What’s so false about their marriage? I’m sure they’ve entered it with eyes wide open. You make it sound like Joanne just fell off the turnip truck. They’re sophisticated, urbane couple. Even today, if you want to be a top star, not just a bit actor, you hide your gayhood. Haven’t you heard that there are more movie-going heteros than homos? Haven’t you heard of simple economics? Hey come now! He loved his beer & that was a hell of a lotta fun for him & Brandon DeWilde, chasing women while off filming, on the set of (Hud)… both lived women, & ea other when there were no women! He wanted, craved marriage which he enjoyed with Joanne! His first wife found out he was quite friendly with James Dean! He passed away without regrets, bisexuality disregarded. Rest in peace Paul.
