Who do you think won last night’s VP Slugfest? Was the Maverick Palin high – let us know.

What was Palin on last night?
IUC thinks Palin smoked a big doobie before last night’s debate. How many times did she use the word Maverick? Certainly, she goofed on the question of replacing Old Man McCain in case he dies in office. READ HERE

I know that everyone has their own criteria for judging a debate, so if you happened to judge it based on the most awkward winks and forced dumb folksy sayings, then Palin clearly won. However, based on actual content and presidential behavior, Biden most definitely won. Palin “held her own” by repeating canned answers surely drilled into her head Clockwork Orange style in a bunker below John McCain’s ranch, but I think she pushed her folksiness a bit too much when she gave a “shout out” to her brother’s third grade class. Are you serious? You didn’t just win a pie eating contest, Sarah, this is the Vice Presidential debate.

    Dear Sarah,

May I call you Sarah? Or, as you say, can I call you Sarah? Even though we are having an election here in Canada and our candidate’s debate was televised at the same time as the American VP debate, many Canadians chose to watch you. Why? Because we love to be entertained by American television. Reality TV. For some reason, you seem to remind me of some of the guests Steve Wilkos has on his show. They always seem to answer a question with a question. They talk with a backwoods twang and claim to be Christian and when their teenage daughters get pregnant, they point the young couple towards the nearest church with their semi automatic weapons.

Oh, and Sarah, Merriam-Webster defines a maverick as an independent individual who does not go along with a group or party, but your views on guns, gay marriage and war are right in line with many other rednecks.

P.S. We have some bad politicians in Canada too.

Anyone with half a brain who witnessed the VP debate will tell you that it wasn’t a debate. It was a Q & A between two people. One of these people, Joe Biden, answered the questions asked, sounding both incredibly educated and experienced. Sarah Palin danced around her answers as always, at one point specifying that she would not be answering them the way they want to hear. How is this allowed? Her folksy gibberish and obnoxious winks won’t help, people are fed up with her. We are tired of her nonsensical answers and played out, GOP rhetoric. She sounds like Bush when she speaks and that is the last thing this country needs.
