IUC Exclusive (Part I of 3): Shania Twain catches producer hubby having an affair with couple’s personal secretary
For what it helps to explain, it’s important to explain some sort of partial suffocation during the final months of Shania Twain’s marriage to Robert John Mutt Lange. Shania may have tried too vigorously to save her turbulent marriage until she caught Mutt underneath the sheets with his secretary Marie Ann Thiebaud. Shania, in shock, stepped outside in a panic for fresh air. Time passed, enough for her to realize she had entered the spoke of murder – her 14-year marriage was over.
Earlier evidence on the shaping of Lange’s character can be found in the divorce papers of his first marriage to singer Stevie Vann, who accused Lange of infidelity and mental abuse.
“Growing up Shania was no angel herself,” said a friend who grew up with Shania in Timmons, Ontario. “Before she lived with her boyfriends family she slept around with lots of guys, just like any other hot, young girl there cause there’s not much else to do. It’s a small town. When Mutt came into her life red flags went up. He seemed too mysterious, too quiet. Something felt wrong. Shania is so outgoing, loves to party and have a good time. At her wedding Mutt insisted they drink non alcoholic champagne. That’s not the style of the Shania I knew growing up. If it was up to her they would have been sipping Black Label and jagermeister.”
Another close friend of the couple told IUC after Shania left Mutt the singer sunk into a deep emotional abyss. “I had never seen her look so sad,” the friend said. “Shania was heartbroken. She looked as though she had been run over by a train. I wondered if she would ever get over it. It was so sad.”

Why do good girls (or presently good girls who have a not so pleasant bad girl past) always go for the bad boys aka the boys who have a history of abuse and infidelity. Is there some chemical reaction that goes off in our brains leaving us with the subliminal message of “find bad guy who will treat you badly” or does is there an invisible tattoo across our foreheads for all these scum-of-the-earth losers that says “pick me!!!” Well, at least Miss Shania got out in time to find a new frog to kiss. Go Shania, GO!
ReplyIt seems ironic that now Shania Twain has become her own worst fan; not being able to stand her prior albums, with love songs like, “you’re still the one”, I Ain’t No Quitter,” and “Forever and for Always”.
ReplyHard to believe that a “Mutt” could find ANYONE to have sex with! I guess that’s the thing with dogs, they’d get with anything!!!
And ladies, if he cheated on Shania, then the rest of us are screwed!!!! (Maybe literally, who knows). My advice: Shania needs to look to her older releases for comfort. “Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under” and “I’m Outta Here”.
This does not come as some great surprise since Mutt Lange actually broke his media silence for the first time in 20 years only to inform us that his marriage ending is just “this unfortunate thing that happened”. It was fairly evident that this was an attempt at damage control. Shania is far better off in the long run by starting over and hoping to meet decent people the next time around. A spouse who cheats is bad enough……a spouse who cheats with his wife’s friend is dispicable. As for the friend I think gold-digging tramp would fit the bill………friend is differently not the word to discribe a women who would behave in such a manner
ReplyI’ve heard plenty of stories regarding Shania’s sexual past, and they all say that she did sleep around quite a bit before she married Mutt. And I’m not knocking her for it, because as pointed out above, she was outgoing and loved to have a good time. She was real. But after marrying Mutt, she seemed like she became an artificial, sterile robot. And an unhappy one at that. Now that she’s single again, I hope the real Eilleen returns soon. She needs to let her hair down, take advantage of her newly single status, and enjoy life again.

ReplyAfter a two month investigation a lot of people are expecting to see pictures of Mutt with the secretary, details of romantic rendevous, other illicit details? The fact is, your not going find these here because there are no pictures to find our illicit details to uncover because there was no affair with the secretary. The real details about the break up of Shania’s marriage are being kept tightly under wraps and apparantly Mr. Halperin has been fed a healthy dose of spin control. There is a story to uncover but this is not it. Mutt has said all that he is going to say publicly and is not about to slander the mother of his son in the press. He will leave the slandering to Jason Owen, his ex wife and their friends at People Magazine.
ReplyActually he did cheat on Shania and, yes, the other woman was their former housekeeper. Shania even credits Marie Ann Thiebaud on the inside sleeve for the UP! album (which she released back in 2002) so before she stole her hubby, they were very good friends. It doesn’t give me any reason to disbelieve the story that People magazine printed and Shania would not have released a public statement to say she needed time to mend her broken heart if she clearly wasn’t in any pain. I just hope she comes out of this, a much stronger person and as for the two people who wronged her, they will get their upcommence sooner or later.
ReplyTruth be known, Mutt is a great guy, he’s the one with the track record and so many people actually like him, unlike shania whose just another pretty face. One has to evalutate both sides of the coin and be subjective in their evaluation of things like this. I heard from a close person of the family that her sister Carrie had spilled the beans at a party while drunk up in huntsville ontario and that Carrie-Ann, who would lick shanias bum clean after the worse bout of diarrhea it seemed secretly depises her older famous sister and actually just pretends to like her for the perks and lifestyle things she gets.
ReplyShe actually statred talking about her son dhillion and how that his hockey coach is living with them and how her husband cheated on her a bunch of times and how she did the same with one of the band members of the opening act while she was on tour with her sister.
She was kinda wasted and acting like she had this unearned sense of importance, but when i look at a picture of her, i can see why she would be so insecure. Kinda troll looking compared to shania imho
