IUC Exclusive: Paul McCartney says Barenaked Ladies sing Much better than Fab Four; Would Consider Joining Them
Paul McCartney was recently asked by a London
session musician which bands’ talents he likes in today’s musicland. “A lot of the bands today are much more technical than we were,” Macca said. “But the Barenaked Ladies have to be my favorite. Their harmonies are right on. They could outsing us any day of the week. I don’t think John and myself ever had the sort of range they do.” McCartney added he wouldn’t mind cutting an album with the band. Maybe BNL’s next song with Paul will be titled “If I had a Billion Dollars” – just like Sir Paul had before gave a good chunk away to Heather Mills.

He still has a billion dollars. He was said to be worth around 800 million pounds and only(!) gave her about £25 million. Some hookers have all the luck hey?
ReplyI don’t care where, I don’t care when, if this happens I will be there.
ReplyAs of today Feb 25th, 2009, the BNL have an opening in the band, Steven Page has announced his departure from the band.
ReplyThis must be a joke or a misquote or something, because I don’t believe it. Paul could sing anything, even goddamn opera if he wanted to. He had tremendous range when he was younger. John too.
ReplyHeck yes! I love both Barenaked Ladies and Paul McCartney SOOOO much…a cross-over would be absolutely fantastic.
