NOTE: IF YOU LIVE IN QUEBEC, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO READ THE FOLLOWING POST:
Canada’s most respected constitutional lawyer, Julius Grey, refused gold-digger Rizia Moreira’s case against Billionaire Cirque du Soleil owner Guy Laliberte a few years back because he didn’t think she had a leg to stand on.  In fact, it was yours truly who arranged the meeting at Grey’s downtown Montreal office when I was friends with the Brazilian ex model.  Grey has been my lawyer for over 20 years.

Moreira’s meeting with Grey, senior partner at the heavyweight firm Grey, Casgrain,  lasted almost two hours.  After the meeting Grey seemed far from impressed with Moreira and her case.  He could have taken a million dollar retainer from her and spent the next five years fighting a losing battle, but Grey has too much integrity for that. Rizia was furious and vowed to find another lawyer who would do her bidding.

Today, a friend of Moreira’s contacted IUC telling me how upset she is that I have defied the Quebec publicity ban.  The friend warned me Moreira intends to do everything to make my life miserable.  I responded by telling her to tell Moreira  I have far from released my heaviest artillery, which I intend to do in the coming days right here.

Another friend contacted me last night claiming Moreira has had a history of serious psychological problems and has seen several shrinks in Quebec.  “She’s highly unstable,” the friend said.  “One day she pretends to be a caring mother the next day she’s off to Ibiza for two months, leaving the kids on Guy’s doorstep.  She ploughs through the money (36k) Guy gives her each month like there’s no tomorrow.  When the kids need something she asks Guy to pay for it, even though he’s given her such a large amount of cash for the month.”

I think that’s a little unfair because I believe Rizia is a good mother from what I have observed. Princess Diana and Angelina Jolie were both notorious for leaving their kids with nannies for weeks at a time while they gallivant around the world, but nobody ever implied they were bad mothers.  Nevertheless, I believe that her crusade is motivated more by greed than concern for her children’s welfare.  DEVELOPING

**important note**   I have just been advised by my lawyers that anybody in Quebec is
allowed to read these posts even though they violate a publication ban. It is only me who can get in trouble, not my readers.

I hope she gets what she deserves in the end. This type of greed disgusts me. Felicitations Ian on another great series!

Three kids, why didnt he just marry her with a prenup in place? Do those not hold up in Canada? Seems like he could have avoided all this if he did.

I must be missing something, why does this have to remain such a mystery? How can one country dictate to what someone in another country can write about? That makes no sense to me. Unless you are a witness in the case and are under a gag order?

My mother was brought up by a “governess”. Brits love their “public” schools and send their kids away as soon as they can. It’s tradition. With a nanny, at least mom comes home eventually. It’s nothing new. As for Canada, it likes it hush hush and hates other nations from looking at its dirty laundry. I myself had once been told by a Canadian music biz exec NOT to chat on web forums about FACTOR and other cultural grant systems about export artists counting on for their music careers on “cultural welfare” – a double edged loony. Canadian identity crisis stuff in very deep places in particular within the government and their high-falutin friends who get their aboriginal or April whine’s to toot Canada, but don’t give a dime to the desperate native they pass by every day begging for spare change at the corner of Peel and Rene-Levesque. Publiscation ban: A judge – a lawyer -That means lawyers pacify potential clients – very rich Liberte-arians. Would you want to burn your beau-Bridges?
