just can’t stand them! Anyway, that was also hilarious wasn’t it the post from “ElizabethRX” telling us this is an acadmeic study on gossip conducted by professors of a creative writing class!!!! What is she going to come up with next?! If she’s trying to make herself sound like a legitimate poster on a gossip blog she really blew it with that one! Why would anyone say something as ludicrous as that. If I ever hear anyone give the “Angelina is actually really intelligent” argument again I think I’m going to split my sides laughing!

  40. Kate said on March 16th, 2009 at 12:34 am

You made a good point earlier about laughing this all off if it were not true. Do you remember this:

Now this was over some very innocent pictures of Brad and his parents and Jolie out in the back yard that the paps got some shots of that showed up on the internet/ They did an little insert to show how much it resembled one of the staged shots from 2004 in the W Magazine, kind of funny. So he has his lawyer contact not only all the media outlets that took them but anyone he thinks might buy them, but the Smoking Gun, lol, they were like WTF? Funny part was it said they could not publish the letter and they did. ha ha. YET not one move at all for a cease and desist on Angelina fucking a Pitt Bull, peeing and shitting and smearing it around with her naked Bunny girl (is that what they do with it?) while the kid is sick, the suicide , hiring the stripper together, him getting jealous , him going out and getting his own male stud stripper to get himself plugged, nope, nada, nuthing. Now this information may not be reported in the news, but it is all over the internet, and it is being talked about all over LA. lmao. But no cease and desist. Since almost all of the stuff was about Angie babe, and there was really nothing YET bad written about Brad, at least not clearly and in detail, do you think it is possible he is the leak? There were only 2 people in that room with the dog, him and her. The other comment was, “he never got over it”

  41. Keane said on March 16th, 2009 at 8:47 am
