I hope you’re aware, Ian, that to give nothing but rumors, Ted BI re-hash, hearsay and unnamed sources as your Toothy “exclusive” will certainly doom you to the Jonathan Jaxson heep. Without anything substitive to give the fans so worn and weary from over 2 years of Reeke uber bearding, you will be dismissed as yesterday’s news, ridiculed and become the punchline to a myriad of jokes across gossip and fan blogs alike.
I know whereof I speak here.
To impress the Toothy Tile/Grey Goose fans, you must give us something that without a doubt proves what Ted has been hinting at since 2005. Names, places, a timeline that makes sense. Even better, pics. Anything less, and good-bye increased hits.
ReplyCan someone, anyone, please tell me what is so damn important about Jake G? The guy has hardly got a impressive resume. He has done a few good movies. Brokeback is just about his only real claim to fame. The rest are all so-so,if that. He is not even all that ..walking down the street, average looking guy. SO, what is it about this guy that makes this so important. Why is this more important than outing someone like , is it because he dared to play gay? This actor is not big stuff, not a George Clooney, not a Leo, not Will Smith, or Tom Cruise, or a Bruce Willis, or a Russell Crowe, a Matt Damon, a Ben Affleck, he is a new kid on the block who has had one big hit. Why all the hype? Why do people care if he is outed or not? Is it Reese? if this happened before Reese would it be as big a story? I really do not get this, most people I know feel the same way I do, they just laugh, and say yeah yeah, this is not George so who cares. Not trying to be rude, I just do not get the facisnation with this boy. It is about as exciting as Clay coming out.
ReplyJake lost a lot of fans because he’s bearding with Reese, no one likes her. Jake has a lot of Brokeback Mountain fans and a lot of gay fans who think he’s something special.
ReplyKate, Toothy Tile is perhaps bigger than Jake, or what made him interesting and different. The blind item has 4 years, a history and huge fans who follow every detail of it. There are sites dedicated to this. I agree that to make waves on the mainstream, impress the fans, gain their trust and keep their loyalty, Ian has to come up with evidence and something substantial.

This is such a tired argument. It’s nothing to do with “playing gay”. If you know anything about the actor he made comments years ago and then backpeddled furiously later, pretty much denying he’d said it and his press for BBM was some of the most panic-stricken I’ve ever seen for years. Completely ridiculous and unhelpful, which probably made things worse for him. I am sorry he’s ended up in this situation but he really only has himself to blame in terms of his comments. If he’d have been low-key and more diplomatic in his choice of words or just said nothing, none of this would be happening to him imo. I’m sorry it’s gotten this bad for him but it’s probably been building for a long time unfort.

ReplyAs for me, I can’t figure out why so many people are addicted to that ludicrous ‘outing’ game, whoever it’s about. And incidentally, Kate, do you really think all those stars you named (Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Russell Crowe, etc.) are actually gay? Oh man, this would be outright crazy! I’m from continental Europe and we’d soon become a laughing stock here if we tried to start rumours that, say, Antonio Banderas, Sergi Lopez, Gerard Depardieu or Vincent Cassel are closeted gays. In fact, we know exactly who is and who isn’t gay, because if they are, they don’t hide it. It just doesn’t matter to the public. They are actors, for Christ’s sake!

ReplyLoved the indie movie Ian, you were pretty funny and ballsy, got to say. That publicist, was she for real? I mean really, HOW did you keep a straight face 90 percent of the time?
Now that just was not fair, you did not even get to go to your own premier. bummer. so in the world of these hollywierdos, and I say that with all sincerity because were they ever, how do you know you is really who they are and who they are not/ What a bunch of self pretentious people.
In the game of the outing, and gossip, I am curious about this. I do read Ted, and yesterday he did have some things about Tooth with people making other guesses, and your outing Ted has been plastered all over The Awful Truth, so why are people still guessing, and why is Ted still encouraging them? Between the two of you , you each seem to see things different.
On this whole Brangelina thing for instance, Ted has been saying for ions that Pitt is so into her,my pals and I don’t see that, seems she is the one all over him if anything, and she is all into him. Teds says that Pitt says the sex with Angelina is the best he has ever had, that he has only eyes for her, and has no idea at all what she is up to (except the drugs) and that when she dumps him he will be devastated. Now he insists she will dump him.
You though seem to have the more realistic insight, because from a guys point of view it looks to us like he is into himself and she is just always adoring him, stroking him, while he just sort moves along doing his thing. You say open relationship, she does her thing he does his, but now you got to admit, if it is by Teds standards Pitt would not be able to handle that.The guy is a pussy. Fight Club was hot, but still, he does not appear to be in control to me. Of course , your Shiela did imply Angelina was cheating, or was that you?
So are you and Ted fighting with each other now that you spilled the beans on Jakey? Ted has sort of backed down from the bi Brad and now it is the “questionalble” hetero, and he seems to be challenging your stance on Jake, and he has not from that I have seen mentioned you.
Is there some kind of professional courtesy where you have to get permission to do this sort of thing, I know you said you are friends from way back, but his silence is deafening and just makes some of us wonder what in the heck is going on.
You can’t both be right, not on Toothy and not on Brangelina. Someone has to be wrong.What ya say Ian?
