McCain lost it all by choosing Palin
It’s all over for Mr. McCain and his no brain piece of meat from Alaska, Madame S. Palin. IUC predicts Obama wins by huge majority. Who do you think will win? let us know.

I’m torn. On the one hand I hope to God you’re right and Obama takes the office. On the other, there’s every chance that whoever is in office these next four years is going to catch all the blame for the further economic woes yet to come. A win/lose situation, you might say.

Of course, I’d vote for Satan himself if it kept Palin out of office. That crazy creationist bitch isn’t fit to be Vice President of the Andy Dick fan club, much less the United States.

If Obama indeed becomes President, he MUST have the most productive first term in history if he’s to get a second term. I don’t envy him the task.
The office is well known to age those who hold it. Look for Obama to morph into Morgan Freeman in the next three years or so.

    Brobama vs. McDouche:
The key here is mortality-based thinking. Depending on who gets elected, there’s a damned good chance that a) Obama will be assassinated or b) McCain will drop dead or succumb to Reaganesque dementia under the stress of his job.
So who’s next in line after the chief exec cashes his jacks? Unlike Palin, Biden might actually be smart enough to pour piss out of a boot, if the instructions are printed on the heel.

like to say obama but um…alright i’m sayin it for all the yungins out there still walking door to door telling me we need change. course they’ll never vote. they’ll forget or be too stoned to get up. it was last tuesday? guess ya never know what can happen in life sinatra breath. like i was at this bar the other nite and the white guy said to the black guy, “i aint votin’. i’m democrat but just don’t think he’s qualified.” interesting. in a sexist sort of way. i mean biden v. palin is a no brainer (although vice president really is like a glorified small town mayor sans cheney) but if i really had to predict based upon our friends the closet racists (what happens in the voting booth stays…) and the fact that the republicans can fix anything and make it seem kosher i lean towards the ole man. and the sea.

Smart Republicans understood that Obama was going to win once they realized that he had outthought Madame Hillary’s feckless campaign team. Smart Republicans also understand that our party needs to be out of power right now.

McCain had one chance to be a realistic, governing Administration that could reach across the aisle to Democrats and actually govern: Gay Condi. But as your reporting made clear, McCain took counsel of his fears and went for the Base Pick instead of someone who could clearly help him govern the country. Much as I and other Republicans believe that Palin has vast potential, it’s simply wasn’t a wise choice, not when Condi was available. Instead, McCain listened to the AssClown RNC. Here’s a clue about the quality of people who make up our National Committee: they couldn’t beat Himmler in a contest for Mayor of Tel Aviv.

Obama will win, but not by the landslide that was predicted by liberals earlier in the year. Obama will keep the Kerry States, plus pick off Iowa, Colorado, and perhaps Virginia to push him over 300 EV’s. No great landslide, no Reaganesque mandate. Maybe 51 or 52 percent of the vote, tops. Nixon got 60 percent in his reelect effort in 1972, and 48 states. McCain is beginning a long, hard slog back to a respectable showing from the pit he was in a week ago, but he won’t get any closer than two points. This will look very much like Ford/Carter ‘76 at the close-a tight race with a small but critical mass of voters moving to Obama at the end, always keeping Obama just out of reach.

Lots of liberals point to Palin’s weaknesses. That’s not the point. The whole Palin/Condi story point to the central weakness of the McCain Campaign: McCain himself. Palin was never the issue, simply the Shiny Pony that distracted people from McCain’s shortcoming in judgement at critical moments during the Campaign.

Faced with an opponent who is a classic Passive/Agressive, McCain proceeded to campaign in ways that fell directly into traps laid by Obama’s passive/agressive Campaign. Faced with a choice between a superbly qualified Secretary of State and a Governor who needed another term in office before she should even have been considered for promotion, he went for the inexperienced Governor. Faced with economic meltdown, he dithered between wanting to debate and wanting to stay in Washington. As good a man as McCain was, he failed at critical moments during this campaign in ways that Obama did not.

This is not to say that Obama would or will make a better President, it does reveal that Obama is a better campaigner, and possibly a better politician. Voters actually get this, but they remain suspicious of Obama. They are only wiling to give him a chance, not a mandate.

Can it JUST end? After the mud slinging and allegations and insanity and people threatening to not be friends with opposing party members I am jut ready for it to end! Granted on The View (which I am forced to watch by houseguests – not by choice) it was gleefully revealed that Sarah Palin’s future-son-in-law is dropping out of high school to take care of his wife and unborn child.

He also said that Obama is a good guy but added hastily (lest he be invited out by Sarah Palin to go moose-hunting) that he wants his future mother-in-law to win.

I know I am digressing but the truth is…I NEVER WANT IT TO END! I WANT OBAMA TO WIN BUT I WANT TO HEAR AND SEE SARAH PALIN ALL THE TIME! I CAN SEE THE REALTY SHOW: ‘BIG GOV,’ ‘MADAM P AND ME,’ ‘THE ICEBERG OF THE KLONDIKE,’ ‘THE SARAH PALIN BOOK BANNING HOUR’ AND ‘WHAT’S UP IN WASILIA?’

But yes – seriously – Obama MUST win! He has the skills and as I said before I wonder if McCain really wants Obama to win and purposely chose this Moose-shooting-book-banning-homophobic-rape-kit-charging mess that has been deemed Sarah Palin!

The interesting thing about you guys over there in God’s country is that your politicians have spunk. Over here, our candidates are either unable to communicate in the language of the majority(Dion) or have wee, unsmiling eyes and prefer to keep a low, snakelike profile (Harper). Either way, they don’t make many ripples and we (who voted today, btw) have a lot of trouble telling them apart. You can’t blame Canada for picking the wrong guy, ’cause all the guys are kind of the same. Not so for you. There’s absolutely no way in hell that anybody could mistake Palin for a democrat and accidentally vote for her. There’s nothing wishywashy about her. She believes in the sanctity of human (read: Christian) life, and the rights of little (read: spoonsized/unborn/hypothetical) children. She thinks it’s about time we stop fretting about stuff like needless death and corruption and bring talk about war back to what really matters: America winning. She knows with unabashed and total belief that McCain will, through the miracle of modern medicine, stand up and fight for America. She could teach our right wingers a thing or two about self-incrimination, not to mention a lesson in niche sex appeal.

Oh and I hope Obama wins, because he is hot.

I think Obama would win in a landslide if there’s even the slightest chance that there’s an actual legal election. Since the last two elections were stolen, it’s hard for me to believe that this one won’t also. McCain and the repubs are also playing the race, socialist, muslim card for all it’s worth and the American people are so scared and stupid they believe it. The repubs have manufactured the lies about ACORN and have been suppressing votes all over the country. I’m very concerned that this will be another stolen election. If they don’t steal it, the only reason will be that they want to leave the democrats with NO money since they have completely drained and bled the economy… Plus, they’re inciting all kinds of racial tension. Fear is their only hope. And only fearing fear itself is ours.
