Who’s Billy Bob Thornton?! Was he in the Waltons?! No, I’ve got it, he’s Angelina Jolie’s dad. Thought I had recognised him from somewhere. That’s why he’s famous, right?
He should start watching movies, they will give him an understanding of how to act.
ReplyI’m not surprised that Billy Bob doesn’t watch his own movies. I hear that some countries now use back-to-back screenings of Bandits and Mr. Woodcock as a form of torture.
ReplyHe is obviously in a bittersweet industry. He acts to get paid, but won’t watch them because they weren’t the movie of his choice.
Thorton, I heard Mc.Donald’s is hiring.
ReplyHe does realize that two HUGE contributors of the “torture” part of his comment were Bad Santa and Mr. Woodcock, right? Right?!
ReplyBilly Bob has Nicholas Cage syndrome- someone who became known for starring in great independant films and then went Hollywood, for the money, I guess. Too bad, because they have money but lost respect and are far less interesting as actors. Sling Blade, which Billy Bob wrote directed and starred in was a great film, but look at what he is doing now.
ReplyIt seems a bit like Thornton said one thing, realized what he said, then tried to make up for it by saying he loves acting, almost like if you get caught talking about someone close to you – you quickly try to make up for it by saying something like, “Well, only sometimes!” or “No no, I love you, I was just saying it because the guys were all talking about how their girlfriends are this way and I just wanted to fit in!”
I’ve heard of a lot of actors that purposely don’t watch the movies they’re in, but that’s only because they’re afraid to criticize themselves. As an actor myself, I can see the reasoning here: it’s tough to realize you could have done something different or better after its done.
ReplyIt’s called “hypocritical”.
ReplyIf ya have a moral, ethical, or any form of belief, then ya gotta go all the way with it….if ya talk the talk hahney, than ya gotta walk the walk, otherwise you’re just blowing hot air out of your arse.
The only thing his statement does is relinquish any respect for his word, on anything he claims to “believe” or for that matter not believe – condone…..
’tis a shame :O(
