IUC Exclusive: Close Friend of Gold-Digger Moreira Insisted She Was Plotting To Kill Guy Laliberte cause of Affair With Supermodel Naomi Campbell

A close Brazilian friend of gold-digger Rizia Moreira tried to convince me in 2004 that the former model, ex lover and mother of three children of Cirque du Soleil billionaire Guy Laliberte, was plotting to kill him.  The reason – she was livid about reports that Laliberte was engaged to supermodel Naomi Campbell.  She claimed Moreira devised a plan to walk off with all of Laliberte’s cash and was positioning herself to become the new President of Cirque du Soleil.  It was all, the friend said, a way for Moreira to seek revenge.  Needless to say, I was concerned.  Shortly after, I confronted Moreira, whom I was close friends with at the time.  “Don’t listen to her,” Moreira told me.  “She’s always high on coke.  She’s a big manipulator.”  

I gave Moreira the benefit of the doubt cause the Brazilian friend’s reputation in Montreal was garbage.  Her credibility was zero.  So initially, I did not take it too seriously.  She was known to be an undesirable, falling out with many people in the city and allegedly being unfaithful to her husband for years.  She had been seeing a psychiatrist from almost the time she arrived in Montreal a few years back.  I pressed Moreira for more but she said if I ask her anything about it again “our friendship would be over”.  She did, however, mention Campbell several times to me during the next few weeks, confirming Laliberte was engaged to Campbell and suggesting Campbell was addicted to drugs and was using Laliberte solely for his connections and money.  It all sounded like she knew the drill all too well.  DEVELOPING…
