IUC Exclusive: Cirque Du Soleil Billionaire Guy Laliberte took care of Gold-Digging ex lover’s Family For Years Despite Being Constantly Harassed

In the nastiest celeb cash battle split since Paul McCartney and Heather Mills, IUC has learned Cirque Du Soleil billionaire Guy Laliberte rose above his ex lover’s dirty tactics and made sure he took care of her immediate family for years.  Aside from paying all the expenses for the couple’s three kids and doling out some 36k/month to the gold-digging Brazilian ex model Rizia Moreira, Laliberte took care of Moreira’s mother, employed her brother in a senior position at Cirque du Soleil and paid for numerous expenses to other members of Moreira’s family – all while constantly being harassed by his Brazilian ex lover. 

In a Quebec Court case, Moreira is seeking $50 million from Laliberte.   Whereas common-law partners in most of Canada have the same rights as married couples, Quebec law is different,  refusing division of assets rights for such men and women after they separate.

“Rizia tried to make Guy’s life miserable for years, doing very unethical things all while Guy acted within the common laws of Quebec which stipulate common law marriage does not in any way mean division of assets,” a close friend of the ex couple told IUC.  “Guy is one of the most ethical, down to earth people you could ever meet.  I feel sorry for him cause I know how much crap he’s had to deal with in this case.  He’s done nothing but act extremely generous and take care not only of Rizia and the three kids but also everyone in her immediate family.”

Laliberte donates Millions to charitable causes around the world

The friend added he was aware Moreira stalked Laliberte regularly, trying to disrupt his life.  “She would show up at his home, enter and sniff around without a search warrant or any legal right to do so,” the friend said.  “He could have had her arrested immediately but he’d never do that to the mother of his three children.  And now in turn, it’s incredible to see how she is resorting to any methods she can to ruin him.  It’s really not right.  Anyone with a brain or an inch of compassion would be grateful with what she’s getting, which is more than any hard working person in Quebec earns in a lifetime.  She’s never worked a day in her life.”

Laliberte’s philanthropy far extends the cash he’s given to Moreira’s entourage, especially his pledge to eliminate poverty by giving everybody access to water. Personally, I’d rather see $100 million (the amount he committed to his ONE DROP foundation) go to help people who really need it in the Third World than to a gold-digger who I have known for years and am skeptical about whether she deserves more than he is offering. From my dealings with him, Guy is a stand up guy who will always make sure his children are taken well care of.
