Hollywood Poopsie
I attended a lavish Hollywood party a couple of months back. A special table was rolled to the center. On it was a sky high cake with the figures of legendary screen starlets Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis and Jane Fonda dancing under the word “poopsie”. The Hollywood mogul’s wife whose birthday we were celebrating sliced the cake and stuffed the extra-large slice into her mouth, the creamy icing splattering down her chin and onto her husband’s white shirt. “Poopsie, I love you more than anything”, he pronounced to the crowd.
I could not help but think how cool it once was to use the word “poopsie” in films. But you rarely hear it today. Sophia Loren had the lead role in the 1974 film “Poopsie”. Who in today’s world would qualify to be called the name that was once used in almost every Cary Grant, Rock Hudson or any other film that had a hot leading lady.
According to Urbandictionary.com there are several meanings of “Poopsie”. Here’s a list of the meanings and who today qualifies for that list:
1) This term is a nickname for the greatest thing to ever happen to a honkie and that is his beautiful girlfriend who is also his soulmate. The love of his life and a gift from God.
Winner: Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez.
2) A friendly and cute name for your friends or pets.
Winner: Paris Hilton’s dog Tinkerbell.
3) A relatively abnormal excrement that is awkwardly designed to resemble other things. This is used mainly by politicians to substitute the presence of a friend (but not limited to).
Winner: John Edwards
4) Describes a cool relaxed person who doesn’t care about anything.
Winner: Seth Rogan
5) Another word for fart
Winner: Jack Black
