The New Heather Mills
NOTE: IF YOU LIVE IN QUEBEC, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO READ THE FOLLOWING POST:
In the last three months, I’ve been threatened by the Church of Scientology, Britney Spears, Michael Jackson and John Travolta, among others, convinced that a small-time blogger would be intimidated by their high-priced lawyers. I didn’t back down then and I have no intention of backing down now. I’ll blog from a prison cell if I have to, but I have decided to reveal the name of the former model who is involved in a notorious constitutional case currently winding its way through the Quebec courts against billionaire Cirque de Soleil founder Guy Lalberte.
The name of the former Brazilian model — Quebec’s version of Heather Mills -— seeking $50 million from Laliberte is his former common-law wife and mother to three of his children, Rizia Moreira, the model he met on a Rio de Janeiro beach when she was only 17.
I have known Rizia well for several years. In fact, she worked with me on an annual yoga retreat I founded and ran in Quebec’s Laurentian Mountains several years ago. She used to regale me with anecdotes about her relationship with Laliberte, many of them quite bizarre and, ironically, circus-like. Among the strangest stories she told me was the fact that she would insist on having an Asian woman friend named Kiwi sleep in the same bedroom as her and Guy. They had a bunk-like contraption rigged up above their head and the woman would sleep above them. Even stranger, I met the woman at one of the retreats and noticed that she had an Adam’s Apple. Rizia confirmed that “she” was indeed a man. Uncharacteristically, I was afraid to delve any deeper.
Ever since I knew her, she has been obsessed with figuring out how to wring more from Laliberte than she is entitled to under Quebec law. After awhile, I realized to my consternation why she was so friendly to me. My great uncle, Morris Fish, just happens to be a judge on the Supreme Court of Canada. Rizia was constantly asking me to convince my uncle to take up her case. When I finally told her in no uncertain terms that I would not use my uncle like that, she dropped me as a friend like a hot potato and we’ve barely spoken since.
And, while I sympathize with the cause she is espousing, the rights of common-law spouses, I am troubled by the implication that Laliberte has treated her unfairly or that, by extension, the kids are getting a raw deal. Apparently, the first thing Rizia plans on buying with her $50 million settlement if she wins is a helicopter. Enough said.

Very brave, Ian. You’ve got balls!
ReplyAs she is so strange… are you sure those anecdoctes were true???? maybe she was trying to impress.
ReplyVery brave to do that ! I think it is so stupid, all that story.
Très brave de t’être affirmé comme ça ! Je trouve cette histoire complètement idiote et je suis content que quelqu’un se soit soulevé.
Merci
ReplyShe’s after her ex for all the money she can get, but I suspect her attorney (Goldwater) of going for the gold also. The courts in Québec can not go against the laws and they are not there to make new ones. So this is a fishing expedition and the lawyers are making all the money as usual.

Completely wrong, the courts in Quebec are corrupt as Stephen HARPER and Jean CHAREST. I’m a victim of a fraud commited by Robert BOULERICE, a Quebec civil servant at the Quebec CSST, he falsified my medical diagnosis (this is confirm by my doctor on Radio-Canada a while ago) and this criminal act made me disable for life. Guess what, an ass hole judge from Quebec superior court of justice put me in jail because I don’t accept torture and their criminal fraud. Yes TORTURE, I had two ruptured disks and this is a medical emergency (for a normal doctor) but with this falsification I wass forced to go back to work lifting weights up to 125 pounds for a period of ten weeks and this created heavy and severe dammages to my spine cord, I”m now declare disable for life.
So don’t tell me that a judge have to respect the law, here in CANADA, some judges are corrupts as Jean CRETIEN, Brian MULRONEY and Stephen HARPER or Bernard MADOFF !
I don’t beleve in justice, I don’t beleve in democraty, I beleve that my country is corrupt from one ocean to the other.
