IUC Exclusive: Many Celebs going Bust including Celeb Photographer Annie Leibovitz and The Queen, who wouldn’t mind shooting her financial advisors

The Queen is going bust
Poor Ed McMahon – if only he would have saved more dough instead of squandering it all on booze, viagra and undesirable women young enough to be his great grandaughter he might still have a roof over his head. And now, IUC has learned McMahon is not the only celeb in financial straits. Vanity Fair celeb photographer Annie Leibovitz is almost a million in debt. This overrated photog has been irresponsible with her dough and could face bankruptcy if she does not get her act together quickly. I always thought she was more hype than anything else. I’ve worked with some of the world’s top photographers when I covered the fashion biz who make Leibovitz look like a neophyte.
Another top celeb who has been hit hard where it counts is the Queen. Due to an economy in Britain that has sunk into a financial abyss the Queen has lost more than 200 million pounds the past year according to a top British financial analyst. That is almost half her fortune. And there is no end in sight. He says the Queen is so upset that she’d like to shoot her financial advisors who roped her into bad investments. Guess the worst virtue of the method of fame is one’s shortcomings, especially when one cannot posit such a condition as reform. Only God can save our gracious Queen!

    Can you say schadenfreude?

    Ha ha ha!

Maybe Ed and the Queen can get together and try to figure shit out for the both of them. And Annie can snap pix of their historic confab. Not that the pix, mind–as you say–would amount to all that much. Unless she could manage to get Ed and the Queen in the nude, sort of embracing a la Yoko and John. Now that would certainly revivify ALL their careers!

If only Ed McMahon still had Carnac the Magnificent around to predict his financial future. Though I bet he could make a pretty penny if he started up a service recording answering machine messages for people named Johnny. Fifty bucks for each “Heeeere’s Johnny…’s voicemail!” I want a cut of this Ed.

As for Leibovitz, I’ve never had the displeasure of meeting her, but her financial ruin is probably justice from the fates for taking that picture of Whoopi Goldberg in a bathtub full of milk and showing it to the world. Time for penance for your sins against the eyes of the world Annie.

I thought this was a joke…I thought Annie Lebovitz photographed the Queen in a car with a gun! Haha, funny, but really if the QUEEN is losing money I think that’s really bad. Apparently she has been shopping at Harrod’s…I guess she can’t afford Harvey Nichol’s anymore!!!

Add to the list of famous financial wizards Indy race-car-driver-turned-Dancing-With-The-Stars-champ Helio Castroneves. I just saw him crying as he was getting hauled away in handcuffs. Seems the Brazilian Helio is being charged on 12 counts of tax evasion after allegedly tango-ing away millions of car racing money in offshore accounts in an effort to avoid the IRS.

Castroneves is gonna be dancing the cha-cha with a skinhead named Crazy Joe unless he can prove his innocence. But it makes you wonder – if he is guilty – didn’t Helio learn anything from the original Survivor and its winner-turned-tax-evader Richard Hatch?

I mean – maybe the IRS is slow. Maybe the IRS is stupid. But chances are they get cable. Hell, all the IRS needed to do was turn on ABC or The Speed Network for evidence of Helio’s undeclared income.

Perhaps Her Royal Highness can sign a deal with Weight Watchers to recoup some of her lost fortune?

    It’s been done before….

Celebs going bankrupt is just a sign of the times- excessive earnings X 15 minutes of fame not not make for a lifetime of carefree spending. I’m tired of celebs like Ed McMahon, Screetch from Saved By The Bell and Anna Nicole Smith trying to make us feel sory for them for their own poor money management decisions.
