IUC Exclusive: Looks like it will be Paula Abdul’s last season on Idol
A source at Fox TV has confirmed to IUC that, barring a major change by the powers that be at American Idol, Paul Abdul will get the pink slip after this Idol season. And she’s already been given a big heads up. “They’ve (the producers) told Paula that this will be her last season,” the source said. “And she’s agree to it. The producers at Idol feel it will be best for both parties to call it a day. That’s why they hired a second female judge this year, to get the right experience to replace Paula and shift the show back to three judges next year. Developing…

Replyeh no it wont be her last season. you know why i know that? because paula is not a very good actress. if she had agreed to give up her nr 1 income source, you would have been able to tell. yet she has seemed very happy lately.
and they wouldnt give up on her anyway because she is their nr 1 publicity machine. the person who creates all the pubicity for them. and publicity translates into ratings.
ReplyYou are just making things up. As if Paula and Fox would agree to not renew her contract before Kara has even been accepted by the Idol fans! Paula Abdul = nr 1 show. When Kara was the only female judge on a talent show, it got cancelled after 2 episodes. Do you really expect us to believe Fox would have taken such a huge risk with their nr 1 cash cow American Idol Before they even know if Kara will work out or not as a judge? pleease.
ReplyThe only thing you win for bad reporting like this is a compete understanding for why you write for a unknown web site, rather than a respected media outlet. This story isn’t even close to true. The actual truth is that the new judge, Kara DioGuardi, may not even last the season before getting “voted off.” Paula Abdul is not going anywhere. Get a new source. Or should I say, a real one.

ReplySay it isn’t so, after all these years of stumbling and mumbling through American Idol Paula Abdul is finally giving up her judge’s seat. I haven’t been this sad since I heard they were canceling her reality show “Hey Paula!” Though I’ll look at this glass as half full and hope it opens up an opportunity for a Paula and MC Skat Cat reunion.
Though I really hope Paula is leaving behind notes for the heir to her Idol throne to make sure they fill her spot properly. And by “notes” I mean a list of contacts for buying her various pharmaceuticals. Paula’s unpredictable, nonsensical ramblings are something she must pass on.

And c’mon, they will lost a lots of viewers. Almost 1/4 of AI viewers are Paula fans. We gotta admit that.

I guess FOX is not that numb to replace her. And I know that they respect Paula a lot!
If this is indeed Paula Abdul’s last season on American Idol perhaps the show’s producers will finally release the unseen footage (aka commercial breaks!) of the show. I would pay top dollar to see Paula’s drug, booze or god knows what induced actions after the crew has yelled “cut!”.
Did anyone see the train wreck of a reality show she made? Straight Up, Paula Abdul is crazy. And I wouldn’t want her any other way! I think American Idol is pretty awful but I would miss Paula’s slurs and drools. Perhaps we’ll just have to make do with Seacrest slurring and drooling all over Simon’s hot ass.

Most experts in the field of alcoholism would say without much doubt , that she IS ALCOHOLIC”
However this is not who needs to know, it is Paula who has to come out of her big ugly denial.
She is a classic case of a women with an alcohol problem, it is written all over her face and with all her wierd behaviours.
The list is large and growing because her disease is progressing at an alarming rate.
Paula we all pray that your finally realize the truth about your problems.
